Cult of the Lamb: Death Welcomes All

This is my silly little CotL au based on my first playthrough of the game!!

First off, we have the Lamb! Their name is Briar. Once a farmer in Anura, they had to flee their home, leaving their Papa behind. After this, they lived in Darkwood for a few years with their Mama before they had to run from there as well. Eventually, they lost hope and were caught by followers of the Old Faith. Although they had been faithful to the gods, Briar turned on them when The One Who Waits brought them back as they promised to free him. As a cult leader, Briar does their best to fulfill follower requests and keep the faith high. While they reminisce about their old life from time to time, Briar truly enjoys taking care of their flock.

Next up is Narinder! At some point in time, he read Briar’s mind and discovered that they had a crush on him, which he planned to manipulate as much as possible. This backfired when he began reciprocating Briar’s feelings because they reminded Narinder of someone he had forgotten. Despite his emotions complicating the matter, he still decided to sacrifice his vessel to fully regain his power. Following his defeat, Narinder grew resentful toward the one who freed him, so he plotted to destroy them. However, as Briar saved and healed his siblings, Narinder’s anger started to fade. Although he’s mostly settled down, he occasionally gets into little scraps when bored.

Leshy is an absolute little chaos gremlin. He causes trouble whenever he can because he can. Since he is in charge of the cult’s farm, he occasionally steals a few camellias to keep for himself. The prison is hardly ever in use as Leshy breaks people out of it. When he isn’t working, he enjoys pulling pranks on the other cultists. The only person he never pranks is Aurum as he doesn’t want to strain their relationship.

Heket used to be Briar’s goddess and would visit their farm from time to time to accept their offerings of delectable crops. Although rather grumpy due to losing her powers, Heket does acknowledge that her siblings appear happier. She almost always has snacks on hand because of her large appetite. Briar is teaching her how to cook so that she can make meals whenever she pleases.

Kallamar spends most of his time in the healing bay, where he tends to sick and injured followers. If there are no ill followers, he will either paint or go on walks around the cult with his love Ione. Despite his pleas for his younger brother to stop, Leshy loves to jump out and scare Kallamar, who often lets out a high pitched squeal when this happens.

Though their injury has healed, Shamura is still quite forgetful. They keep a notebook in order to write down anything they must do. Even so, Shamura often ends up wandering aimlessly around the cult. At times when they are unsure as to where to go, Shamura will often settle down in the small library that Briar recently built. Occasionally, they end up sleeping in the library after getting wrapped up in a book. In spite of their memory issues, Shamura is incredible at resolving conflicts, and often acts as a mediator in disputes. Above all, they are grateful to Briar for bringing their family back together and making Narinder happy.

These are the five immortal disciples. Ione is rather laid back and gentle; she’s also the oldest of four siblings. Aurum is a silly guy who enjoys working on the farms with Leshy. They have a younger sibling named Sterling. Iram is the first follower and tax enforcer. She’s in charge of the cult when Briar is away. Parade is the loyalty enforcer and often tells jokes. Robert loves to listen to music and hopes to start a theater on the cult grounds and play his clarinet during a show.

Finally, we have the prequel to this au: The Cult of Death. It entails the story of how Narinder ended up in chains and why he began reviving cultists in the first place. The lamb on the left is Meadow, who is a rather sickly but sweet individual. Next to them is their older sibling, Brook. She brought Meadow to Narinder’s cult after their mother died. I’m working on a comic for this, but that will definitely take a long time.
