Platonic yandere Bruno madrigal with a child! reader
Tw: (Slightly) Overprotective yandere, fluff :)
Bruno is a such a sweetheart when it comes to you.
He'll treat you like you're his own child.
He loves spoiling you.
He loves spending time with you.
Doing little plays with the rats to make you laugh,
Or telling you little jokes.
He loves it when you smile and laugh.
Especially when he was the one who made you smile/laugh.
Bruno is quite overprotective of you, no matter what.
And will always be by your side no matter what.

Hi there. I really like your fics, (specially the hogwarts legacy and the Encanto ones) so can I ask you for an Encanto fic in which M!reader (or GN!reader if you want more people to feel included) struggles to control their gift which is manipulating any forms of fire. Abuela gets mad for the chaos they have caused and the people are scared of them.
The reader is feeling really bad because they feel that their gift can only cause destruction but then Bruno appears and comforts them and tell them that all of the people are afraid of him too and that the gift they have is truly wonderfull.
If this doesn't bother you can you make this before the events of the movie? Maybe the reader can be still a child who got their gift not so long ago. And also that their mother is Pepa.
Thank you so much and sorry if my explanation was so long and impossible to understand. English isn't my first language. Have a nice day/ night!!
A/N: Thank you so much anon! So sorry for the delay, I ended up with chickenpox for the past few weeks and it is has taken me a while to recover. Hope you enjoy!
Destruction
child!Madrigal reader x Bruno Madrigal (platonic!)
The whole village was a flurry with anticipation. There was to be a celebration in the village square and the entire Madrigal family was helping with the decorations and preparations. Your cousin Isabela had created the most beautiful flower decorations, and you took one of the flowers in your hand to smell the sweetness of it. A little bit of pollen got into your nose and… “Achoo!” You sneezed, triggering your gift to set the poor, unsuspecting flower aflame.
“Ah! No, no, no!” You muttered, as you tried to stamp the flames out. In your panic, you only made the fire worse as you slowly set alight to ALL the decorations. Soon, half the village square was up in flames. Villagers started running around screaming, pushing and shoving as they tried to get away. Some of the village children ran up towards you before they spotted the flames coming from your hands. “Ah! Monster!” They screamed, running in the opposite direction to you.
Your mother, Pepa, saw the chaos happening. Her eyes narrowed as she saw that you were in the centre of it all. The sky darkened and rain began to pour from the sky, as lightning flashed dangerously and the loud rumble of thunder signified how terribly angry she was with you. “Oh no…” You whispered to yourself, as she came over to you, agonisingly slowly. Luckily, the intense rain was able to douse your flames, including the ones still hovering above your hands.
“Y/N!” A shriek of anger comes from the edge of the village square. You turn to see your Abuela coming towards you, her face in a vicious snarl. “How could you? You’ve destroyed everything your family has worked so hard on today!”
You sniff, tears threatening to fall. “I’m sorry… I didn’t mean to, I couldn’t… control it.” Your chin wobbles, as Abuela yanks your arm to drag you back to Casita. Your family follows behind you, glaring daggers into your back. “I don’t want to hear it, Y/N.” Abuela shakes her head. “You have created absolute chaos, frightened the villages and disappointed your family. You must control your gift, or you cannot go out of Casita into Encanto.”
You gasp in shock, blinking rapidly as the tears mix in with the rain coming from Pepa’s storm. “You’ll lock me away in Casita?” You begin to sob, hugging myself as we trudge up the steps to Casita. As soon as you all get inside, you run up the stairs and run into your room, slamming the door. You flop onto your bed, staring up at the ceiling. It feels like your heart will break.
The door slowly creaked open, and your eyes land on your Uncle Bruno as he slinks into the room. “Y/N, let’s… have a talk.” You sit up, wiping your tears, as you sit cross-legged on your bed. Bruno sits beside you, a hand resting on your shoulder. “I know what it is like. To have a gift that causes fear in other people.” He says, as you look up at him, listening intently.
“People have a tendency to be… afraid of what they don’t understand. Now, you and I… we both have powerful gifts. Capable of great things… but also capable of causing a lot of damage.” You look down, sniffling, as you hug your pillow. “They see that power, and they are afraid. They don’t take the time to understand it.” Bruno adds, sighing as he looks down at you. “I know it seems tough right now, that no one will be able to see who you are, past the big scary fire…”
“They are so frightened of me… but it isn’t my fault, I can’t control it!”
“You will, with time. And when you can, they will love you for your gift. I think it is pretty neat, honestly.” Your face lights up. “Really?”
“Well, for a start, you can create a bonfire any time you want, and then we can toast marshmallows. Or when it is super dark, and you can just flick your hand and light us a torch? Yeah… your gift is awesome.” His words make you smile for the first time, the candles in your room start to burn a bit brighter.
“You keep your chin up, kiddo. Don’t listen to the others… listen to your Uncle Bruno.” You smile, feeling the room become warmer from the heat of your flames again.
“Thanks, Tío.”

Little furry friend (Bruno x F!Reader) part 2
For @hectic-hector (ily 💕)
Part 1
-----------------
"Julieta!! Do something about your sister!!"
The healer sighed and rolled her eyes fondly before turning to see Pepa effortlessly carrying Bruno into the kitchen. She knew that her brother justified that with the weight loss he had while living in the walls, but the three of them knew that Pepa had always had incredible strength and that she could lift both of them on each arm without breaking a sweat.
"Julieta!! Tell your brother to stop being a crybaby!!"
"I'm not a crybaby!"
"Yes you are!"
"Julieta!!"
"Okay, that's enough" the older one said, trying not to laugh at Bruno's pout when Pepa sat him down in a chair "what's going on?"
"Your sister is a nightmare"
"Your brother is an airhead"
"...okay, something else I don't already know?"
"HEY!!"
Julieta laughed at her siblings’ expressions and rolled her eyes again. Sometimes it was exhausting mediating their fights, but she truly loved them with all of her being and wouldn't have them any other way, no matter how many gray hairs they gave her in a day (definitely more than the six grandchildren combined).
"And you're supposed to be the good triplet?" Pepa crossed her arms with a pout.
"I always said that we should be careful with her, she has a mischievous glint in her eyes" Bruno whispered to the redhead
"So it's against me now?" the older one said, putting her hands on her hips "two seconds ago you were arguing for god knows what"
"oh yeah! You're right"
"Oh no, did you have to remind her?"
Bruno growled when a rainbow invaded the kitchen and Pepa got a little closer to her older sister, taking her by the hand like an excited child. It was always funny how Pepa could change her mood so quickly, especially when she was with her siblings, when she felt safe from being judged. But it wasn't as funny when he was the victim of her plans.
"Let's invite Y/N to dinner!"
"What?"
"We are NOT going to invite her to dinner, Pepa!"
"Why not? You already spend all day with her anyway, Bruno"
"It's different!"
"Why?!"
"Because you are not there to try anything"
"Excuse me?!" the redhead thundered "well sorry but someone has to take the next step if you're not going to do it yourself"
"There is no next step, Pepa, we are just friends!"
Julieta sighed again and pinched the bridge of her nose as her siblings returned to a heated discussion that must have started long before they entered the kitchen. She could understand Bruno's anger or concern, and would usually agree with him that things should happen on their own.
The thing was, this time, she was on Pepa's side. It had been months since you showed up at the house with Bruno's rat in your hand and the whole family had been surprised at how well you got along with him. She had to admit that like her sister, she felt quite betrayed that he hadn't told them about you sooner, but she understood that he had a right to his privacy as well.
And if she was honest with herself, she was relieved at how well you treated her little brother. It wasn't common for townspeople to associate with him of their own free will, even after the candle fiasco, but you didn't seem to have any problem, you were kind to him, you treated him as an equal, and you were even one of the few people he felt comfortable enough about physical contact with.
Of course, the nervous mess he was when you were around him, or the blush that would always come over his face when you smiled at him, or the goofy smile he had all the time when you talked to him, didn't go unnoticed either. Dolores even confirmed that his heart raced every time he saw you or someone said your name. It was obvious to everyone that Bruno Madrigal was completely in love with Y/N Y/L/N, and would be cute, if it wasn't for him refusing to do anything about it.
Her brother was already exhausting the family's patience and even Casita had tried to intervene (which is why Bruno chose to go to your house instead of having you visit them). Julieta was really beginning to consider that they would have to take that step for him.
She snapped out of her thoughts when Pepa's thunder began to get louder. The kitchen began to be filled with black clouds and if she didn’t intervene soon, all her effort would be wasted due to the rain. However, she did not have time to do something when you popped your head through the window, with a small rat on your shoulder.
"Hi Juli!" You said, always smiling "What are you doing?"
Months ago, it would not even have occurred to you to be so open with her, but after the kind reception that the whole family had made, you could not help but feeling comfortable and happy every time you approached Casita.
"These two, always fighting" she returned the smile
"For the last arepa again?"
"No" she laughed, remembering the time Pepa almost threw a knife to Bruno when he took the last arepa, although she quickly calmed down when she saw that he had taken it for you "for something that Pepa wants Bruno to do"
"Ohhhh" you said, with curiosity in your eyes "What thing?"
She was about to answer when Antonio suddenly entered the kitchen. The boy smiled widely as soon as he saw you and ran to greet you. After Bruno, Madrigal's youngest son was the one who more time spent with you.
"Hello Y/N!"
"Hey Buddy!" You answered "Long time no seeing you"
"Yes, you didn't come for three days!" he pouted
"I'm sorry, I had things to do in the carpentry" you apologized
You did not even notice that the black clouds had disappeared, or that the Madrigal triplets were looking at you with curiosity, kindness and nervousness.
"It's okay" Antonio smiled at you "is just that the animals began to ask me where Uncle Bruno's girlfriend was" he shrugged
You felt your cheeks turning red, and you quickly looked where the seer was, a few steps behind his nephew. He did not look better than you, on the contrary, he looked pale and two seconds of fainting, while his sisters smirked and tried to hide their laughs behind their hands, although the rainbow that filled the room betrayed the redhead.
If you were honest, the idea itself was not bad. Actually, you had long accepted your feelings for the younger triplet, even if you didn’t plan to do something about it because you did not think the man returned your feelings. But now, seeing him so red and nervous, you committed to question it.
"S-she’s not my g-girlfriend" Bruno stuttered, resisting the impulse to hide with the hood of his Ruana
"She's not?" Antonio asked innocently
"No, I'm not" you replied
For a moment that seemed frozen in time, you could feel the eyes of the three adults on you, Pepa seemed disappointed, Julieta contained her breath and Bruno looked really defeated. That was what made you take a risk.
"Toñito, your uncle and I share Sebastián, remember?" you said gently
"Yeah?"
"That means we have a child together" you smiled with malice when you heard the triplets gasps "I am not his girlfriend, I am his wife"
"W-what?!"
Pepa and Julieta laughed at their brother's complete shock, and you couldn't help noticing how adorable it was. But then, as if he was a statue, he fell backwards, harshly hitting against the ground.
".... ooops" you said.

Camilo and Bruno both love you. You are newly married to Bruno.
Camilo is jealous and uses his shape shifting powers to pretend to be Bruno. He has sex with you from time to time.
One day, you are pregnant!
Camilo thinks you are pregnant with his child and Bruno feels the same way.
What do you think?
I love polyandry

Pairing: Bruno Madrigal x fem!reader
Summary: After Bruno's disappearance, Y/N brings the Madrigals some unexpected news.
Genre: angst (fluff)
Warnings: none that I can think of.
Disclaimer: I do not own any of the Encanto characters. I named the son Bartholomew in this fic. Feel free to change the name to suit you 😊. NOTE - I apologize for any incorrect grammar, spelling, or language with the Spanish.
A/n: I'm surprising myself by doing this. As per literally almost all of my other fandom works, it's probably gonna be a series. Same as always, folks, please don't steal my work. God bless! :)
xxx
The walk to Casita was nerve-wrecking. Every step closer to the household, her gut grew colder. Y/N wrapped her arms across her stomach, shielding her womb from the cold air. She hoped that Pepa was alright. Sucking in a deep breath when she arrived, Y/N entered into the courtyard.
The tiles whirred and greeted her, aiding in calming her nerves just enough for her to face breaking the news to Alma. Y/N was greeted by Camilo and Mirabel racing to her, hugging her legs. She chuckled and crouched down, hugging them back. Dolores followed suit, and then Isabella, and finally Luisa.
The children hugged her, all asking questions at the same time. Felix and Augustin came down and moved the bombarding children away from their dear friend. Pepa and Julieta soon joined, and finally, Alma. Y/N's veins ran cold as Alma's eyes locked with hers.
By no means was she afraid of the woman. In fact, she admired and respected her, which was why the news was even more appalling to have to break to the Madrigals after the fiasco of Mirabel's ceremony and Bruno's disappearance. Y/N's heart sunk when she thought of Bruno. Alma spoke, pulling Y/N from the pit she was nearing.
"Y/N, querida (dear), what brings you here on this rainy day?"
"Señora Madrigal, I've come with news."
"Good news, I hope. I doubt we could stand any more bad news."
The older woman's tired smile splintered Y/N's heart, and she felt sick to her gut. The news she bore was supposed to be sheer joy, happiness, excitement, and all the other good emotions. However, the timing was terrible. Y/N's heart throbbed with a dull ache at the misfortunate environment and timing for her blessing.
"If we could perhaps discuss this in private, please."
Y/N gave a weak smile. Alma nodded.
"Children, Dolores, you specifically, please make way to your rooms."
The children scurried off, doing as their Abuela asked. The grownups stayed in the courtyard as Y/N followed Alma to the kitchen.
"I'd uh.. I'd suggest that you sat down for this, Señora."
Alma raised concerned brows but sat down nevertheless, and Y/N did too. She plucked at the hem of her skirt, unable to look Alma in the eyes. Y/N took a deep, shuddering breath before she looked at Alma.
"I-I uh.. there is no easy way to say this... but I have to let you know. And I'm aware that this is the worst time possible to bring this news to you, but I'd rather tell you myself, a-and- you have every right to know. And to be upset with me..."
All Alma did was raise a brow. Y/N swallowed thickly and smoothed her palms across her lap before they protectively wrapped around her middle.
"You're with child?"
Alma guessed. Y/N looked at her with large eyes and bit her lip as she nodded.
"Querida (Dear), I do not know how you being with child can upset me."
"It's Bruno's."
Y/N rushed out in a whisper. Alma gasped as she sat back in her chair. The knot in Y/N's throat came loose, and the tears queued behind her waterline.
"I promise you that we didn't fornicate- we just... oh dios. Bruno and I..."
Y/N sighed and tightened her arms across her waist.
"Nos fugamos cuando Bruno tenía treinta." (We eloped when Bruno was thirty.)
"You married my son behind my back and have been married to him for ten years without informing me?"
Y/N looked at her lap as the dam wall broke and the hot tears spilt over her cheeks. She nodded, unable to look the woman in her eyes.
"I am so sorry for not telling you sooner. We - Bruno, Bruno, and I wanted to tell the familia when everything was settled and when the town was more fond of Bruno. We planned to re-marry and have a large ceremony for the familia."
"Please leave and never come back." (Lol, my dentist said that to me word for word when I was about 6 or 7.)
"Perdóname?" (Pardon me?)
"I said, please leave and never come back."
"B-but the child- it is your grandchild..."
"I do not care. I want nothing to do with a child who's parents betrayed the familia!"
Y/N got up on trembling legs.
"Lo siento mucho." (I am so sorry.)
Whether she whispered it to the baby, to Alma, or to herself, she was unsure. Y/N kept her head low, ignoring the pleas of her brothers and sisters in law as she walked. The walk home was even worse than the walk from home. Alma refused to tell anyone what had been discussed between herself and Y/N, and insisted that everything go back to the way they were.
Her son was born several months later, Bartholomew Tavares Madrigal. Y/N sent Alma a letter, to which she never got a response.
(Here comes our boiii)
Bruno, who had been arranging the space behind the kitchen wall for himself to live in, had heard the conversation between his mother and his wife. He was distraught by the idea of having a child and being unable to be in the child's life or in his wife's life. A sickening feeling in his gut made him fear the worst; that she'd find a present father for their son and ignore his existence like everybody else. Mustering up all of his courage, Bruno decided to write a letter to Y/N. His little acquaintances promised to deliver the letter to her.
One evening, he'd snuck out of the walls to get food when he heard his mother's voice.
"Mi Pedro. I wish you were here to help me. Brunito has a child, and he's not here to see it. Al parecer es un niño pequeño (Apparently it's a little boy.). Brunito is also apparently married. The mother sent me a letter today. The child's name is Bartholomew Tavares Madrigal. Que nombre (What a name.)."
Alma chuckled at the end of her confession, and Bruno had to grip the wall for support. He heard his son's names, the very names him and his amada (beloved) had discussed in their years of courting.
It'd had been a long day for Y/N and Bartholomew, Y/N, trying to find any job in the town to feed herself and most importantly her child, and getting judged for having a child outside of marriage, which she hadn't. But nobody could know that she was married.
"Por fin estamos en casa, cariño."
(We're home at last my darling).
The baby cooed, warming Y/N's heart. He inherited his father's big, beady eyes and their mischievous glint. The very glint that made Y/N fall in love with him. And not the dreadful mischievous he was described as, the mischievousness of a humble heart yearning to please others and make them laugh.
After feeding him, Y/N put Bartholomew down in his crib. Her ears perked when she heard a shuffling noise in front of her door. Y/N squeaked when she opened the door; two rats were dragging an envelope. She shooed them with her broom, assuming they wanted to use the letter in a nest or something. The rats screeched before scurrying into the bush. Y/N clicked her tongue as she brushed the dust off the letter and got up. Her eyes widened when she saw her name on the paper in very familiar handwriting.
Y/N bit her lip as she traced her name on the paper. She sat down on the steps, reaching into her apron. She tutted with her tongue and the rats slowly crept out of their hiding spot.
"I'm sorry for being rude."
She smiled, breaking off a piece of pastry and tossing it a bit away from her. The rats scurried, racing each other to the crumb. The second rat pawed sadly as the other rat refused to share the crumb. Y/N broke off another piece and held her hand out. The rat inched closer slowly before leaning against her palm with its paws, sniffling the food.
The rat grabbed the pastry piece from her and sat next to her on the step, eating it.
"Thank you for delivering my letter."
The first rat sat on its hind legs, grooming its ears as Y/N spoke. The second rat cautiously made its way onto her lap. She laid her palms in her lap, allowing the rat to get onto it. She brought the rat up to her face, smiling at the creature. It ran down her arm and joined the other rat. They squeaked as if in conversation, and both heads turned to Y/N. Beady, glassy, red eyes stared at her before they scurried off. As if on cue, Bartholomew started crying.
Y/N went in and locked the door, swiftly making her way to her son. As soon as he was cradled in her arms, he was calm. And, unbeknownst to anyone, Bruno had started crying at the same time as his son, mourning for the life he'd wanted since his golden years. A life that was torn from him the moment he got it.
Y/N sucked in a deep breath, deciding to read the letter whilst she held her son. He was her only comfort.
Y/N, mi regalo más preciado y hermoso. (Y/N, my most precious and beautiful gift.)
I'd like to start off this letter with an apology. An apology for my sudden disappearance and an apology for being the worst form of a husband I could be.
I heard about Bartholomew. Just know that I love him, and I love you. I will always love mis dos bendiciones (I will always love my two blessings). I cannot describe the inconsolable grief that I feel from being unable to have a part in my son and my wife's life. And I feel the same amount of grief that you have been banned from the familia.
You have every right to be angry with me, to hate me. I will never blame you, should you do either of those or more.
Mi corazón (My heart), I will continue writing to you. I will send a letter to Bartholomew on his birthday each year until we are hopefully reunited one day. Even if you throw them away or burn them, I will continue writing to you. I love you more than I could ever find the words to put together.
Tuyo Sinceramente, (Yours Sincerely) Bruno.
Y/N felt numerous emotions at once. Anger, pain, confusion, joy, and hope. Though, she did not feel the anger towards Bruno. She kissed the letter, placing it on her windowsill. Y/N looked down at her son. His peaceful face put her pounding heart at ease. She finally understood the trail Alma faced being a single mother. Her throat burned as she thought of the woman, the heartache she must have been through. Though uncalled for, she understood Alma's reaction.
Y/N pressed a loving kiss to her son's forehead, promising to give him the best life she possibly could.

Yandere madrigal family x reader? They invite the reader over and are going to kidnap them. But the reader realises and trys to leave, but get kidnaped anyway. I'm sorry if this made you uncomfortable.
Imma make it a bit softer but I can do it! Been a long time since I’ve done encanto also sorry for the long wait! Been busy with school!
TW/CW:Yandere behavior, unhealthy behavior, unhealthy relationship, abusive relationship, abusive relationship, kidnapping…kinda?(look I write for softer Yanderes so you’ll understand soon),flashing words for the gif, Stockholm Syndrome, DO NOT SUPPORT ANY OF THIS! I AM WRITING THIS FIR ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES!
You don’t remember how you became apart of the Madrigal family or how you got here but all you knew was that you were apart of the Madrigal family even if you didn’t have powers. The village people acted iffy with you as if you weren’t always there but they tried to act like you’ve always been here. You never asked as it would upset your family. Your father was Bruno so maybe thats why they act iffy with you. You don’t really remember anything int fact, you don’t remember your birthday or family time. Everyone said it was because you hit your head to hard which is believable.
You and Mirabel share the nursery as rooms are made for a specific persons gift but sometimes you’ll be in Antonio’s room. Going downstairs with Mirabel hand and hand you waved at casita and abuelo, you don’t remember much stories of abuelo but Alma speaks highly of him. “Morning papi” “morning my little rat” It was a nickname as you also love the rats thus gaining the nickname little rat. You helped set the table like every day expect you just stared outside, you’ve been outside many time but for some reason you want to go beyond the hills,it’s possible because you’ve done it once with your cousins but you want to go alone. “Y/N,you okay?” “Hm? Yes sorry just zoned out” Dolores nodded her head.
She’s married Mariano and he treats you like your his own child, you two are inseparable makes Bruno jealous of the fact someone else is acting like your dad when HE’S YOUR DAD! “Morning little sun!” You hugged Mariano,he made the nickname little sun out of boredom and it just stuck with you. Bruno hated how close you two were as he was your father after he saved you from your old home. Dolores just smiled seeing her two favorite people interact. Everyone was happy that you were happy after you finally forgot about your old family, but that does not matter now as your with your real family now!

Being Bruno’s Child Would Include… Pt. I
Takes place before the movie. The reader’s age ranges from 0-5. I guess let me know if I should make a second part.
Parts: 1 2 3 4
You’re Bruno’s child. Your mother died not long after you were born, as she became ill with something even you tía Julieta couldn’t remedy.
He disappeared the night you’re prima Mirabel didn’t get your gift. You were only a few months old at the time.
He hated having to leave, but considering his reputation and the death of your mother, he figured you’d have a better chance if he left. That’s not mentioning his final vision, the destruction of Casa Madrigal, he desperately hoped for your sake and Mira's leaving would mean his vision would never come to pass.
You were raised by your tía Julieta and tío Augustín. They treated you as one of their own though made sure you understood they were your aunt and uncle and not your actual parents. A distinction Julieta deemed important, in memory of your parents.
The girls; Isabela, Luisa, and Mirabel adored you. Fully accepting and titling you their fourth sister.
When you were an infant and got fussy from bad dreams, Mirabel would climb into your bed to snuggle with you until you settled. When you were first learning to walk and fell bursting into tears, Luisa carried you everywhere for a week refusing to let you down. People would say Isa’s flowers were more vibrant when you were talking, walking at her side.
Isa might have been Encanto’s Senorita Perfecta, but you were Encanto’s darling.
Bruno had to watch you grow from the cracks in the wall. Your first steps, your first words, unbeknownst to you and the family. He watched it all with silent tears.
Before you came of age, he would tiptoe into your nursery at night, careful not to wake you or Mirabel. He’d talk sometimes, but usually he’d tuck a gift beneath your pillow and weep at how big you were getting. The gifts were always small trinkets; bracelets, coins, hair clips, notes of praise. Which you would graciously and excitedly share with your primos.
Despite being young, when you were little, you picked up on the town’s tenderness with you. A tenderness that seemed to stem from a place of pity.
Thanks to Julieta and Augustín, you at least grew up knowing you were Bruno’s child. But anytime you asked about him, most always the answer was “we don’t talk about Bruno.” Tío Félix would sometimes let information slip.
You tried once to peek into your Papa’s room. All you saw was sand falling like a waterfall behind an hourglass arch. Before you could continue sleuthing, Abuela caught you. She had Casita board the door over. You cried yourself to sleep that day and didn’t speak to anyone the rest of the week.
Encanto’s darling, but always on thin ice with Abuela. You weren’t sure why. No matter what you did, she seemed to shun you. When you spoke to her in an attempt to tell her about all the good you did that day, she’d pat your head and dismissively respond, “that’s nice dear.”
Then came your fifth birthday, the day you’d finally receive your gift. While you were nervous, I mean, what if, like Mirabel, you didn’t receive a gift? You were also excited. If you did receive a gift, maybe then you’d be accepted by Abuela.
The whole of Encanto showed up for your ceremony. Eager to see if another Madrigal would go without a gift or even worse, your gift turned out similar to your Pa’s.
When you grasped your door knob and illuminated, glittering like golden, the tension in the room seemed double.
“What’s their gift?” You could hear your primo Camilo loudly whisper from below.
You had the same question.
Then Abuela placed a hand on your shoulder. From your perspective, the world blurs around. You weren’t moving, but everything around you was. It was a blur of movement as everything around you spun backwards.
In an instant, you were in front of a blank wall. You hit it, it felt solid. Looking around as far as you could tell you were still in Casita, it was just smaller. You almost jumped out of your skin when three children appeared from around the corner. They didn’t even seem to notice you, as they walked in a neat line past you down the corridor. Similarly to you, they wore white and gold.
You followed behind the last child, a boy, until he had to break off from the two, rounding a corner up a small flight of stairs. The two girls stood beside a woman, her hair set apart in two neat braids. With a warm smile, she watched the two girls. As she turned, coming into better view, your small eyes grew to the size of saucers. She held the candle. Your familia’s candle.
As the girls reached for their doors, you rushed behind them. Your shock and worry only grew as their doors took shape before your eyes. These were the doors of your tías. You saw the similarities now. These two girls, the same age as you, were your tías. This was the day they got their gift. You’d traveled back in time.
That meant the boy was or would be your papa. This was your chance to see him, albeit a younger version of him. You tried to run back to the steps where he’d disappeared, but an invisible wall prevented you from leaving the hall. You pound your fists against nothing trying to break the invisible barrier, but the world begins to blur once more. Everything around you sped forward.
In an instant you were back, in front of your door, Abuela’s hand on your shoulder, tears pricking the corner of your eyes. It seemed no time had passed at all.
Mirabel was the first to speak. “¿Are you okay, ratoncito?“
You had but one response, “I think I can see the past.”

Can I request Platonic madrigal family with a child who always brings/gives them gifts? Like candy, flowers, or cards(or anything else) that just explains how much the child loves them?
Thank you!
Have a good day/night
Madrigal Adults reacting to child!reader giving them gifts
Note: Thank you for this adorable request!
Pairs: Madrigal Adults x child!reader (Platonic)
Type:Fluff, Platonic and Headcanons
Julieta and Agustín Madrigal
I know they would be like "For me?" when you give them a gift!
You want to give them gifts to appreciate them for helping the Encanto.
Julieta will be so happy and give you a candy.
Agustín will be absolutely ecstatic and pat you on the head and say "Gracias niña"
Pepa and Félix Madrigal
Pepa absolutely had a rainbow over her head when you gave her a flower.
She loves you, in a platonic way of course!
You gave Félix a basket of berries he was so happy and adored by you!
Pepa and Félix introduces you to their youngest son: Antonio
Bruno Madrigal
He will be very surprised since many kids look away from him.
He will ask if it was for him and you nod.
Bruno starts treating you as his own daughter even though you had parents of your own.
He would look into the future and see that you grow up into a beautiful young woman.
Alma Madrigal
Like her son, she would also be surprised since she thought that a few kids didn’t like her after how she treated her family.
She will thank you and put the flowers in her bedroom.
She will give you some flowers too and when you are happy, brings a smile to her face.
She treats you as if you are her granddaughter.
Sometimes you two would play and throw flower petals at each other.
Thank you for reading!

Can I please get a hc list of how Pepa and Julieta would react to raising a child with mind reading abilities as their gift
Pepa and Julieta reacting to their child getting mind reading as their gift
!english isn’t my first language, so there can be some grammar mistakes that I am sorry for in advance!
thank you for the request <3
MASTERLIST
PEPA
as a toddler you were quite observant
you spent a lot of time with your older sister Dolores, you'd play this game with her, where she'd ask you to tell her a story so she could focus on your voice and practice tuning out other sounds
the game went like this
you had to think of a backstory of a random villager
you were quite good at this, you were able to notice things others didn't pay attention to
and later Dolores would hear some of the town's people and she'd be shocked hearing that most of the things you said were more or less true
when you turned the doorknob, the door glowed and everyone went silent as they awaited for the revelation of your gift
Pepa was basically crushing Félix' hands out of nervousness
the thing that broke the silence was your surprised voice
"Woah... Mom, are you actually gonna puke out of nerves? Not on my dress, please."
Pepa's eyes widened, so did your dad's
Abuela gasped
the villagers started whispering
it wasn't until you said "Mind reading? You really think so Isa?" that the realization started to hit
Pepa almost fainted
the first few weeks of you having your gift were... confusing
your má was stressed, because a power like this could be truly troublesome
it didn't help that everyone immediately noticed the similarities this gift shared with Dolores' or Bruno's
it rained for a whole month after your gift ceremony
Pepa decided to stay in with you in Casita, preparing you for potential problems you may face with your new abilities
but she was expecting to be the one doing the talking
turned out you quickly got a hold of this gift
and seeing your mother so stressed, you decided to cheer her up
because she's your mom and no one wants to see their mom sad
you told her how it's okay to feel things
"má, i actually like it when you make it rain, i like puddles"
"you can say clear skies as much as you want to, but don't feel like it's a necessity"
"oh! mabe we can turn it into a song?"
"má, don't cry. i'll tell you if Cami actually destroyed that vase or not if you smile"
Pepa was so relieved, a rainbow appeared over Casita's roof for the first time in days
as the years went by, you were actually doing great
you and Dolores got really close due to the similar problems that came with your gifts that you had to overcome
so, you, Dolores and Pepa would often hang out just the three of you to gossip
Dolores would say the rumor, you’d add some details and Pepa would comment, all this while drinking coffee and painting each other’s nails
sometimes you’d invite tía Julieta just so she and Pepa could feel like teenagers again
you liked having mind reading mainly because of moments like this
sure, the gift was sometimes overwhelming and like Dolores you had to cover your ears and eyes, especially when in a crowd, but more or less you had it under control
what Pepa was worried about was that you didn't turn out to be like your siblings Antonio and Dolores
you turned out to be more of a mischievous kid, like your brother Camilo
and mind reading proved to be useful when messing with people
"you will bring me that plate of arepas or i'll tell everyone you sometimes rub flowers all over yourself instead of showering, Isa"
sure, you were a little devil
but not to your mom
you used your gift to help her come to terms with the chaos in her head
and she let all the other things slide as long as you kept being the momma's kid that you were
and as long as you let her give you embarrassing kisses all over your face without groaning
JULIETA
when you were little Mirabel would take care of you mainly because you shared a room with her
she played games with you like “guess what number i’m thinking of”
9/10 times you got it right, it was honestly a little scary
when you received your gift, Julieta got scared, just like Pepa
but you were no different than your sisters, you were strong, smart and kind
Julieta knew that you’d use your gift for good and that you’ll be wary with it
what she was afraid of was other people and their reaction to the newest addition to the magical family
Julieta’s anxiety was really bad
see, your gift was hardly a blessing, she couldn’t help but compare you to her brother
the one who ran away
and there was nothing scarier to her than losing one of her children, than losing anyone in her family
she prayed that the mind reading wouldn’t be too much for you and that you’ll be okay
the first few years after getting your gift were hard, you were a little kid with the ability to know what everyone around you is thinking
some people were scared of you and so were some children, you quickly became an outcast among children your age
to be fair, who wanted to play games with a child who’d know your every move?
Julieta was afraid that you’ll grow into a fragile and scared person because of that, she didn’t want you to be lonely, so she would take you by your hand, swinging it back and forth, and take you to the kitchen
sometimes you’d help, sometimes you’d just sit and watch
“má, you already added the salt” you’d sometimes say even though Julieta didn’t say anything
“the spatula is on that counter”
“we had arepas yesterday, let’s make something different tonight”
Julieta always found you adorable while doing this, she would chuckle and ruffle your hair
but if you talked too much, she would stuff an empanada in your mouth
and one time you said this “mamá, i’m not lonely”
Julieta almost dropped the dough she was holding
“i have three older sisters” you continued “and a prima and two primos, also tía Pepa, tío Bruno, tío Félix, pá, abuela… and you”
“that’s like” you stopped to count in your fingers “twelve people! that’s so many, i would honestly be fine with less”
Julieta hugged you and laughed
and with that laugh, all her worries went away
it was true, you had your family who loved you, and just like you, knew the struggles of having a magical gift
who needed normal friends when you had a whole house (and a house itself) full of people like you?
you were close to Dolores, but not because she helps you with handling your power
it was because you were helping her
see, it turned out that all of Julieta’s kids’ main quality was putting others over oneself
you were a bright kid, you quickly figured out how to take full control over your gift
Dolores, despite being older, could only find peace in her soundproof room, you hated seeing her cover her ears, wince when someone would laugh, clap with her index fingers
you taught her how to tune out all the noises
you two would sit in your room, you’d grab Dolores’ hands and you’d start talking
about nothing in particular, maybe about your day or something that Mirabel had done
Dolores’ job was to listen and focus
“and then she fell down into that puddle- see? it’s working!- and her whole skirt was soaked” you said mid-sentence as you noticed Dolores’ mind clear up, your story being the only thing she could think about
Julieta was so proud, but hoped that you’d let yourself be helped as well
and it turned out you would
teenage years were hard for you, especially when you could literally hear all the thoughts the kids your age had
and we know that teenagers’ minds can be dark, weird, disturbing places
you’d spent your time in the kitchen with your mom, like the old times, and you’d talk and talk and talk
and that was how she helped you, with nothing specific, just mother’s love

Are you okay with writing for kid reader and Bruno?(platonic ofc) basically reader sees him as a father figure, they get clingy around him and aren't scared to roast the shite out of anyone disrespecting bruno<3 gn reader pls
Ofc! I love this idea <33
Bruno with a Child!Reader (platonic)
He was super confused at first when you started following him around
Everyone views him as a symbol of bad luck and now a kids following him around?
He loves the company though
He pretty much adopts you
The family loves you too
The first time you roasted the hell out of someone he was terrified
He was scared you would get the same reputation as him
But you were still a kid so people just shrugged it off really
Anytime you came with him when he did a vision you would be ready to tear into the person
So people stopped being mean
Sometimes people would say stuff but you shut it down super fast
You were with him pretty much 24/7
People just started calling you Bruno’s kid after a while
I mean, you were following him around all day and the family loved you so you pretty much were
You were like a part of the madrigals
You hung out a lot in Bruno’s tower too
You scared him a few times after letting yourself in
“OH MIERD-“
“Hi Bruno :D”
“H-hello”
After that is family started telling him when you came in
The other kids didn’t care as much though so you still spooked him sometimes
He would be so terrified of giving you a bad vision he would refuse to do one for you
No matter how much you pouted or gave him puppy dog eyes
He’d just give you a hug instead
And tell you something sappy or a joke as your future
“Your future is uh- you will rich and famous yeah!”
“>:(“
He would also perform all the rat shows for you
Not a fan of sports? Well he’s got game shows!
Telenovelas are probably your favorite though
Just because of how dramatic he makes them
———
This was actually kinda long, Bruno with a child reader is just adorable okay? 😭

Hewwo, I see that requests are open and you write Encanto. So I had this idea in my head where before Bruno went into hiding he adopted this kid (y/n) that's like a year or two younger than Mirabel. Since he wouldn't be there for their gift ceremony (lets just say adopted kids can also get their gifts) they would dread the day that it would come bc after Mirabel didn't get hers they were so afraid of what the family would think if the same thing happened twice and this time their father wasn't there. But he is, hiding in the walls, but he doesn't feel like that moment was the right moment to come out so he sends one of his lil rat friends to comfort his kid. Idk I just think it would be really sweet if Bruno's kid loved his rats just as much as he did. ~✴
Yeah!!! Never thought I'd be writing Disney fics but Encanto really stole my writer heart haha.
Apologies if I get anything in this wrong ^^; Feel free to correct me
................
"Padre Bruno, do you think..I'll get a cool gift when it's my turn?"
"Huh? Oh..yeah! I'm sure you will." The visionary smiled at you, before he looked down at his own hands and sighed. "Hopefully it's nothing like mine. I wouldn't wish a gift like this on my worst enemy." He mumbled the last part, but you heard it clearly.
"¿Que? Your worst enemy?" You tilted your head in confusion. "But I don't think it's all that bad-"
"I just told a woman her fish was getting older and..it died the next day." Bruno grimly reminded you, though he couldn't stay upset with your enthusiasm for long. He didn't want you to dread getting a gift.
Tonight, Mirabel was suppose to get hers. You may have been a year younger than her and not related to the family by blood, but you were just as important as everyone else. Casita welcomed you with open arms--or doors, rather when Bruno took you in.
You were indeed drawn to the "black sheep" of the family, not being intimidated by the scary stories your friends told you about him. In reality he was just a guy with an unlucky gift. He wasn't evil and you knew that.
Considering you didn't have any family in town, and that Bruno was the only one out of Alma's triplets without kids, he decided to adopt you as his own. His sisters were surprised, but pleased to be your new tias, treating you like their own children--with love and respect.
In a way you've helped their brother come out of his shell and speak to the family more. But even then he remained shy, skittish, and self-conscious, especially with the rumors of him spreading "doom and gloom" with every breath ramping up.
"What about making a vision of what I might get?" You asked anyway, but he immediately shook his head, as if distraught by the suggestion.
"No, no..that is one thing I will never do. I don't want you to be scared if you see something you don't like."
"Yeah..I guess that's true. But..if your gift makes you see bad things, maybe my gift will let me see good things!" You grinned.
"Ah, that would be quite a gift, huh?" He chuckled a little. "Mirabel might beat you to the punch, but only time will tell."
You wanted to ask him what gift he thinks you'll have--without the help of a vision--but Casita threw an alarm clock in front of you, indicating it was time for your older sister's ceremony.
A rat popped out from behind Bruno's shoulder, lightly squeaking. You smiled and gently scratched its head. "Your rats are cute."
"G-Gracias." He was flustered, considering everyone in the family seemed creeped out by the rodents he befriended.
Besides you, they didn't judge him. And in some ways they seemed like a much better family, though of course he wouldn't tell you that.
Standing up, he took you by the hand as you two made your way to the celebration, seeing the townspeople already filing into the house, laughing and dancing.
Before long there was silence as Casita rolled out the rug, and everybody watched with anticipation and hope as Mirabel finally appeared. Looking nervous, she paced across the courtyard, up the stairs where Alma waited with the magic candle in her hands.
Your mind raced with excitement and curiosity, wondering what gift she would bring to the family this time around. This was the first ceremony you got to witness, so you felt truly honored to be here tonight.
Being so focused on this moment, you barely noticed Bruno's hand tightening around yours, almost shaking even. He felt in his heart that something was wrong.
And tragically, he was right.
When the magic of Mirabel's door faded away..so did everyone's joy.
Including your own.
..........
The morning of your ceremony finally came.
And it was a morning you dreaded for years.
Not only had Mirabel failed to get her gift, but your adopted father Bruno suddenly disappeared. He left a note in your room saying he had to go away for a while, and he begged you not to show it to anyone else. Even Casita ensured you didn't.
With absolutely no context as to what happened, you couldn't help but feel worried and sad, especially when your friends became relieved he no longer "haunted" the town. Yet even grown adults refused to speak his name, harboring the mantra of "we don't talk about Bruno" every time someone mentioned him.
"He was a diablo, [y/n]! He only wanted to trick you!"
"I bet he jinxed Mirabel's ceremony."
"With him gone, you might get your gift without worry."
Such hurtful, hateful things were spoken about him. But you couldn't get angry at them, lest they assumed you carried the same bad vibes that he did. So you stayed quiet and tried to help the family out, finding your passion and wondering about your gift for years.
It took a bit longer than usual for your ceremony to finally arrive, but it didn't make the evening preparation any easier. Only Mirabel genuinely understood your worries and talked to you, helping you calm your nerves.
Yet when she left, doubts still ran through your mind.
What if the past repeated itself? What if this was a sign the Encanto has reached its limit? What if Mirabel marked the end of the miracle-giving?
If an actual family member couldn't receive a gift...what chance does an outsider like you have at being blessed with one?
As you paced around the rickety nursery room, you heard a familiar squeaking noise from behind a portrait. And you looked to see a gray rat sneak out of the hole, eyes widening in surprise.
"Huh?" You watched it scurry across the floor towards you, finally realizing. "Ah, did papa leave some of you here to watch over me?" With a sorrowful smile, you knelt down and allowed the rat to climb onto your palm. Then you stood up to place it carefully on your shoulder. "You wanna keep me company at the ceremony? Is that it?"
It nodded, appearing to smile a bit.
'Guess he still cares..I wonder how he knew I was nervous.' Brushing away the tears in your eyes, you saw Casita drop an alarm clock at your feet, and you knew you couldn't wait any longer.
The tradition had to carry on, in hopes that it will continue on for generations to come. Everyone was waiting, and you couldn't disappoint them. Not now. Not after the last time.
But you decided that, gift or no gift, you'll find your purpose here. One way or another.
So with you little rat companion as support, you departed from your room.
"Please..bless me with a miracle. For my sake, for Mirabel's sake...for Padre's sake."
Yet as you muttered that small prayer to yourself, you had no idea that Bruno was actually there, listening to it. He could only tear up as you mentioned his name, guilt wracking every bone in his body while he watched your ceremony happen. All from behind his walls.
He wished he could just come out and give you actual reassurance and comfort. Like a father should. But he was too cowardly and resorted to sending out a rodent.
As pathetic as that seemed, it simply..wasn't the right time. Not with the reputation he has now. He didn't want to spoil your shining moment, but he was glad to know you still loved him and his rats. You didn't turn against him like everyone else.
Only when he noticed the golden light of your new door did he sigh with relief, smiling somberly as he shuffled back into the darkness.
Finally, he did something good for the Family Madrigal.

could you maybe do an encanto imagine of another sibling not getting ‘the gift’ and them maybe being brunos kid?
im so sorry this is so late, ive been sick lately, this is set after the movie /
It was Y/N's big day, the day they get their gift, they were the youngest since they were younger than Antonio. Their dad, Bruno, was proud of them and couldn't wait to see their gift, neither could Y/N!
Y/N stood off to the side with their dad as all the guest got ready for the ceremony. " You ready muffin?" Bruno asked with a smile as he leaned down to his child's height. Y/N nodded eagerly.
" That's my kid." He chuckled and hugged them gently. Dolores peaked her head around the curtain. " Its time" She said gently
Bruno kissed his kids cheek. " I'll be at the door." He said softly before leaving the room. Y/N took in a deep breath as the curtains opened after a few seconds.
They stepped out and saw everyone from town in two rows looking at them. They smiled at their family who was near the stairs. The began to walk down the middle of the row. They looked up by the banister and saw their Dad and Abuela proudly smiling at them
When they reached the stairs they walked over to Abuela. She held the candle lower to them and spoke. " Will you serve this community, and strengthen our home?" She asked as Y/N put their hands on the candle gently.
Y/N nodded. Abuela backed up and let Y/N walk to their door, they looked back at their dad who gave an encouraging nod. They put their handle on the door and waited for it to glow... But it didn't
They looked up in fear and saw the door begin to disappear as their eyes watered. They heard the townsfolk gasp:
" what's happening?" " Why didn't it work?" " Oh no its happening again" " that's the second time" They heard different people whisper as they watch their door disappear.
They looked over at their dad who had a shocked look on his face, Abuela did too, but it was more disappointed. They let out a small sob and ran to the nursery. " Muffin wait!" They heard their dad call after them.
The five year old ran into the nursery and closed the door behind them and flopped onto their bed, Bruno caught the door before it closed and walked over to Y/N. " Muffin.." He said softly, not knowing what to do. The child continued to cry as they looked up at their Dad " I'm sorry" They sobbed.
Bruno gasped and pulled them into his lap and hugged his child close. " oh Y/N. You have nothing to apologize for. This- this is just-" He searched for words as he ran a hand through their hair.
"This just means.. Your meant for something else, something that's more special than needing a gift." He told them.
Y/N hiccupped and looked up at their dad with tears falling from their eyes. " Really?" They asked. Bruno smiled softly and wiped away their tears. " Really" he nodded.
Y/N hugged Bruno again and shut their eyes. " Its ok muffin, I'm here. Everything's ok. I love you muffin" He said to them softly as they began to fall asleep. " I love you too dad" They whispered tiredly. When they were asleep Bruno gently tucked them into bed and kissed their head. " I'm sorry this happened." He whispered. " But I know you'll do great, And I'm staying to help."

Young!Bruno: Lately, every time I'm around Y/N my pulse increases, my breath shortens, and my temperature skyrockets.
Young!Bruno: I think I'm allergic to her now.
*bangs fist on table* This is so cute! And this is my first ever ask, so I'm super, super excited! Yiieeee!
⧖ ⧗ ⧖
Bruno always believed that he knew everything at the wee age of six; fresh from his gift ceremony, praised by the villagers as the prodigal son of the Madrigals, and the ability to literally see the future. But sometimes, there were things his young little mind could not figure out.
"Ay, tonto! It's my time with the rats!" Your chubby little hands reached out and dug your hands under his ruana, trying to look for your furry little friend. He felt his body heat up, breath turning labored, and the thump thump of his little heart pounding against his chest. He shook off the feelings aside, an indignation rising from his throat when you finally took Queso from under his clothes and cuddled with the creature. He pouted, ears still hot.
"You just said a bad word!"
"Nuh-uh! No I didn't!"
"Yes you did! You just said ‘tonto!’"
"Now you're the one saying the bad word!"
You marched forth with childlike defiance, eager to prove your point to the young boy. You leaned in close, and Bruno swore if he leaned in, he'd locked lips with you. He cringed—he was going to get cooties if you're too close to his face!
Despite the notion, he couldn't help but feel that weird sensation again, only this time, it doubled in intensity. He clutched his chest when his heart did flips, clenched his sweaty hands and rubbed it against his ruana, and he took a step back in what he could only describe as embarrassment.
Was he sick? Did he catch something? Did he get cooties? Was he allergic to you? That must be it, why else would he turn red in the face, feel tingly all over, and start to sweat and hyperventilate at the same time?
Bruno knew only one person who could possibly know his ailments.
"Mamá!" He yelled out while running away from you. You stood dumbly, confused, still holding onto your furry rat friend. You blinked once, then twice, and by the third time, you sprinted forward and chased your best friend.
"Why are you running?!"
"Get away from me! I'm allergic to you!"
"What—! Bruno wait!"
"No! Don't come any closer!"
"Ay, wait just a minute, tonto!"
"Don't come any closer! I'll die if you go near me, pendejo!"
"Bad word!"
"Oye, get away!"
Needless to say, the village was confused on why two six year olds were playing chase while one of them was crying up a storm while calling for his mother.
