Backstory: Emma had heard of the renowned Armed Detective Agency before but never thought she'd ever end up joining them. She grew up a normal kid. She moved from America to Japan when she was just a baby. She was the only child of a middle-class family. Her life was nothing special. That was until a fateful encounter with Dazai and Atsushi. Dazai tried to convince Emma to commit double suicide with him, which started a conversation between Emma and Atsushi about his weirdo of a superior, and he mentioned the Detective Agency in passing. After that, they went their separate ways. Until a week later, when Emma and Atsushi's paths crossed again during the train bombing. Emma happened to see Atsushi save Kyoka. That lit a spark in Emma. She had been trying to get into the arts with no avail. Nothing was working for her. But seeing what Atsushi did made her realize her calling. She put in her application to join the agency, passed her test, and became an official member of the Armed Detective Agency.

Personality: Emma is stubborn and sassy, always speaks her mind, is loyal, helpful, and empathetic.

Who is still fresh in the Agency and internally contemplating on running away again like she did with the Guild; not at all used to the kindness of everyone and believing her abilities will be exploited again if she lets her guard down. He isn’t aware of it, explaining his surprise by her sudden tears and embrace 🥺

My favorite type of Dazai/ Dazai head canon is that he thinks he’s the controller in a relationship but it’s actually the opposite and he’s just a lovesick fool that would do anything to get his S/O’s attention.

They seem focused on something else? Almost instantly Dazai feels his hands twitch with the worst withdrawal of his life. His need to be wanted by something in this shitty life causing him to bend backwards and say even the most shameless things to get you to focus on him again.

And you know that everyone around you tries to warn you about the demon, fearing that Dazai is manipulating you because of his twisted past but you have this boy so wrapped around your finger that if you ever did tell him to do something, he wouldn’t even hesitate. He would kill for you if you truly desired it. Man has absolutely no shame.

The first time he allows you to change his bandages becomes like a drug for him, so much so that Dazai resorts to “accidentally” spilling coffee on them everyday just so he can have your soft gentle fingers cradle him and treat him like the most precious thing in the universe. For once he feels protected for the first time, he can never go back.

Before you Dazai would always remain in power, especially in terms of intimate relationships, always priding himself as the seducer but never becoming the seduced. He strives in being the puppeteer but after every kiss with you he finds himself begging for more, even getting on his knees if it means he can taste that sweet piece of heaven one more time.

For Dazai may claim that he is in control but I think we all know who really holds the reigns on the demon, and it isn’t him. 🤭

because amenogozen is a 4 dimensional being, and cannot be killed solely by attacking it in the 3d space, the combination of atsushi's claws, which can "deny even amenogozen's dimensional detachment" and akutagawa's rashomon spatial distortion, is the only thing viable for killing amenogozen. which is why months ago when everyone on social media was saying that sskk was cooked and that they needed skk back as soon as possible I wanted to (remembers that threatening a person's life over animanga fandom is embarrassingly immature) send them a strongly worded email

Just a reminder that Nakajima Atsushi of Bungou Stray Dogs is my special guy, and anyone who says he's a bad protagonist and/or that the protagonist should've been Dazai can catch the pointy end of my sword.

idc if you think he's annoying. If Dazai were the protagonist(and I say this as a huge Dazai fan) I guarantee people would find him annoying. Because people are never pleased and need something to bitch about.

Atsushi is messy, he is a bitch, he is morally grey, he is kind, he's a kid and his world is constantly falling down around him. And he is the best choice for bsd's protagonist.

Tbh I kinda dislike the "character name x reader headcanons: they leave you for a man/woman/another character" type of posts like I know they're just jokes sometimes but it reads as making fun of selfshippers for being "cringe, delusional etc" or just left a bad taste in my mouth to me so I can't stand it now :/
