Well wow!! Britney is featured in the Smithsonian’s National Portrait Gallery exhibition called ‘Eye Pop: The Celebrity Gaze’. The star studded exhibits are meant to show how celebrity images are “cultivated and evolve in pop culture.” In particular, Britney’s exhibit piece is titled, “(Pop) Icon: Britney, 2010. The artist, Luke DuBois, created a mashup of images from Britney’s many iconic music videos. "The small piece is housed within a decorative gilt frame that would normally surround religious artwork, playing on the idea that the pop icon is an object of veneration.
