Just when you least expect it... Look at God. I was just praying about my passion for acting... asking God and checking in with Him on where He wanted me to go with it... and then this. Last year a film that I was honored to act in debuted at the British Urban Film Festival. I attended the debit and it was enough to see myself in a theater on the big screen. More than I could have dreamed or asked for when I started acting while we were living in London. Today they announced the BUFF acting award nominations. Not only was the lead actor who played my husband nominated (shout out to @aubreywhite ) but I AM NOMINATED FOR BEST FEMALE ACTRESS EMERGING TALENT!! LOOK AT GOD! If you ask He will answer. If you trust Him, He will never fail you. Just to be nominated it beyond anything I could ever imagine. I did the film just in the pursuit of a dream, not seeking an award. The story and talent was transformative and it will forever be one of the best experiences of my life. I received some criticism and flack for going into acting. One day I will tell those stories, but for now, I will say this - never let anyone put you in a box. If God says go, go. If God says do it, do it. And If you have more than one talent, gifting, or capability DO THEM ALL THE THE BEST OF YOUR CAPACITY. Never place a limit on what God can do and what you can do with Him. I'm really excited. I feel extremely blessed. Thank you Bola for sharing this moment with me. You epitomize sisterhood. Thank you Demus for always encouraging me on and off camera and for giving us all this opportunity. This is epic.
