Incidentally, we can't really talk about pragmatism without talking about Future Trunks.
Krillin is a devious and underhanded martial artist, but still a martial artist. Trunks is an assassin. He goes straight for the throat at every opportunity. He's not here to fight; He's here to kill.
Much like his father, Trunks is not a martial artist. Every bit Vegeta's son, he's naturally gifted and has already become a Super Saiyan by both of his first appearances - in the story, when he fights Frieza on Earth, and also chronologically in Trunks the Story: A Lone Warrior.
Tumblr media
I can't really say he's untrained. He was trained in the basics by Gohan. But Gohan is also not a martial artist; He's had one year and six months of proper martial arts training. One year from Piccolo and six months from Krillin.
Gohan's a fighter, guided by emotion moreso than technique. So there's a limit to how much Trunks can learn from him. Even Gohan admits that he's a poor substitute for his dad.
Tumblr media
This, I should note, is a meaningful admission from Gohan because this chapter was published at the very beginning of the Cell Games. Gohan outright saying "I wanted to follow in my dad's footsteps but the clothes aren't enough" sets up an important contrast to the Gohan of the present time who has had that time with Goku and is ready to take his place.
But his concession of inadequacy is important for how we interpret Trunks as well. Trunks knows the stuff. He can perform Bukujutsu. Throw ki blasts. Power up into a Super Saiyan. But he's not Goku or Krillin or Yamcha or Tenshinhan; Like Gohan and Vegeta, he is a fighter, not a martial artist.
His heart is in the right place, but he's reckless and foolhardy. Chomping at the bit for a piece of vengeance.
Tumblr media
This recklessness carries into his journey to the past. He never quite learns from his brief offscreen shitstomp by the Twins. He returns to a point in history just after Goku's return from space. Historically, this was a key moment in history where Goku showed up in the nick of time to save Earth from Frieza and his father King Cold. Which should technically be Great King Cold as it's Cold-Daio but he's far from the first king to have his Greatness dropped in translation, eh Piccolo?
But when Goku's late to the party, Trunks starts to worry and decides to step in himself.
Tumblr media
Look at him. The spitting image of his father, full of piss and vinegar.
It's here that we get to see Trunks as a fighter for the very first time. Even chronologically; In Trunks the Story, they skip most of the action; It's very brief.
I mean. It's an absolutely hilarious joke that we see Trunks flying off half-cocked to go get revenge and then he's waking up from a coma on the very next page. Amazing cutaway gag.
But we're here to talk about Trunks's DNA as a fighter, so Frieza offers us the first material we have to work with. And Trunks? He does not fuck around.
Tumblr media
Your soldiers are dead. Who's next?
Tumblr media
You're dead. Who's next?
Tumblr media
Your father's dead. We done here?
Trunks gives zero shits. In the span of two chapters, he massacres Frieza, Cold, and all of their soldiers without an ounce of hesitation. He is not playing.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He was even paying attention to the part where Frieza can survive grievous amounts of harm and come back. He takes great care to thoroughly and utterly annihilate every last bit of Frieza. Taking no chances.
Trunks isn't here to fight. He's here to kill. He is not interested in a protracted martial arts bout.
This fight, incidentally, also gives us a moment to talk about Trunks's sword. Cold-Dumbass thinks Trunks's sword is the key to his power.
Tumblr media
He's an idiot. There's a reason he only exists for like three chapters and one page of a fourth. This man doesn't even understand how weapons work in anime.
Japan and the West have very different relationships with weapons. When Westerners think of weapons, we think of guns. Even when we write medieval weapons, we treat them like guns. Guns are disposable tools that bestow killing power upon their wielder. Any average Joe with a gun suddenly becomes a lethal warrior.
But Japan has a rich history and philosophy baked into their culture surrounding weapons and their role in martial arts. In anime, a weapon does not grant power; It manifests power. The weapon is an extension of its wielder. It's a means by which the wielder expresses their own strength.
In Trunks's hands, that sword can cut through Frieza. Because Trunks is powerful, and his might outshines Frieza's.
In Cold's hands, however, that sword is harmless. Because Cold is weak and cowardly. (Uh, relative to Trunks.) He has no power to express.
Tumblr media
But Goku is strong. Goku knows power intimately, far beyond Trunks's understanding. And so Trunk's sword, his expression of power, is useless against Goku.
Tumblr media
This is what Trunks's sword means, to him and to the story. It's an extension of his character and his strength; The means by which he delivers his killing force. Which is precisely what makes this moment so devastating.
Tumblr media
When 18 breaks Trunks's sword, she breaks Trunks. The damage to his blade is honestly not that severe. It could probably be reforged. But the damage to Trunks's self-image, to his psyche, is unshakable.
Trunks never uses his sword again. He leaves it on the plane here.
Tumblr media
And then we never see it again. Instead, Trunks decides to pursue greater martial arts training alongside his father, following in Vegeta's footsteps.
Tumblr media
But he never quite loses his assassin streak. Though he begins to develop his abilities as a fighter from this point forward, Trunks is goal-oriented. He wants to kill the Twins. He doesn't care how that happens.
In the original version of these events, before Cell further altered the timeline, those blueprints were the key to Trunks's victory against the Twins of his timeline.
Tumblr media
Though Cell has no idea how Trunks pulled off this victory despite being too weak to defend himself from Cell himself, the discovery of Gero's lab offers us a possible explanation.
Tumblr media
The Twins have shutdown switches built into their systems. Though 17 destroyed the remote Gero built, Bulma is able to use these blueprints to build a new one.
Tumblr media
So there's a solid implication that the weaker Trunks of Cell's timeline took Bulma's remote home with him and disabled the Twins that way. Again: He's not here to fight. He's here to kill. It doesn't matter how he does it.
...well, I guess it does matter 'cause that Trunks got wasted by Cell five minutes later.
Point is, Trunks wears his goal-oriented ruthlessness on his sleeve. He's not driven by pride of by love of the art. He has a job he's here to do.
Tumblr media
However that single-minded focus, that determination to get it done, also holds him back. Trunks has never had proper martial training. He's been taught by Future Gohan, who is not a martial artist. And he's... taught himself near Vegeta. His developed his abilities and increased his strength, but he doesn't know fighting the way Goku or Krillin or Yamcha or Ten do. Nor does he have Vegeta's natural brilliance and general understanding.
Trunks, for all his strength and all his determination and all his killing instinct, is an amateur. We all know what happened to him in the last fight he ever fought here in the present.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Vegeta breaks the limits of the Super Saiyan and realizes that this power is good but comes at a cost, so he should only do it sparingly.
Goku breaks the limits of the Super Saiyan and realizes this form sucks and is stupid, and decides to go a different route entirely.
But Trunks breaks the limits of the Super Saiyan and goes "AWWW YEAH THIS IS THE SHIT GIMME THAT POWER" because he doesn't know. He has a killer's instinct, not a martial artist's. He's never been trained in technique.
We see, over the course of this series, both Trunks's strengths and his weaknesses as a fighter. In every altercation, he goes straight for the throat. Which is brutally effective when he has the power to back it up but Trunks, more than anyone, is vulnerable to a crushing defeat if he doesn't have the Power Level to back it up. He has nothing else.
Still, he gets to go out on a high note. His final chapter sees him return to the future, not with the remote but with the great strength he gained in the Room of Spirit and Time. And he gets to clean house his way - slaughtering the Twins efficiently and thoroughly, in true Trunks fashion.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And also getting Cell for good measure.
Tumblr media
Godspeed, killer. You were the best your world had left to offer but you rose to the occasion, and that's the most that could be asked of anyone.

I'm convinced Toriyama doesn't like Tien. Because the way he did him dirty in so many ways was just awful. You can't tell me that the guy who beat Goku in a 1v1(even if he was lucky), is being folded by King Piccolos Henchmen easily just 2 days later.
I get that Goku is the mc, but after at the 23rd Budokai Goku literally played with him, also meaning that he's nothing compared to Piccolo Jr.
Then there's DBZ where he was basically entirely useless (and don't even mention the Cell Scene)
That guy literally has 3 eyes, can spawn a set of arms, has no past, and brought Bukujutsu(flying) into the show. You can't tell me there isn't ANY room for a power up. Or what about latent potential, it took piccolo way to long too
(yes, that includes Yamcha aswell)
But even leaving all of that aside, the Buu saga treatment was cruel. He wasn't even there half of the time. He saved Dende ans Satan and went down after one hit (which is fine actually). But he just "disappeared" after Dende healed him.
Kid Buu blew up the earth, and they just die on earth completely unmentioned.
Then the Earth is brought back and the last thing ever you see of Tien and Chaozu was them contributing to the Genkidama(Spirit Bomb)
For the last Tournament they "didn't get a hold of them" so they didn't even get to be in the last episode ever. Just showing them doing their thing like a cameo in gt isn't that hard
I'm happy they got some screentime in DBS, even if they aren't as strong maybe
Or did I miss something?

Not speaking about MasakoX but What Ifs in general: what would you like to see in a Dragonball AU?
Lol. Yeah I'm done answering questions about MasakoX's What Ifs for a while. I ain't very interested in them to begin with. I liked the other videos/series he stopped making.
As for my thoughts on a DB AU I would like to see... A story with more balance in terms of power and character usage.
I mentioned in an old post how I would make SSJ work. Saiyans need a tail in order to turn SSJ. If the tail is removed, then they revert to base similar to their Oozaru forms. But, their tail always regrows. This helps identify them as Saiyans too. Also, this would raise the stakes & allow for the non Saiyan characters to participate in battles more often. I would have the humans learn magic too since Earth is very mystical. Spells that change their aura while also giving them a speed, power, durability, stamina, or a healing perk. Imagine the humans doing Naruto hand poses to cast a spell on themselves, or announce some kind of jutsu. Different from the bukujutsu/flight. And "jutsu" means "art/technique/magic." (Also I dont know much about Naruto in case ppl think I do. I just know basic stuff.) But back to DB, magic is very powerful. So that mixed with martial arts would be a smart combination. Imagine Krillin using magic to fly super fast while on Namek instead of ki (like how Babidi uses magic to fly). Krillin would go completely undetected. Or a human character using a spell to create a protective barrier on Earth so that certain attacks wont destroy it. Or the humans using a durability spell so they can use the Kaioken without damaging their bodies. So, while Saiyans focus more on brute strength, humans focus more on ki & magic abilities. And Piccolo is somewhere in between.
Another AU I think would be fun is inspired by Injustice. Bulma creates some sort of pill that temporarily gives human characters the abilities of Saiyans. So when they take the pill before a battle, they grow in power during combat. But the effects of the pill dont last long enough for them to get a zenkai boost after the battle. And since they aren't truly Saiyans and are using science to mimic Saiyan abilities... When the human fighters take the Saiya Pill, they can't transform into Super Saiyan. Instead, they transform into False Super Saiyan. They get the golden aura & maybe their pupils would disappear. This allows for humans to have a pseudo transformation.

In the hustle and bustle of the modern world, amidst the gleaming skyscrapers and the symphony of technology, there lies a forgotten art, a whisper of the arcane—Bukujutsu, the ancient practice of levitation. While many have dismissed it as a myth or a relic of a bygone era, there remains a dedicated few who still believe in the possibility of unlocking this extraordinary ability. This guide serves as a beacon of hope for those eager to explore the uncharted territories of their own potential, providing a clear, concise, and surprisingly easy approach to achieving levitation.
The first step in this journey is to dispel any preconceived notions of what Bukujutsu is and isn't. It is not about defying gravity with sheer willpower or relying on mystical artifacts. Instead, it is about understanding and mastering the subtle energies that permeate the very fabric of reality. These energies, often referred to as chi or prana, are accessible to all living beings, and it is through the harmonious balance of these forces that levitation becomes possible. Begin by learning the basics of meditation, which will serve as the foundation for your practice. Regular sessions will help you to quieten the mind, focus your thoughts, and become more attuned to the subtle vibrations within and around you.
Once you've established a solid meditation routine, you'll be ready to delve into the physical aspects of Bukujutsu. Start with simple exercises that enhance your balance and core strength, as these are essential for maintaining the correct posture during levitation. Practice standing on one leg, holding poses for extended periods, and engaging in activities that challenge your equilibrium, such as yoga or tai chi. These disciplines will not only prepare your body for the rigors of levitation but also help to align your inner energy in a way that is conducive to the art. It is crucial to remain patient and persistent, for progress in Bukujutsu is often gradual, revealing itself in small, incremental steps rather than grand, overnight transformations.
As your balance and core strength improve, introduce the concept of visualization into your practice. Picture yourself floating gently above the ground, weightless and free from the constraints of the material world. Visualize the flow of energy from the Earth, up through your body, and into the sky. Imagine it as a gentle current that lifts you effortlessly, allowing you to hover in mid-air. This mental training is as vital as the physical, for it is through the power of the mind that you will ultimately learn to manipulate the unseen forces that govern levitation.
Next, incorporate breathing techniques into your daily regimen. Proper breath control is essential in channeling and directing the flow of chi. Begin by taking deep, slow breaths, filling your lungs completely and exhaling with purpose. Focus on the sensation of the air moving through your body, and how it affects the energy within you. As you become more adept, practice holding your breath for longer periods while maintaining your equilibrium. This will strengthen your lung capacity and enhance your ability to manipulate the chi.
The third stage of your training involves the activation of specific pressure points, or acupoints, throughout your body. These points are gateways to the flow of chi, and by applying gentle but firm pressure, you can stimulate and regulate its movement. Research traditional Chinese medicine texts and consult with knowledgeable practitioners to locate the most relevant acupoints for levitation. Once identified, massage these areas daily while meditating, and combine this with your visualization exercises. Over time, you will notice a heightened sense of energy flow and a newfound lightness in your being.
As you progress, begin to integrate the physical and mental aspects of Bukujutsu. While standing in your meditative pose, visualize your body as a conduit for the Earth's energy. Imagine it rising up through your legs, into your core, and then extending through your arms and out of your fingertips. Concentrate on the sensation of lightness and the release of any tension or weight that might be holding you down. With each exhalation, feel the energy ascend, and with each inhalation, draw more of it into your being.
Now, it's time to introduce the concept of grounding. This involves connecting with the Earth's magnetic field and using it to anchor your body. Walk barefoot on the grass or on a sandy beach, allowing the soles of your feet to absorb the Earth's energy. Perform your balance exercises in these natural settings to deepen your connection to the planet. As you become more proficient, you can attempt to hover slightly off the ground, using the power of your focused breath and visualization to maintain a state of equilibrium. Start with just a fraction of an inch and gradually increase the distance.
To aid in your grounding practice, you may find it helpful to use certain crystals and minerals that are known to facilitate the flow of chi. Stones such as hematite, black tourmaline, and smoky quartz can be placed on your body during meditation or carried with you throughout the day. These natural tools will help you to remain grounded while simultaneously raising your vibrational frequency, making it easier to access the higher states of consciousness required for levitation.
As your skills progress, you'll want to refine your understanding of the energy centers, or chakras, within your body. Each chakra corresponds to different aspects of your being, and by balancing and aligning these centers, you can optimize the flow of chi. Begin by focusing on the root chakra, located at the base of your spine, and work your way up through the remaining six, visualizing each one as a spinning wheel of light. As you meditate, send energy to any chakras that feel blocked or sluggish, and watch as they begin to spin in harmony with one another.
Once your chakras are balanced, you can begin to experiment with more advanced levitation techniques. One such method is to create a cushion of energy beneath your body, using the power of your mind to form a stable, invisible platform. Start by lying down on the floor and visualizing a pillow of light supporting your body. Gradually, increase the intensity of this light until you feel a slight sensation of lifting. With practice, you may find that you can actually hover a few inches above the ground. Remember to remain calm and focused, as any sudden movements or loss of concentration can disrupt the delicate balance necessary for levitation.
Another approach is to harness the power of intent. Visualize a specific spot in the air where you wish to levitate and focus all of your attention on that point. Use the power of your will to draw the chi from the Earth up through your body and into that spot. Over time, with unwavering commitment and practice, you may find yourself floating to that exact location. It's important to set realistic goals and to not push your limits too quickly. Injury and frustration can arise from impatience, so always prioritize your safety and well-being.
Incorporate sound vibrations into your practice. Certain frequencies are known to resonate with the human energy field and can assist in the process of levitation. Play calming, healing music during your sessions or use chanting and mantras to help raise your vibrational state. The ancient art of mantra meditation has been used for centuries to access higher consciousness and manipulate the flow of chi. Experiment with different sounds and tones to find what works best for you.
Collaborate with a like-minded community. While the path of Bukujutsu is largely solitary, the support and guidance of others on the same journey can be invaluable. Join online forums, attend workshops, or seek out a local group of practitioners who share your passion for the art. Together, you can exchange insights, share experiences, and provide encouragement during the challenging moments.
As you continue to hone your levitation skills, it's essential to maintain a balanced lifestyle. Pay attention to your diet and ensure you're consuming foods that are rich in life-force energy, such as fresh fruits and vegetables, nuts, and whole grains. Avoid processed foods and substances that can dull your senses or disrupt your chi, such as alcohol, caffeine, and heavy meats. Regular exercise, adequate rest, and a positive attitude will all contribute to your overall progress.
To further enhance your practice, consider learning from a master of Bukujutsu. A skilled teacher can provide personalized guidance and help you overcome any obstacles you may encounter along the way. While the internet is a treasure trove of information, nothing can replace the wisdom and experience of someone who has walked the path before you. They can offer advanced techniques and provide the encouragement needed to persevere when the going gets tough.
As you advance in your levitation abilities, you'll likely experience moments of doubt or skepticism from those around you. It's important to maintain your integrity and only share your newfound talents with those who are open to the possibility of such phenomena. Use your powers wisely and for the greater good. Bukujutsu is not merely a party trick or a means of gaining attention but a profound expression of human potential and harmony with the universe.
The final stage of your Bukujutsu training involves mastering the art of transcendence. This is the pinnacle of the discipline, where you learn to leave the constraints of your physical body behind and ascend into the realm of pure consciousness. Through deep meditation and the manipulation of your chi, you can achieve out-of-body experiences, allowing you to explore the vastness of existence beyond the limitations of the material plane. This is a sacred and deeply personal journey, one that requires utmost respect and discipline.
As you reach this stage, it is essential to integrate ethical considerations into your practice. With great power comes great responsibility, and the ability to levitate is not to be used for personal gain or to manipulate others. Instead, harness this gift to aid in healing, enlightenment, and the betterment of humanity. Share your knowledge with those who seek it genuinely and use your newfound abilities to uplift the spirits of those around you.
In your quest for mastery, you may encounter unexpected challenges, both physical and spiritual. These are not signs of failure but rather opportunities for growth. Embrace them as part of the learning process, and know that each hurdle you overcome brings you one step closer to achieving true levitation. Remember to stay grounded in reality, as the pursuit of power without humility can lead to imbalance and harm.
As your abilities evolve, you will likely discover new dimensions of consciousness that were previously inaccessible to you. These experiences can be profound and life-altering, providing a deeper understanding of the interconnectedness of all things. Use these insights to enrich your daily life, making choices that are in harmony with the natural flow of energy.
One of the most significant hurdles in your Bukujutsu journey will be mastering the art of concentration. The ability to focus your mind entirely on the task at hand is paramount to achieving levitation. Develop this skill by engaging in activities that require unwavering attention, such as playing a musical instrument, solving complex puzzles, or practicing martial arts. The more you challenge your mental acuity, the more you will find it easier to maintain the focus necessary for levitation.
Another key component of your training will be learning to manipulate your chi while in motion. Start by performing simple movements such as walking or light jogging while visualizing the energy flowing through your body. As you become more adept, attempt to maintain this visualization while executing more complex maneuvers. This will train your mind to maintain the necessary focus and control of chi, even when your physical form is in a state of change.
Incorporate visualization into your daily activities. Imagine levitating as you go about your day, whether you're standing in line at the grocery store or sitting at your desk. The more you integrate the concept of levitation into your consciousness, the more natural it will feel when you actively attempt it. This constant mental practice will reinforce your physical training and accelerate your progress.
As your abilities develop, you may find that your dreams become more vivid, and instances of spontaneous levitation may occur during sleep. These are known as lucid dreams, where you maintain conscious awareness while dreaming. Explore these experiences as they can provide a safe and controlled environment to practice and refine your Bukujutsu skills. With enough practice, you can learn to induce these dreams at will, offering a unique opportunity to train your mind and body for levitation in a state where the physical laws of the waking world do not apply.
Another pivotal aspect of your training will be the cultivation of a strong, unshakeable belief in your capabilities. This belief is not about ego but about understanding that the limitations we impose on ourselves are often the greatest barriers to achieving what we once thought impossible. Surround yourself with positive affirmations, and regularly remind yourself that you are capable of transcending the bounds of gravity. This mental reprogramming will reinforce your efforts and help you to push through any plateaus in your progress.
As you become more adept at harnessing the power of chi, you'll begin to notice subtle changes in your everyday life. You may find that your mood is more balanced, your reflexes are quicker, and your sense of awareness is heightened. These are all by-products of your increased connection to the energy that surrounds and fuels us all. Embrace these changes, as they are indicators that your practice is having a profound effect on both your inner and outer worlds.

Is there any explanation over why Master Roshi never bothered learning Bukujutsu?
None that I'm aware of. Just never really needed it, given his vehicles and being mostly retired.

Just a collection of my headcanons about the Dragon World:
Tumblr media
I have no reason in particular for the photo, I just think it's neat.
Bukujutsu is a technique replicated by the crane master from Piccolo Daimao's flying
After the first wish of the dragon balls made someone king, all the relevant memories of everyone on Earth that time and have connection with the people of the planet is altered. This includes the memories regarding aliens that have always visited them and are in friendly terms with them (triclops)
All the monster-type earthlings are descendants of aliens, no one just remembers
Triclops and Triclops-Earthlings are people who are experts of body and spirit and that's why they have ki techniques that endangers someone's health. Tenshinhan is tapping to their forbidden techniques without realizing it
People who were drank by Cell still remembers it and are traumatized. Not all of them believed that Satan killed Cell but some who did only did so because there's nothing else to make sense of
Speaking of people who needs therapy, Eighter/Android #8 became a psychiatrist who specializes in things like the case with piccolo daimao, cell, and being brought back to life in general. (In all of my stories, he's specifically Gohan's psychiatrist because every single one Gohan had didn't believe the first words that he say, which is "my dad is an alien, I'm a hybrid, and my uncle kidnapped me when I was 4 to make my dad kill people")
One of Piccolo Daimao's children from his first attack got away and made a clan of his own. Initially, he and his children hid from people but at some point they realized they can blend in as monster-type earthlings so they did (I made two OCs because I'm so in love with the idea with some of them just chilling with humans)
Namekians are a special mortal racekind whose ancestor was born on the boundary of the 6th and 7th universe and that's why they're born with abilities that only a core person would have had. Zalama was as big as the Earth's moon who lived in a large planet in isolation. They encouraged their children to explore the universes and are friends with the first kaioshins, the angels, and the first gods of destruction. Whis still remembers them and was there when they created the super dragon balls, he just didn't tell anybody he knew about it for his own entertainment.
I'll add some if I remember any. I'm mostly writing the non-character specific ones here.
Part II: Namekian Culture HCs

OMG all those prompts scream Marten (and Trunks xD) to me!! Wouldn't you like to try to use them all in the same story? No? :P If not, “Hold my hand before I stab you with it." please? xD This is how prompts work right? I'm lost...
Title: “Regaining My Wings”
Words: 2410
Pairing: Marten (Goten x Marron)
A/N: Here is my submission for Marron Day for @dbnextgenweek !! I’m so sorry it’s so late! I was rusty from not writing in so long. I had to rewrite this like four times until I had something I actually liked lol.
This just a super fluffy self indulgent oneshot like all the rest, but please enjoy! I may post on AO3 later
Flight, also known as the ‘bukujutsu’ technique. Many years ago,it was an extremely advanced martial arts technique that only a select few ofmartial arts masters knew.
Those days however were long gone. Even Son Goku’s owngranddaughter, Pan, learned to fly when she was just a little baby.
Flying had become just as easy as walking for the Z Fighters.
Except if you were like Marron and afraid of anything to do withheights, including flying.
Marron never used to be afraid. Not even the slightest. When Marron was achild, she’d be the first one to want to go higher and higher when she wouldride on the Flying Nimbus when on adventures with her two best friends, Gotenand Trunks.
However, one incident when she was about nine years old changedthat.
Marron was happily sitting on the Nimbus with Goten in front ofher, peering over and looking at the amazing sights. The rolling mountains werebeautiful that high up. Oceans seemed never ending. It was simply breathtakingfor an adventurous child.
But then, when she leaned further down to get a better look at apretty bird flying by, Marron accidentally slipped off the fluffy yellow cloudand plummeted towards the Earth.
Marron screamed and covered her face with her hands, sobbing, until she suddenly stopped. After realizing what had happened, shewiped her eyes and opened them to see Goten smiling down at her. He had jumpedoff of Nimbus and caught her. She was shaking and really freaked out, butotherwise was fine.
But since that day Marron off heights (and ever learning how tofly) for good.
Krillin and 18 tried to help her get over her fear a dozen times, but being as stubborn as she was, Marron wouldn’t even consider it for years.Every time she even looked over from somewhere high up, her legs would turn tojelly and her heart would jump into her throat like the time she actually didfall.
The only time she slightly budged was after she and Goten starteddating. Marron would only go on Nimbus if she could sit on his lap and cling tohim for dear life while keeping her eyes shut, not opening them until theylanded. Of course, she still didn’t know how to fly and had no plans to learneither. But it made her so happy.
Goten was always so supportive with her. He never once held itagainst her for being scared and always comforted her. No matter what, Marronfelt the safest flying with him. Besides that stupid adorable smile of his thatalways made her heart do flips, that’s what she loved most about him.
One time however, he (and Marron) were close to falling straightthrough the Nimbus because he almost got a bit too comfy withMarron sitting on his lap. It wasn’t his fault though! What else could he thinkabout when she always looked so pretty and smelled so nice? At least that’swhat he told himself.
That was almost five months ago.
It was another beautiful spring day; perfect for being outside. Marronand Goten were having a picnic date on the grass near the Son family home. Theyweren’t able to see each all week due to Marron’s cheerleading and Goten’sskipping class to train, so a weekend date was just what they both needed.
Marron wore a frilly, light-blue colored sundress and a straw sunhat. She looked absolutely gorgeous. Goten had on his signature ‘Son’ t shirtand jeans. He wanted to dress more formally but Marron insisted he was perfectjust the way he was.
The young couple had just finished eating, and were laying back onthe picnic blanket, snuggled together as they watched the clouds.
Marron pointed out different shapes. Some were little animals, andone even looked like Piccolo. The others however, were just not at all what shewas saying.
“What do mean a bear in a top hat? That’s clearly a monkey at a buffet!”
Marron sat up and stared at him. Of course that dork would seefood. “You know you’re wrong, right?”
“If by wrong, you mean right, then yes!” Goten fired back, hislips curling into his signature wide grin. “That’s clearly a monkey. See? He’sgot a tail. I’ll give you the top hat though.”
Marron giggled and playfully punched his arm before lying backdown besides him.
These peaceful days really were great. They hoped it would neverend.
Just then, Goku appeared using Instant Transmission with littlePan on his shoulders. They had just returned from the grocery store. Goten and Marron both shot up.
“Oh, hey Goten! Hi Marron! Am I interrupting?”
Marron shook her head and bowed her head. “Of course not! T-Thankyou for having me!”
“Ahh it’s nothin’! You’re like family to us.”
At the sight of her uncle, the toddler practically lunged off ofGoku’s shoulders towards Goten, tackling him into a hug.
Goten laughed and caught Pan. “Hey squirt!” He grinnedand ruffled Pan’s hair making the girl giggle.
“Me and Grandpa are gonna go flyin’ later! Do you wants tocome?” Aunt Marron, you can come too!“ Pan chirped. Ever since she learnedto fly, she would always go out for 'flying adwentures’ as she would say.
Marron frowned. She didn’t want to hold him back just because shecouldn’t fly… "Goten, it’s okay, go ahead.”
Goten only turned back to her and winked. “Panny, I’d love tobut Mare and I have plans.”
Pan just stared up at him with wide-eyed curiosity. “You meanlike kissy-kissy?” She said and then erupted into giggles and ran to Gokuwho had a teasing grin as wide as hers.
“Did you tell her to say that?!”
Goku only grinned. “Well, is she right?”
No that’s… that’s not it at all!” Goten replied back. Was he seriously arguing with a three year old?
“Then why are you blushing?” Goku said, grinning.
Traitor! His father was normally on his side!
“Sheesh! It’s been a year you guys, when are you gonna stopteasing me?”
“The wedding~” Chi-Chi’s voice came from the upperbalcony. She was taking dried clothes off the hanger to be put away. She giggledat her son’s flustered reaction. Honestly, she loved teasing her three boys. Goten got even more easily emabarrassed than Gohan did at his age.
“Very funny.” He replied back and turned back to Marron, who was hiding her cute face from embarrassment. Her blush went from ear toear. Although it was embarrassing, she loved it. Marron gushed at the thoughtof getting married. She recalled the days when they would play house back inthe old days. Goten really had no clue, but just played along.
Goku then jumped two stories onto their upper deck, startling hiswife a bit. Goku winked at her and started helping her put away the laundrywhile Panny chased a butterfly on the grass below.
“Now’s our chance.” Goten flipped onto his feet and pulledMarron up by the hand.
She couldn’t help but blush. What was he doing so suddenly?!“G-Goten, h-hold on a second! W-Where are we going?!”
“Nowhere far! C'mon!” Goten (quite literally) swept hisgirlfriend off of her feet and into his arms and ran down the road. Marron’s hat blew off her head and fell onto the blanket as Pan trotted over to it.
Chi-Chi and Goku exchanged similar grins with each other as theirson fled and Pan giggled from below, now wearing the hat.
Goten and Marron came to a nearby clearing with a huge lake. Hegently put Marron down, and she adjusted her dress.
“What’s the big idea?”
Marron was blushing fromthe close contact but shook it off and gazed out onto the lake. It really was beautiful. She held her hands behind her back and stared over the lake. The crystal-clear water glistened in the sunlight. Her long silky blonde hair blew in the slight breeze, tickling Goten’s nose.
“Dad used to take me here to go fishing all the time when Iwas little. Now we all go with Panny.” She heard him say. Goten inhaledand took a deep breath. “I’m feeling up for a swim! You in?”
Just then he felt a tug on the back of his shirt. ”…Hey,Goten…“
"What’s wrong?”
Marron looked away from him slightly, her ears burning. This wasit. She’d have to get over her fear sooner or later, and this would be theperfect time! “…I want to learn…” It came out as a tiny whisper, but she said it. And it felt good.
“Huh?”
“I want to learn. Teach me how to fly! I’m… I’m sick ofbeing scared! I want to go flying with you! And go out on Nimbus with you andactually have my eyes open for once! I promise I won’t hold you back anymore!”She said, fighting tears at that last part.
Goten took a step closer and brought his girlfriend into a hug, smiling warmly down at her. "Mare, it’s okay.” He gently pushed astrand of hair away from her face. “You’ve never held me back and younever will. Nothing will change that. I’ll gladly teach you. I’m honored thatyou asked me.”
"I love you, you big dork…” Marron replied, restingher head against his chest.
“I love you too.” Goten grinned and held her closer.
Marron looked down at her feet and then back up at him.“…But what if… what if I fall?” He could just hear it in hervoice. She was petrified of falling again.
“You won’t fall. I’ll be right here. You have the skill,Mare. It’s there, I know it is. You just have to stop doubting yourself. Youcan do this.”
Marron’s heart fluttered. Just like always, he knew just what tosay. She leaned up onto her tip-toes and softly kissed his lips. “You’reso sweet…”
She knew the basics of Ki and how to fight, just didn’t care forfighting. It was boring to her. She always preferred watching fights, especially from the World Tournament. The adrenaline she got from watchingfights far exceeded what she would get from something like sparring. And plus, she loved supporting her Goten in his fights.
“How did you do it so quickly? You were so young!”
Goten shrugged. “It just came easy to me, I guess. I alreadyknew all about ki, plus being half Saiyan really helps.”
Gohan had taught Goten when he was just seven years old. Beingcalled a 'super pedestrian’, whatever the heck that was, was the last straw!
After he learned that hopping and flying were in fact different,it came easy to him and soon enough…
“Birdy, a birdy, Goten is a birdy!” Little Goten sang tohimself as he flew around in figure-eight patterns high in the sky.
Goten grinned and put his hands behind his head. “Yup. Thosewere the days!”
“Personally, I think you were much cuter back then.”Marron winked at him while saying that.
“Hey! I’ll have you know I’m still very handsome!” Gotenwhined, cracking a grin.
Marron rolled her eyes with a smile and stepped away. After a moment, Marron took a deep breath andfaced him again.
“Ok. I’m ready.” Marron said. “But only on onecondition.”
“What’s that?”
“…Hold my hand.”
Goten smiled. “Is that all?
“Yes! I’m scared! So you…y-you’d better hold my handbefore… I- I stab you with it…!” Marron said, pouting up at him. Itwas obvious she just made up the first thing that came to her mind. “Orelse…”
Or else? Goten chuckled at that. He couldn’t help it when she gotall pouty and blushy like that. Especially when she’d 'threaten’ him. Usuallywith no more kisses, but he knew she’d break before he did. She always lookedso cute when she got like that.
“Of course, Here.” He held both hands out for her, notbeing able to help laughing a bit.
“…I’m serious, Goten! Don’t you dare laugh at me! Y-You’dbetter not let go either! Or… or I’ll never forgive you!” Marron said, her voice almost a squeak. She looked like she was about to cry, but it was stillso cute.
Goten leaned down and kissed Marron on the forehead, his fingersstill gently entwined with hers. “You’re too cute.”
Marron’s face turned an even brighter red. She looked like atomato. “You dummy, be serious…”
“I promise. You’re safe with me.”
“I…  I don’t know if I cando it…“
"You can do it. Just look at me, okay? Focus on me. Remember, just relax. Feel your energy from within and slowly bring it out beneath you. You can do this. I’m right here.”
Marron heart fluttered at his words. They were soothing. Shetightly shut her eyes and focused. After a moment she could feel her feet liftoff the ground and she grips his hands tighter. Goten floated up with her. Itwas relaxing, freeing almost. She felt weightless as if gravity no longer hadan effect on her.
“You’re doing it, Mare! You’re flying!” Marron openedher eyes to see that she and Goten were floating about ten feet in the air. Sheyelped and buried her face into his chest, her eyes tightly shut again.“It’s too high, …I-I can’t…”
“But you already are. All by yourself. There’s nothing to beafraid of.” She heard him tenderly say. “You’re doing it!” Gotengently said. “Want to try moving now?”
Marron slowly nodded. She repositioned herself horizontally andslowly moved around. It appeared as if she was swimming through the air as shelightly kicked her feet. Goten guided her.
She started out pretty wobbly, and didn’t keep her eyes off Goten, but she was flying all by herself. Actually flying! And not falling! “I’m doingit!” She cried happily. When she was up there with him, her fears were allgone.
“See? Now you’re a little birdy too.” He grinned as warmas the sun gleaming behind him. She’d be a natural in no time. He was so proudof her.
Marron was almost brought to tears. Her beautiful blue eyes turnedglossy as he just grinned. She sniffled and wiped her eyes with her free handand flew at him into a deep kiss. They stayed up there for what felt like aneternity, both not wanting to move.
Marron couldn’t be happier.
Now if only she could figure out how to get down…

Okay, great scene, but I don’t understand the physics behind it (I know, physics in Dragon Ball, but hear me out):
There’s no bukujutsu in the Tournament Of Power, so characters can’t fly with ki. We’ve seen characters stop/redirect their momentum midair with ki blasts to avoid falling off the stage, but that’s not what Freeza seems to be doing when he first appears behind Goku in midair to kick him, then lands right back on the stage with him gracefully. No indication he redirected himself with a ki blast.
The only thing I can think of is Freeza’s jump was an arc and what we’re seeing is him falling from the peak of the jump when he kicks Goku (good fucking timing, Freeza), then... he propelled himself off debris off screen? I got nothing.
But also, Goku’s fucking hand is missing in the third frame. Thanks Super.

Random thought after being awake nearly 24 hours
So what if anime style martial arts were a real thing? Like, if you trained hard enough you could legitimately punch so hard you break stuff with wind pressure, you could jump off a three story building and just land like you walked down the stairs, and you could blast ki out of you like plasma beams. Can you imagine armies made up of these guys? Just... soldiers going out in full battle rattle, but they're like "M4s? Hell, .50 cals? Leave 'em, people can just catch those bullets." So they just rush the enemy and start doing that crazy super speed punching and ki blasts are flying everywhere. Aviation is just made up of a bunch of people who can use the bukujutsu or some other flying technique. Artillery is some guy doing a spirit bomb or a damned makankosappo. Don't even get me started on black ops. They'd probably have crazy anime ninjutsu. Doing shadow clones and casting crazy illusions. The best part would be that most people would be able to do this stuff to some degree. You'd have kamehameha video tutorials so some middle aged businessman can feel like they're regaining their youth. Maybe yoga classes at the gym would include how to stretch your limbs out to twice their length. Teachers would be assigning detention by bubbling their students in an energy shield. Of course, then you get that postal worker who snaps and tries to use the shungokusatsu on his coworkers and boss. There'd be debates on ki control, and not the kind you get by ascending to Super Saiyan Blue. Oh, to live in such a world...

I'm curious what Tenshinhan's fighting style is beyond general weirdness lol. I always interpreted it as a "showing off" sort of style back in the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai, with most of his moves being visually impressive and/or intended to instill despair in his opponent, but then you have his kikōhō, a move that damages the self for greater strength...
Tenshinhan is fucking weird is what he is.
I mean that sincerely. Fitting for a man who walks in with three eyes like that's totally normal and no one ever speaks of it, Tenshinhan's style comes straight from the realm of the bizarre and esoteric. He's an outside-the-box challenger to test the limits of Goku's counter-fighting.
He is the drunken boxer. The fighting game character that plays utterly differently from all other characters, making them hard to learn but unpredictable when mastered. Ten forges his own way through martial arts with off-the-wall tricks and game-changing shenanigans.
It's just. Easy to forget how weird he is because the rest of the cast have thoroughly cannibalized his style. Kame-senryu are a bunch of fucking thieves.
Tumblr media
This eye-searing image is the most normal thing Ten has in his repertoire.
Ten and Chiaotzu lay out that they're going to be... unlike anything we've seen before right from the get-go, when they use psychic powers to rig the matches.
Tumblr media
Already, it's clear that we're about to see some weird shit. Both of these characters are built on the martial arts philosophy of "Okay what the hell even is that, how did you even bring laser eyes to a knife fight?"
Ten in particular is a formidable martial artist.
Tumblr media
But as early as his first match, the oddball nature of his abilities start to settle in.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Okay, so Ten can just Nope any Kamehameha thrown at him. Sure. Guess that's a thing now. New rule, guys: No more Kamehamehas.
But you also kinda get it. Like. Tsuru-senryu is the rival school to Kame-senryu, and the Kamehameha is the signature technique of Kame-senryu. So it makes sense that they'd develop countermeasures for the Kamehameha.
Also, they can levitate.
Tumblr media
Well, that's going to make scoring a ringout fucking hard, isn't it? One of the two ways you win in this tournament is by making your opponent fall in the grass outside the ring, and these fuckers can fly.
Tumblr media
That's unfair, is what that is. They don't even need to use helicopter tail shenanigans or a well-aimed Kamehameha for propulsion to do it. They can just decide that they don't feel like being rung out today.
This is the first technique that doesn't seem so special today because everybody cannibalized their Bukujutsu. But at the time, it was unique. Even Taopaipai, their idol, couldn't fly. He got around by the delightfully comical method of throwing something really hard and then jumping on it and being taken for a ride.
Tumblr media
Taopaipai was doing Breath of the Wild rock transit decades before it was cool.
As the tournament picks up, Chiaotzu foreshadows the bizarre nature of the fights ahead when he reveals his ultimate technique: Binding his opponent in place with psychic powers so they can't defend themselves.
Tumblr media
That's. Not. Really. A martial art? Even by the incredibly loose definitions already on display in this manga. It's closer to General Blue's paralyzing glare. And there's a lot more of that to come.
Further included in Ten's repertoire of Weird Shit (TM) is his third eye, which serves a vital function in combat until everyone starts ki sensing and it ceases to be relevant.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ten has enhanced perception, allowing him to see things that others can't. This is notably distinct from being able to sense people by following their ki signatures. A distinction the Muten-Roshi helpfully lays out by stating he can't see Goku but can sense him just before Ten confirms he can still see him.
When Goku meets Popo, we'll have entered the realm where the limitations of human eyesight can no longer keep up with the speeds of the characters, and learning to perceive through ki sensing becomes necessary.
But right now, Ten's enhanced perception lends him a number of edges over other martial artists that have to rely on eyesight to track their foes. Advantages such as thwarting this particular invisibility technique of Goku's.
Tumblr media
Or piercing the illusion of the Zanzoken/Afterimage speed technique.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As an aside, I love the way both of those moments draw attention to Ten's two normal eyes looking one direction while his third looks the other. It's such an eerie but effective way of conveying the idea that he can see more than a normal man.
Ten and Chiaotzu play by different rules than everyone else.
Tumblr media
Sometimes he has four arms. That's life, man. Again, they make a point of showing us what this looks like as a speed technique:
Tumblr media
Both to set up Goku's counter for this and also so that we understand how meaningful it is that Ten is not doing that. Chapa and later Goku perform Hasshuken, moving their arms so fast it creates the illusion of eight. Ten physically sprouted two extra arms. He can just. Like. Shapeshift, I guess. He's a flying shapeshifter who sees faster than everyone because of his three eyes and he hangs out with a telekinetic doll.
Also he can flashbang his opponents as a clincher.
Tumblr media
This is another move that seems mundane now because everyone stole it from him. They took his Bukujutsu/Levitation and they took his Taiyoken/Solar Flare. But it's another data point on the list of ways Ten's such a weird and complicated opponent to try and fight.
Even by the standards of Tsuru-senryu, he's weird. Taopaipai didn't do half of this shit. Ten specifically refers to the Taiyoken/Solar Flare as a New Tsuru-senryu technique, which implies that he created it himself.
Tumblr media
Which makes me wonder just how much of his moveset is actually part of the Tsuru-senryu curriculum and how much is Ten. Just. Being weird.
Notably, at the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai, Ten shows up with something even more absolutely freakish than the Shiyoken/Four-Armed Fist.
Tumblr media
Shishin no Ken also known in English as the Multiform Technique is another departure from your illusory speed techniques, in that Ten splits his body into four bodies. How does he do that? Fuck you, that's how. This is the evolution of both his enhanced perception and his ability to sprout extra arms - And, in being so, a demonstration of how Goku has left him behind.
It's an admittedly creative solution to the problem that Goku, following his training with Popo, can move too fast for even his three eyes to follow. But now he has twelve eyes.
Tumblr media
TWELVE. That's as many as four Tens! And that's terrible.
The Shishin no Ken was another weird-ass technique from a weird-ass martial artist, serving a practical function in enhancing Ten's unique characteristics to compensate for Goku's now godly abilities.
But it was ultimately undone by a catastrophic vulnerability, which is the reason nobody ever tried this shit again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Splitting into multiple copies of yourself turns you into a team of useless scrubs who can't throw a punch to save your life. It's a bad technique and was written off immediately after this fight, never to be seen again.
...except in anime filler, where everyone stole that from Tenshinhan too.
Tumblr media
You guys were both at the tournament when Goku pointed out that this technique makes you throw punches like slow, limp noodles! Come on, guys! These characters would not even try this shit.
But I digress.
Not to be outdone, Chiaotzu invented a technique where he blows himself up and dies ineffectually.
Tumblr media
Tenshinhan never let him fight another person again for the rest of his life. This cost him fighting privileges. Straight up left him with the non-combatants during the Android arc. You are done, Chiaotzu.
Look, just because their shit is weird doesn't mean it's all good.
Of course, we can't talk about Ten without talking about the Big Gun. His ultimate technique. The thing he's known for better than anything else, especially by people who never watched or read the material prior to Raditz.
Tumblr media
The Kikoho/Tri-Beam is not a Tsuru-senryu technique or a Kame-senryu technique. It's not even a Tenshinhan original. It's a forbidden technique known to both schools but, at least in the Muten-Roshi's opinion, inappropriate to ever pass on. Tenshinhan's going to use it to win at recreational sports.
And people complain about Korra entering the Avatar State to win a race. If Goku broke out the Genki-Dama/Spirit Bomb to punch Krillin out of the ring, Kaio would have his ass for that....
The Kikoho is, so far as we know, the most powerful individual technique in Dragon Ball in terms of the gulf between the wielder's power and the destructive force output by their technique. It punches far above Ten's weight class. Whether that means:
Tumblr media
Managing to fuck up Nappa pretty bad.
Tumblr media
Holding back Semi-Perfect Cell.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Or even dissipating a shot from Super Buutenks, the Kikoho is in a league of power far beyond anything Tenshinhan would be capable of himself. This technique lends Ten the ability to show up and be occasionally useful even after the power scales leave him far behind.
At least, for a short time.
Tumblr media
Sorry, man. You cannot fight at this level. But at least you got that killer shot in.
Tenshinhan and Chiaotzu are wild cards. Not as characters, mind you, but as martial artists. Their greatest strength is their unpredictability. You never know what they're going to pull out of their pocket next, which for a time made Ten in particular into a fun and engaging rival for the ever-analytical Son Goku.

Here we go: Not a plot hole. It was an ancient legend Vegeta had believed to be literal. It was more a metaphor for how rare it had been, not binding. The “Legendary Super Saiyan” is entirely an invention of movies. It’s not an easy task to go Super Saiyan. No one had been quite sure how to go about even doing it, and even Goku and Vegeta hadn’t been able to fully articulate things upon attaining it. There are also varying factors that contribute to how easily one can become a Super Saiyan: S-cells. Goku had a ton of them due to having a less-malicious and cruel nature as well as being nurtured in a calmer, nicer environment like the Earth’s. It’s also why Goten and Trunks can do it so easily, as well as the Saiyans from Universe 6. One also has to be strong enough to even trigger and withstand the transformation. Krillin, Yamcha, and Tien learned to fly the same way everyone else can fly learned to fly; they lift themselves in the air with their ki. (It’s referred to as a technique called bukujutsu). Not everyone can fly because most humans do not possess sufficient ki to do so. Yamcha, Tien, and Krillin are extremely gifted human beings, and the only one other than them so far who’s demonstrated a capability of flight in-series has been Videl, and even then hers strains her more and she’s not half as fast. Gods in this series have an entire hierarchy. You have Gods of planets, then gods of quadrants of the universe, then gods of universes, then a god over all. Kami is on the lowest of those levels, and had a power that was, at the time, wholly sufficient for protecting that planet. When he realized he was insufficient, he tried to pass the title on to Goku, who refused outright.  They’re also not really fighting “gods” that often outside Super; in fact, Super is where the concept of Gods of Destruction and the upper echelons of hierarchy came into play.  Time travel is actually very easy to address: there simply are no rules for it in any kind of “science”. There are multiple theories of how time works; some think it flows like a stream, and going back can forever alter it. Others think there are parallel timelines branching off from major moments in history, where an alternative version of events occurred. DB uses the later. Ergo, killing Cell as an embryo was never meant to kill the Cell they were fighting, but rather prevent him from maturing and possibly being a threat later, especially as Gero’s computer was still monitoring them and may have made THIS Cell even stronger from the start.  Just like these Androids were very different from the ones in Trunks’ timeline, who were weaker but still very evil, to say nothing of the existence of 16, 19, and Gero as 20. Kami is a god, but he is not omnipotent and still bound by rules. The Dragon balls were his creation, and thus required his power and life energy in order to exist. When he rejoined Piccolo, allowing Piccolo to remain dominant, essentially just become part OF Piccolo, the Dragon Balls ceased to exist. This was overcome by going to New Namek and finding a new Kami in Dende, who was actually able to improve the Dragon Balls due to being formally trained in their maintenance and creation on Namek as opposed to Kami, who’d had to work from distant genetic memory. Hope that clears some of it up.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The next time someone tries to tell you Dragon Ball was generic, that the characters were lifeless and flat, that the art was dull, uninspired, that the story can’t keep someone’s interest… just look at these words from some of the most famous/successful artists and writers in the industry. Something so “bad and lifeless” would not inspire to this degree.

Chiaotzu is a master flyer. He uses bukujutsu more than anyone else. The man uses it casually.
Well I suppose Puar is pretty good at it too

Android 17 and 18 Ki
Android 17 and 18 Ki Vitality Clarified: In the present post we will take a gander at a few inconsistencies about regardless of whether Androids can detect ki, and how their vitality works.
In Mythical Dragon Ball Z you realize that Android 17 and 18 or altogether different Android from 16, 19 and 20.
They're all extraordinary sorts of Androids, 17 and 18 are extremely interesting models their genuine names are Lapis and Lazuli.
They were at one time people that were altered Hereditarily Upgraded with innovation.
Tumblr media
they don't assimilate vitality like Android 19 and 22 and they're not a hundred percent engineered like android 16.
I realize that the majority of you folks definitely realize that however we're continually getting new fans and some didn't recollect.
It's something that I need to rapidly go over just to disclose to them.
The inquiry is does Androids have Ki vitality?
Android 17
Would android be able to 17 and 18 sense vitality.? Despite the fact that Android 17 and 18 can extend vitality by adjusting the protons and neutrons around them.
Making a touching off key their inside vitality can't be detected even by the acutest military craftsman.
Shouldn't something be said about detecting vitality.?
Well in the event that we return to Monster Ball. The way that Mr. Popo disclosed kind of how to detect your rival's vitality was that he would kind of utilizing his vitality and anticipated out and check whether you recovered a reaction.
Sort of like a radio signal, kind of the most ideal approach to clarify it. So if 17 and 18 don't have vitality that works a similar way that others have.
How might they detect vitality.?
Well on the off chance that we return to the first manga, there's an exceptionally fascinating scene where amid the showdown amongst Piccolo and cell.
Would android be able to 17 and 18 Sense Ki Vitality
Android 17 and 18 feel a blast and they solicit 16 to kind from elucidate what's happening.
That is the point at which we first discover that 16 has extraordinary sensors that can detect vitality incorporated with his body.
I figure you can state yet at the time he had no idea who Piccolo and Cell were.
Keep in mind Piccolo had recently intertwined with Kami and they did not understand cell's identity.
Keep in mind this is his first appearance and 17. Obviously, prideful expect that it's sum work in light of the fact that there's no power on the planet that Adversaries him.
Definitely, that is Android 17 for you. So that would persuade that 17 and 18 can't detect vitality.
We're not done yet in light of the fact that there's really an inconsistency coming up something else that would sort of make you to some degree approve that they can't Detect ki or if nothing else utilize it a similar way is.
Their capacity to fly in the customary sense. What I mean by customary sense is without utilizing a Jutsu like a component which is the genuine a system used to fly.
It is against really utilizing wings or repulsive force gadgets and it particularly records that have repulsive force gadgets inside the Android bodies.
Which likely implies that if 16, 19 and 20 were in the competition of intensity were the BukuJutsu was impaired.
They could most likely still fly. Same thing with characters that have wings like you know Tambourine and characters that way.
Yet, 17 and18 would at present have the capacity to utilize the utilization of BukuJutsu.
Clearly like I said before in the post, they can control the protons around them and utilize the vitality around them.
Their utilization of vitality is not the same as the customary military craftsmen.
Anyway there are logical inconsistencies, the first comes in the Buu Adventure when Majin Buu was first brought forth.
Android 18 makes a remark about detecting a colossal ki. She said she Sene a tremendous ki. Presently, this isn't in the manga this is Anime as it were.
So that may change things yet that is not all in the Yo Child Goku and his companions return.
Would android be able to 17 and 18 Sense ki Vitality?
What I believe is going ahead here is either this is a plot gap to some extent or perhaps you know contingent upon how you feel about that bounce extraordinary.
Which was composed by Toriyama by the way the first story was composed by him, you may have the capacity to simply discount it as being simply Anime as it were.
You know filler or whatever the case might be. To me, I think a more coherent clarification is the reality that 17 and 18 were initially people.
That was moved up to being metahuman Android/cyborgs whatever and we know in Mythical beast Ball that people can learn ki.
Vadell figures out how to fly, we see Ace Roshi, Yamcha, and Krillin utilizing procedures and fight that every other person can do.
These are the simply customary individual who can do stuff this way.
So it wouldn't sound good to me that is 17 and 18 eventually learned or if nothing else 18 not 17 no less than 18, figure out how to detect ki.
In the more customary sense like perhaps Krillin showed her or possibly at some point amid the multi year time skip between The cell and Buu adventure.
She learned it through preparing to me that really bodes well. It may be the case that 17 never figured out how to do it like 18 did.
That is the thing that sounds good to me, yet it's never ostensibly expressed in the arrangement, so I can't discount it as being certainty if it's not apparently expressed.
Android 17 and 18 Ki

Note
Do you think Tien's numerous weird tricks are all crane school techniques? I don't recall ever getting a defined explanation of the Crane School's philosophy, but learning a large variety of moves would contrast well with the turtle school's emphasis on body conditioning over specialized techniques
One of the things that makes Ten a great martial artist is his flexibility in what he learns. By the time he first arrives at the 22nd Tenkaichi Budokai, his techniques have a variety of sources.
Tumblr media
The flying technique Bukujutsu is clearly identified as the trademark technique of Tsuru-senryu.
Tumblr media
The Dodonpa doesn't get a specific call-out like that, I don't think.

But it doesn't really need one. It's the signature killing technique of Tsuru-sennin's brother. It's clearly a Crane move.
By contrast, the Kikoho/Tri-Beam is not. Tenshinhan's most famous technique is actually an ancient, storied, and forbidden art that both masters are familiar with and neither is supposed to be teaching.

So while he did learn it from Tsuru-sennin, it's not a Tsuru-senryu technique.
Then we have the Taiyoken/Solar Flare. This one's interesting. Ten calls it a Shin Tsuru-senryū technique, or "New Crane School".

There is no elaboration on what this means. But, in my opinion, the implication seems to be that this is a Tenshinhan original. He conceived of this technique for his own art he's developing, which is meant to succeed the original Tsuru-senryu.
Ten is a genius at martial arts. Like Goku, he learns extremely quickly, capable of reproducing the Kamehameha just from seeing it used at the tournament.

Tenshinhan is on-par with Goku in Kamehameha learning speed. Which is why he's able to ravenously devour a bunch of different techniques and even conceive his own.
It's worth noting that the Muten-Roshi's own reactions can be useful in distinguishing which moves come from Tsuru-senryu and which don't. As Tsuru-sennin's rival, he was familiar with both Bukujutsu and the Dodonpa.
Taiyoken, however, took him completely by surprise. He'd never heard of that technique before, because it wasn't one of his rival's. Similarly, he's flabbergasted by this shit.

The Muten-Roshi is as lost as Goku and Krillin at this point. He has no idea what the fuck he's looking at. So that one's probably also a Tenshinhan original.
Of course, everything he creates after leaving Tsuru-senryu such as Shishin no Ken/Multiform or the Shin Kikoho/Neo Tri-Beam is his own.
But there is one technique whose origins stand as the truest of mysteries. The strangest, most esoteric, most inscrutable attack of all.

Tsuru-senryu technique? Tenshinhan's own devising? Or ancient, forbidden art from the darkest depths of oblivion? History may never know the truth.
