Really recommend this podcast interview with Claire Williams where she talks about Williams, the business of F1 and also the challenges women face to be seen and respected in the paddock and on the grid.

Two bits that stood out to me...

Rokit reneging on their sponsorship payments nearly finished the team at the end of 2019. Someone (Michael Latifi) offered to plug the gap to get them on the grid for 2020, then covid hit and they had to sell at the middle of the year. She thinks if they'd had been able to hold on one more year, the sponsorship interest from DTS would have meant they could have kept the team...

She asked her marketing team to draw up a list of Female owned brands to target for sponsorship when she took over as TP because she saw it as an untapped market that other teams were overlooking - every single brand they asked turned them down.

i wish that more people in SSB fandom shipped Ike with the Hero of Twilight before he got swapped out for botw Link in SSBU because you have the comedy potential of Link trying to hide the fact that he's a Wolf sometimes from Ike... only for Ike to just shrug and accept that Link is some weird foreign Wolf Laguz who happens to not have fluffy ears.

You know what's fucked up about this entire Horner situation?

They were never gonna let him go. They did the investigation just to fulfill a formality. They even set the grounds for today's announcement by already posting yesterday:

"Any statement from Red Bull GmbH is expected to reflect a thorough and fair investigation, but matters of confidentiality are likely to limit the amount of information shared publicly."

By this, they just meant that whatever bullshit we post tomorrow (translation: we're not kicking him out) it'll be fair and impartial. And if someone asks us any questions (translation: we know we'll get the backlash) we can't say anything because it's a matter of confidentiality and we can't share private information (translation: you can fuck off, we don't have anything to prove him innocent, so we'll use the confidentiality clause).

And that is exactly what they did! They posted that their investigation was "impartial" and "fair" and it contains "private information".

They had been setting the stage for this all along!! Who are they trying to fool though?

I hope she takes him to court and drags him in the mud.

You know what kind of vibes the two main character doggo colour schemes give me? Twilight princess Link (wolf link) and the ancient hero's wolf (the gold/white wolf you encounter in-game and learn techniques from.)
