immediately did blake’s eyes flicker down to where she knew his white shirt hid scar marks, full lips turning down in a frown as brows knitted together. she blamed herself for that, even if the attack had been at ilia’s hand. it was irrational, she knew deep down it wasn’t, but the guilt associated with blows taken for her sake ? it might never leave her. her semblance was defensive, every time one of her friends took the blow, it should have been one of the clones. she still couldn’t excuse ilia for what she’d done. she loved her friend, but in comparison to stealing dust cargo and breaking into facilities, sun’s injury had been near inexcusable. she took comfort in the fact that sun was so forgiving. she, too, strode to be as benevolent someday. it was one of the things she adored about him.

blake had thought long and hard about that response, but when given the chance to vocalise her emotions it was difficult. did she trust ilia completely ? no, not yet, but she was still willing to decimate the menagerian white fang in order to get her back. she knew there was still good in her.   ‘   when ilia and i were still recruits in the white fang, she told me a story about how she broke the teeth of some atlas prep students making fun of people dying in a mining accident.   ’   blake decided to forgo the fact that ilia’s parents had been in said mining accident.   ‘   despite ilia’s justification in her rage, at the time, she regretted it. maybe not so much the punching but, she hated that the violence made her feel that good. whether she still feels the same way or not, she didn’t like the person she was becoming.   ’   blake let out a long exhale.

ah yes. the anger hc. rubs my hands together.

sage has a temper. plain and simple. he hides it well and has learned over the years how to both keep himself in check and release his frustration/anger in ways that aren’t destructive. 

that being said, he isn’t always successful. one of the first people to find this out is, in fact, sun. so far, sun is the only person who has witnessed sage’s cold anger. his anger is detached and logical. his anger is indisputable facts and articulate expressions of his feelings. his tendency is to exit the situation once he’s made his point or he senses that there’s no purpose in continuing to argue.

if he’s angry enough, sage holds grudges. he will remember what someone did or said. he will remind them of that when they least expect it. he is petty enough to not speak to them or help them. i said this earlier – he’s not arrogant. but he is prideful and stubborn af. 

this is fodder for another hc, but his temper is tied to his aura. that, in turn, is tied to his tattoos.

blake’s i love yous come in the form of promises. she doesn’t make promises she knows she can’t keep. she has great intention with her words, despite a lofty plan when it comes to establishing her goals. one example of that is the “i’ll protect you” said to yang in the recent episodes. although it was said naively, and ill received by yang, blake fully intended to keep that promise. because of her elusive and reckless nature, as well as past trauma small acts of kindness and allowing someone to see facets of her vulnerability count as i love yous, such as the kiss to sun’s cheek in the beginning of volume six, or how blake places a blanket over weiss’ shoulders at brunswick farm. that is all, however, speaking platonically. another platonic way of saying “ i love you ” from blake, even unintentionally, is assigning someone an associated word, like she has her teammates, and adam ( because she did love him at one point, even if she doesn’t now. ) romantically, blake has not figured it out yet. she has never, truly, been in love before.

Maera and pets! Does she get hyper focused on her work and tend to overlook them? Is she a doting pet parent? What are her favorite kinds of pets?

although maera   DOES   get hyper focused on work, she never overlooks her pets. this hyper fixation often translates to herself, rather than other people or animals. she is, after all, a healer above all, and she’d feel like she was failing her duty if she were not doing right by all those close to her. 

she also   LOVES   animals! all of them. they’re a lot easier to connect with other people; if maera is too tired, she doesn’t have to speak to them, and they don’t expect her to. animals don’t have any expectations of maera and, in turn, she doesn’t seek to please them in everything she does like she will with people. 

maera doesn’t have a favourite kind of pet, but she does own a horse called plato, who is a friesian. she was absolutely distraught when she had to leave him when going to vesuvia, as she’d known him since he was a foal and had doted on him endlessly. she had hopes of bringing him to her once she’d established herself, but never got the chance to.

the most important char development question ever.

a nintendog, most likely. the entire set up on a tamagotchi ( unless you mean the mobile game they’ve recently come out with, instead of traditional ones ) is at the same time too little and too much. and entire electronic device dedicated to the care of a virtual pet is a waste of money to ren. when i said virtual pets i was thinking more along the lines of neko atsume, or tap tap aquarium, ( mobile games ) but i can wholeheartedly see nora asking ren to take care of her nintendogs, and ren refusing to give the game back because “no they’re mine now. in the half hour you’ve been gone, my dog has won five championships.”

she barely let him finish the sentence before belladonna was charging in at lightning speed. blake had seen sun fight before, knew of his balance between strength, speed, and more worrying than not, hadn’t been able to take note of any weaknesses. either she hadn’t been paying close enough attention or she’d been far too distracted by something else. it had always been someone else   ;   first roman, then ilia, the fang informant, and adam. each time, she hadn’t been paying close enough attention to sun. at least now she could observe first hand, if he didn’t manage to land a hit first.

feline was quick to dodge attacks, but had never been good at sustaining damage. her clones made quick work of distracting him, placing her on one side of him, and then another in the next. the tone was different to the other times they’ve been in combat together, she’s more   ...   playful. she was taking him seriously, but removing the imminent threat of death made sparring fun. blake was gifted in combat, and when she was going in for the kill it was hard to remember that. she was dancing around him, slight amused laugh on her tone, a light tugging on his jacket here, brushing against his tail there to lure attention away from her plan before   —   a fsship sound as blake tugged gambol shroud’s ribbon tight ‘round his legs.

could he escape that   ?

seeing the bf and hungover is a mood

im sad bc i only got to see him a lil bit of friday, then on saturday we were with all of his friends ( it was fun but can’t a needy mess have their bf to themself for a bit ), and then i spent today hungover, grouchy, and i had to go home before catching 2 trains back to uni

i didn’t get to make out and cuddle w him nearly as much as i wanted. this is illegal.

on the bright side i got to snuggle w him while we watched the fireworks for bonfire night together in a freezing cold field

that being said. from the looks of the promotion that rose had sent him earlier, the coffee shop must have been packed.

he doesn’t have an ideal date!  he is up for doing a wide variety of things. he would be fine with more chill outings and activities like going out for dinner, to a museum, walking dates.  more adventurous things are cool with him too!  he’s a hunter in training you could just ask him “wanna spar?”  and he’d give a huge dramatic sigh of “YES”

( i don’t think he likes movie dates though, they’re boring, tv is more of a wind down activity for him! )

the who depends … calling these “dates” in the first place is weird because he doesn’t date, but he will go on dates with like anyone including friends.  other people might have a different distinction there, but that’s how it is for him!  he does not have an ideal date with robin either tbh when they’re both in mistral it is a lot of love dragging robin through his sightseeing list, so love might take control and pick locations if there’s no resistance / if the other person is fine with it, but he is also pretty happy to hear suggestions and to be approached with a certain plan in a “we’re going to do this today” kind of way!  if he likes the other person his response will essentially be:  ok sure  :)
