A little detail I loved in "The Amazing Rudy": when Rudy is eating with the Belchers, Gene gives up his usual chair and sits in the folding chair, letting Rudy sit next to Louise.

I was trying to remember any other (non-Thanksgiving) occasions when one of the kids' friends ate with the family and the one I thought of was Tammy in "Sleeping with the Frenemy". Checking a screencap of that, I noticed that Tammy is sitting in the folding chair. No one is giving up their normal chair for Tammy.

So it's not like Bob and Linda force one of the kids to give up their chair for a guest. Gene chose to let Rudy sit in his chair (even though it was Gene's special B- dinner!) Just another cute Gene and Rudy moment in an episode that has a few of them ("love you, bro.")

it's so funny when people throw out the words like "victim" or "entitlement" when you're just talking vaguely about something that's annoying or bad.

i could say that i don't like how burgers are getting more expensive while dropping in quality, and there'd be some dumbass gutter dweller screeching "STOP PLAYING THE VICTIM CARD. you are NOT entitled to better burgers, SNOWFLAKE. and you're acting like someone is FORCING you to buy shitty food? I enjoy thinking about Rudy, Gene, and Zeke as future brothers-in-law and here's a small headcanon I came up with about that after the most recent episode:

About once a month or so the three of them and Bob get together to have dinner. Gene dreams up the entrees, Bob and Zeke do their best to make them into something good, Rudy helps however he can and offers positive feedback regardless of how it turns out (afterall, he found loaded baked potato lasagna to be "groundbreaking".)

20-30 years into the future. Bob regularly attends guys' night out with Gene and his in-laws; Zeke and Rudy. Sometimes they go to Jimmy Junior's nightclub or the bowling alley but this time they stay inside Bob's restaurant, having a beer while watching baseball on the TV.

As you might have noticed, the guys made it a tradition to wear their wedding bands on these nights out.

Hamilton Burger, Perry Mason's foe, the prosecuting attorney in most episodes of Perry Mason. I like to call him Ham, which is short for Hamilton because that makes his name hamburger, and that is fitting because Perry usually makes mince meat out of him. 😉😁 I respect Mr. Burger because he once said that as long as you find the truth and justice is served, all parties involved are winners. I like the sentiment.

Best part of the midnight burger S4 premier was when they were having fun and it basically just sounded like friends messing around together! Like I'd believe you if you said those giggly bits were outtakes but no it's scripted they love each other!! They're friends!! And they're silly sometimes!!
