Some believe that's when the "contract ended" and hybe didn't renew then. So that's why that stuff was published. It was surely resolved by the end of the year though when we got a whole Dispatch photobook.

And I think we haven't had a bad article about BTS from dispatch since. They even posted an article explaining how many people actually get some sort of military perks and exemptions revealing numbers when the whole MS discourse was going on.

And let's not forget the legendary dispatch "hostage concert" that they announced instead of couple reveal a year ago. That lineup was stucked, it was better than MAMA. They collected A-list idols from HYBE, JYP and SM. That's when everyone was sure who was paying and who wasn't.

That was the message of the teaser "There are no perfect secrets in the world."

Bpp! Hope you’re enjoying the vacay! My question is media/promotion related. What kind of relationship do you think BTS have with the Korean media. Dispatch in particular- I’ve seen that they post about the members solo projects. V, in particular, seems to be their favorite with JK a close second. I’ve not had a high opinion of sk or western media with regards to BTS and some of the articles are at a glance ok but when you really read them, they are very snarky. Dispatch though seems to love BTS. Do you think BangPD made a deal with them like what some bloggers say?

Side note: the SM/Hybe/Kakao drama is still not over. Very interesting how it’s all playing out.

Dispatch is kinda like a milder TMZ (milder only because defamation laws can be more swiftly applied than in the US I think) and no, they're not friends with BTS, Bang PD or Hybe. It's generally assumed that Dispatch has contracts with various agencies to cover their idols, and in return we get special products like DICON and DFESTA. That said, it’s possible the agency paid Dispatch to kill bad/anti, or sensitive/controversial news about BTS. That would seem plausible to me, except for the fact Dispatch has carried the most damaging news for the boys for the last 10 years. So, I’m skeptical about that theory.

I agree with you about the Kakao/SM/HYBE drama. It’s so interesting how this is evolving. I’m kinda looking forward to the eventual outcome.

september: most popular: jimin in 2020 favorite: jimin in the soop 2 - i mean, obvious reasons

october: most popular (and one of the favorites): jimin's comforting words - i did this during one day i was needing it so much, and i always turn to this when i'm sad hehe favorite: jimin in gcf bonus: jimin with puppies and kitties

november: i took a break from giffing during this month after 2 consecutives bday countdowns

december: most popular/favorite: joshua bday post - i only made this one, but it was super fun to start giffing for another fandom
