Of course, I’m a week late, because again, I don’t know how to plan my life.

Also I hate the title hahaaaa

Summary: Kakeru could feel his face getting warm under Haiji’s gaze. He knew what he wanted to say, he just had to say it.

He took a deep breath. “I was actually thinking about you tonight, just before… When I was with everyone…” ~

Kakeru is starting to lead the new team at Kansei University. Haiji comes back to Aotake again for the first time since he moved out. When Kakeru sees him, they end up talking about new teams, old teams, and what they mean to each other.

“the scenic route”

Summary: 

Shindou had been many things to Musa over the years: his best friend, his teammate, kinda sorta maybe the biggest crush he’s ever had…

And as of graduate school, Shindou would be his roommate again. This time, in a tiny, one room apartment.

What else would Shindou become to him along the way?

Chapter 1: 

There were multiple paths to Shindou’s apartment.

Most days, he took the shortest route. Of course, of course he’d take the shortest route. The sooner he made it to Shindou, the better.

Sometimes, on days when the weather was just right, he’d take the scenic route. And pictures, he’d take so many pictures, all to share when he arrived.

Some days, though. Some days, he’d take the longest path possible. Because there was a feeling bubbling inside of him, bubbling and bubbling until his heart was ready to burst:

Good, ol’ fashioned, run-of-the-mill anxiety.

The thing was, in Japan, Christmas was for couples.

But weekends were for Shindou.

Well, more specifically, for spending time with Shindou at his place. It was no big deal, really. Just two friends, doing just friend things. Like sharing a meal they made together where their hands brushed at least twice every time (not that he was counting), watching romantic movies cause they both just so happened to like them (or horror movies, sitting too close, Shindou letting Musa cling to his arm), sitting on the tiny balcony that barely fit the two of them to watch the stars and talk about anything and everything (and Shindou never mentioned even a tiny hint at any new love interest, not that Musa was paying super close attention or anything like that), and setting their futons side by side (and definitely not stealing glances at Shindou in the morning to catch how pretty his lashes were as his eyes slowly fluttered awake).

Typical friend things.

And Christmas just happened to be on a weekend.

They were going to be together. For Christmas. Alone.  

No big deal at all.

Nope.

Just like any other weekend.

Day 6 of @kazetsuyo2020 : reunion

His hands were sweating, he started feeling hot, like the air was missing, his heart was pumping fast in his chest. He was nervous. He was... scared.

That was the day of their reunion and in those years Kakeru told himself to be braver, to not hide anymore his feelings, who he really was. They taught it to him, so now why was he so afraid of seeing them again?

Joji appeared at his side, taking one of his hand.

"What's wrong?" he asked curious, immediately noticing that something was off with Kakeru. But then he chuckled, trying to ease his tension. "Don't worry, everything will be fine."

Maybe Kakeru was so nervous because that was something he really cared. Someone he really cared.

He and Joji would finally introduce themselves as boyfriends.

He smiled, squeezing back Joji's hand.

"You're right" he said, because it was so easy feeling calm next to Joji.
