We get caught up in the successes and “hustlehood” of others that we think that we didn’t do anything of worth in 2020. 🤔 It’s true that many of your goals may have to wait until next year, and yeah things didn’t go as you expected, BUT SIS keep in mind you made it through one of the worst years you’ve likely experienced in some time. We are all going to need space for collective healing to process everything that happened in 2020.

So yeah, if “all you did” was get through this year I want you to realize how major that is.

The 2020 Summer Nail Trends You Should Try

These last few weeks have been a lot for us. From the Covid-19 pandemic to now being confronted with another police brutality situation. It seems like we can not get a break or a second to ourselves. While we have to keep going, we must remember to take care of ourselves. I saw a quote today that stated:

“Our ancestors weren’t allowed to rest or make space for self-car. We honor them when we put ourselves first. We honor them when we willfully slow down. We honor them when we refuse to work ourselves to death to benefit a system crated to rise on our labor” cc. @browngirlselfcare

While we continue to fight, let’s make sure to take care of ourselves. One way to wine down after work or even after a protest is to do a self-care action. This can be reading a book, watching a movie & our favorite doing your nails! Check out these fun summer nails you should try! Some of these may be a bit complex but worth a try honestly.
