This was my favorite episode for the longest time!!! (It's still my second favorite)

But there's are all older art I made while I was hyperfixated on Danny Phantom for the first time earlier this semester

But they were still cute so I thought I'd post them!!

I particularly like the drawings I made from the intro (especially especially the first one)

Episode " My Brother's Keeper"

Another redraw in Studio Ghibli style. This time I used Mahito ("The Boy and the Heron") as a reference for Danny.

Liu Qingge, contrary to popular belief, tried to avoid Shen Qingqiu. He didn’t go out of his way to pick fights, in fact, he would prefer not to see the other peak lord at all. That also meant he avoided the beast keeping peak lord, Shen Qingqiu’s precious brother. This wasn’t hard to do- he tended to send his head disciple to meetings instead of coming himself, and was habitually hard to find- always off in some forgotten corner with some insane plant or animal.

But fate was never that kind.

To unkind to prevent Shen Yuan from obliterating a beast that got the drop on him. Apparently it was invasive. But now Shen Yuan is covered in blood and viscera, smiling like an angel, offering Liu Qingge a hand. He owed this beautiful (covered in blood and monster piss and sweat and unknown number of other bodily fluids) man a life debt.

I’m so upset that Shannon hates us. Wdym she never properly wrote a scene revealing how distraught Fitz was when Keefe left to Neverseen? Wdym we never got to see them actually talk about the pain in both their hearts after that decision????

This is such an interesting scene to me because when Spectra asks Danny what he is supposed to be he can't give her a proper answer. Instead he gives not a clear response and ends ups saying ¨I don't know¨.

And its worth of analysing since it shows that Danny has an identity crisis about his nature of being a halfa. He doesn't know to which world he belongs to- human or ghost. Spectra even suggests that he is a ¨ghost trying to fit with humans¨, something that Danny doesn't fully deny because again, he doesn't know what to answer.

It gets sadder when you think about how Danny sees himself as a ¨freak¨ due to being half ghost-half human. It isn't hard to see why: He is very unique in nature, probably something he believes that shouldn't exist in reality yet here he is.

It makes me kinda of sad that this concept wasn't explored further because it has so much potential for character arcs for Danny and exploring how he views himself as a halfa.

Episode "My Brother's Keeper"

I want to study a little bit the Studio Ghibli style and try to redraw some scenes with it. This is my first attempt. I also tried to apply " No-face" design from "Spirited Away" to Spectra ( opaque limbs and semi-transparent body).
