Skin colour refs from official 2D and 3D art of Mouthwashing characters for those who need it! I did my best to pick their midtones, but in the case of Curly, most of his shadows are VERY grey.

(Curly's ID also wasn't used because it's too destroyed and AFAIK we have no other 2D art)

There in untapped potential in mini ‘don’t tell dad’ rituals for the bat siblings. Not big things like ‘crashed the batmobile and please don’t tell Bruce it was me’, but more of small sibling stuff.

Like and two siblings at any given moment going on a long car ride around to no particular place and updating each other on life (and saying way too much information), and then when Bruce later asks if anyone know about the new ‘boy’ (gn) someone is seeing half the table just looks at the phone and shrugs like the liars they are.

Or like Bruce mentioning Dick is going to be late for a meeting because he stayed up late the night before working a case and Jason just sitting there knowing for a fact it is actually because Dick spent half the night partying with the Titans because he crashed at Dick’s place and was woken up at 3am with Dick passing out on the couch, but Bruce doesn’t need to know that.

Or Tim and Duke having a big fight fake fights for fun with each other and as they are getting scolded by Bruce, they make eye contact and just can’t stop themselves from laughing.

Or Steph and Cass watching a show Damian isn’t allowed to watch with him because they enjoy it and Bruce isn’t home, then having to quickly grab the remote and change the channel as they hear Bruce’s car pull up.

Or even having screaming matches and 30 minutes later going out to get some lunch together, leaving Bruce, chronic only child, baffled.

I just think there is so much potential in unspoken sibling agreements between the bat kids.

Waaaaaghhh!! I love the art where Sol has a bit of a rounded jaw! I think he looks so much more mischievous! Now he has an angular jaw, which I still like, but it makes him look grumpier! One of them is the tricky swindler while the other is the fearsome grumbler!

This is purely an aesthetic difference though. They’re both pretty grumpy

Ngl I usually reference Daisuke's illustrations for Sol's face more than his in-game model so I always forget that they totally changed his face shape in the 3D realm (Strive & Xrd in-game screenshots vs illustrations from Artworks GGX 2000-2007):

But his very, very, first—from 1995—3D model had a jaw shape closer to how Daisuke generally draws it, which is interesting. And a little funny (from Dengeki PlayStation vol.10, October '95):

I love how inconsistently Daisuke draws him in general though, genuinely. It's very "I'm the artist and this is what I feel like drawing today," which I respect and feel on a spiritual level haha

Anybody with a working set of eyes ( which is ironic coming from a bitch that wears glasses and can’t see without them, i— ) can see what the color black does for Christopher and his warm undertones. With his complexion, you sometimes see hints of gold, peach or olive ( depends on the time of the year and how much sun he gets ) and that works exceptionally well with the color black. It makes him glow almost. 😩
