It is frustrating that the Chief Justice of the United States refused to address the aspect of our letter addressed to him as chair of the Judicial Conference.  Close reading of text is an attribute of a good judge.  Simply ignoring text is often a sign that there’s not a good answer. In this case, there’s not a good answer: the Judicial Conference is a body created by Congress and funded by Congress, enforcing laws passed by Congress.  It is an administrative body, not an adjudicative body. Even if there were a proper separation of powers argument here, which I don’t believe, it would not extend to the [Judicial] Conference. 

Roberts could bring this crisis to an end quickly. He could issue a statement calling on Alito to recuse himself. He could join with other justices in an opinion declaring that Alito’s continued participation in cases involving Trump violates federal law.

I'm not sure it's particularly good … It's a one-shot … with the potential for more if inspiration strikes.

Santana sat in a booth at the far end of the twenty-four hour diner. She had no idea how long she'd been there, only that the light outside had changed from the colors of dusk to early twilight to night to deep night to dawn. It was past dawn now; maybe seven-thirty or so? Santana didn't know. She was tired; it had been almost twenty-four hours since she'd slept. She was tired, cold, and miserable.

She sighed and looked into her coffee cup. She felt terrible. How could she have just walked away like that? Just leave Brittany. And she couldn't even call her; she'd left her phone, her wallet, her keys … everything … in her purse, in the trunk of the car, when she started walking. She just kept walking until she found herself in this diner with about fifty dollars in her pocket and nothing else. She shivered; it was January in Northeast Indiana so, of course, it was cold and she'd left without her jacket. She signaled the waitress over and asked for a refill on coffee and a cup of soup.

“Chicken noodle or Italian wedding?” The older woman asked.

“Chicken noodle, please,” Santana answered, her voice scratchy with unshed tears.

She had just finished her soup when someone sat across from her.

“What's her name?”

Santana looked up, her forehead scrunched in confusion.

“Whose name?”

“The woman that's got you looking like your dog just died and you're the one that killed him.”

“Who says there's a woman?”

“Honey, your face, right now, isn't about a man treating you wrong or lost love; it's the face of someone who's broken and feels like she's the one who did the breaking. Only another woman makes a woman feel like that.”

“Brittany. Her name is Brittany.”

“What'd you do?”

“I walked away from her while we were talking about our wedding.”

“So, you don't want to get married?”

Santana shook her head. “I do. More than anything. We were in this barn with her mother, my mother, and our wedding coordinator. And I was trying to tell them what Britt and I wanted and … they weren't listening. Just kept talking like I hadn't said anything. Britt's a peacekeeper so she was trying to keep everyone happy. Something just … snapped. I figured, no one was listening so I didn't really need to be there and I started walking. Seemed like none of them noticed. I ended up here; it was the first place I came across.”

“Call her?”

Santana huffed a laugh. “I left my phone, keys, wallet … everything … in the trunk of the car.”

“So you're stuck here until … someone finds you? You remember a phone number and borrow a phone?”

“Pretty much.” Santana swiped at a renegade tear that slipped down her face.

Santana looked up into those ocean blue eyes she loved so much. “I'm so sorry, Britt,” she whispered hoarsely.

“Baby,” a soft smile graced those perfect lips, “I'm the one who's sorry. I should have listened and I definitely should have noticed when you left.” She reached across the table and took one of Santana's hands. “You're freezing!” Brittany sighed. “Wait here.” She got up and exited the diner, coming back a few moments later with a hoodie and Santana's purse. “Here.”

Santana smiled gratefully as she pulled on the sweatshirt. She pulled her phone out of her purse; fifteen missed text messages, five missed calls. Most from Brittany but three texts and one call from her mother.

“I didn't realize you didn't have your phone,” Brittany said sheepishly.

“How mad is my mother?” Santana gave a wry grin.

Brittany laughed. “She went from angry to worried to pissed to frantic. She's asleep at the inn right now.”

“How'd you even find me?”

“I started last night and picked a direction, drove for about ten miles before turning around and trying another direction. Of course, you were in the last direction I checked. I sent your mom a text telling her I found you so she'll get it when she wakes up.

“So. What do you wanna do?”

“I wanna marry you … if you'll still have me.”

Brittany smiled softly. “Of course I will, silly. I have an idea.”

“Okay.”

“Let's go get married. Right now. Today. You, me, a justice of the peace, and it's done. We can do the big wedding they want as a celebration of our marriage. But today? We have the wedding we want. Maybe not exactly but … honestly, I kind of felt over-whelmed and over-looked, too. You're right. They weren't listening.”

Santana smiled, the first real smile since she'd walked out of that barn. “Really? You'd do that?”

“Santana, all I care about is being married. I really don't care HOW we get there. I just wanna be your wife and have you be mine. All this planning and back and forth about colors and who to invite and who not to invite and everything is pointless to me. A wedding isn't a marriage. Like, yeah, I wanna celebrate with all our friends and family but we wanted simple. They decided to turn a simple barn wedding into this 'affair'” Brittany rolled her eyes, “so … let's just go and get married. We get what we want; a simple ceremony tying us together and then, in a couple of weeks, they get the big to-do they want.”

“Have I told you lately that I love you?”

Brittany smiled. “Tell me again.”

A grin split Santana's face. “I love you, Brittany S. Pierce. Let's go get married.”

Brittany stood up and offered Santana her hand. Santana dropped a twenty on the table, took Brittany's hand, and they left the diner.

Hi all friends <3 If you're seeing this, you probably know me, but my name is Britt, or B. I never thought I would have to be in this position, but here I am! As someone who works in the film and television industry, but is not part of WGA or any union, work is nonexistent at the moment due to the writers strike. I have an out of industry job starting at the beginning of June and have been applying relentlessly to other positions, but nothing has come through yet. It's impossible to get through to California unemployment, and my delivery driving background check has not come through yet.

As it is, I am worried I will not be able to make rent at the end of this month- and that's already without paying my car loan for the month as well. Hey everybody! Admins here to wish you a Happy late 4th of July and we hope you all enjoyed your holiday especially if any of you were off from work! Getting to the point of the post, we’ve been keeping a close eye on you all the last month or two and we’ve been noticing a few trends that we feel like are ignoring some of the key values here at ISRTM. So, let’s get into some things.

Connections. We would never discourage y’all from making friends here on dash, however we’ve noticed some of them actively ignore television and the nature of their relationships as a whole. Two wrestlers who are currently feuding or were feuding at some point in the past CANNOT be good friends now/again with no explanation. No, you can’t just point to them being friends IRL and call it kayfabe. For example, if Britt and Jamie began feuding tomorrow, does it make sense to still have them the best of friends? No, it wouldn’t. Now when the feud is done whatever the nature of their friendship is entirely up to the muns, BUT—there needs to be an explanation. You can do this via paras, text messages, private posts, public posts, etc. Again, it does not make sense to have 2 people who were in a blood feud be friends at random without any sort of WHY. This leads into our second point: feuding.

We noticed a lot of y’all are apprehensive when it comes to feuds/arguments and while we completely understand, we’re all adults here. None of us have gone through life without fights and your muses are no different. Shying away from fake conflict leads to some of y’all outright ignoring the feuds on TV and that defeats the purpose of a kayfabe RP. Y’all’s muses should be fighting & arguing during feuds, not ignoring each other. Keep in mind boundaries & communication with each other, because remember: IC =/= OOC.

Heel & face alignments do not dictate who is friends with who. We’ve said it before and we’ll say it again: anyone can be friends here, but there needs to be an explanation behind it. Also, you cannot expect everyone to be friendly with your muse no matter whether they’re heels or babyfaces. Not every heel needs to be friends just because they’re both evil and not every face needs to be friends because they’re nice. Not every character is gonna agree with the other and if you play a character that has done really bad things, expect them to not be well liked. If that’s not something you can handle, you don’t need to play that character.

Characterization. Guys, we love y’all but we really need to study our muses. We understand a lot of y’all crave connections but please do not sacrifice the muse’s personality and history for the sake of ships and connections. Play the character as you truly feel they’d be in kayfabe, not how you want them to be or a specific kind of character you’ve always wanted to play. We allow OCs if that’s what y’all wanna do.

Be HONEST with yourselves. Not every muse is a badass. Not every muse can beat up the other. There is nothing wrong with your muse losing or being a total geek. Everybody is different. For example, GUNTHER is a monster heel that could more than likely destroy majority of the characters here. It makes sense to portray him that way. IT IS HOW HE IS PORTRAYED ON TV. Like this post and message us with “yes, chef”. This is how we will know if you’re actually reading. If you don’t send the message, we will consider kicking you. The Miz is a chickenshit heel who runs from confrontation most of the time and acts smug about it. No he cannot act like a badass and beat up everybody just because you want him to. Again, if that’s not a muse you wanna play then do not pick them up.

When physical altercations DO happen, the outcome is to be somewhere in the middle unless one mun offers to have theirs lose entirely or it doesn’t make sense in any way. For example, Fuego Del Sol cannot hold his own against Roman Reigns. That’s obvious. Any other matchup should acknowledge the current booking of the characters and their strength on television. Also, COMMUNICATE.

We need some more effort from y’all. We’re tired of logging on after a full work day and seeing that the dash has barely moved or nothing interesting happened. We’re tired of not seeing paras, we’re tired of the same topics, we’re tired of no plots. We’re tired of doing events for you guys and hardly anyone participates. Yes, we know everyone has their own lives but at this point y’all either need to make time or leave. All of the admins have full-time jobs and we make the time. Roleplay IS a hobby, but nobody half-asses a hobby. If I like to paint in my spare time, I put effort into my craft. It’s the same for creative writing, which is what RP is at its core, especially KAYFABE RP. We’re not interested in their everyday lives, we’re interested in their storylines. Now if you don’t wanna put in that much effort, you don’t feel you like can, if you disagree with what’s being said here, that’s fine. But you don’t need to be here. There are plenty of non-AU groups out there and no, our feelings wouldn’t be hurt if you left. We’re not holding you hostage. This is a roleplay blog, a multimuse that contains all original characters. All muses are always available, but I do have a main muse; the favorite.

NOTE: some of my muses are able to speak different languages. I do not, I only speak English. So if this ever comes up, I will be using google translator, so please be forgiving of errors.

Below the cut are my rules and how I run my blog. I apologize for it's length.

First, a little bit about me! I am autistic and have adhd. Forgive me if I occasionally have trouble understanding something or if I'm socially awkward. I don't intentionally want to upset anyone. I can only offer my best. I am a huge animal lover and I may post pictures of my service dog here and there.

I don't mind NON-roleplay blogs following me. Feel free to reblog memes, quotes, images, gifs, I prefer that you reblog from me. DO NOT reblog my roleplays unless you're the recipient, my headcanons, answered asks about myself or my characters.

Please tell me if you need a trigger warning. I rarely use trigger warnings, especially given that my blog is dedicated to dark themes and characters. So it can be difficult for me to really understand what needs one. I personally have no triggers.

Emileeah stood in the far part of the tunnel to the stage, capturing pictures of Wardlow standing on stage basking in his win. Once she got a few good shots, she moved back into the guerilla looking at some of the pictures she had taken, before taking some more pictures of Orange Cassidy and the Bestfriends, getting ready to go out for a match. Once Micheals music ended, the bestfriends and OC moved to get in position and Emileeah moved to lean against the brick wall, looking at the shots she captured.

She hadn’t really been paying attention until Ares started to yip. She looked up at saw Micheal making his way straight towards her in his sweaty glory. Emileeah moved her camera in front of her face and snapped a picture of him. Micheal stayed unfazed but had one thing in mind. She let the camera hang from her neck as Micheal got closer. Once Micheal was close enough he put his hands on Emileeahs face and brought her to her tippy toes and smashed his lips onto hers. Emileeah moaned into the kiss and tried to pull him closer.

Emileeah was snapped out her daydream when Micheal looked at her up and down after calling her name. The kiss didn’t actually happen. None of it did. Emileeah blinked a few times and shook her head. Micheal tilted his head.

“You okay small stuff?” He asked her as he bent down and petted Ares.

“Yea yea, just was thinking about something for pictures, sorry” Emileeah replied sheepishly. God was she embarrassed.

“You sure your okay?”

“Yea” she smiles at him.

“Okay, I’m gonna take Ares off your hands and go get cleaned up. I’ll meet up with you when I’m done okay?” Micheal asks. Emileeah grabs a hold of her camera that was hanging around her neck and smiled up at Micheal.

“Sounds good” she says. He kisses her forehead and walks off with Ares. Once he was out of sight, Emileeah let out a long sigh. Britt who was across the hall, had seen her daze before Micheal had come back and made her way over to her. Britt leaned against the wall next to her.

“Sooo, what was that about?” Britt asks, bumping her shoulder slightly. Emileeah looked over at Britt and bit her lip.

“I totally just daydreamed Micheal kissing me. Like on the lips.” Emileeah says sheepishly. Britt looked at her with a raised eyebrow.

“Well well well” britt says with a smile. Emileeah waves her off.

“I…I don’t even know” she shakes her head.

“I say go for it” Britt shrugs. Emileeah looks at her a little shocked.

“Oh please Em. I see you two. He’s totally putting the moves on you, which I haven’t seen since me and his wrestling early days….although that girl was a bitch…not my point. He likes you. And don’t think I didn’t see how red you were the other day before me and Austin came and sat with y’all…what did he say to you?” Britt asks with a smug look. Emileeah giggles and waves her off.

“I am not telling you that” Emileeah laughs. Britt giggles.

“Ooooohhhhh okay okay, but I say go for it” Britt says.

“Maybe” Emileeah says.

“Cool, I gotta go find Austin, I’ll text you okay?” Britt asks. Emileeah nods. Britt pulls her into a hug and kisses her cheek.

“Love you girl” she says as she walks off. Emileeah laughs and smiles. Britt really was a great friend.

Emileeah had finished posting the pictures that she transferred from her camera, to the social media accounts when she heard Ares paws and nails on the concrete. She looked up and saw Micheal and Ares coming straight towards her.

“Hey small stuff” Micheal says leaning on her desk.

“Hey” she smiles up at him. Ares barks at her. Emileeah turns her attention to Ares and gives his head a kiss and pets him.

“Hi boy” she says.

“Oh so he gets a kiss. Damn Ares, stealing my small stuff” Micheal says. Emileeahs heart skips a beat as she hugs Ares around his neck.

“But look at how cute he is!” She says with a pout. Micheal bends down and looks Emileeah in her eyes. Emileeah tried not to look down at Micheals thighs, they were stretching the fabric so tight.

“He is cute, I’ll give him that, but not as cute as you and you know it” he says, as Ares backs up a little to look at his dad and Emileeah. Emileeah went silent, the tension between the two building more and more with every second. Micheal looks over her face, her cheeks had a red hue and her eyes where shy but he just couldn’t look away. Emileeah turns her head to look over at Ares. Micheals hand reaches out to her cheek and turns her face to him. Micheal take a chance and leans forward and pulls Emileeahs head in a little bit and places his lips on hers. Emileeah squeaked a little when she knew what was happening. Micheal was kissing her. She suddenly pulls away. Micheal furrows his eyebrows a little and looks at Emileeah.

“Okay daydream over now Em” she chided herself. She bunches the bridge of her nose and takes a deep breath. Micheal raises an eyebrow and smirks a little. She thought she was daydreaming. Emileeah opened her eyes and saw a smirking Wardlow.

“Not daydreaming small stuff” Micheal says. Emileeahs mouth drops open. She blinks a few times. Then she pinches her arm and realizes that just actually happened. A small squeak falls from her throat making Micheal let out a quiet growl. Emileeah covers her mouth with both hands. Micheal chuckles.

“I…oh….uh” Emileeah giggles embarrassed.

“Do you want me to do it again?” Micheal asks. Emileeah looks into Micheals eyes and nods just enough he sees and grabs her cheeks in both his hands and places his lips back on hers. Emileeahs hands grip into Micheals forearms as the kiss grows more intense and Micheals tongue pries Emileeahs mouth open, he inserts his, gently caressing his tongue with yours. All too soon, Micheal pulls away.

“Wanna go get some food and relax in my room?” Micheal asks. Emileeah smiles shyly nodding. Micheal stands up and grabs her hand and helps her up. Emileeah grabs her camera bag and purse and Micheal puts his bag on his shoulder and Ares leash, walking out of the building together.

I think it was in God Only Knows where I wrote an exchange between Brittany and Rachel where Britt rationalised her tolerance of Rachel by saying Santana didn’t like Lord Tubbington but looked out for him because she knew he was important to Brittany. Then Rachel was like ‘um are you comparing me to your cat?’ And yeah, that honestly sums the two of them up for me. It’s like everyone is so focused on the fact that Santana and Rachel are yelling at each other they don’t notice a) the fact that they’re holding hands while doing so and b) Brittany is quietly and contentedly setting all of Rachel’s stuff on fire somewhere in the bg. And if I had any artistic talent whatsoever I totally would’ve drawn that scenario and posted it in response to your ask instead of blabbing on and on like an idiot, but oh well.

As for other friendship headcanons, I could go on all day and probably have a few in my Santana tag already. But just for fun, and because he so rarely pops up in my fics, a fave little wildcard of mine is that Miketana actually text the most often out of any other friendship pairing. But it’s hardly ever about anything important. Mostly they just exchange super dark memes, or random videos but then sandwiched between those are random sprinkles of life updates like “I broke up with Brittany” or “Rachel and Kurt kicked me out.” So they basically always have the headline info about each others lives but rarely unpack it enough together to know the finer details because soon enough Mike will be like “anywayyys here’s this cool ramen recipe I found.” Or Santana will send a video of guy break dancing or doing something crazy with his body like ‘anywayssss is this you?’ then Mike will reply within a few hours with a video of himself doing it perfectly like ‘no but this is’ and Santana is like ‘👍.’ Then she immediately sends another message about how she’s going as an absent father to Rachel’s Halloween party because she’s 100% certain Mike will understand that means she’s not going at all and respond with “Me too 😂😂😂.” If anyone asks, they hardly know each other. But no one ever asks, so…
