So someone commented on the new update over at Wattpad and it made my heart do a little dance. When I first decided to do a BTS 8th member fic, I had read plenty but the problem for me was - she was always the maknae, the boys always were cutesy with her or there was just continuous shipping between members to the point where you cringed. And at no point could you read the Y/N as a proper woman. No one, apart from one other fic I read, had the 8th member as an older member.

I'm older than Jin so for me to write a cutesy maknae was going to be a problem and I didn't want to do that. The two comments left behind today made me realise I made the right decision.

Thank you so much for this FF. This is really a fresh air for breathe. Finally somewhere where the female character is mature and older.

So you know this thing where people make OCs to put them in kpop groups? Like ATEEZ 9th member, NCT 24th member, BTS 8th member etc it deadass makes me cringe everytime. Like it's fine it totally is fine. But the fact they put female OCs in boygroups. I really am not against co-ed groups, and if they irl would add female or any gender members to the groups it's great I honestly love co-ed groups. But in kpop it just feels so weird and out of place to 'put' a female OC in a boygroup. Like it's a boygroup why can't you make a male oc then 😭 Maybe it has to do with the fact that they ship their OC with the members or that they try to make the OC have an amazing great personality and still receive hate and have a low self esteem. I also find Y/N or OC fanfictions cringe but I know lots and lots and lots of people like them. It's most probably a me thing. Also the low self esteem thing. Sometimes people know they're ultlra good looking but they complain about their looks just to get attention I kind of get that vibe of it. Also its seriously a personal thing that I dont like het stuff because I've been in hetero relationships and those were disasters. Anyways am I the only one thinking of extra member OCs like this?

Omg- SERIOUSLY! I never understood why they would create their female ocs when they could just make her a part of a girl group within HYBE and THEN get her to meet Jungkook (or whatever) that way by bumping into each other as they were walking. It would make MUCH more sense and it would be less cringier to read. Heck, they should make an NCT girl unit where they could meet each other whilst shooting for their NCT U filming. Now THAT’S the kind of thing I’d read since.

Also it’s fine. Y/N stories are usually my weak point and I’d prefer wacky ship stuff that are fun and not too serious. Something where you could get a good laugh out of it instead of something that came from a K-drama. I used to make a lot of parodies for fun but I haven’t made one since last year lol

Aaa- I had someone who was super annoying since they were always fishing for compliments, but never accepts them — especially if they roleplay in text. Also, as someone who has been hurt in the past, I feel that completely. I don’t like women and the feeling of being with one. They would make me so scared that I’d climb on the door to run away from them.

Also… pretty sure you’re not. Go for it, you’d make a fantastic extra member story!

Jia's ships with BTS

Jin aka JiJi

In this ship, you get to see the baby side of Jia that you rarely see. Jia appreciates the way he cheers her up when she feels down. He knows when to listen to her or just cheer her up with his jokes. He took care for her and her sisters when he was also young so she is very thankful of him.

Yoongi aka YoonJi

They are almost like twins. From height to personality. Jia thinks only a few can understand her well. In fact, it is true that she has a very confusing personality but, it wasn't that hard for Yoongi to look through her since he was once where she was too. All in all, this ship is cute. Skinship isn't anything new, they do it all the time even on camera, but you have to look close because they aren't verbal. Fun fact, she was No.39 during her basketball player days. It was a coincidence.

Hoseok brings out Jia's bright side. She loves seeing him smile and so does he. Hoseok likes to baby Jia. As a young trainee, Jia thought he was the best dancer. She looks up to him and his natural leadership. She always want to see him smile and his tears makes her cry too.

Their ship name in Korean is 'Our Universe/우리 우주' which was given by the fans and 'Sun and little Moon' was made by Hoseok and Jia. The fans used 'Our Universe' before they actually made the official ship name but they like the name 'Our Universe/우리 우주' too. Among the Korean fans, 'Our Universe/우리 우주' is used a bit more since 'Sun and little Moon' was made in English but they still use both.

They don't have many interactions on camera but those little moments are really cute. The two are often seen discussing about difficult problems and what goes on their intelligent brains. It was a rare and opposite moment since this ship was really all cute and fluffy. The moment will never be forgotten.

Even when she looks like she hates it, she loves his big bear hugs.

“Okay, I think the delivery guy recognized me but it’s fine...” Sumi carried the bags of takeout into her apartment. “You want to eat now?”

“Yes, please.” Jungkook paused the game. “Can we eat here or do we need to eat at the table?”

“Yah, I happen to be very fun. Of course we’re eating on the couch.” She brought the bags over, setting them on the coffee table. “Help yourself.”

“Thanks, Noona.” Jungkook pulled out his container of noodles. “You’re the best.”

“Yeah, yeah, you’re just saying that because I’m paying.”

“You’re older, you have to.” He grabbed some chopsticks to dig in. “Where did you find this restaurant.”

“Changkyun took me there a few weeks ago.” She answered, grabbing her box of dumplings. “Pretty good, right?”

“Yeah?” He said with his mouthful. “He takes you to lots of restaurants?”

Sumi snorted. “Yeah, Kookie, he takes me to lots of restaurants. We go on dates, so that’s kind of what you do.”

“Any near the movie theatre?” Jungkook tried to sound casual.

It didn’t work. Sumi knew him way too well. The way he looked slightly away from her eyes when he spoke, and how he immediately filled his mouth with noodles was all the give away she needed.

“Some.” She she narrowed her eyes. “Why?”

“I’m going there with a friend tonight.” He answered.

“A friend?” Sumi pursed her lips. “Well, Changkyun takes me to date-type places. You won’t want to go there if you’re just going with a friend.”

“Right.” He looked down. “Yeah, that was stupid of me.”

“Hmmm,” Sumi took a bite of her dumpling. “Who are you going with?”

“Sorry?”

“To the movies. Who are you going with?”

“Um....Mingyu.” He offered. “Why?”

“Just wondering.” Sumi reached up and pulled her ponytail over her shoulder. They ate in silence for a few more minutes, working their way through the takeout. Sumi just watched Jungkook. There was a drop of sweat on the back of his neck, and he wasn’t even reaching to steal one of her dumplings.

She swallowed. “Kookie, can I ask you something?”

“What? Uh....sure.” He looked nervous.

Sumi briefly wondered if she actually wanted to know the answer to her question - if Jimin would smack her if he knew she was even trying to ask it. But she also knew herself, and had to ask it anyways.

“Are you seeing someone?”

“Seeing someone?”

“Like....dating.” She tilted her head. “Are you dating someone?”

He blinked, his eyes widening before he let out an extremely forced laugh. “I-No! What are you....Why would you think that?”

Sumi gave a tiny smile. “I don’t know, I just had a feeling. I guess I was wrong though.”

“Yeah.” He looked down at his noodles. “Because there’s no dating here.”

“But you would tell me, right?” She said earnestly. “If you were dating?”

Jungkook gave a small laugh. “Would you even want to know? I feel like you’d get overprotective or something.”

“Is that a bad thing?” Sumi asked. “And yes, I’d want to know. I’m just looking out for you, you know?”

“I know.” He smiled at her. “I love you, even though you are a little overprotective sometimes.”

“You’d tell me if I was too much.”

“Sure.” He lied.

“Good.” Sumi smiled, feeling satisfied. She held out the last dumpling. “Want to eat it?”

“Obviously.” He grabbed it, popping it in his mouth. “This is why I love you.”

Sumi reached forward and mussed up his hair. “I shouldn’t be eating too much, I’m going to be promoting with Zoey soon.”

“Oh yeah, that group thing.” He chewed. “How is that going?”

“Good, I think.” Sumi leaned back into the couch. “YinYin was added to the group a few days ago.”

He coughed slightly. “The girl that saved you?”

“Yeah.” Sumi nodded. “Honestly I was kinda pissed at Zoey. She just kind of added her without asking me and so I couldn’t ask her to audition or anything without looking like an asshole.”

“Isn’t Zoey the leader though?”

“Yeah, but I’m older.” Sumi gave a light laugh. “Besides, we’re friends. It’s weird for her to do something behind my back.”

“Had you talked about YinYin auditioning?”

“No, but-”

“Then how did she go behind your back? Besides, YinYin is very talented and she’s-”

“I thought you didn’t know much about her.”

“I don’t.” Jungkook said quickly. “But she hung upside down and saved your life. She’s clearly talented.”

“Still, it was irritating.” Sumi crossed her arms. Something about this whole conversation didn’t sit right with her, but she couldn’t figure out what. “But the album is going to be good, so I’m excited about it.”

“That’s good.” Jungkook set his chopsticks down. “I’ll take the garbage out on my way. I’m heading back to the dorm.”

“Why? I thought we were going to finish our Mario Kart tournament?” Sumi sat up, looking as he gathered the bags and moved towards his shoes.

“I have to get back.” He explained. “Taehyung said he would help be get ready for-”

“For?”

“Help me take some pictures for twitter.” He said quickly. “I haven’t posted in a while.”

“Oh, I can take pictures for you.” She offered.

“Thanks, Noona. But I’m borrowing some of his clothes. I’ll see you later?”

“You coming back tonight?”

“I’ll be out late with...”He trailed off.

“Mingyu?”

“Right.” He nodded. “But I’ll see you tomorrow?”

“Yeah, sure.” Sumi sunk into the couch. “See ya.”

“Love you, Noona.”

“Love you too.”

She watched as the door closed behind him, staring at the space where he had been.

She shook her head. It was nothing. She was being overprotective and annoying. He would tell her if he was dating anyone.

She sighed, grabbing her phone and dialling the first contact.

“Girlfriend.” Was how Changkyun answered.

“Boyfriend.” She smiled. “You busy? Because I just had the weirdest conversation with Jungkook and I need to talk about it.”

“As long as you don’t mention whatever has Zoey in a pissy mood.” He told her. “Yeah, I’m all ears.”

“Good. I’m just getting this really weird vibe...”

The One with the Polaroids

pairing: jungkook x nobi

summary: whilst cleaning their closet, nobi stumbles upon a box that she thought she lost 5 years ago

to say the least, it was dirty.

ever since they moved in 2 years ago, the dorm hasn’t been properly cleaned because they were either too busy with touring or too lazy to do it. but it has gotten to the point where they actually were willing to clean everything. part of the reason might’ve been the boredom and the need to do something productive and the other reason could be that they would like to grab something without dusting it off first.

nobi and jungkook first started cleaning their room and around their beds. with having the biggest room in the dorm, they took a while to fully dust, vaccum, and throw away random garbage they found either under their beds or under their desks.

“ew, kook, why is there a banana milk box here?” she whined in disgust when she saw it under his bed.

jungkook merely shrugged and continued wiping the windows. “i don’t know. probably had a late snack.”

“dear god, jeon jungkook, we have a trash can for a reason!” she chided but he just turned to give her a grin.

“sorry.”

sighing, she got up from the floor and fluffed up the millions of pillows on her bed before grabbing the broom to sweep under her own bed. there was just paper balls and socks in the mix but she noticed a hoodie that she thought she really lost forever ago.

“oh my god!” nobi squealed and picked it up, examining it. it looked the same except it just had dust bunnies. “my stussy jacket!”

jungkook finished his job and looked over to what she was squealing for and gave her a look. “you mean my stussy jacket?”

laughing at his question, nobi walked over to him and patted his cheek. “sharing is caring, bub.”

a knock from their bedroom door made her go and answer it, finding jin at the other side.

“just saying that we have all the washers running so you might wait a while to run your guys’ stuff,” jin explained causing her to pout.

“this is why i keep saying that we should buy another. it’s a hassle with only 5 washers,” she pouted. jin smiled before ruffling her hair.

“once one of them is done, i’ll tell you.”

jungkook picked up a striped sock before tossing it to his laundry basket so that it could be washed. it baffled him of how many socks he has, considering he walks around the house barefoot.

once jin left, nobi went to their closet and opened the door, revealing the tons of clothing hanging on both top and bottom. it was split into 2 sections with jungkook’s and her clothing separate. but honestly, there was no use as she used his clothing most of the time.

“hey, jungkook, should we wash all of our clothes? i mean, some of these haven’t been washed in several months. probably, since we moved,” she said.

he followed her inside and went to the very back of the closet, noticing that there was actually dust on the shoulder of one of his jackets. he took it off the long bar and examined it, forgetting he even owned it.

“do you remember this jacket, bub?” he asked making nobi look at him.

she looked at it and furrowed her eyebrows before shaking her head no. “i don’t think i’ve seen it before.”

“hm, maybe we should donate some of our clothes that we don’t own anymore. its good to give to those who need it rather than letting it sit here.”

nobi looked at him, shocked. “wah, jeon jungkook! you sounded so mature just now!”

he rolled his eyes and shoved her shoulder to hide the redness of his cheeks. “shut up. i’m always mature.”

she grabbed a big laundry basket for them to put their clothes in and they placed the hangers back on its place. nobi was amazed at how big their closet was and how small it felt when they it used to cramped with clothing. as they neared the end of the line, she saw a few boxes on the very back corner that looked like its never been touched.

she crouched in front of it and inspected it to see her handwriting, ‘2015′. lifting the boxes individually, she placed it by the foot of her bed and got out a pocket knife to cut through the packing tape that sealed it shut. jungkook noticed her with the boxes and sat on her bed as she wrenched the cardboard box open.

inside, there were many little trinkets from what looked to be tickets to a movie, a shonen jump magazine, a red jacket, and a smaller box at the bottom. carefully placing the stuff on top of her bed, she pulled out the black box and she felt a familiarity with it.

“ah! that box!” jungkook pointed. she looked at him in confusion.

“this?” she held up before lifting the lid open, finding an old polaroid camera with different pictures.

nobi held up the black and white object and blew the dust away, making jungkook cough as it was directed as his face. he made a sound of surprise but she paid him no mind, fingers reaching for the polaroids that were a mix of colored and black and white.

“did i... did i forget about these?” she whispered, hurt and angry at herself for not remembering about these precious memories.

“to be honest, i even forgot about it. maybe the members too,” he reassured.

there was one from her birthday. in the bottom, it was written, ‘nov 7 2014′ while the picture was of her with icing all over her face and carrying the birthday cake. she had a wide grin on her face and a party hat on her head.

“oh my god.. i remember these now,” she quietly stated. “this was one of the things that i took with me when i became a trainee. it was originally my mum’s.”

jungkook softly smiled at her and he gently grabbed her hand to sit on the bed where she was situated between his legs with her back against his chest. he rested his chin on her shoulder while she sifted through several more pictures.

all of these were the memories of her youth yet they were sealed away in a box, only to be found years later.

as much as there were pictures of her members, jungkook was in most of them. from the simplest things like catching him staring at the camera to the happier things like their picnic in Han river that one night. he was present in almost all of the pictures and the camera lens was most familiar of his face.

nobi took a minute to fully look at this picture of her and kook where they were both lounging on her top bunk with their backs against the wall and her head on his shoulder while his rested on top of hers. the light hit them perfectly and the white walls shined the setting sun behind them. she remembered asking tae to take the picture and them fearing for their lives when their combined weight rattled the bed with the slightest movement. they both wore white and both of their hair was as messy as it could be.

it was labeled, ‘may 8 2014′, in black sharpie marker.

“god, my bare face was so bad back then.” her complaints made jungkook gently pinch her side.

“you were and have never been ugly.”

she turned her head to look at him, “yah, remember when i forgot to wash my face for 2 days and suddenly acne popped out of nowhere?”

he laughed and hugged her tighter. “you were forgetful. actually, still is. and you were too busy practicing in the studio to remember that you needed to take care of yourself too.”

a sad smile slowly replaced her grin, “but when i did remember, there was no cleanser left. i didn’t have money to buy more so i just endured it.”

“i think i used it all up. does my apology still count today?” he playfully asked to lighten her mood.

but the pain didn’t leave. “i remembered begging my parents for money. i wanted to have enough money to take care of all of us and put the company’s money to the music video.”

jungkook grew silent as she relived the time in their past where they struggled financially. it was a time where they almost disbanded because of their lack of money and not being financially stable enough to create their mv.

“i took the last bit of money i had to go to Jeju and i threw all my shame out of the window by asking them for more money. taehyung cried because he was hungry but we already spent our food money for the month. the imo from the restaurant has fed us so many times and never asked anything in return. that was when i knew i had to do something,” said nobi. “our manager was already doing so much for us and i didn’t want to ask for more.”

she never told him or the members this so he stared at her, sad and slightly upset that she burdened herself so early on. jungkook could faintly remember her disappearing for a few days and turning up a few days later with food from the convenience store. the angry outburst from yoongi being so worried for her still echoes in his memory to this day.

“i didn’t want all of our hard work to go to waste. i knew if we didn’t have any money, we would be forced to break up and i didn’t want to leave you guys. even if they didn’t help us, i wanted to think that i did everything i can to keep us together and i fought every battle with my all. we were just starting and the thought of it ending so quickly scared me.”

“we fought those battles and we won them all, nobi. we won them together,” he soothed. jungkook could feel her relax into his chest and he placed a kiss on her hair to remind her that he is there for her.

“god, i just brought the mood down, didn’t i?” she laughed. jungkook shook his head no.

“hm, no. you’ve always kept these things to yourself and never speak out whenever you have troubles. so, hearing you talk about this makes me happy because i feel like you’re finally opening up to me, bub.”

nobi swung her legs so she was able to look at him and wrapped her arms around his neck, softly tugging at the hair at the nape of his neck. jungkook looked down at her with a curious smile while he rested his hand on her knee, caressing it gently.

“nah, i like keeping these things to myself. it gives me the mysterious vibes that i want. when people get curious about you, that’s when they instinctively stick around to try and figure you out. it’s like i’m running away and you’re after me to finally figure me out. i try to play hard to get,” she countered.

he chuckled before bumping her forehead with his. “is that why i’m still with you?”

“the chase is not over yet, jeon jungkook-ssi.”

“then i’ll chase you till it is.”

....

with their cleaning tools scattered around the floor and previous intention of laundry wiped from their minds, they spent the next few hours using up the leftover film in the camera. nobi tried to make it as aesthetically pleasing as possible with her posing on the bed with a fake rose or jungkook standing by the window.

“wah, i feel bad for ARMY who can’t have these pictures. maybe we should post them?” she curiously asked while waiting for the picture to develop. he blanched at her question.

“yah, these are too intimate to be revealed to hundreds of millions of people in the internet!” he bursted causing her to laugh out loud. he sat up from the bed as he was previously laying, thinking of different picture ideas.

“i know. im just teasing. its cute to see you so jealous,” she smirked.

jungkook pouted and tutted. “i’m not jealous. i just try to help and look out for your innocent image.”

nobi walked towards him from the window and stood between his legs, jungkook loosely holding her hips. she pushed the hair that was covering his forehead and placed a soft kiss on it.

“i think we all know that concept has been out of the window since we turned legal.”

1. G-dragon&Shizuka: “King&Queen” (Zaragon/Jizuka)

Jiyong and Shizuka met during her trainee days at YG Entertainment. She was only 19 years old and trained as a dancer. Our Jiyong fell in love with little Shizuka.Their first date was very simple. He took her to a traditional Korean restaurant to taste typical Seoul dishes. They kissed for the first time in Namsan Park. The kiss was tender and affectionate.They started to have a secret relationship. Their relationship lasted three years just before Shizuka's debut. Yang Hyun-suk, the boss of the YG entertainment was aware of their relationship. For YG, shizuka is an angel fallen from the sky. When fans first saw Shizuka with G-dragon. They thought she could be the only woman who can controls the Dragon.

2. T.O.P&Shizuka “Romeo&Juliette” (iZatop/ ShiSeung)

Shizuka met T.O.P while filming 71. into fire. She had asked G-dragon to see how a movie unfolds. She was the one who took care of T.O.P when he was injured in the eye. At first, he didn’t want to, but she still insisted on taking him to the doctor's. His doctor diagnosed him with an eye injury and told him that if Shizuka was not there to apply first aid relief his bruise to his left eye had been a little deeper, he would be blind.Since that day, he owes his life to Shizuka and falls madly in love with the young woman. Shizuka wasn’t very sure of this relationship and T.O.P did everything to make her girl happy. As a result, they announced their relationship to Jiyong who was already in a relationship with the girl. At first, he wasn’t very happy. T.O.P and G-dragon competed for Shizuka's heart and finally Shizuka offered to live together to avoid destroying the group. They bought a house in one of Seoul's upscale neighborhoods.

It is shizuka who will introduce the future wife of Taeyang. Shizuka became very friendly with Min Hyo-rin during her studies. She was bridesmaid during their wedding. Taeyang and Shizuka were like the moms and dads of the group. They are always behind the members. When Shizuka was with GD and T.O.P, she was still there to calm them when they started arguing. She liked Taeyang very much,He is her best confidant.

4. Dae-sung & Shizuka “The best friends” ( ShiDae/ D-Za)

On May 31, 2011 around 1:40 am Daesung was involved in a serious car accident. According to police reports, Daesung hit a biker who was already lying on the ground, victim of a previous accident a few minutes earlier. The biker had indeed hit a lamppost while driving while intoxicated. Two cars in front of Daesung's saw the body and were able to avoid it, but Daesung didn’t see it. The biker is dead. After a month of investigation, Daesung was first charged with manslaughter and speeding. The YG announced in late June 2011 that Daesung's activities will be suspended until at least 2012. Daesung was very affected by this story. He remained locked in his room night and day, refusing to speak to anyone. Upon learning this news, shizuka helped the young man a lot to overcome this ordeal. She tried to cheer the young man up by telling him we only live once. Listening to Shizuka's advice, he apologized to the family who was very understanding and paid all funeral expenses. Thanks to the strength and determination of Shizuka, August 25, 2011 he is definitely cleared. All the evidence of Shizuka, The inspector in charge of the investigation announces that the evidence doesn’t make it possible to define whether the rider died as a result of his first accident or after being hit by the car of the singer. It has been established, however, that Daesung wasn’t driving under the influence of alcohol at the time of the accident

5. SeungRi&Shizuka “ Mother&Son” (ShiRi/ ViZa)

When Shizuka was introduced to all members of the group by Jiyong, Shizuka became very attached to the youngest member. For her, he is and will always be the lost boy. She is the one who will help him impress Yang Hyun Suk for his last chance. Without the young woman, he would never be so successful in the k-pop industry. Like the other members, they think that shizuka is a goddess of music coming to help them. She has always been there to support them even during her trainee days at Big Hit. For her, SeungRi is lacking affection. It's his little boy.

Author's note: I want to start with this group because it's thanks to them that I knew the world of K-pop with Fantastic Baby even if the first on board was Psy with Gangnam Style. I am very sad with what is happening for Seungri but for me it shows that even the IDOL of Kpop are HUMAN TOO . Have a good reading!

part i. sm doesn't give a crap

The first headline that began the rollercoaster of emotions for ARMYs and EXO-Ls dropped on September 3rd, 2021. The news reported EXO member, Oh Sehun, has been in a long-term relationship with another high-profile idol since February 2018, the identity of said celebrity could not be disclosure by the source, yet it had said to be a female singer some years younger than Sehun and equally influential.

This news was never followed by a statement from SM, but EXO fans weren't ready to drop the subject and began speculating if it was real and who the idol could be. Blinks, ARMYs and Onces also got invested in the topic as more evidence began rising up.

Around September 5th, some alleged ex-SM and BigHit staff began speaking up on online forums with evidence that could tie Sehun and Sunny together.

part ii. hybe has entered the chat

On September 7th, BigHit Entertainment puts out a statement confirming BTS's Seon Sunny to be in a relationship with EXO's Oh Sehun. It was said both idols would like to continue to keep their privacy in regard to the relationship.

Bang SiHyuk was on the edge of a hurricane, trying to tie the knots and get the news outlets he had been paying since 2019 to not expose Sunny as a taken person. With the associations and different sources coming forward that linked Sehun to the BTS member, BigHit decided to confirm it.

part iii. d*spatch gets fed up

On September 8th, Dispatch releases a series of pictures taken in the spawn of 2018-2020. The photographs show the couple leaving their respective agencies together, at the airport, entering each other’s apartment complexes. One of them even portrayed them arriving at Sunny’s mom’s house, outside of Seoul.

The news’ outlet confirmed they’ve been together since late 2017. And called out BigHit Labels (now renamed HYBE Labels) for not following through with their contract, which kept all the information regarding their idol a secret, as well as gave Dispatch the right to be the one to publish it after the Company saw fit.
