I don't think there has been a single day in at least the last 3 months (maybe more) where I've legit forgot to check if BEAU updated

Sometimes I think about @buggachat 's Bakery Enemies AU and it makes me sad that it's been on hiatus for so long :( I'm starting to wonder if it'll ever come back or if it's just done (which would be totally fine! I understand that Bugga is a human person with a life and needs and does not exist solely to pump out BEAU comics, but it would still be sad)

There are plot threads, bugga even pointed it out, but I do think the *story* ended neatly there. Further developments in spinoffs/fics/etc seem like a good way to handle anything else.

So many AUs get bogged down in trying to build/answer/do everything. BEAU had one very concrete arc and executed that; commendable restraint.

Oh yeah no I'm not genuinely upset I think it's a great spot to end the series and leave the open ties an optional future project or fodder for fans to make their own content.

But also yeah rip to AUs that get bogged down trying to get around to everything because uh. my personal Hell.

wait specifically what for? the only thing i can think of is the end of the beau comic, the spooning selfie (which imo. like obviously it's a ridiculous thing to happen at all 1) they're fictional 2) there's literally explicit stuff of them out there (which is totally fine! they're fictional! i'm just saying like there's so many clearer targets to try and hit?? though i guess they wanna go after well known fairly active ppl in the community cos these ppl always do) but at the same time it would also be really funny in a depressing way bc marinette almost predicted it when she was like 'doesn't that look a little....'

then again i havent read bugga's latest fics and those r tagged sexual humor so could be one of those

i saw someone once saying that lady noire was sexualised bc u could see her bellybutton 💀 like bro u can see that on ladybug too it's just a little harder cos it's covered in her red suit and not black. like if you're gonna say anything's weird then pick that bit where chat was literally tied up in reverser at least that was actually made by the show creators but it's still not That weird. like why are you going after fanworks we're literally fans we're making Nothing we're influencing Jack Shit 'oh the innocent young'....what? btw there’s a lot of nuance to this issue. i genuinely think that there are people on mlbtwt that skew young that are genuinely uncomfortable w the existence/notion of nsfw content esp regarding tv-y7 shows BUT i truly don’t think buggachat of all people makes content that qualifies for the chopping board 😭😭😭

it’s why I don’t ever intend on promoting tvl on mlbtwt, on one hand id get cancelled on sight, on the other hand, like I said, mlbtwt tends to skew young, and while my opinion of the internet is that we should be raising people to healthily handle stumbling upon content they dislike rather than arguing against its existence (yknow that one post w the therapist asking parents what happens when their child sees something on tv they dislike) I think in our current climate it’s better to avoid upsetting as many people as possible altogether
