It takes a week and a bunch of talks from the 118 family but Tommy finds a way to make up with Buck.

For the Buck/Tommy Fix It Bingo. Spent a while debating on if this technically counted as 118 Shenanigans or Refusing the Breakup lol but in the end I'm counting it as Found Family because as far as I'm concerned, Tommy is part of the 118 family now.

For this: just for fun, I decided to pick one spot on the board for each fic, instead of applying one fic to multiple spots. It just challenged me to acknowledge some of my favorite fics better, I guess.

Canon? Who needs it? Anyone else craving a fix-it fic in this trying hiatus? Gentle reminder that you can also participate by curating fic reccs for fics that aren't part of the bingo. Read a fic that has Buck or Tommy knocked up? That's a baby fix-it in my book. Comment, Kudos and start a recc list. Find fics that you enjoy and get you a bingo and tag us in the final list. Are participants actually trying to get a 5 in a row bingo or can we just do random prompts? I like different prompts across both cards, but I don't like enough of the prompts in a single row to do them all. So, can I do random prompts across both cards? Please let me know if I need to explain better.

Hi, That's entirely up to you. If you're searching to get a bingo, go for it. If you're just wanting to do random prompt do that. The bingo is just the fun incentive. How you go about it is your adventure. There will be more bingo cards with some of the prompts mixed up and moved around and new cards too but both us admins are swamped rn so its taking a bit longer than intended. If you'd like a bingo card with certain prompts removed we can do that up for you are well. All that being said: most people will do whatever prompt tickles them and if they get a bingo eventually then yay! If not then you've had fun anyways :)

There are no dates on this.

Rather than an event think of it as a long term fan project.

You can take as long as you'd like to participate no start or end date.

If a year from now you finally get a bingo, we'll celebrate with you, same as if you get it a week from now. :)

Both us admins are often in slow moving fandoms so even with 9-1-1 being a fast-paced fandom, we're both hoping to create the kind of fan project that will help keep BuckTommy fandom going strong for the long term.

You can absolutely do as many as you like

Pretty confused ab how this works? Can you explain pls ? Do we do all prompts?

Sure!

First you choose a bingo card. Type 1 or Type 2 and you get to choose which freespace you'd like (smut, fluff or whomp).

Then based on the prompts on the card you chose, you write.

Or you draw.

Or you dont draw or write but want to participate you find a fic you like that matches a prompt on that card and you leave them a comment and recc that fic.

It's like any fan bingo really but with cards already made up instead of customized since we're only 2 admins and also want to participate.

You get 5 in a row, or the 4 corners, just like in any bingo game, then you've got a bingo.

Now, this is a fan bingo so there's no real prize except for enjoying the fandom but I've been toying with the idea of commissioning some fanart for winners. But nothing is certain yet.

If anyone has suggestions for how any of this can be made clearer just send an ask and one of us will get back to you.

whats dark fic?

Someone suggested it as a prompt as is with no explanation... so dark fic (to me) is whatever darker subject matter you'd prefer it to be about.

Now whether thats violence or death or self harm or rape or whatever else is left for interpretation.

Some people call it dead dove but as I understand it Dead Dove just means: heed the warning.

Any dark fic would need to have warnings for whatever the heavier subject matter is.

(If the person who suggested it wants to quantify the prompt I'll update and add explainations)

if we use card 1 for example, and one prompt fill is whumpy and another we write is fluffy, how does that work with the bingo? do we have to do use two cards and do two bingos?

Of course you can have a whump fill for one an another be fluffy. The Whump, Fluff and Smut variations are just the freespace for if you have a work you wanna do that doesnt really match any of the other prompts.

That being said, you can have as many multiple cards going at one if youd like. This bingo event is mostly about engaging as a fandom so there's not a lot of hard fast rules.

can you post higher res bigger versions of the cards? they're blurry and hard to read.
