Vanderpump shaped void in my life about to be filled with....ANTM (again). I need to rewatch browniegate, the horrible makeovers, just Tyra, etc.
Or alternatively I could get into survivor...I've never really watched it and I've heard only good things. I liked big brother so this could be a good one. I hope there are lots of unhinged ppl

✨ Cover Reveal ✨ The author @suzannepark is coming up with her third book Sunny Song Will Never Be Famous. After reading and loving The Perfect Escape and Loathe At First Sight, I cannot wait to read it. Suzanne always comes with unusual and outstanding settings in her books and I am sure this one is no exception. Release Date: June 1, 2021 Blurb: A social media influencer is shipped off to a digital detox summer camp in this funny coming-of-age story, perfect for fans of Jenny Han’s The Summer I Turned Pretty and Love and Gelato. Sunny Song’s Big Summer Goals: 1) Make Rafael Kim my boyfriend (finally!) 2) Hit 100K followers (almost there…) 3) Have the best last summer of high school ever Not on Sunny’s list: accidentally filming a PG-13 cooking video that goes viral (#browniegate). Extremely not on her list: being shipped off to a digital detox farm camp in Iowa (IOWA??) for a whole month. She’s traded in her WiFi connection for a butter churn, and if she wants any shot at growing her social media platform this summer, she’ll need to find a way back online. But between some unexpected friendships and an alarmingly cute farm boy, Sunny might be surprised by the connections she makes when she’s forced to disconnect. New Releases
There's a nice lineup of new books hitting the shelves this week.
An Emotion of Great Delight by Tahereh Mafi HarperCollins
It’s 2003, several months since the US officially declared war on Iraq, and the American political world has evolved. Tensions are high, hate crimes are on the rise, FBI agents are infiltrating local mosques, and the Muslim community is harassed and targeted more than ever. Shadi, who wears hijab, keeps her head down.
She’s too busy drowning in her own troubles to find the time to deal with bigots.
Shadi is named for joy, but she’s haunted by sorrow. Her brother is dead, her father is dying, her mother is falling apart, and her best friend has mysteriously dropped out of her life. And then, of course, there’s the small matter of her heart—
It’s broken.
Shadi tries to navigate her crumbling world by soldiering through, saying nothing. She devours her own pain, each day retreating farther and farther inside herself until finally, one day, everything changes.
She explodes.
An Emotion of Great Delight is a searing look into the world of a single Muslim family in the wake of 9/11. It’s about a child of immigrants forging a blurry identity, falling in love, and finding hope—in the midst of a modern war. — Cover image and summary via Goodreads
Sunny Song Will Never Be Famous by Suzanne Park Sourcebooks Fire
Sunny Song’s Big Summer Goals: 1) Make Rafael Kim my boyfriend (finally!) 2) Hit 100K followers (almost there…) 3) Have the best last summer of high school ever

A Chorus Rises (A Song Below Water #2) by Bethany C. Morrow Tor Teen
Teen influencer Naema Bradshaw has it all: she’s famous, privileged, has “the good hair”— and she’s an Eloko, a person who’s gifted with a song that woos anyone who hears it. Everyone loves her — well, until she’s cast as the awful person who exposed Tavia’s secret siren powers.
Now, she’s being dragged by the media. No one understands her side: not her boyfriend, not her friends, nor her Eloko community. But Naema knows the truth and is determined to build herself back up — no matter what.
When a new, flourishing segment of Naema’s online supporters start targeting black girls, however, Naema must discover the true purpose of her magical voice. — Cover image and summary via Goodreads
The Passing Playbook by Isaac Fitzsimons Dial
Fifteen-year-old Spencer Harris is a proud nerd, an awesome big brother and a Messi-in-training. He’s also transgender. After transitioning at his old school leads to a year of bullying, Spencer gets a fresh start at Oakley, the most liberal private school in Ohio.
At Oakley, Spencer seems to have it all: more accepting classmates, a decent shot at a starting position on the boy’s soccer team, great new friends, and maybe even something more than friendship with one of his teammates. The problem is, no one at Oakley knows Spencer is trans – he’s passing.
So when a discriminatory law forces Spencer’s coach to bench him after he discovers the ‘F’ on Spencer’s birth certificate, Spencer has to make a choice: cheer his team on from the sidelines or publicly fight for his right to play, even if it means coming out to everyone – including the guy he’s falling for. — Cover image and summary via Goodreads
Simone Breaks All the Rules (Simone Breaks All the Rules #1) by Debbie Rigaud Scholastic
Simone Thibodeaux’s life is sealed in a boy-proof container.
Her strict Haitian immigrant parents enforce no-dating rules and curfews, and send Simone to an all-girls school. As for prom? Simone is allowed to go on one condition: her parents will select her date (a boy from a nice Haitian immigrant family, obviously).
Simone is desperate to avoid the humiliation of the set up — especially since she’s crushing on a boy she knows her parents wouldn’t approve of. With senior year coming to a close, Simone makes a decision. She and her fellow late-bloomer friends will create a Senior Year Bucket List of all the things they haven’t had a chance to do. On the list: kissing a boy, sneaking out of the house, skipping class (gasp!), and, oh yeah — choosing your own prom date.
But as the list takes on a life of its own, things get more complicated than Simone expected. She’ll have to discover which rules are worth breaking, and which will save her from heartbreak. — Cover image and summary via Goodreads
Instructions for Dancing by Nicola Yoon Penguin
Evie Thomas doesn’t believe in love anymore. Especially after the strangest thing occurs one otherwise ordinary afternoon: She witnesses a couple kiss and is overcome with a vision of how their romance began . . . and how it will end. After all, even the greatest love stories end with a broken heart, eventually.
As Evie tries to understand why this is happening, she finds herself at La Brea Dance studio, learning to waltz, fox-trot, and tango with a boy named X. X is everything that Evie is not: adventurous, passionate, daring. His philosophy is to say yes to everything–including entering a ballroom dance competition with a girl he’s only just met.
Falling for X is definitely not what Evie had in mind. If her visions of heartbreak have taught her anything, it’s that no one escapes love unscathed. But as she and X dance around and toward each other, Evie is forced to question all she thought she knew about life and love. In the end, is love worth the risk? — Cover image and summary via Goodreads

Cassie Grisham
Place: 8th
Panel Call-out Average: 6.17
Personal Call-out Average: 8.16
Favourite Performance: Lee Jeans Topless
Least Favourite Performance: YJ Stinger Energy Drink Trampoline
Eligibility to Win/Place Higher:
Cassie was eliminated at the right time.
Thoughts:
Cassie was quite simply the worst of the best (or best of the worst depending on your taste) in terms of the contestants of Cycle 3. Most of her portfolio was solid and definitely usable, but never that eye-catching or outstanding. She constantly delivered satisfactory pictures, but that wasn’t enough when everyone else was bringing shots of higher calibre that she couldn’t manage. Her lack of variety dragged her down, and she was more on the commercial side. I did like her look, but it didn’t blow my socks off or anything. She left at the right time. Cassie was… I haven’t made my mind up about her, because obviously I was worried for her eating disorder, but I didn’t want to let that dictate my opinion of her. At the end of the day, Cassie was usually lowkey and sullen, though I think the disorder and the pressure of the competition probably brought those into the foreground more than anything. I actually live for her reactions during Browniegate 04, but apart from that she never gave us anything iconic. I will admit I wanted to hug her when that designer kept commenting on her body and you could see her eyes dull even further.

ANTM s3e4 browniegate
Wtf. A girl left all her shit out in the kitchen. Well most of these girls leave the kitchen a mess, like EGG SHELLS ON THE COUNTER, and then one girl goes "I'm gunna write 'Cassie clean up your shit' in her expensive brownies that she refuses to share" and these girls are freaking out. Jesus. Moral of the story, clean up after yourself and put your food away.

The Aphrodisia— Browniegate 04
(Couldn’t find the original clip so I’m putting the full episode. Skip to 6:30 for the whole chaos to ensue lol)
Everyone remembers this moment, and it was equal parts hilarious, ludicrous and dramatically entertaining. I mean, how can any of us forget the iconic “Respeito” or “I’ll see y’all at dinner” or even better “WHO WANTS TO LIVE WITH YOU ANN?”
Honestly, this was blown way out of proportion in a way that only reality television could do and it was actually glorious to watch it go down. On the one hand, I will defend that Ann and Eva should have been less childish and just told Cassie to her face that she needed to clean up, which was a legitimate concern in a house where so many girls have to co-habit. And Yaya inserting herself was so iconically extra, with her Portuguese shirt (and I almost fell of my chair the first time I heard her respond to Ann’s assertion that it was a joke with “Some people think it’s funny to murder people”). Also, Cassie going into full-on bad-arse mode was amazing.
To top it all off, Toccara chanting with the girls in their room, and Kelle absolutely living for the drama is TV gold. I mean, was there any moment that wasn’t absurdly comical? From Norelle claiming her innocence when Amanda and Yaya were eavesdropping and Eva nonchalantly doodling on paper giving zero fucks, this was the moment of Cycle 3.
Special thanks to Amanda for dubbing this iconic catfight with a proper name. Those precious brownies were not mutilated in vain after all, i guess.
