Timeline: Bullying Allegations, Rumors, Investigations, and Leaks
Unless cited, all links from the Daily Mail. Apologies, but all links are "active" webpages. There's just too many. I specifically chose the DM because they always TL;DR their articles, which I'm including here so y'all don't have to go click these links.
This is going to be a little bit of a differently-formatted timeline.
These items in bold red are critical rota stories that sort of blew things open, if you will. These ones will have excerpts.
These items in bold purple are Tumblr gossip.
Let's jump in! One quick disclaimer first: This isn't an exhaustive list. this is only what I've been able to dig up today.
10/28/2018: The real Charles revealed: William’s wild mood swings, Harry’s pre-wedding meltdown and how the Prince of Wales finally earned his boys’ respect, as revealed by his biographer ROBERT JOBSON
The weeks leading up to the wedding had been far more tense for both Harry and Meghan than most people realised. In fact, they’d both felt so stressed that they’d booked a series of appointments with Ross Barr, known as ‘the acupuncturist to the stars’. Whether these treatments had much impact on Harry is debatable. In the build-up to the wedding, says an inside source, he was ‘petulant and short-tempered’ with members of staff. Raising his voice on occasion, Harry would insist: ‘What Meghan wants, she gets.’
11/8/2018: ‘Meghan cannot have whatever she wants’: The Queen ‘had words’ with Harry over his ‘difficult’ bride-to-be’s choice of wedding tiara, royal insider claims
Meghan Markle reportedly wanted a tiara with emeralds for her wedding day
But stones may have been Russian so she had to choose another, it was claimed
Prince Harry allegedly 'hit the roof' when told the headpiece was off-limits
Queen 'had words' with Prince Harry about Meghan, a royal insider claims
Source said Her Majesty said: 'She gets what tiara she's given by me'
11/9/2018: MAJ RAPPED MEG The Queen warned Prince Harry over Meghan Markle’s ‘difficult’ behavior after row over bride’s tiara for royal wedding by Dan Wootton of The Sun
11/10/2018: CDAN Blind. This came out a couple of weeks after tumblr (the old TCD blog) got a massive dose of Aussie tea. Scroll down to August 2019 for those stories.
Apparently the diva behavior on a recent trip was nothing compared to the verbally abusive thrashing the employee took on that trip when things were not perfect. The employee threatened to sue because of how bad the abuse was which would have become public. The employee instead was given a check and an apology by the in-laws of the former actress turned abuser.
11/15/2018: Duke and Duchess of Cambridge join youngsters on The One Show sofa to speak about new anti-bullying app (with Kate in another recycled dress by Emilia Wickstead). This event was the day after Charles’s 70th birthday bash at BP, to which Meghan wore the blood earrings again and the gossip leaked that the Sussexes left early.
11/15/2018: Prince William accuses Facebook of putting ‘profits before values’ as he slams social media giants for being ‘on the back foot’ in fight against fake news, privacy and cyber bullying
11/17/2018: Prince Harry and Meghan Markle change plans to move into Kensington Palace apartment as resident Royal ‘doesn’t want to leave’ by The Sun. This was the first time that rumors of a rift between the Cambridges and the Sussexes over behavior/attitude were published by the printed press.
Kensington Palace isn’t short of luxury accommodation, with Prince William and Kate Middleton living in a lavish 20-room apartment in the grounds. And it is also the residence of The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke and Duchess of Kent and Prince and Princess Michael of Kent. The Queen’s cousin, The Duke of Gloucester, 74, and his wife Birgitte, 72, live next door to The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge in their grand 21-room apartment. Prince Harry is said to have been eyeing up the property as the perfect place to raise a family. But a source claims Danish-born Brigitte is refusing to move. The Mail quoted a friend of Duchess of Gloucester saying: “Birgitte doesn’t want to leave. “And why should she? She and her husband are still full-time working members of The Firm and they were given their apartment by Her Majesty.”
Many blogs read the bolded section above as Harry and Meghan were pushing the Gloucesters hard to move out of KP #1. Not necessarily bullying them, but...not being nice about it either.
11/25/2018: MEGGING A MOVE Prince Harry told staff ‘What Meghan wants, Meghan gets’ as it’s claimed couple are moving away from Wills and Kate to flee ‘goldfish bowl’ Royal life by The Sun
11/26/2018: Is Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton’s rift causing tension between Harry and William and behind Windsor move?
11/28/2018: Meghan Markle ‘left Kate Middleton in tears’ over her strict demands for Princess Charlotte’s bridesmaid’s dress by Jack Royston, The Sun.
This is one of the earliest "admissions" that Meghan sends the staff emails out of business hours.
Rumours of a rift between the duchesses swirled after royal sources revealed emotional Kate, 36, ended up weeping. An insider claimed the incident followed a “stressful” dress fitting — just weeks before Meghan, 37, married Prince Harry. Royal aides did not deny the incident had taken place, amid claims that the duchesses are “very different people”. Princess Charlotte, three, had been trying on her outfit just weeks before Meghan’s wedding to Prince Harry. Meghan, 37, is understood to have insisted on “the very best” for her big day — but the fitting did not go according to her demands. Royal sources said the pressure of the “stressful” fitting became too much for her now sister-in-law, and that Duchess of Cambridge Kate was left shaken and in tears. An insider told the Daily Telegraph: “Kate had only just given birth to her third child, Prince Louis, and was feeling quite emotional.” The reported incident sparked rumours of a rift between Kate and the Duchess of Sussex. The duchesses are understood to have put the incident behind them.
and
Concerns have surfaced that American actress Meghan has at times struggled to fit into royal circles. Sources claimed she regularly “bombarded” staff with early morning calls and emails.
12/11/2018: How royal staff are calling Meghan Duchess Difficult as 2nd aide exits by The Daily Express. This is the first recording of "Duchess Difficult" in the printed press and the first hints that Harry may have confronted William about Meghan's red carpet welcome into the BRF.
The Duchess let slip recently that she's not sleeping well and has resorted to 4.30am yoga sessions to help her relax. However, her early starts, also said to involve firing off emails, aren't to everyone's taste and Meghan will soon have to find an aide more in tune with her lifestyle.
and
Kate was reported to have become upset by the manner in which Meghan speaks to staff and although this has been denied by Kensington Palace it has not stopped the chatter that all is not harmonious.
and
According to one insider, Harry, who is notoriously protective when it comes to his new wife and is desperate for her to enjoy her official duties, is said to be unimpressed with the welcome William has given Meghan. He feels his older brother could have done more, including ensuring that Kate took the American under her wing. Harry, 34, is said to be mindful of how isolated and miserable his mother, Diana, became. In a TV appearance in February, involving the so-called Fab Four of William, Harry, Kate and Meghan, there was an awkward moment when the group was asked about whether they had disagreements. “Oh yes," said William, while Harry tried to make light of the issue by joking that they came "thick and fast". But the insider says: "Harry won't take any criticism of Meghan and he is so sensitive that he often sees criticism or negativity when there isn't any."
12/18/2018: Meghan’s supposedly banned Harry from a traditional shoot, staff are leaving, and it’s claimed courtiers were aghast when this starry picture was (briefly) online. Now, RICHARD KAY asks…Duchess Difficult - or just defiantly different?

Those friends who spoke out said they are concerned about how the 'emotional trauma' of dealing with her father might be affecting Meghan's unborn baby

4/12/2019: The Meghan Markle ‘Duchess Difficult’ Rumors Just Won’t Stop - and This One is Bizarre by Glamour Magazine. I'm including this one because it cites a few Sun articles that are no longer accessible.
According to The Sun, staff members at Frogmore Cottage, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's new home, have been "banned" from using the parking lot closest to the residence and instead must use the one a mile away. The sources who spoke to The Sun seem to confirm a change in parking permits is happening, but here's the kicker: It was reportedly the superintendent of the castle's decision, not Markle's. And yet all the tabloids reporting this story are making it seem as though Markle woke up and randomly decreed, "You know what would be fun? Forcing all the staff members to walk a mile to work each day." The headline in one article starts with "Not in Meg Back Yard," which is apparently the acronym insiders are using to describe this change. That makes it sound like Markle is the one behind the choice.

The Times reported a spokesman for the Sussexes vehemently denying the claims, saying they were 'the victims of a calculated smear campaign based on misleading and harmful misinformation'
A bullying complaint was lodged against the Duchess of Sussex by a senior member of Kensington Palace staff before she and Prince Harry quit as working royals

3/3/2021: Revenge of the Sussex survivors’ club: The extraordinary inside story of how a fairytale turned into a nightmare of ‘traumatised’ staff - by Royal Editor REBECCA ENGLISH, who saw so much of it herself
Members of 'Sussex Survivors' Club' worked for couple and lived to tell the tale
Include US spin doctor Jason Knauf & Aussie private secretary Samantha Cohen
Some even believe they may have form of post-traumatic stress from experience
But I have personally witnessed more than one member of staff driven to tears by the treatment they were subjected to by the duke and duchess before the couple acrimoniously quit as working royals. One person sobbed down the phone to me after a particularly harrowing day. They clearly felt emotionally broken and could no longer cope with the pressure they were being subjected to. Others have indicated to me they were being asked to behave in a manner they did not feel professionally comfortable with, particularly in their dealings with the media. Several aides have also told me that Meghan in particular was very good at 'drawing' staff into her confidence, flattering them as if they were the only person in the world she could trust and asking them to help her with various duties.
and
Toxic, hostile, distrustful, poisonous: all words I have heard regularly used over the past few years to describe people's experiences working in the Sussexes' household.
and
But I have since been told that this popular aide was deeply unhappy about her experience working for the duchess and had been 'desperate' to get out as long as she could professionally put a brave face on it. Likewise a third member of staff. Mr Knauf makes clear in his email, as reported by The Times, that he was also concerned about the couple's hugely experienced deputy private secretary, Samantha Cohen. She had worked for the Queen for more than 20 years and was personally persuaded by the monarch to stay on and help the couple navigate their first few years of royal life. He indicated that she was experiencing extreme stress and said: 'I questioned if the Household policy on bullying and harassment applies to principals [the term used to refer to a member of the royal family].' One source tells me wryly, with an eye to Meghan's much-hyped championing of female empowerment: 'Note that everyone concerned was a woman.' Another adds: 'Sam always made clear that it was like working for a couple of teenagers. They were impossible and pushed her to the limit. She was miserable.'
and
The Times also makes reference to an incident during the couple's tour to Australia, New Zealand, Fiji and Tonga in 2018, which was a particularly difficult one for all concerned, Meghan included. She was, of course, pregnant at the time. The newspaper reports how Meghan cut short a visit to a market in Fiji because she was concerned about the presence of a UN organisation promoting women, with which she had worked before and made clear she no longer wished to have anything to do with. At the time officials had suggested that it was because it was humid and the crowd was oppressive in the market. I was there at the time and witnessed Meghan turn and 'hiss' at a member of her entourage, clearly incandescent with rage about something, and demand to leave. I later saw that same – female – highly distressed member of staff sitting in an official car, with tears running down her face. Our eyes met and she lowered hers, humiliation etched on her features. At the time I was unable to document anything as I couldn't conclusively link the two incidents together, despite my suspicions. I have subsequently found out from other sources that my instincts were right.

8/15/2024: RICHARD EDEN: The real reason Harry and Meghan have just lost their 18th staff member…according to my source
My first inkling that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex may have trouble holding onto staff came back in 2018 when I received a tip that Meghan’s personal assistant, Melissa Toubati, had quit suddenly, just six months after the American actress had married into the Royal Family. ‘It’s a real shock,’ a source told me at the time. ‘Why would she want to leave such a prestigious job so soon? Officials usually decline to discuss staffing matters, so it took me aback when a senior Palace source chose to pay tribute to her publicly. ‘Melissa is a hugely talented person,’ the source said. ‘She played a pivotal role in the success of the royal wedding and will be missed by everyone in the Royal Household.’ For someone to go out of their way to pay such fulsome tribute suggested Melissa’s colleagues were not happy with her departure. The fact she left so soon raised questions over the reasons for her exit.
8/26/2024 - Kensington Palace insider brutal first reaction to Meghan Markle amid bullying claims, by The Mirror.
Allegations of bullying were behind Prince William's decision to split his household from Prince Harry's in 2019, according to a royal expert. William was made aware of claims that Meghan Markle had 'bullied' palace members of staff, which both the Duchess of Sussex and her husband Prince Harry have always denied. After an unsuccessful phone call to discuss matters with his brother, William decided to 'throw Harry out', Robert Lacey revealed in his book, Battle of the Brothers. Lacey further quotes a Kensington Palace courtier as saying: "Meghan portrayed herself as the victim, but she was the bully. People felt run over by her. They thought she was a complete narcissist and sociopath — basically unhinged."

◀ previous day
I finished the last lesson of this section so tomorrow I will trying to complete the ‘Product Landing Page’ project which I am very excited for! I still haven’t thought of an idea of what product to advertise. I’ll research tonight about it!
During the last set of lessons on the  ‘Learn CSS Grid by Building a Magazine’ section, it talked about the grid method of making webpages responsive! Something I already learnt about however I didn’t know there was a ‘place-items’ property which is just a combination of ‘justify-content’ and ‘align-items’ merged into one! Super helpful from now on, especially when both of the properties have the same value 🤗🙌🏾
Tumblr media
💻 What I did today towards the challenge 🎨
☆ I finished the ‘Learn CSS Grid by Building a Magazine’ section
☆ Learnt about the grid method, the repeat() function in CSS values and the place-items property

Have a nice day/night and happy coding 🤎 check out my freecodecamp profile 🙌🏾

Goad Plans of Cork City!
Tumblr media
The dedicated Cork City Libraries Local History website, Cork Past and Present, has recently had an interesting addition made in the shape of Insurance plans for the commercial heart of the City. The wide selection of maps details the changing landscape and businesses that filled the city centre from 1897 to 1961!
Cork City Libraries hold copies of seventeen editions of the Goad plans for Cork City, from 1897 to 1961. These are held in five bindings in our Local Studies and Learning Department. The ‘key plan’ on the first sheet of each edition provides a graphic outline of areas represented in more detail on maps 2-16 of each edition. Under the key plan (in PDF form in these webpages), a selective index of streets, buildings, and firms is included. The scale of the detailed plans is one inch to forty feet (1:480) on the original paper copies. Fire insurance plans were first drawn up in the late eighteenth century to provide risk information to fire insurance underwriters.
Tumblr media
Charles Edward Goad, born in Surrey in 1848, moved to Canada in 1869, where he became a renowned cartographer and railway engineer. The firm of Charles E. Goad was established in Montreal in 1875 and became the leading producer of fire insurance plans for 1,300 places in Canada, before he returned to Britain in 1885 to produce insurance plans for the commercial sections of more than 100 towns in Britain and Ireland, along with surveying places in other countries.
Fire insurance companies had an interest in preventing fires to insured properties, and firefighters (often private) needed detailed information regarding access to water, routes to building, room arrangements, locations of doors & windows, thickness of walls, information on construction materials, type of roof, locations of combustible materials, water-works system, etc. Charles Goad died in Toronto in 1910. Goad insurance plans now provide an excellent information source for historians, geographers, architects, environmentalists and genealogists.

Freelancing web dev/designer here! I wanna add some tools and more resources to this list for everyone. Hopefully this is more exciting than it is intimidating. Webpage creation can be fun and useful - especially for those looking to build their own online portfolios as social media gets worse and worse for indies/small businesses fighting the constantly changing climate of algorithms and other corporate junk.
More casually, go and make that fan page you’ve always wanted. Start somewhere - anywhere! My first websites back in 2007 - 2010 were for virtual pet site fan pages, an American Dragon: Jake Long page begging for a season 3, my own made up adoptable pets, and a free virtual pet site of my own that used a cool tool that existed back then.
Modern design is actually cleaner to work with, more accessible, and you can still be as creative as you want despite what professional websites adhere to for their marketing standards. Lots has changed and improved since I first started...
Educational Resources
MDN Web Docs | Similar to W3Schools, might be a preferred format for some to learn from as an option. Full of interactive examples and detailed explanations!
CSS Tricks Guides | Visual articles with organized categories for each property and value involved! I always reference their Flexbox guide since flexbox stuff gets confusing to write by pure memory each time.
Kevin Powell’s YouTube | A chill channel I’m a fan of that web devs can appreciate at any level of experience! He’s got shorts for fast solutions, full troubleshooting guides, reviews for annual developer surveys, and advocates for more diversity in the web development scene that isn’t white guys such as himself. Super welcoming, friendly, and won’t talk down to you for trying to learn. The link is his playlist category that’s good for beginners out there, for your convenience.
CodePen | A massive gallery of code snippets that other developers have created and shared for free viewing/tinkering. You can find insane CSS-made art and animations on here, JavaScript samples, and more!
Accessibility Guide | Making your website accessible is an important step in designing a page for anyone to see. Many types of disabled people surf the internet with accessibility devices such as screen readers. Those with more limited internet (speed, bandwidth, etc.) can also benefit from these standards.
Epilepsy Guide | A specific form of accessibility that’s important to consider as well. If you have moving, flashing, and otherwise visually stimulating content, look through this for solutions to make your pages safer to look at.
Meta Tag Guide | A beginner-friendly guide with examples of how HTML meta tags affect the way your public site and its pages will show up in search results.
SEO Guide | SEO is an abbreviation of Search Engine Optimization. This is good to learn if you’re a serious designer who needs your page to show in search results. Important for those of you out there making business and/or portfolio pages. 100% use your username, business name, and other unique (but not private) identifying factors as keywords that will connect your page to being found along with your social profiles.
[Fun Fact: SEO is the reason behind food blogs sharing their whole anime backstory before the actual recipe... Hurrah]
Browser Extension Tools
ColorZilla | FireFox & Chrome | Select colors from webpages, analyze CSS colors on pages, generate gradient values for CSS, and save palettes. Provides hex and rgba color values too!
RGBlind | Firefox & Chrome | Simulate some types of color blindness on your website for accessibility purposes.
Colorblindly | Chrome Only | Simulate a wider range of color blindness types, but unfortunately not available on other browsers from what I’ve found.
Page Marker | Chrome Only | Write/draw anything you need for brainstorming your page’s development, right on top of it! The marker strokes stick to that point of the page and moves with it when you scroll.
Eye Dropper | Chrome Only | For selecting and picking colors off of web pages. Gives you the hex and rgba values on the spot!
Grayscale View | Chrome Only | Good for previewing shade values and contrast on your website for accessibility and readability purposes.
Other Tools
Visual Studio Code | Open Source program provided by Microsoft of all things! This comes with many built-in tools and functions to make HTML, CSS, JS, and other compatible languages be more convenient to work with. More cozy to work with than the manual tedium of organizing things within bare text editors. Color coded words, auto-stacking, arrows that help you be sure you have things closed up properly, and more! Definitely look through its extensions shop for anything you think would help you in the ways you need for development.
openElement | Create web pages without coding. Can be good for planning how your website is laid out, or to make something without the knowledge required! I haven’t used it myself, but it looks promising.
Accessibility Checklist | A superbly handy way to track your website’s depth and level of accessibility. The + buttons give descriptions/suggestions for each item on the list to make improvements for your website.
Photo-sensitivity Analysis Tool | A free program that analyses content on your pages for any risks of epilepsy and other photo-sensitive complications among viewers. Important for accessibility!
That’s about all I can put together at this time. Be free! Go wild! The internet is still ours to build in - not just big corps, scammers, or bots.
⬇ make a webpage right now its free ⬇
neocities.org 👈 for website hosting
internetingishard.com 👈 for coding tutorial
w3schools.com 👈 for a searchable index of every html and css term under the sun and live examples of how each one works
sadgrl.online 👈 for a layout builder, if you dont want to do everything from scratch

Solutions for web designers out there
( All animations and movement on a page should be considered for photo-sensitivity including motion sickness and vertigo. )
For animated .GIF image files:
Create a .JPG or .PNG still image version of the animations from their most important or appealing frame. That should be loaded into the HTML first instead of the .GIF.
And before we go into the optimal JavaScript interaction, let’s stick with the HTML a little more...
If you have images that are not already hyperlinked, you can instead make them link to their animated GIF version to open in a new tab (target=“_blank”). Be sure to have appropriate warnings about those links leading to the animated version of that image, right before/above the image itself for those who may be going through the page in order with some accessibility devices. (Thus, they read the warning before they interact with the link.)
Then, from there, we do the script side for this. You can store the different image file paths into your JavaScript and use mouseover/mouseout events to change the file path inside your src=“” attribute. (Here’s how you can dynamically and efficiently do this for many images and give them their own Event Listener: My JSFiddle Example.)
EDIT: I've updated the example to have a 1-second delay for the images to change into animations in case someone accidentally has their mouse over the image after the page loads in. It'll be best to also make hover/active animations optional, which will tie into the JavaScript needed to achieve the hover/active functions to begin with.
Also added a few more in-code comments for extra instruction and clarity.
Tumblr media
Another idea with JavaScript is to have a “toggle” sort of <button> on your page that someone can click/confirm whether or not everything on a page should animate/move or not. If you’re nicely familiar with JavaScript, you can make a more in-depth options menu for this sort of thing too!
Tumblr media
This is also a great solution since there are web users who look at webpages either in a simplified view or blocking all scripts (like JavaScript) from your website. They could be viewing your website like this due to personal needs, or technological limitations. And so, having a still image in your HTML by default is MUCH preferred!
For CSS @ keyframe animations:
In the raw CSS file, the default value for the animation-play-state property should be paused. We have to keep simplified view users and script-blocking users in mind for moving objects and images on our webpages. So, whatever is loaded in by default must maintain this priority.
Thankfully, sticking with the CSS, we can just as easily changed the animation-play-state to running when the element is hovered (for mouse users) or active (for touch-screen users).
For sprite sheet animations:
If you’ve figured out how to make sprite animations on a web doc, then you’re already involved in the JavaScript for it and familiar with the code. Or, you're doing it the pure CSS way (see here). In which you can refer back to the @ keyframe section above.
So, here’s a general guideline that you can follow in JavaScript!
The sprite sheet element in your CSS should focus on your most important frame that you want to be seen by users on the default page appearance. Set its background-position to that frame inside the CSS.
For users who can load JavaScript on the page, set that element to toggle its animation by mouseover/mouseout or clicking.
For users who cannot load the JavaScript, the next best thing is to build the sprite animation from CSS keyframe steps().
And for most absolute safe case scenario in case of browser or device compatibility issues with any of these properties in the CSS, you could make an animated .GIF file of your sprite sheet. Make sure it's under 1Mb for users in this category who are also likely to be viewing your page from slow download speeds. With that, refer back to the section for handling image files without JavaScript.
Hopefully this is of great help, if not a starting point for accessibility ideas and considerations for your websites!
pleeeeeeeease indie web and scenecore and whatever other subcultures.... have fun and be cringe but PLEASE be careful with your blinkies. if your website has flashing lights that are on by default or that can't be turned off, then it is inaccessible to photosensitive people. if your post has flashing lights, it needs to be tagged. PLEASE. i love indie web stuff but the prevalence of unavoidable flashing lights makes me really anxious!! people have migraines and seizures! please use tags like "flashing lights" and "eye strain," NOT "epilepsy" or "epilepsy warning," and please consider making your site accessible by removing flashing lights or making them avoidable. PLEASE. make the web usable for photosensitive people.

SEO Services in Manchester: Your Path to Digital Success
Tumblr media
In today’s online-first world, visibility is everything. For businesses in Manchester, the need to stand out in a highly competitive digital market has become more critical than ever. This is where quality SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) services come into play. An effective SEO strategy goes beyond improving rankings; it strengthens brand presence, builds authority, and turns visitors into loyal customers. When businesses partner with a company that offers expert SEO Services in Manchester, they gain a robust foundation for achieving long-term digital growth.
What Sets SEO Services in Manchester Apart?
Manchester is a thriving hub of commerce, creativity, and innovation. Companies across diverse sectors — from retail to tech, from hospitality to finance — call this city home. SEO Services in Manchester are designed to address the unique challenges and opportunities of this diverse business landscape. Local SEO agencies understand the intricacies of the market here and craft strategies that speak directly to Manchester audiences, making local SEO providers indispensable for companies seeking success within the region.
The following are the core services offered by a Manchester-based SEO company, each one crucial for building an impactful online presence and growing a business sustainably.
1. Local SEO: Building Your Presence in Manchester and Beyond
For many businesses, the journey to higher search rankings begins with local SEO. Local SEO focuses on targeting potential customers within a specific geographical area — in this case, Manchester. A skilled SEO provider will work to improve your business's visibility in local search results by optimising your Google My Business profile, encouraging customer reviews, and ensuring your business appears in relevant local directories.
What makes local SEO unique in Manchester is the city’s diverse and vibrant population. A targeted strategy will ensure your business appears not just on a map but in the hearts and minds of the local community. By optimising for location-based keywords, creating location-specific content, and developing backlinks from reputable local sources, an SEO company can put your business at the top of Manchester’s search results.
2. Keyword Research: The Foundation of All SEO Efforts
Keyword research may sound like a fundamental aspect of SEO, but it requires considerable expertise to execute effectively. When done right, it’s the process that reveals the exact words and phrases potential customers are searching for. SEO Services in Manchester will go beyond just finding high-traffic keywords; they will dive into long-tail keywords, user intent, and competitor analysis to create a well-rounded list tailored for your business.
A Manchester-based SEO team understands local lingo, seasonal trends, and popular search patterns unique to the region, allowing for a more targeted approach. Whether it’s ranking for “best coffee shops in Manchester” or “Manchester property market updates,” a strong keyword strategy positions your business exactly where it needs to be.
3. On-Page SEO: Perfecting Every Page of Your Website
On-page SEO is all about optimising the individual elements of each webpage to improve search engine visibility. This includes optimising titles, meta descriptions, headers, and images, as well as enhancing overall content quality. But on-page SEO doesn’t stop with just the basics. An experienced SEO company will focus on creating high-quality, user-focused content that answers questions, provides valuable information, and encourages engagement.
In Manchester’s competitive market, a company offering SEO Services will look to optimise every aspect of on-page SEO to ensure that each page resonates with both search engines and human visitors. They’ll work with your team to ensure that every piece of content is structured, formatted, and polished to perfection, creating a seamless experience for anyone visiting your site.
4. Technical SEO: Enhancing the Backbone of Your Website
A well-designed website is essential, but if it isn’t technically sound, it will struggle to achieve strong rankings. Technical SEO involves optimising the backend of your website to ensure fast load times, mobile-friendliness, secure browsing (HTTPS), and proper indexing by search engines. SEO Services in Manchester will often include a full technical audit of your website, identifying any underlying issues that could prevent it from reaching its full potential.
Technical SEO can be particularly challenging but is fundamental for establishing a solid online foundation. By improving your site’s architecture, enhancing crawlability, and ensuring pages are error-free, a technical SEO specialist ensures that nothing holds back your website’s performance. From optimising images to creating a streamlined URL structure, technical SEO lays the groundwork for a smooth, user-friendly experience.
5. Content Creation and Optimisation: Building Authority with Every Word
Content is at the heart of every SEO strategy. For businesses in Manchester, high-quality content is essential for attracting and retaining a loyal audience. SEO Services in Manchester encompass content creation and optimisation, which involves researching, crafting, and refining content to ensure it resonates with both search engines and users.
From blog posts and articles to product descriptions and landing pages, content optimisation involves a blend of keyword integration, readability enhancements, and visual elements. However, the focus is not solely on search engines; it’s about creating content that offers genuine value to readers. This could be in the form of informative articles, thought leadership pieces, or practical guides that establish your business as a trusted voice within your industry.
6. Link Building: Earning Trust and Authority
Search engines consider links from other reputable websites as votes of confidence. Link building is a crucial part of any SEO strategy, as it helps establish your site’s authority and credibility. SEO Services in Manchester will often include a link-building campaign that focuses on earning high-quality, relevant backlinks from trusted sources.
Effective link-building involves more than just acquiring as many links as possible. A Manchester-based SEO team will focus on acquiring links that matter — from websites that are reputable and relevant to your industry. This might involve reaching out to local publications, contributing guest articles, or collaborating with industry influencers. By building these valuable connections, your business can improve its rankings and increase its trustworthiness in the eyes of both search engines and users.
7. Social Media Integration: Expanding Your Reach
In today’s connected world, social media is an essential tool for reaching a wider audience. While not a direct ranking factor, social media can significantly impact your SEO efforts by driving traffic, encouraging sharing, and increasing brand visibility. SEO Services in Manchester will often integrate social media strategies with SEO efforts to help your content reach a larger audience and encourage natural link-building.
Whether it’s promoting a blog post, sharing an informative video, or engaging with followers, social media allows businesses to connect with users on a more personal level. When used strategically, social media becomes a powerful tool for amplifying SEO efforts and generating traffic from platforms like Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn.
8. Analytics and Reporting: Tracking Your Progress
The success of an SEO campaign depends on data. Analytics and reporting allow you to track your SEO performance, identify areas for improvement, and adjust your strategy accordingly. SEO Services in Manchester will provide detailed reports that show how your website is performing over time, allowing you to see tangible results from your investment.
By monitoring key metrics like organic traffic, keyword rankings, conversion rates, and bounce rates, an SEO team can make informed adjustments to ensure ongoing success. The best SEO providers don’t just provide a snapshot of performance; they offer insights and guidance, helping you understand how each part of your strategy contributes to the bigger picture.
Choosing the Right SEO Services in Manchester for Your Business
Not all SEO providers are created equal and choosing the right one can make a significant difference in the success of your digital efforts. Look for an SEO company in Manchester that not only understands SEO but is genuinely passionate about helping businesses succeed. A good provider will take the time to understand your business, its goals, and its challenges, creating a tailored approach that aligns with your specific needs.
When you choose SEO Services in Manchester that align with your goals, you’re not just investing in SEO; you’re investing in a partnership that drives growth, builds brand trust, and ultimately delivers results. The journey to the top of the search results is a marathon, not a sprint. But with the right team on your side, it’s a journey that will be as rewarding as the destination.
Why Invest in SEO Services in Manchester?
For businesses in Manchester, investing in SEO isn’t just a strategy — it’s a necessity. With the right SEO partner, you’ll gain a competitive edge that allows you to thrive in a bustling market, reaching new customers and strengthening your brand along the way. The latest Chrome release brings, several new features and bug fixes to enhance the browsing experience.
The Chrome 128 release brings several key features and improvements aimed at enhancing both security and usability. A notable addition is Isolated Web Apps, which strengthen protection against tampering and web server compromises, though this feature is currently limited to enterprise-managed ChromeOS devices. This builds on previous work with Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) and Web Packaging, offering a more secure browsing experience.
Another significant update is the standardization of the CSS zoom property. Previously, this property was non-standard, leading to inconsistent behaviour across different browsers. Chrome 128 now fully supports it, making it easier for developers to control the scaling of elements on a webpage. This update is part of Chrome’s broader effort to align with modern web standards.
The release also introduces enhancements to the Attribution Reporting API, which aids in measuring online ad effectiveness while respecting user privacy. Additionally, support for the ruby-align property and line-breakable Ruby annotations improve the presentation of East Asian typography on the web, making it easier to create accessible and visually appealing content.
For developers, Chrome 128 adds features like Promise.try, which simplifies asynchronous operations in JavaScript, and WebAuthn hints, which enhance the user experience during authentication. Additionally, support for WebGPU HDR has been introduced under a developer trial flag, enabling richer graphics for web applications.
Security remains a priority, with Chrome 128 addressing several vulnerabilities by fixing seven high-priority Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs). These updates highlight Chrome’s commitment to maintaining a secure browsing environment.

The Essence of Front-End Development
Front-end development refers to the creation of the part of a website or application that users interact with directly. It involves the implementation of designs and ensuring that the user interface is not only visually appealing but also functional and intuitive. This discipline requires proficiency in languages such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, which form the cornerstone of web development.
HTML: Building the Foundation
HTML (HyperText Markup Language) serves as the backbone of any web page. It provides the structure and content, defining the various elements that make up a webpage, from headings and paragraphs to images and forms. Understanding HTML is fundamental for anyone looking to create and manipulate content on the web, making it an essential skill for front-end developers.
CSS: Styling and Design
While HTML structures the content, CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) brings it to life through design and presentation. CSS allows developers to control the layout, colors, fonts, and overall aesthetic appeal of a website. Mastery of CSS involves understanding selectors, properties, and responsive design principles to ensure that web pages look polished across different devices and screen sizes.
JavaScript: Adding Interactivity
JavaScript is the programming language of the web. It enables dynamic behavior on web pages, such as interactive forms, animated graphics, and responsive interfaces. JavaScript frameworks and libraries like React, Angular, and Vue.js have revolutionized front-end development by providing efficient tools for building complex web applications with ease.

Real Estate Web Scraping | Scrape Data From Real Estate Website
In the digital age, data is king, and nowhere is this more evident than in the real estate industry. With vast amounts of information available online, web scraping has emerged as a powerful tool for extracting valuable data from real estate websites. Whether you're an investor looking to gain insights into market trends, a real estate agent seeking to expand your property listings, or a developer building a property analysis tool, web scraping can provide you with the data you need. In this blog, we'll explore the fundamentals of web scraping in real estate, its benefits, and how to get started.
What is Web Scraping? Web scraping is the automated process of extracting data from websites. It involves using software to navigate web pages and collect specific pieces of information. This data can include anything from property prices and descriptions to images and location details. The scraped data can then be analyzed or used to populate databases, allowing for a comprehensive view of the real estate landscape.
Benefits of Web Scraping in Real Estate Market Analysis: Web scraping allows investors and analysts to gather up-to-date data on property prices, rental rates, and market trends. By collecting and analyzing this information, you can make informed decisions about where to buy, sell, or invest.
Competitive Intelligence: Real estate agents and brokers can use web scraping to monitor competitors' listings. This helps in understanding the competitive landscape and adjusting marketing strategies accordingly.
Property Aggregation: For websites and apps that aggregate property listings, web scraping is essential. It enables them to pull data from multiple sources and provide users with a wide selection of properties to choose from.
Automated Updates: Web scraping can be used to keep databases and listings up-to-date automatically. This is particularly useful for platforms that need to provide users with the latest information on available properties.
Detailed Insights: By scraping detailed property information such as square footage, amenities, and neighborhood details, developers and analysts can provide more nuanced insights and improve their decision-making processes.
Getting Started with Real Estate Web Scraping Step 1: Identify the Target Website Start by choosing the real estate websites you want to scrape. Popular choices include Zillow, Realtor.com, and Redfin. Each website has its own structure, so understanding how data is presented is crucial. Look for listings pages, property details pages, and any relevant metadata.
Step 2: Understand the Legal and Ethical Considerations Before diving into web scraping, it's important to understand the legal and ethical implications. Many websites have terms of service that prohibit scraping, and violating these can lead to legal consequences. Always check the website’s robots.txt file, which provides guidance on what is permissible. Consider using APIs provided by the websites as an alternative when available.
Step 3: Choose Your Tools Web scraping can be performed using various tools and programming languages. Popular choices include:
BeautifulSoup: A Python library for parsing HTML and XML documents. It’s great for beginners due to its ease of use. Scrapy: An open-source Python framework specifically for web scraping. It's powerful and suitable for more complex scraping tasks. Selenium: A tool for automating web browsers. It’s useful when you need to scrape dynamic content that requires interaction with the webpage. Step 4: Develop Your Scraping Script Once you have your tools ready, the next step is to write a script that will perform the scraping. Here’s a basic outline of what this script might do:
Send a Request: Use a tool like requests in Python to send an HTTP request to the target website and retrieve the page content. Parse the HTML: Use BeautifulSoup or another parser to extract specific data from the HTML. This might include property prices, addresses, descriptions, and images. Store the Data: Save the extracted data in a structured format such as CSV or a database for further analysis. Step 5: Handle Dynamic Content and Pagination Many modern websites load content dynamically using JavaScript, or they may paginate their listings across multiple pages. This requires handling JavaScript-rendered content and iterating through multiple pages to collect all relevant data.
For Dynamic Content: Use Selenium or a headless browser like Puppeteer to render the page and extract the dynamic content. For Pagination: Identify the pattern in the URL for paginated pages or look for pagination controls within the HTML. Write a loop in your script to navigate through all pages and scrape the data. Step 6: Clean and Analyze the Data After collecting the data, it’s essential to clean and normalize it. Remove duplicates, handle missing values, and ensure consistency in the data format. Tools like pandas in Python can be incredibly helpful for this step. Once the data is clean, you can begin analyzing it to uncover trends, insights, and opportunities.
