Aster is associated with a lamb! Because she's the Jesus metaphor, used as a sacrifice for scientific endeavors, y'know...I've been wanting to play around with more black sheep imagery though,, because she's othered for her magic (but then again literally every character in this story is "othered" for one reason or another. Mostly bc no one can handle their queer and neurodivergent swag)

Beatrice is associated with birds in general, but more specifically the mourning dove because! The mourner. Even before Charles dies she's kinda grieving who he used to be. And I plan on there being a lot of bird-in-a-cage-but-the-cage-is-open (She feels stuck at the manor, even though she could leave, she won't because of her dedication to Charles) imagery (stole that from @/senaaaard btw hi sen)

Charles is associated with bees because 1. Bees are known for being like,, incredibly hard workers and 2. Because bees die when they sting. They made an impact, but caused their own demise in the process. I ❤️ TRAGIC CHARACTERS

Grace is associated with a deer for a couuple of reasons? iirc deer are sometimes associated with the supernatural or with spirituality??, and y'know Grace is the only other magic one (healing abilities), she's also put on a pedestal and serves as some kind of "savior" when she heals people (grace is also a jesus metaphor and a parallel to Aster). also because Grace is damn near the "perfect victim," always kindly and "innocent", only ever breaking under the pressure of the role of savior she's been given once, which is what gets her arrested and killed anyways,, but like even when she's waiting in a jail cell before she gets executed she still helps and heals the other kids in the cell with her, despite being exhausted and hurt and bruised herself. ALSO also because of a thing that happened with Bea and Charlie as teenagers. Charles was Hangin Out in the woods and came across a deer corpse that somehow, for some reason, hasn't been eaten or completely decayed yet. He was super excited and thought it would be so cool and fun and eDuCatIonAlLy eNrIcHiNg to dissect it, and he gets Beatrice to do so as well. Beatrice is VERY opposed to it and feels like they're desecrating the poor thing, while Charles can't get himself to empathize and sees it purely as a learning opportunity. Mirroring how Charles,, steals Grace's corpse and dissects it, like completely tears it apart and stores different organs and limbs as it's rare he can get his hands on a corpse that's 100 percent confirmed to have been magic, Beatrice once again being opposed to it, but unable to stop him.

Eli is associated with crows because DEATH! okay also because crows are like,, idk common little fellas you see em on the street and they're really clever despite being seen as a spooky omen. But also spooky omen. Eli is CONSTANTLY surrounded by death. He's a kid living in an industrial city in the 1890s what do you expect. But yeah Eli has witnessed his fair share of corpses, there's been plenty of times one of his fellow newsies died overnight or didn't come back after leaving for work, etc. also his parents are dead!! Grace dies!! He thought Martha died when she got kidnapped!! everyone he knows keeps dying !! urhgh !! Also in canon Eli denies knowing Grace after her death (Peter from the bible allegory) and a crow will caw after he does so!! just like a chicken (?) does in the bible!!! Also Eli is a parallel to Beatrice. Birds 👍

And lastly Martha is associated with a praying mantis for kiinnnnd of superficial reasons,, one because. Praying. She's super Christian so she does that a lot. And 2 because of the whole thing where mantises eat their spouses? Martha blames herself for the death of her beloved Grace? Hmm?????? You see the vision????

time skip 2 the day of the wedding

(if ur a mans) y/n will be the person walking mc down the aisle

so y/n had to be there fairly early to help with everything as well as get ready for the ceremony and reception

the entire 2nd floor of the nearest hotel to the wedding venue was rented out thanks to jumin !

the brothers took up a total of 2 rooms...lucifer, mammon, and asmo to one room / satan, beel, belphie, and levi to another

lucifer needed to be with mammon and asmo and practically kept them on an invisible leash considering that they have pretty bad self restraint in terms of their sin

but jumin also had to pull some strings to get the ceremony at a space station...hip hip hooray

the station said it was strictly only immediate family though, so the ceremony was just mc, saeyoung, y/n, jaehee (only bridesmaid/maid of honor if y/n is a boy), saeran, yoosung, jumin, zen, and v

saeyoung is in awe as he watches mc walk down the aisle...hes dreamed of this moment his entire life!

who would have known they'd actually manage to get married in a space station?? :')

after saying their vows, mc and saeyoung kissy kiss and all is HAPPY

idk how weddings work in terms of scheduling so let us simply time skip to the reception

the brothers pull up skrrt earlier than most guests but they arent the first ones to arrive

cue mammon, levi, and asmo arguing over where y/n should sit

satan interrupts and clarifies that y/n will be sitting at the head table with their sister. they r salty

oKAY UHHH time to start the reception!!

y/n and zen duetting???? beauty and the beast????? as they escort mc and saeyoung in for their slow dance???? YES PLEASE

when the brothers see y/n as they sing the first line of the song they ! almost ! combust !

mc and saeyoung slow dance to the song and everyone has tears in their eyes. yoosung is crying into saeran's arms as saeran holds back tears. jaehee is crying bc she and y/n coordinated the entire thing and shes happy but also feeling stressed.

dinner is buffet style, and lucifer's attention and energy is now directed toward beel. this is a formal human event and not one of diavolo's parties where people are used to him hogging everything down...

but y/n was smart enough to help get the brothers' table to be seated next to the buffet so after all the other tables get their food beel could secretly go ham

the first interaction between rfa and the brothers happen between lucifer and v

v could see that lucifer was kinda struggling and decided to check in on him before checking in on the other guests

they end up talking a lot. mostly about how they both lied to their respective squads to try to protect them from the truth

lucifer of course tones the story down and doesnt give away that they r demons, though

y/n saw levi all pissy alone at the table so they grabbed yoosung and introduced him to levi. they were awkward at first but once yoosung mentioned LOLOL levi was all ears and they bonded over different games

y/n stays a bit to make sure levi doesnt reveal anything sus

meanwhile, asmo is flirting with zen. complimenting his singing from earlier as well as his rat tail

zen mentions that asmo's skin is glistening and the two of them go crazy over different skincare brands

asmo may or may not have accidentally said that he uses a lamb blood and aloe vera mixture yes i just made that up which confused zen but zen's reaction further confused asmo until asmo remembered !! im in the human world

so he played it off as a joke and told zen that he shouldnt furrow his eyebrows much otherwise he'll wrinkle quicker

as saeran walks to the ice cream station next to the buffet he sees beel holding an entire tray of fish with a suspicious looking belphie standing next to him

when belphie and saeran lock eyes the energy in that corner of the room turns so dark that you could see storm clouds forming over them : ◉ ∧ ◉ : ╏

anyway jaehee, like v, was checking in with the guests when she spots mammon investigating a gold doorknob

mammon nearly shits himself when jaehee taps him on the back and asks him if he is okay

satan compliments elizabeth the third when he sees jumin petting her on the balcony. they talk about cats for a while and jumin tells satan that he enjoys the company of another man elizabeth deems worthy to be in her presence

by the end of the night

everyone is helping with cleaning up the ballroom after all the other guests have gone

jumin thinks that beel is cool, since he ate all the food provided as well as the mochi party favors

mammon volunteers to take home all of the extra centerpieces and decorations. before lucifer says no, mc and seven tell mammon hes more than welcome to take them all home. it would just sit in their house and collect dust, anyway

when everyone is back in their hotel room (y/n stays with jaehee for the night so mc and saeyoung can get it on) yoosung invites levi to play some games with him in his room

zen shares a room with yoosung and eagerly watches the two boys playing

asmo needs to follow his sleeping schedule so he peacefully goes to sleep while dreaming of not-so-appropriate things. he’ll be back on his bullshit tomorrow

lucifer is trying to help mammon figure out a way to organize all the freebies he got to prevent all of it from falling everywhere when they go back to devildom. he also sets a centerpiece aside for diavolo to keep. cute!

belphie is knocked out and so is beel (food coma)

satan stays with jumin for a bit, wanting to be around elizabeth the third a bit longer, then returns to his room around 2am. he sees that levi isn’t back in the room and texts for him to return soon.

I don’t think I’ve read your stories sorry but I’ll ask a random ass question. What is one of your favourite moments that you’ve written for one of your fics and why? 😁

That’s okay not many people are a fan of my stories because I tend to write hiccup and OCs, but I am glad you ask :)

But my personal favorite has to be in Dust in the Skies where my OC Eira tries to deter her father away from Berk with a fake whistle (made from a lamb’s bone instead of a dragon) that he has been looking years for. Doesn’t work so she gets pretty much beaten up until she spills that Hiccup has it. Then there’s the standoff of them at the docks (this was written before rtte btw) where Eira’s father has her and threatens Hiccup killing her or hand over the whistle. The dialogue is one of my favorites because I got to write someone evil and how Hiccup handles it. Plus, the scene was in my head for months and when finally writing it I was so happy to put it in words lol Here's a snippet under the keep reading if you’re interested in reading and thanks again for asking.

Hiccup glared and growled out, "let her go Illfuss."

               The Viking smirked and shook his head, "Oh I don't think so Hiccup. Now we all may be family, but I'm here looking for something and I am sure Eira has told you what exactly that is." Seeing the boy freeze when bringing the topic up he knew he had it, "now I hear you are a smart boy Hiccup so I'm willing to make a deal." He squeezed harder on her shoulders making everyone hear her cry out in pain and slide down closer to the dock. Hiccup took a step towards Eira, which was a bad reflex since the man yanked her back by her hair. "Tsk tsk Hiccup you should know better than to make a move like that without hearing my offer."

               His angry green eyes stared at her own fearful ones and slowly asked, "What is it?"

               "Well that's the easy part, my daughter for the whistle." When the boy stayed silent contemplating the deal he added, "Oh come on son your beautiful loving wife for a mere trinket. It shouldn't be that hard to decide."

               The Viking teen considered it more. In reality, he would have done it in a heartbeat, until he saw Eira's battered head slowly shook giving him the courage to answer with a solid, "No."

“Sure sis… you definitely don’t have a sketchbook of drawings of him.”

“You can stop talking now!”

The two had arrived at Jeongmi’s new room, because college dorms were way too expensive. And lucky for her, there was a Min Jisol who was looking for a roommate.

“I’ll bring your stuff around later, ok?”

“Ok… bye!”

But in his defense, Jungkook believed he had the right to be worried about his little sister. Because he was pretty darn sure he knew exactly how her roommate was: the infamous Min Jisol of Daegu Town High School. She was the girl that everyone warned you about. It was obvious she smoked because she always coughed as if she had smoker’s lung and could literally collapse at any given moment. And Jesus Christ, she always smelled like goddamn alcohol! She always seemed as if she had tried to get the stank of alcohol off, but in the end she miserably failed and the smell basically radiated off of her. But of course, can’t forget that she was always late and skipping class. The problem? She never got in trouble for it. To top it all off, she graduated as valedictorian. Combined with her popularity amongst the boys for her looks, it was no surprise when the gossip train tooted about Jisol sleeping around with the administration to get straight A’s. Hence, she was basically the queen of the school in all aspects. Despite all the obvious warning signs, people loved her. Earning her the nickname, Harley Queen.

But Jungkook was barely any better and he knew it. His reputation wasn’t exactly spotless since he hit high school. Puberty had treated him very kindly, earning the attention from all the girls within the school district. Especially at sport competitions. And every so often, a girl would ask to speak to him somewhere quiet. Alone. Like a lost lamb, he would follow. He never did anything, didn’t even touch them, yet the gossip train tooted that Jungkook had a knack for quickies and breaking the girls’ hearts once he was done with them. Because of this one fact, Jungkook had begrudgingly agreed to let Jeongmi room with Jisol. Maybe she was just another victim of the gossip train, just like him.  Or maybe it was just his grudge against her for… a number of reasons.

“Ok… bye Jungkook!”

“I’ll bring your stuff up in like, two hours ok?”

“Uh-huh. Goodbye!”

Obviously, Jeongmi was super embarrassed that her brother was basically dropping her off at her first apartment. And she didn’t want to make a bad first impression, so she did everything in her power to shoo him away. But as soon as the door opened, Jeongmi was shocked by the girl’s beauty in front of her. All of her doubts disappeared into thin air and she found herself bowing awkwardly.

“Hello, my name is Jeongmi. It’s really nice to meet you!”

But Jisol was already busting a lung with laughter.

“You are so cute!! But anyway, you don’t have to act so formal around me. We’re roommates now Jeongmi. As you probably know, my name’s Jisol and welcome to the apartment!”

Despite having only met once or twice, Jeongmi already felt the bond forming between them.

“Do you need any help bringing your stuff up or anything?”

“Actually, my brother is bringing up my stuff in a couple of hours.”

“Girl, that’s honestly sibling goals. My brother would tell me to suck it up and be independent like all the girls in the world preach about.”

But now, Jeongmi was confused as hell. How in the world did Jisol have such awful rumors circulating about her? She was honestly one of the sweetest, most wholesome Jeongmi had ever met. But for Jisol? She was just over the moon that there was someone who was willing to give her a clean slate and actually get to know her. Not try to kiss up to her just so she could be referred to one of the guys. The reason everyone thought she was a slut was that most of her friends were guys. Mostly because the other girls at school were entirely too judgemental. And super bitchy.

“Feel free to explore, Jeongmi. Lol, you don’t have to be so nervous. You kinda live her now?”

And Jeongmi was like, why the hell does it literally smell like freaking daisies? Smoker’s lung, my foot! There wasn’t even the slightest whiff of smoke or alcohol anywhere. That’s when the knock came faintly. Which Jeongmi barely heard.

“Hi, I’m Jungkook, Jeongmi’s older brother. I came to drop off her stuff?”

Already, Jungkook was gaining attention from the neighbors. Mostly because the apartment was a hot spot for college kids who couldn’t afford or didn’t want to live in a dorm.

“Unnie, do you mind if he comes inside? Because there are literally people crowding the hallway just to stare at him. And it’s kinda gross?”

“Yeah, of course! Come on in.”

See, Jeongmi was totally clueless to the history between Jungkook and Jisol. They had been rivals at everything, all the way up until high school. But that was a different story. Sighing, Jisol let him in, promising herself to be civil for Jeongmi’s sake, if not hers.

As for Jungkook, he was surprised to see the two three-star black belts hanging in the open closet and the sheer amount of beat-up medical textbooks on the kitchen table.

“Do you want anything to drink?”

“Uh, no. I’m good actually. But thanks.”

And he was 100% surprised at how well Jisol was keeping her cool. Taking the heavy box from him, Jisol gave Jungkook a tight smile.

“I  can help Jeongmi unpack if you have somewhere you need to be.”

But Jisol knew that look in his eyes all too well. There was no way this could be the apartment of the Harley Queen, right? There was no way that the Queen would actually be reading and studying to get good grades, right? She had to be hiding the booze somewhere, right? The drugs? The weed? The cigarette packs? And Jungkook understood the tone of dismissal in her voice all too well.

“Then I’ll be going then. Bye, Mi!”

But as Jungkook made his way down to his car, he couldn’t but think of the little collage of Jisol’s baby pictures on the wall. One of them was of the two of them holding hands as they crossed the street. Groaning out loud, Jungkook looked towards the sky.

“STOP BEING IN MY LIFE MIN JISOL!!!!!”

Why was his life so intertwined with Jisol’s?!! On top of already being entangled with every aspect of his life, why was she his ex-girlfriend from preschool too?!! He thought he’d erased his memory of her a long time ago!!

When Jungkook got back to the house, he wasn’t surprised to find Yoongi watching TV on the couch.

“So… how did it go?”

“I mean, Jeongmi seems to really like her, so I guess that’s all that matters.”

Shaking his head, Yoongi sat up straight.

“But I asked what your thoughts on Jisol are?”

“She’s… a lot different from what I expected.”

“How so?”

“She seems a lot more… put together than everyone takes her for. There’s not a single trace of cologne, smoke, drugs, or alcohol in there. I honestly have no idea how the hell these rumors formed about her. She seems really nice.”

“Well… she has changed a lot since high school ended. Plus, the rumors are mostly my fault. But I thought you were-”

“What are you talking about, hyung?”

“There’s a lot of things you don’t know about me, Jungkook. However, this story isn’t entirely mine to tell, so it’d be a tad unfair if she weren’t here to explain the entirety of the situation.”

“But-”

“No.”

Grumbling, Jungkook made his way to the shower. He knew where he stood among the seven guys as the youngest: at the top. But when it came to Yoongi? That was all null and void.

“YAH JUNGKOOK-AH! JOONIE HAS A MISSION FOR YOU, JIMIN, AND TAE!!”

Jin yelled through the door, banging on it to disrupt the peace of the hot, running water.

“Ok hyung! I’ll be out soon! BUT YOU BREAK THAT DOOR I SWEAR-”

“BYE!”

But why was Tae coming on this mission? That almost never happened. He was the one who usually stayed back to work the comms and get all the inside info that was necessary to send to whoever was out in the field. But if he was coming, Joon-hyung’s mission for them had to be insanely top priority if Tae was coming out to play. 10 minutes later, the boys were seated on the floor in front of Joon.

“Does everyone here know Song Yuri?”

“Yeah. We’re all in the same biology class.”

“Well we just found out from our spy that Yuri is actually the heiress of the Ahn Empire in Daegu.”

“Wait… aren’t they the ones-”

“Who created a memory implanter and have passed down some secret through generations, using it?!!”

“Yes, that one. And if everyone else knows, then everyone is going to be gunning for her. She’s dating one of the NCT boys so we have to be careful. From what we know, she’s close with all of the NCT boys so we have to be careful. The reason I chose you three is because you have a subconscious memory of Yuri’s behavioral patterns So please bring her back alive. Got that?”

“Yes hyung.”

“Good. We’ve also got word that it’s one of the Dreamies’ birthdays today so they’ll be vulnerable. I will take the other hyungs to take them out, ok?”

where’s god? where was he when i needed him the most? when those hands were wrapped mine, grasping at my neck. those hungry eyes feasting on me, how grimey it felt. were my pleas not good enough? the sobs i let out, only for the walls to hear. i was clean, i was innocent. i was like a little lamb until i fell into your uncleanly hands. just one little whisper of assurance was all i asked, instead i heard another voice whispering in my ears. my silent pleas, my silent prayers, my sobs. the house, oh it smelled putrid. he himself, smelled horrid. how could one end up like that. the poor lamb that strayed so far from god. it led me to ponder. where was god? am i not good enough for him? i did everything i could to be a little child. i know now. the god that people worship and pray to. that god. does not exist. turning a blind eye towards me. maybe even turning a blind eye towards him. it doesn’t matter. god simply does not matter.
