I am in mood to think about silly Bruce and Jason, thus, behold a scenario: when Bruce adopts Jason, he has some basic cooking skills, but they are not that great. He can survive, and that is pretty much. But then he sees Jason and Alfred bonding over cooking, seeing Jason's love language being food in general, and he wants also to be the better chief!

Alfred is still very territorial when it comes to his kitchen, so Jason is the exception. That is why Bruce starts sneaking out when Alfred sleeps to teach himself to cook better, and Jason eventually tags along.

(Alfred knows. He just pretends that he doesn't.)

But, anyway... First, Bruce's attempts to cook is... uh. Something else entirely. He instantly aims for huge, complex dishes, and that is a mistake as well. He is also a little bit delusional about his talent in cooking.

And Jason, his jury? His opinion is NOT objective in the slightest. Jason's taste buds are SHIT after all his childhood trauma, he eats up anything, and considering that Bruce cooks for him, he mentally considers this food to be even more tasty in his mind.

Bruce, proudly beaming: I think, I am getting closer to perfection every day, Al. Might as well soon cook for us three myself! Alfred, squinting: Is that so? Jason on the background, eating gods-know-what made by Bruce: Seconded! Alfred, sarcastic: Oh, I am shaking in the boots for my position on this kitchen.

Dick, coming home for holidays, kinda excited, because Bruce promised to cook for him: Uh... What is this? Alfred: Dinner made by your father. And approved by your brother. Dick: Is that a joke? Dick, glaring at Bruce and Jason eating on the background blissfully: ...Oh, fuck, it is not a joke. Alfred: I'll cover up for you. Throw this mess on the outer bin, and take the plate I had prepared for you. And put a dollar to the swear jar. Dick, sighing in relief: Thank you.

Okay, but imagine a human giving their yautja lover a lemon for the first time. the yautja just chews the entire lemon whole, and you instantly burst out with laughter, causing your love to narrow their eyes in suspicion. But before they can question you, their entire face scrunches into disgust and mild horror. They can't spit it out because to waste a gift from you would be to dishonour their mate. So they're forced to chew through the intense foreign feeling, unable to stop their manibiles from clacking visciously in displeasure. You can't stop giggling, eyes watering as you have to cover your mouth to keep from bellowing laughter. Your yautja certainly doesn't find it as funny.

When they finish the nasty fruit they growl at you. "Ooman knew what would happen. Tricky ooman." And they reach out to pull you into their chest. "Will show you what happens when little ooman plays tricks." Their growl in your ear is seductive and makes you shudder instinctively.

You're already wondering how they would react to a lime next.

anyways here is a list of my personal favorite headcanons:

first off, I hc that he's great with small children or babies, cause he used to take care of his sister when she was very young

He squeezes himself into fuckass crevices or sleeps in trees when he has to camp out and the hunt or mission took longer than he anticipated and there's no inn near (that being said, he would probably kind of suck at making campfires the normal mortal way cause why go through all that effort when you can just blast qi to light up the branches + he never needed to ever since he cultivated a core)

can smoke or grill some banger meat, he sometimes shares it with his disciples and they love it

secretly is a little vain, afterall someone put that braid there and having a long piece of hair dangling in front of ur face isn't very practical for certain situations

probably cuddles with cheng luan, need I say more?

him and his sister look very similar (except for height) so they can usually get away with swapping identities

he looks like he stands on his tiptoes most of the time (based on the eng novel art, Ik that's prolly just for dynamic posing sake but this is such an awkward stance for a normal human being lmfao)

he can crawl on all fours really efficiently for no reason, sometimes uses this skill to scare/test his disciples

Ok so we have Lucanis sauntering over acting suave. Because he is.

But then look how genuinely Happy he is to be there too! Look at how he's looking at Rook! Look at how much he likes them!!

Then obviously there's the look at Rook's lips. I do find it interesting that this happens After Rook touches him so it's not the touch that makes him hesitate. The touch only spurs him on.

Like look how much effort it takes him to pull away. He Knows he's hurting Rook. But also this has to happen, because he's not ready. I do always wonder if he's like... taking it upon himself to try and protect Rook from themselves a little bit too? 'At least I know I'm doing it' -> Rook might like me but they don't know exactly what they're signing up for so I have to pull back for both our sakes rn. Also I don't think Spite had anything to do with this. All the other times Spite said/did something it was a lot more jarring. I could be wrong tho that's just my interpretation. It's even worse when you compare how happy he just was! And he's not letting himself have that happiness!! Lucanis!!!

I think it's interesting that the picture Stanford uses of himself for his note in The Book of Bill shows him walking into what is very likely the same birch stand where he met Bill the first time, at around the same time of year when he met Bill the first time.

It appears to be a bit of a clearing, and the trees in the background are spruces or firs rather than the redwoods that take up most of the Gravity Falls forest. The only slight difference is that in Stanford's current picture there appears to be a mountain in the background and there isn't one in the background from when he met Bill. But there's a real simple explanation for that: the picture was taken from a different angle. I'd hazard to guess that, if we panned the image from the past around (my guess is turned to the right), there'd probably be a hint of a mountain coming above those trees.

Anyways I'm sure it's a stretch to say that this is intentional but. It is interesting.

I always think it's funny when I see one of those posts from someone going I can't BELIEVE people talk about Ghibli films as aesthetic comfort sweet soft movies, these movies are about DARK FUCKED UP subject matter and heavy topics like DEATH and WAR and then you can scroll a little further and you can see reblogged clips from Ghibli movies of slow pans across sprawling meadows and beautifully rendered alien fauna or cozy villages with the most beautiful piano score played over it, sandwiched between moments of genuine human compassion and connection, quiet sequences of people performing mundane tasks, and I'm like yeah man that's crazy, definitely people are crazy if they associate these things w their corresponding movies. personally, I sit down to watch Kiki's Delivery Service stone-faced as I meditate on the Loss Of Innocence and I don't experience any other parts of the movie. only the serious bits. I don't reblog a single aesthetic gifset from the movie because then that means I would be Missing The Point

Something that you see a lot in TCF/LCF is Cale "professional scammer" Henituse frequently rotating through disguises for himself and the people around him in order to get away with his schemes.

Which does lead to a lot of funny moments.

“We. Are. The. Real. Arm.”

But sometimes, you have people recognizing them through their disguises through cues that they only know because they truly have come to know each other.

So you get heartwarming moments like Cale recognizing Alberu cosplaying as a Dark Tiger, because of how "elegant" his mane looked while he moved, or the way he sighs.

And then you have Alberu recognizing Cale as Kim Rok Soo by the way that he fought, by the look on his eyes.

There's Choi Han, who also recognized Cale as Kim Rok Soo by his mannerisms and the things that he said.

Plus, Cale recognizing Lee Soo Hyuk by his choice of words and mannerisms alone. (And by a single phrase, mind you)

Cue to that one panel from Raeliana that I still love with all my heart:

Even Dorph and the Cat's Tribe leader were able to recognize Cale through a disguise because of how angry he got on On and Hong's behalf after the Cat tribe insulted them. (And because of Raon, but shhh)

And then you get Bud:
