Idk who needs to hear this but time and time again isn't over!!!

Webtoon removed the "time and time again will return!!!" Banner and I don't know why, but it's not over!!! There's still another 1/3 of the comic to go! There's a lot more stuff that I'm working on and it'll be coming back soon!

Please be patient with me, I know it's been a long time... But the stuff I'm making is really good and there's a lot of reasons it's taken this long. I promise I want it back more than anyone.

I'm trying to come back around the end of October. I'm doing my best to get everything ready in time, so no promises, but I'm on track to do so! I'm just one person writing and drawing everything, and my editor was fired so I'm not even getting any notes anymore. It's literally just me. I'm doing my best I promise!

Here's the thing about episode 11.

I hate that they finally brought other actual established Pabu characters in only to immediately put them in danger.

Whether or not we stick the season landing, I will be salty until the end of time about the complete halting of momentum brought on by eps 8-9.

I would have killed to see Omega and Crosshair's first meeting with the cadets and some of their relationship. More brothers? Regs?? Other Hemlock victims???

Some actual convo between Hunter and Shep (absolute e11 VIP) about their presence possibly endangering Pabu?

Omega meeting Lyana after so long apart and grappling with being older and losing her childhood and building up to the Lula in the Archium moment?

Seeing Crosshair's attempt to find some inner peace translate into his first cautious steps into embracing a community beyond just 'carried crates onto boat'?

Finally finished sweet tooth s3. Having incredibly mixed feelings

#love the show. love it a lot. about to be a bitch in the tags anyways #it was. so so messy. they needed another season so bad. the alaska trip took up so much of the comics #and that was with the previously established cast #in the show they introduced a million new characters. gave us no time to get to know them before they were thrown head first into the plot #and condensed an arc that was almost half of the comics into the span of like 5 episodes #my boy singh. oh how they massacred by boy #i mean. okay. in the context of the show the arc wasn't horrible for him.#but i think his survival in the comic and his dedication of his life to making up for the mistakes of his past by helping people and hybrids #would've been so much more powerful than his random self sacrifice at the end of the show.#bc honestly it just seems like another impulsive act in his moral flip flop he'd been having for the last few episodes #rather than active choice to be better #and honestly i wanted to see his delusional paranoid religious breakdown from the comics put to screen so bad #it would've been great #i do like that he turned against zhang the second she started trying to talk about rani. that shit slapped #the several fake outs about Jepp's death were so stupid and unnecessary and repetitive #why are you baiting everyone. you're going to piss off the hardcore comic fans waiting for his death and confuse the show fans #either commit to killing him or stop pretending like you're brave enough to do it #why did they flip back so hard into the mystical vaguely eco fascist backstory and outcome of the comic #after spending two seasons trying to build a more scientific and less 'humanity must end' story for two seasons straight #they tried to make it seem less 'humanity must die' again at the end by ending the virus #which i guess might've been the best outcome available considering the source material and the limitations of it's ending #but idk. it felt weird #the writing this season was so much less subtle. it felt like the characters were constantly monologing directly at the camera #nothing could be left unsaid everyone had to say exactly what they meant #and it was all moral lessons the writers were trying to feed directly to the audience #i feel like they wrote themselves into a corner at the end of the last season #and they expected to have at least one more season to write themselves out of it before the ending #and if not. if this was the plan since the beginning. literally what. WHAT.#can not imagine the people who wrote the last two seasons sitting down and writing this #it won't let me add more tags but i have more thoughts. many more. tumblr is silencing me for speaking the truth /j

Jurassic World: Chaos Theory spoilers:

(This is relevant to Star Wars I promise lol)

The ending of this season just makes Tech’s death that much more frustrating!!!

Like we, the audience, knew Brooklyn was alive, because that’s the way the story was set up. That’s the story we, as humans, like and understand and crave. We didn’t know when or how she was coming back, so it was still a surprise! And she lost an arm in the attack, so there were consequences! None of the tension or emotion was lost because she’s actually alive.

It just parallels Tech’s death so perfectly…except that in Chaos Theory they actually went with the story that both made narrative sense and satisfied the audience. There was still genuine pain and grief for her through the whole season, making her ‘death’ impactful (haha we didn’t even get that for Tech, so it was pretty much meaningless 🙃), but they’re still bringing her back into the story. It doesn’t feel forced or juvenile—it feels like the way the story is supposed to go.

It just feels like a kick in the teeth coming right on the heels of the end of TBB (mixing my metaphors a little lol) because yeah. This. This is exactly what I wanted: we get Tech back. He’s changed, irrevocably, but he’s back.

There just doesn’t feel like there was any point to Tech’s death except to hurt the audience—and it barely has any impact on the in-world story at all!!! A couple of almost throw-away lines over the whole third season. We don’t even see Crosshair finding out what happened.

TL;DR

The ending of the first season of Chaos Theory is exactly what I wanted to happen with Tech, and there’s no reason we shouldn’t have gotten him back.

#and they didn’t even let Echo have the moment under the tree with the rest of them!!!#I feel like I made some sort of devil’s bargain I wasn’t aware of lol #because I am genuinely SO HAPPY with how things turned out for Crosshair #like it is so much more than I had allowed myself to possibly imagine!!!#but it shouldn’t have cost Tech #(and Echo)#like there is no reason for it #you can build suspense and tension and still tell the story you want!#but also give the audience a satisfying conclusion!#(haha this isn’t even touching on Tech’s neurodivergence being acknowledged and then killing him off…!)#(but believe me I have Thoughts and Feelings about that too)#and I’d like to believe that there’s something new coming and maybe they’ll actually deal with some of the…rubble #but I don’t have that much faith I’m sorry #anyway #tbb #the bad batch #tbb tech #chaos theory spoilers #omfg

Sometimes I think artists need to pull back on how many songs they release with a single, especially in the streaming age. Cause then when the album it's all supposed to be on drops and every other song is one I've already heard, the excitement of hearing new music wears out pretty quickly as your audience has already heard a majority of it.

Having a moment to wonder about gacha games.

How many are actively such compelling rpg’s with great production and writing and I’m wondering if it would be better for the gacha model to be non-viable and they were full price games, or if it is the business model that allow for the teams to take so many swings and make them good.

#I don’t know enough about development and the industry to have the answers #but I am very enraptured to the idea-#would arknights be better as a franchise of pseudo-visual novels #would the main story be more concise and not as tedious to get through because chapters need to be spaced #or would the lack of pressure about needing to keep an active audience make them lazy with world building #and deprive us of the best part of the game (for me)- events?#Don’t really know but I am very curious about it #thoughts sponsored by free time and the 3 new games I am juggling

bruh idk what's the damage on all those spiteful writers who have to have a twist ending and change shit at the last minute when people guess what's going on. when someone speculates about an upcoming twist or catches on to what I've been doing I light up like the fucking vegas strip at dusk

#It takes all my restraint not to start spilling the beans on the little breadcrumbs i left and the cool plot thing I've developed in my head #Like!! You guys noticed that!! You picked up what I'm putting down!!#We're in this story TOGETHER and not only are you actively thinking about the thing I've created #We're on the same page!! You drew a conclusion about something I tried to hint about that I'm planning!#It's like we're solving a mystery together. Or doing an escape room #Where im frantically building the puzzles around you while you solve them #Idk it's just cool how we scream into the void about the stories we love and then another voice starts screaming back #Personal #Writing #And you don't get a whole lot of that parallel/simultaneous give and take between author and audience that much #Fanfiction is a medium of literature but it's also a community #I mean fan works in general but my experience specifically is in writing #And in studying literature as a concept and the history of new genres developing #Like somebody was the first person to come up with the rules of a sonnet (building on rules for previous poem forms)#And now everybody agrees what the general concept of a sonnet is even if there are variations #And I think it's cool that fanfic has developed its own subset of genres like drabble and 5+1 times xyz happened #The tropes and formulas for what makes a story. The shortcuts you take to get your reader on the same page with you (metaphorically)#And digital literature is its own developing field of born digital texts vs things transferred to a digital medium and necessarily altered #Idk fanfiction is just an interesting form of literature and community over a story #in a way that is more familiar to the literal thousands of years of storytelling that came before #As opposed to this modern day concept of IP and crackdown on taking someone else's idea and just playing with or engaging with it #Because if someone else touches it they could conceivably make money off the idea that Could Have Been Yours #And society is so ruthless that it's created a culture of selfishness and individualism just to survive #When we could all just be workshopping stories and playing with blorbos #the way hundreds of years of writers were playing with the idea of some dude named king arthur or the story of gilgamesh and enkidu #Before we had a concept of authorship necessitated by our capitalist society #Tags

itd be so cool to be able to monetize worldbuilding but i think unless you have a very specific industry job in something like roleplaying game development or something thats not rly a thing.. but if i could i would definitely spend years creating a wholly detailed fantasy world with maps, climates, countries, governments, cities, religions, magic systems, political, philosophical and artistic movements, conlangs, trade routes, flora and fauna, etc etc etc and then essentially make it available to purchase as a premade setting to use for writers or artists. unfortunately this isnt a thing afaik and i couldnt justify spending the time to do it just to TRY (and fail) to make that a thing lol

#97 #if i understood how tabletop rpgs work id definitely be into that line of work i think #but it requires a lot more than just worldbuilding to make an rpg ofc..#i love love love worldbuilding and can do it essentially endlessly which does make it unfortunate that its like.#the one type of art i make that i have no avenue to monetize #its not like all art HAS to be monetized its just. if i could modestly complement my income thru endless worldbuilding thatd be awesome lol #i ofc could also release a world as a free sort of sandbox setting anyone can write in #but i dont even think THAT would be rly feasible bc i have no audience and know of no existing platforms specifically to share worldbuildin #additionally none of my CURRENT worlds are ones id want to make available either for free or not bc theyre My Little Playgrounds #so itd have to be a whole new unique world #though i do have several ideas for such worlds that i just have not yet had a project for to justify building them #though maybe one day ill try something like this w an extremely small world #eg. an isolated city which for whatever reason has no contact or knowledge of the outside world so the city can be built independently #bc worldbuilding a specific setting even if small always ends up w building an entire world for mr #since no place exists in a vacuum

I haven't opened my game in a few days but I watched the new trailer and I can't stop laughing at how hard they're pushing being a landlord as the main feature and only highlighting property owning in the trailers when I have yet to see a single person actually excited about that part of the pack. Lmfao

#What do the damn radiators and water heaters do? Are they cross compatible with Seasons or Eco Lifestyle?#Are they just decor that breaks from time to time? What is their purpose?#What does the damn world look like? What about the festivals?#The repo-ing tenant's stuff and evicting them has caused many a Simstuber to cringe (as they should) and it's hilarious to me #Like they really just do not know their audience and it's so funny. maybe what I need is just a little bit of change. Im going to completely rearrange my room

#I NEED. THINGS. I NEED something new.#I can't cut all of my hair off its already as short as I want it to be #I'm sure i'll shave my head someday but thats not happening any time soon #I want long hair but not really I just want a little bit of something new. I've had the same hair for like a year almost #I can't remember if I've done that before #I cycled through medium->short->medium->short-ish a couple times. Been at short for a year #Because I just don't really want to grow it out yet!!!#Idk. Like short hair is cool and long hair is just kind of boring sorry longhair-heads in the audience #But when I see myself with long hair its kind of interesting. Bc im a short hair girl deep down always #the couple times I grew my hair out j thunk I always knew I'd cut it short again eventually #I love cutting my hair #I want long hair just so I can cut it short again #But I don't want to grow it out!!!!#I want it 2 just become long overnight and id keep it like that for maybe a month to build up suspense and then id go short-ish because I #Might as well.
