It was one of those lazy afternoons where Matt and I had nothing planned. The sun was shining, and we were lounging on the couch, scrolling through TikTok and watching random videos. That’s when it hit me.

“Babe, you’ve never gotten a manicure or pedicure before, have you?” I asked, glancing over at him. He was mid-scroll on his phone, but he looked up at me, brow furrowing.

“No, why would I?” Matt said, half-laughing. “That’s not really my thing.”

“Not yet, but it could be,” I replied with a grin, sitting up and nudging his side. “Come on, we’re going to the nail salon. You’re getting the full treatment today, and were getting matching sets.”

He looked at me, wide-eyed, as if I’d suggested we skydive or something equally wild. “Wait, are you serious?”

“Dead serious,” I said, getting up and grabbing my shoes. “We haven’t filmed anything for the couples channel in a minute, and this will be hilarious. Our followers will love it.”

“Yeah, because they’ll love watching you *torture* me,” he groaned, running a hand through his hair. “Do I have a choice here?”

I raised an eyebrow, putting on my most convincing smile. “Nope. But I promise you’ll enjoy it more than you think.”

Matt sighed dramatically, but I could see the small smile tugging at his lips. “Fine. But if I end up with sparkly nails, you’re going to owe me big time.”

“No promises,” I said with a laugh, grabbing my phone and setting it up on the tripod for the vlog. “Now, let’s do this.”

The nail salon was buzzing with activity when we walked in. The scent of polish and acetone hung in the air, but it was familiar and oddly calming. I loved coming here—getting my nails done always felt like a mini self-care retreat.

Matt, on the other hand, looked like he was walking into a battlefield. His eyes darted around, taking in the bright neon colors and rows of nail polishes displayed on the walls.

“Hey, guys!” I said to the camera, holding it up as we walked in. “So, today’s vlog is a little special. I finally convinced Matt to get a manicure and pedicure with me!”

Matt gave a mock glare to the camera. “Yeah, *convinced* is a strong word. More like she bribed me with the promise of Bruxie afterward.”

I laughed, zooming in on his face. “You love me, though.”

“Yeah, yeah. Let’s just get this over with,” he mumbled, though there was a playful smile on his lips.

We were greeted by the nail techs, and I quickly explained what we were there for. They were more than happy to help and seemed amused that Matt was about to get his first ever nail treatment. They led us over to the pedicure chairs, and I could already see Matt sizing them up, probably trying to figure out how to escape.

“This is where the magic happens, babe,” I teased, settling into my chair. “Just sit back, relax, and let them work their magic.”

Matt gave me a skeptical look as he sat down. “This chair is huge. Is this thing supposed to be comfortable?”

“You’ll love it once the massage function kicks in,” I promised, wiggling my toes in excitement as the warm water filled the foot bath.

He leaned back cautiously, and I reached over to the camera to make sure it was still recording. “Alright, guys, we’re in the pedicure chairs now, and Matt is about to experience pure relaxation for the first time. How do you feel?”

“Like I’m about to get my feet attacked,” he deadpanned.

I laughed, giving the camera a wink. “He’s being dramatic, as usual.”

The nail techs came over and started setting up. I could tell Matt was nervous, especially when they rolled up his pants and dipped his feet into the water. He jumped a little at the sensation.

“Relax,” I whispered, holding back a giggle. “It’s just water.”

“I know it’s water, but it’s weird. My feet aren’t used to all this attention,” he muttered, but I could see him trying to get comfortable.

A few minutes in, though, as the nail tech started working on his feet, I noticed the tension leave his body. The chair’s massage function kicked in, and Matt leaned back, his eyes half-closed.

I nudged him, laughing softly. “See? Told you it’d feel good.”

Matt opened one eye, looking over at me. “I hate to admit it, but this… isn’t bad.”

I grinned, holding up the camera to capture the moment. “You heard it here first, folks. Matt Sturniolo actually likes getting a pedicure.”

“Let’s not get ahead of ourselves,” he joked, but I could see the smile tugging at his lips.

The funniest part was when the nail tech started scrubbing the bottom of his feet with the pumice stone. Matt nearly shot out of the chair, his whole body jerking in surprise.

“Oh my God! What is that?!” he exclaimed, laughing but clearly not expecting the ticklish sensation.

I was laughing so hard I had tears in my eyes. “That’s the exfoliation! It’s good for you, just sit still!”

“This is torture,” he muttered, but even he was cracking up, trying to hold it together for the camera.

By the time the pedicure was done, Matt looked way more relaxed than when we walked in. I could tell he was lowkey enjoying it, even if he wouldn’t admit it. Next up was the manicure.

“Alright, now for the nails,” I said, turning the camera toward him as we moved to the manicure station. “What color are you thinking, babe? Maybe a nice pink?”

Matt gave me a mock glare. “No way. I’m going with clear. Keep it simple.”

“Boring,” I teased, but I pulled out my phone showing you, the nail tech and the camera the sets i chose. “more like match sets and i've picked em out baby.”

The nail tech started working on his hands, trimming and shaping his nails. I could tell Matt was fascinated by the process, even if he was trying to play it cool.

“So, what do you think? Would you do this again?” I asked, zooming in on his expression.

Matt smirked, glancing at the camera. “I mean, maybe. It’s not as bad as I thought. But I’m not making this a regular thing.”

I laughed, knowing he’d probably end up coming back with me at some point. “We’ll see. I’m converting you slowly.”

The vlog ended with us walking out of the salon, Matt holding up his freshly manicured hands for the camera. “Alright, guys, that’s it for today’s vlog. I survived my first mani-pedi. What did you think?”

He grinned, flashing his hands. “Honestly? It wasn’t bad. I might even feel a little fancy now.”
