Insane how much movie Buffy and show Buffy’s love interests look alike

It occurred to me that Buffy the Vampire Slayer (the 1992 movie starring Kristy Swanson, not the TV show) and The Lost Boys could almost take place in the same universe

Unlike in the later (and much more popular) tv show, the Buffy movie vampires don’t conveniently go poof when staked, and they can fly. A bit of tweaking and that crossover/fusion could work.

(Plus Buffy’s watcher was played by Donald Sutherland, which is too funny to me)
