Someone on another site was offering to read webnovel chapters to practice voice acting, and I offered mine up. So, here's most of the first chapter of Galactiquest in audiobook form!
Hearing this is so cool! I'm super happy with the results. The narrator is TotalDeathAnnihilation, and there's other videos like this up on their channel. Feel free to check them out!

The Celestion-5's new crew member is causing quite the commotion, just in time for some birthdays. With one birthday boy dejected and the other missing, how will the rest of the crew be able to handle these changes? (Galactiquest Arc 1: Moon, Episode 12)
Emil practically flew down the stairs as soon as Lorenzo looked away from him. Another flight and a half of stairs later, he found himself standing in front of the incinerator room. He shook the nerves out of his hands before opening the door.
Hot air blasted him in the face. The fire had been going for over 30 minutes in a cramped, dark room, heating it up to an unbearable degree. A lone figure stood inside, watching his life go up in the flames.

The Celestion-5's eighth member has finally arrived, carrying a backpack and many surprises! Most surprising of all is though he's new, he's not new to everyone... (Galactiquest Arc 1: Moon, Episode 11)
So this was the spaceport. A crowded, disorienting mess that would’ve sent his anxiety through the roof if it hadn’t already left the stratosphere. He saw himself in the floor’s reflection, fearful, bloodshot eyes pried open by a days-long adrenaline rush. He had to keep running. From his old life, the issues that came from it, and the weakling in the mirror. Maybe the police, too? He didn’t know for sure and didn’t want to stick around long enough to find out.
The Celestion-5 would be his ticket out. It’d give him time to transform into an independent young man his family could actually be proud of. After all, it’d be pretty tough to bring him back home when he’s gone to Neptune!

Mia experiences Earth for the first time as the Celestion-5 makes a pit stop. Many surprises come her way, some good, some... not so much. How will this bookworm fare in the wild?? (Galactiquest Arc 1: Moon, Episode 10)
Mia let Roxie squirt sunscreen into her hands, not bringing up the fact that the sun still could be seen from the Moon, because it was nothing like this. This time, Mia could feel it. Was this just normal to everyone else?
“Everyone’s going to be watching your reactions! Just like when I first went to space.” Leon smiled as if that was in any way comforting. Maybe to him.
“You! Next!” Roxie thrust the bottle in his hands
“Yeah, you’re the star today, Mia!” Emil stretched. “There’s really no place like Earth, so watching you experience it all should be fun for everyone.” He turned to his brother. “Can’t we just stay here until the new guy shows up? It’ll only be a week or so, and we got nothin’ else to do.”
“That would disrupt the spaceport.” responded Captain Galhardo, walking ahead of the rest. “We’re just here to pick up a fuel shipment from the nearby base.”

After testing out experimental technology, Captain Galhardo has disappeared. But on a ship as small as the Celestion-5, it’s hard for secrets to be kept too long. Leon and Roxie aim to uncover the few there are! Also, they kinda need a captain to run a ship... (Galactiquest Arc 1: Moon, Episode 9)
He shook his head. “Do you see the three lights to the top-right?”
“Yea--wait, I only have two now.” noticed Summers.
“Because you sustained a hit.”
The captain floated out of the way of his brother’s next pattern, a stream of orbs firing out from him in four directions, titled ‘I Made This 2.’
“Once the lights are all gone, you’ve failed the simulation, but if you can survive each offense pattern with at least one left, the pattern maker loses a light instead.”
“Ohhhh!” Summers followed suit. “So it’s like hit points! If I lose them all, I die, and then I have to start over.”
“That’s a dramatic way of putting it, but yes.”
“But if I don’t die, then he takes a hit!”

Bon Voyage, Celestion-5!
Blast off with the crew of the Celestion-5 as they start their journey to Neptune! Get to know them as they get to know each other. Things don't go off without a hitch or two, but hey, when do they ever?
(Galactiquest Arc 1: Moon, Episode 1)
“Here we are!” Emil bowed and gracefully rolled out an arm toward the room. “This is the loading deck, where we load things and people.”
Leon didn’t budge.
The lieutenant nudged him along. “C’mon, don’t be shy!”
Leon took a few steps forward. He now stood in the Celestion-5.
“I… I’m here. I’m standing in a real, actual spaceship!” He tapped the floor with his foot a few times to make sure it was real. A large mirror on the wall reflected his joy from a distance.
“We are!” A smile rivalling Leon’s spread to Emil’s face, revealing a chipped tooth. “Is this your first time on one?”
“Yeah…!”
He rubbed his hands together. “Well, aren’t you in for a treat? [...]"

Sight for Four Eyes
Now has come the time to train with jet armor! For safety reasons, everyone needs to partner up, leading to quite an unlikely pair. Can Mia, a closed-off recluse, manage to get along with the sociable Leon? Stay tuned!
(Galactiquest Arc 1: Moon, Episode 2)
Mia smiled in return, neither agreeing nor disagreeing with the bucktoothed ranger. He seemed eager to get to know her, but she was eager to not be known. This would be a problem. From her experience, these types tended to be the most persistent, and while that worked with Roxie, Mia remained apprehensive.
“I can’t wait to try out the jet armor!” continued Leon. “Unless you wanna go first. The captain did say we should probably choose now.”
“He did?” Great. More important info missed. “You can go first!” she conceded. Mia wasn’t too experienced with the jet armor, and having a stranger watch her flounder in space didn’t sound like her idea of a good day.
“Thank you so much!” Leon’s enthusiasm felt palpable. “This has been on my bucket list for years!”
“No problem.” Mia smiled, genuinely this time.

Mingling on the Moon
The Celestion-5 take their first trip to the Moon for a special briefing! They try to make a good impression, but not everyone gives them the respect they're looking for.
(Galactiquest Arc 1: Moon, Episode 8)
Leon Summers found himself face-first on the Moon’s surface. In his excitement to take his first steps on new land, he tripped over a rock. It’s okay though. Reduced gravity made his landing a soft one. Besides, he couldn’t be more happy to exist!
“You okay there, Rookie?” The lieutenant captain’s words clicked in over his headset.
“I’ve never been better!”

Life in Orbit
The Celestion-5 crew are just getting settled into their new life, yet some crewmembers' bonds are already strong! Others... are a work in process.
(Galactiquest Arc 1: Moon, Episode 3)
[...]As the silence progressed from acceptable to awkward, only a miracle could save her now.
A box of miracles emerged through the airlock’s doors. Sort of, it struggled quite a bit. Its carrier’s trademark blond afro poked out from behind it.
“Good morning, Emil!” Leon greeted the lieutenant captain.
“M...Morning!” Emil strained.
“Lieutenant, do you need help with that?” Mia rose from her seat. Leon also started toward the lieutenant.
Before either could reach him, he set down the box, slumping over dramatically.
“Phew~ I may not have worked out since high school, but I’ve still got it!” He flexed one arm, winking at the other two.
Mia laughed to herself. “But didn’t you just graduate…” a concerning realization dawned on her mid-sentence, “...a few… weeks ago?”
“Yep!” His answer rang with confidence. He struggled to lift up the box again, so instead, he pushed it over to Leon with his foot. “So, what’cha guys up to?”

Oh yeah, shoot, dang I keep forgetting to mention this, but I’m working on Galactiquest #8. The first chapter should be done soon, but I don’t know if I’ll be able to post it by this weekend.
In the meantime, here’s the first seven, in case you feel like catching up!
1. Bon-Voyage, Celestion-5!
2. Sight for Four Eyes
3. Life in Orbit
4. Overworked
5. Maintenance with Roxie and Mia
6. A Very Special Announcement
7. Stargazing
If you want a series about space, friendship, friendship in space, socially awkward astronauts, and humor (so I’ve been told), Galactiquest is a series where you can find those things! So if you have the spare time and want to check it out, I would really appreciate it!

So would they!

Stargazing
At 4:30 in the morning, Lorenzo has to face one of his deepest fears: social interaction. Can the captain of the Celestion-5 overcome his anxieties?
(Galactiquest Arc 1: Moon, Episode 7)
“Lieutenant Captain Galhardo, there’s something that needs your attention upstairs.” Lorenzo ordered. That was his way of discretely telling his brother to go to bed; he wanted to keep up the illusion that at least one captain was awake at any hour of the day. No one must know about the two-hour window where both were asleep. Lorenzo shuddered to think what his crew would do if they knew they were unsupervised.
Emil weakly saluted. “Aye, aye, Captain Lorie...”
Lorenzo didn’t respond.
“I mean, Captain Galhardo.”
Lorenzo nodded in approval. He and his subordinate watched as Emil trudged his way up the stairs. The captain wished he could tell his brother to get a good night’s rest, but that would defeat the purpose of coding his words. He tried to think of something else to say.
“Lieutenant captain!” Lorenzo commanded.
“.....Huh?”
“Do your best on this task. I’m counting on you.”
With a chuckle, Emil gave a thumbs up in response. Good, he understood. The younger captain finally disappeared into the brothers’ shared room.

A Very Special Announcement
One member of the Celestion-5 has an announcement to make. Though they worry it'll drive the crew apart, it might bring them together in a way never anticipated.
(Galactiquest Arc 1: Moon, Episode 6)
Jun cracked their knuckles, apprehensively surveying their four coworkers. In front of them, Roxie gave them a bright smile, Aiden looked completely uninterested in what was going on, and Mia stood alert, trying to ignore Leon’s attempts to get her attention. To the right of Jun stood the two captains, with Emil giving a thumbs up, and Lorenzo mentally preparing to address his crew.
“You have been called here because Ranger Kim has a special announcement to make.” He turned to Jun. “Start whenever you’re ready.”
Lorenzo politely nodded to Jun and backed away, along with Emil. The barren teal walls of the meeting room echoed only silence.
“You got this, Jun!” the latter whispered while finger-gunning.
Jun gave a nervous smile to Emil and cleared their throat.
 “...Uhhhhhhhhhhhhh, hey guys.”
“Hi, Jun!” Leon greeted.
“Hiiiii~!” sang Roxie
“Hello.” Mia replied.
Aiden waved exactly once.

Boarding for Takeoff (on Wattpad) https://my.w.tt/LkYgsBaqB3
Meet Leon, a newly recruited star ranger eager to  board the spaceship to his first deployment. Unfortunately for him, he is very trusting and bad at directions.
(Arc 1: Moon, Episode 0)
“Excuse me, can you direct me to the Celestion boarding area?”
“Head straight and uhhhh, make a left at the-- wait, you said you were going to the Celestion units?”
“Yes!” The young star ranger gives a nod. “It’s my first deployment, actually! I can’t wait to take off for space!”
“Woah, woah, there kiddo. You look like you’re going to explode with excitement!”
“I might!” The brunet laughs, revealing a set of bucked teeth.

Maintenance with Roxie and Mia
Roxie learns the secrets of the ship's generator through a leisurely chat with a friend.
(Galactiquest Arc 1: Moon, Episode 5)
The Interstellar Forces was known for being the safest of the military branches, which gave her a sense of security in thinking that she wouldn’t have to deal with any emergencies. Now was different. She found herself in charge of six other lives without even the qualifications to be a nurse, and she didn’t feel as secure anymore. If she had chosen another path, would it have stressed her out less? Whatever the case, Roxie knew what she must do now: Find something else to think about!
“Hey Mia, do you---?”
Roxie’s tap on the shoulder startled the other star ranger, making her drop the stick into the pipe.
“Oh no, I’m so sorry!” Roxie panickedly apologized.
“No worries, I got it!” Mia reassured. She stuck her gloved fingers in the pipe, feeling around for the stick. It sunk further and further into the horizontal piping below, and out of her grasp. “Okay, maybe I don’t got it... Oh nooo, we’re going to have to take this whole thing apart!” She hangs her head back in defeat.
“Not if I have anything to say about it!”

Overworked
Emil is putting in hard work on the Celestion-5, but on the brink of burnout, is hard work more detrimental than helpful? If only there were someone to help him.
(Galactiquest Arc 1: Moon, Episode 4)
The lieutenant snapped out of his daze to notice their eyes on him. He realized he hadn’t said anything to them yet. That wasn’t like the enthusiastic lieutenant captain they knew. He feared they would find out something was wrong; he had to say something quick!
“Heeey guys! How are you all doing on this fine day...or night? Hard to tell in space, hahaa.” Oof. That sounded way more lethargic than he hoped. So much for enthusiasm.
