hey. guess what. more Human Abilities AU, starring the Armed Detective Agency!

Kunikida's first up, with Matchless Poet/Doppo Poet (I don't know which one's right-), or just "Poet"! Poet is much like Kunikida, wanting to keep up with work and having an organized and well maintained scheduled. But while Kunikida scolds the others for slacking off, Poet is more kinder with his words. Still has the scary factor though when the others push it, and definitely if they mess with his organization. That's his thing, organization. Mess with it, and you'll end up with a binder at the face. Regardless of his scary factor, Poet is more or less the diligent and caring big brother when it comes to his voice claim. ex: maybeee (goodness voice claims are hard when you have a itty bitty mind and you dont know much voices-) "L. Lawliet" from Death Note.

Ranpo's Super/Ultra Deduction, or Suiri! (going with romaji for some of these-) Suiri is as much as a smarty as they are a foodie. And while they have the same confidence in their deductions like Ranpo, Suiri is a actually a lot more mellow and quiet about their accomplishments which correlates to the fact that Ranpo doesn't actually have an ability. Sometimes they wonder why they're still around when they're at their lowest, but the rest make it an every day occurrence to make them feel needed. Hey, at least they know their way back to the agency. But some thing's for sure when it comes to their voice claim. They have Ranpo's sass and shoot-backs. ex: Nagisa from Assassination Classroom.

Yosano's Thou Shalt Not Die, Kochou(a less common name meaning "butterfly", the other being just "cho")! She is very much similar to Yosano as a feminist and a very independent woman that need no man. But in the sense, she does more of the dirty work. She's not afraid in getting her hands dirty. But even then, she knows beauty just like her iridescent butterflies when she sees it, more or less giving her an elegant but straightforward voice claim. Not as sadistic, but it's still in that scary factor that a single unamused and threatening stare could have many sit down and wait for their demise if she were to unleash such on them. ex: Lust from Full Metal Alchemist (at this point, im just going through random tiktoks of voice claims to figure something out qwq)

Kenji's Undefeated by Rain, or just... Rain! Rain a literal carbon copy of Kenji, with a bit more knowledge about city life... but somehow still not enough. Very much a social butterfly and polite just like Kenji, if not somewhat more mature than the boy. One poignant thing about Rain, though, is his strong nature of not wanting to hurt, so he's actually a pacifist. In a way, he is in the back lines when it comes to things, acting as defense more than offense which Kenji is. But similar to Kenji, if someone were to try and tilt that, Rain won't hesitate and punch someone a block or four back. And for his voice claim, taking to account that he's a but more mature but still golden hearted and he knows where he stands in situations. ex: Lune from The Cat Returns.

Kyouka and Demon Snow, or Shirayuki (romaji once more). Now Shirayuki is different from the others. The reason being is because she was previously Kyouka's mother's ability. Her phantom takes after her mother. With one last order given from her, Shirayuki is immensely protective of Kyouka, acting more or less like a mother-figure in place of Kyouka's. And really, the phantom resembles her mother, and it brings her comfort. So in a way, Shirayuki will take after Kyouka's mother. A nice and loving woman but can be silent and deadly with the help of her katana. But after being linked with Kyouka, she began taking after Kyouka's straightforwardness. Basically motherly for her voice claim. ex: well... Kyouka's mother from Bungou Stray Dogs.

Tanizaki and Light Snow, or just Snow! Snow has that strong familiarity sense, she is very much like the big sister to both Tanizaki and Naomi, and is more or less confused at their antics and a bit concerned, she's just glad they're close (she does not know the full extent). Snow is basically the only one besides a few notable others that have normal braincells in the agency, a good balance of work and having a bit of fun in the office. And similar to Tanizaki, can be ruthless when she wants to be (or if someone hurts her family [that includes the agency too]). And surprisingly, she gets along with everyone, ESPECIALLY Byakko, which often than not shocks most. Because if anything, Byakko is close with Shirayuki and whatever is going on with Rashomon. ex: Sisu from Raya and the Last Dragon. Taking into account about the braincells but also the fact that she somewhat acts similarly to Tanizaki

And you know what, have a Katai with... "Futon". Hm. A bit of a change to the alternate name, "The Quilt", and we now have Quill! Quill, the poor man, is a hopeless romantic. And compared to Katai, he goes out. He touches grass. While Katai is an information broker, Quill is more or less the hacker to get the more restricted information. it's for the greater good, promise! While being a hopeless romantic, Quill is more encouraging and keep seeing the days ahead. Mellow and mature, but he can and will drag Katai to go outside and bet the stray cat at the end of the block, or go to a hole in the wall shop for some deadly good dinner. ex: Joe Gardner from Soul

And last but certainly not least, Fukuzawa and All Men Are Equal. Or in romaji, Hito! Hito is a fair and balanced man, and while Fukuzawa has his agency, Hito watches over the agency's abilities. He takes care of them and spends time with them, a silent father figure moving around as he mostly keeps to both Kochou and Suiri, but he won't hesitate to help the agency members when they need the president's opinion but the man isn't in at the time. One thing, though, about Hito. Hito is silent. Silent. No one, not even Fukuzawa, has heard the man talk. But just his presence, his aura, and his acts, it's enough comfort to help them. And if someone were to try and hurt his found family, he won't hesitate and return to old ways and hurt the perpetrator back.

concept: ADA!Chuuya, but All Men Are Equal gave him total control of his ability by stabilizing it and getting rid of his permanent singularity, so he reverted to his original power: enhancing others' abilities.

Random Kunikida Thought

What if before he was under the influence of All Men Are Equal anything Kunikida wrote appeared in real life.

So if he wrote something on a large piece of paper then he could summon large objects or if the size was unspecified, (like a ball can be any size) it would be the dimensions of the paper or surface he wrote on, say like a chalkboard. 

Imagine baby Kuni learning how to write and stuff just keeps materialising out of nowhere and using his ability so much is draining him alot. It took him longer than average to learn to write because of this. 

His parents were panicking TM. Kunikida was put in homeschool after an incident where he materialised a bird and it started attacking the teacher who had struck it with a broom and ended up killing it, and this freaked his classmates out. 

From then on he always had to be very careful about the kanji he used and not to materialise a cat instead of a bat. (I don't know Japanese so I don't know which words can be easily confused with each other) 

Then they figured out that if he misspelt something it wouldn't materialise so he was just having to misspell something by one letter or leave out characters if he couldn't risk changing the spelling.

Then as he got older he got a computer and it was the best day of life because he could now type out all his notes and join regular school.

That's why he became a maths teacher because he could write equations and numbers anywhere and they wouldn't materialise anything.

When he needed to leave notes about Homework or Upcoming tests he'd print out a paper with the words and tape it to the door, or he'd type the words and project them onto the chalk board with the projector.

But you know how teachers always have those big posters. You can't just type them out because there aren't many printers big enough for that size paper. One time Kunikida was making one of those about squaring and cubing things and several cubes the size of the giant poster paper appeared and he couldn't get them out of the door because they were just barely too wide too fit through the door so he was stuck using an ax from the janitor's closet to cut them up. 

And by this time Kunikida was PISSED at his ability so he was taking it OUT on these blocks and decimating them! The kids who were serving lunchtime detention in his class (for not tucking in their shirts) were really scared. The principal walked in to see what the noise was about and then fired him.

Fukuzawa heard about this and scooped him up into the ADA.

The Fukus love Ranpo but the original Fukuzawa says "He's my Ranpo go get your own!!"

I wonder if Chuuya joined the agency if he would be able to control corruption and stop it on his own. Like what would "All men are equal" do to his ability?

Yes, All Men Are Created Equal canonically allows Fukuzawa to sense those who are within its range of influence. Ranpo and Dazai are both unable to be affected by it, but they're also both weasel men with remarkable talents for scampering evasively, so I'm sure Fukuzawa copes.

As far as we know, the clerks also do not have abilities, and the Agency has contingencies for their safety in emergencies (ex: the safe house where Haruno and Naomi were sent during the Guild arc.)

While Fukuzawa logistically can maintain tabs on most of the Agency's skill users, the substance of the entrance exam is the threshold for whether Fukuzawa can trust prospective Agency members without having to monitor them closely. So, I don't think he would treat those outside of the scope of his ability any differently than any other member of the Agency.

Fukuzawa trusts his people, and that means trusting that they will be okay and, if not, that they were prepared for that outcome. In turn, the Agency members trust Fukuzawa to lead the Agency and provide a compass for their actions so that regardless of what may come, they know their due north.

oh god, fukuzawa is already curled fetal in his grief under a pile of rubble. did he feel the thread of kunikida plucked taut before delicately snapping like spider's silk, loss rippling the geometry of his consciousness? or did it feel like being gutted, like an organ slipping, hot and viscous, from the gaping wound left in him by fukuchi to smack wetly on the ground?

can fukuzawa feel an aperture where there was once posterity, or is he choking on the fullness of how much he still has left to lose?

Bsd except Atsushi is a reverse Weretiger aka he is a tiger that can transform into a human.

The Orphanage still ended up with him but treated him like a beast, only letting him out on the full moon.

But human Atsushi is rather unhinged and doesn't human well so feral tiger boy it is.

He's not a rampaging tiger, hes a weirdly very behaved random tiger all things considered. But he's still freaking people out and he's a menace on either form.

Atsushi can hold his human form better with All Men Are Equals. But Dazai will boop him and bam giant white tiger that bonks him on the head.

Akutagawa is just screaming insults at a very bewildered and than pissed off tiger. He's roaring and Akutugawa is screaming and they come to a werid agreement.

Atsushi is still a member of the Agency, tiger or human. He's got a lil badge and everything. Dazai is just like nah its cool guys this is our office tiger.

Cut to him getting bonked on the head, again.

Fukuzawa's ability "All Men Are Created Equal" gives anyone he recognises as his teammate equal control over their abilities as everyone else in the organisation. So, as soon as Atsushi accepted to join the team he immediately gained full control of his powers to the same level that Dazai has, now the only thing blocking his progress is how creative he can be with his own abilities. A unique way of making a character very OP very fast (Unfortunately the only BSD character with OP powers that would really need this extra boost is on the wrong team. 😅💔 - Life is not kind to Chuuya).

I'm just very intrigued by Fukuzawa's ability. At first glance it doesn't look like anything impressive but that's because he's organised a team of heroes who fight for the greater good. Keep in mind that if any of his new teammates were to just leave their control over their abilities would resort to square one. And because he's so kind most of anyone who works with Fukuzawa immediately feel indebted to him.

Imagine this dude as a military commander or Mafia boss (I understand more and more why Fukuchi and Mori can't control themselves. I'd be mad if Fukuzawa broke up with me too).

Alright there was surprisingly a lot of people who wanted to hear my interpretation of kunikidas backstory. So uhm here i go, i just hope i dont disappoint y'all. (Its long as fuck i know, and its not even all LMFAO)

i think he wasnt an orphan because im fucking sick of every single character in bsd being a fucking orphan. What i do think though is that he didn't have the best family life, an overly "protective" (controlling) mother and either an absent or inactive father. (as in, the dad didn't really care what happened at home he just sort of did whatever his wife wanted him to do) but basically this is where Kunikidas hatred for authority starts because all his mother does is pull the "im your mother and you have to listen to me" card. I think his ability before being affected by the "all men are equal" would definitely act up therefore he couldn't go to a proper school because he didn't want to accidentally summon a lion or something like that. So he was basically a nuisance to his mother because she had to homeschool him. Once he was older he decided to go to a math based high school for two reasons: he cant summon numbers; he could live in the school dorms. He basically runs away from home once he's capable and takes on a lot of part time jobs (katai offers him money but kunikida refuses) and basically lives like this until college. Being a good student grade wise he made a deal that if he does tutoring for the other students, they'll let him rent the dorm for free. But at one point he fails an important exam, and though he doesn't get expelled from the college they retract their statement about letting him tutor unless he proves he's knowledgeable in the subject. But that ruins his housing situation and lives on the street for a few days, realising that its less than ideal to sleep on a park bench he goes to katai out of desperation and lives with him for some time while he tries to find a job. And you might see where I'm going with this. But i dont think kunikida would apply to be a detective at first. I believe he would see some poster about the agency needing a secretary, especially someone who could handle computers and decides to try to get a job there. When he goes to the interview he almost starts crying because he's so desperate for money and his own place to live in. Fukuzawa takes pity on him and lets him take hold of the files. Kunikida gets his own apartment (yay) retakes his exam and gets back to tutoring. At one point the agency say they need some sort of signature (or something, i dont have to think of a specific example do i??) on regular paper and kunikida admits that though he knows how to write, his handwriting isn't very good because of his ability he didn't have much of a chance to perfect it. Yosano and Fukuzawa, of course shocked that kunikida has an ability in the first place meanwhile Ranpo just shrugs because he knew all along, just didn't care to mention it. Then fukuzawa asks Kuni if he doesn't want to join the agency as a detective and that any training he might need, will be provided. (Partly offering this to him because the agency in the early days had literally 4 members including the president and secretary Kunikida and they all built a sort of trust between each other) so kunikida accepts and eventually drops out of college because he quite literally doesn't need it anymore, he knows what he wants to do now. And also after all men are equal takes place kunikida starts writing traditionally all the time, simply because he was so deprived of it before, thus building his habit of keeping his notebook with him 24/7.

I hope this made a bit of sense, if you imagined it differently, im not taking that away from you this is just my interpretation xx

Also don't ask me how katai and kunikida met i dont know nor care, i mean they've been friends for around 10 years, so they met when they were 12? They honestly could have just met one day on complete random, I'm not looking too deep into that
