You spent most of your honeymoon in pure bliss with Anthony but now that the two of you have settled into the Bridgerton home it's time to get to business

Violet took her time with you, introducing you to the staff and making sure you were comfortable in your new position as head of the household. She did everything she could to welcome you with open arms but you couldn't help but hold back in fear of overstepping. Often looking to her for unspoken approval.

You tried your best to maintain things as they were. Whether it was always setting out floral arrangements with an array of colors you'd become so familiar with in your many visits to the Bridgerton home or afternoons on end over tea with ladies of society. Never wanting to let anyone down. It was exhausting to be quite honest.

When Anthony wasn't otherwise occupied with his business, he was always there to offer you his love and support. Encouraging you to take more of a lead with your responsibilities while silently admiring how much respect you had for his family. He always knew you'd be his perfect Viscountess no matter what, he just had to make you believe that too

Knowing you bared the responsibility of Anthony's sister's coming out in the next couple of seasons weighed down on you like no other. Violet had done such a flawless job with Daphne's season, you knew you couldn't mess this up. You took the time to get to know each of his sister's, playing chess with Hyacinth until she bested you, taking interest in whatever reading had captured Eloise's attention in that moment, or even strolling the market with Francesca in the afternoons.

It wasn't until it was your time to organize your first ball as Viscountess that you really felt frazzled by it all. Violet took notice, offering you the guidance and reassurance you needed. Lending a helping hand whenever needed but allowing you to make all final decisions yourself. She saw so much of herself in you, how much Anthony cared for you. She knew it to be a matter of time before you grew comfortable as the new Viscountess Bridgerton

Is there any characters confirmed of African descent and not just 'dark skin Japanese' lol

Honestly there are very few characters like this. Usually all dark skinned characters in anime are some mix like half black/half Japanese or used to fill that ever so popular “middle eastern prince” trope. I really think this is because there are just not many dark skinned people in their culture. Like I’m sure many dark skinned people live in Asian countries, but not as many that live in other countries. Maybe to avoid inaccurate representation of African people they don’t include as many because there would be some type of backlash. There are many writers that include plentiful amounts of dark skinned characters that do not look like they are mixed with anything else for example the anime/manga Gangsta but the problem is it is never exclusively said that they are just of African descent. 

If I had to think of one that’s definitely African I would say Bugnug/Dark Eyes from the manga Crying Freeman. The only problem is she is a naked African crime lord, and her character development is amazing, but they did that “angry black woman” thing they always do. And even her being called dark eyes seems kind racist (?) to me idk. And then there is Afro Samurai. All these characters just look African although it’s an asian setting. They didn’t give them more asian features like slanted eyes or smaller lips or lighten up their skin tones but again I don’t think they clarify where the characters are from, but I haven’t watched the whole thing to know that. 

So I think it’s lack of explanation. Some characters have the look of being completely african, but it’s not disclosed

While most fathers fill their spare time outside of conducting business at a gentlemen's club , Anthony would much rather spend it bonding with his children. Teaching them the ways of Pall Mall and letting them best him every time just to see the smile on their faces when he dramatically faced his defeat.

legolas hums, head tilting as he follows the gaze of his father only to see a sea of twirling dresses and smiling faces — it is only then that he takes notice. you, there, alone and dancing to the music amongst the other couples.

a smile finds his lips. "ada, ask her for a dance."

"do not speak such — . . . no, I would rather not."

thranduil lowers his gaze, eliciting a sigh from his son who stands upright before presenting a smile. "as you wish, but think about it." he hums before finding his way to the dancefloor as well.

the elvenking purses his lips, trailing his eyes to the wine in his hand, yet all he sees is your dance reflecting back at him from the red liquid. he shakes his head, shutting his lids. had he become so enthralled with you that he could think of no other? surely —

"my king,"

before he can glance up there is a warm circling his wrists and to his surprise, he is pulled from his seat. with just enough time to place his drink down, the male's eyes grow wide when they meet your smiling countenance.

"what do you think you are doing?" he attempts a firm tone yet it wavers with his shock, especially when you had pulled him directly to the dance floor. "dance with me!"

you release him, spinning with the melody before turning to face him. you are met with perplexity as you take his hand again, fingers lacing with his. "please, my king, it would be my honour."

thranduil's mouth runs dry and despite his body moving in tune with the music, to the dance he had learnt centuries ago, despite his hand finding your waist while the other held your hand — you ultimately led the dance.

and when he gazes down as your beaming features staring right back at him — his heart stops, falters in the slightest. he feels as though the air left his lung momentarily which were quickly replaced by a flurry of butterflies.

suddenly, his steps felt lighter, his movements fluid, he pulls you closer and now perfectly syncs with the music — losing himself within the world of your twinkling irises. and your smile — oh, your smile.

"the honour is all mine, my lady,"

neither of you took notice of the eyes lingering, those who stopped to stare and definitely not the smiling of legolas and the other palace staff as the king finally took less in the dance. you both sway in harmony, one step, second step, a spin, a twirl, a scene straight out of a fairytale.

he smiles, forgetting the world around him, as do you. instead, you lock gazes, letting the music lead you both in this exchange of hearts.

ʚ You and Legolas took the same course in college, yet the both of you never really interacted. Sure, you knew one another - even sat beside each other. But you typically focused on your work and while Legolas was a social butterfly he never wished to bother you 

ʚ What you didn’t know was that the elf had the biggest crush on you – the very reason as to why he tried his hardest not to disturb you 

ʚ While you did find him quite attractive, once again, you focused more on your work. Not wanting to let feelings distract you and possibly get yourself hurt in the process. Legolas was stunning, kind and sweet all around. You knew damn well there were many fawning over him

ʚ It was only until the both of you interacted outside of college, at a coffee shop that you worked part-time in, did your relationship grow. You found him visiting more often and as much as you didn’t want to admit it you found yourself waiting for each and every visit 

ʚ This would be what eventually sparked him asking for your number, which would lead to endless texts and phone calls — till you found yourself on a date with him. Then a second and a third - and before you knew it: you were dating 

ʚ Still tries his hardest not to disturb you when you’re both in class but he can’t help it. Legolas is a very physically affectionate lover and always has to have a hand resting on your knee or fingers laced with yours. There are some times he just slumps against your shoulder and pays absolutely no attention to the lecturer and instead watches you scribble down notes 

ʚ Takes you out on sooooo many dates. He has something new planned every weekend. One of his favourites has to be the carnival. He uses his sharp aim to his every advantage when it comes to the booth games. Let’s just say that your entire room is full of stuffed animals that he’s won for you 

ʚ You often stay over at his place. His father is a politician so you weren’t surprised when you discovered Legolas resided in some old-timely manor. His entire life he was pretty much sheltered and spoiled so you take it upon yourself to cook him meals just to show him what the ‘taste of home’ is like. You even offered to teach him how to cook and it became a favourite activity between the both of you 

ʚ You’re the one who has to drag him out of bed in the mornings when you both have class. He’s way too content sleeping in and missing the entire day if it means he can snuggle with you 

ʚ Legolas bought you a little arrow pendant bracelet, he has a similar one but with the bow. He’s hopelessly romantic like that 

ʚ Bubble baths! Loves just soaking with you ( and throwing foam at you like the little shit he is but that’s a story for another day )

ʚ You both have a system. You steal all his jackets and jerseys and when they don’t have his scent anymore, you give them back. He, in turn, receives your scent all over his clothes - which he’ll then return back to you once it’s gone. And the cycle continues 

ʚ He is very active on social media and let’s just say you have featured a LOT on his pages. Everyone is always gushing about how cute the two of you are with one another
