Destiny headcanons

- Cayde once sent a mass invtie for a knitting club held in Zavala’s office in the city, several grandmothers showed up to Zavala’s office while he was knitting. There is now a monthly knitting circle in Zavala’s office.

- Saint-14 once cooed at Osiris like he does his pigeons, Osiris cooed back. They don’t talk about it, Segira, however, doesn’t shut up about it.

- Segira actively communicates with Saint-14, she likes to think she’s Osiris’ wingman. They gossip about their bridman together.

- Amanda always stops by Zavala’s office to leave him a small gift on father’s day and Dawning. If he’s there she will sit and talk with him for a bit.

- It is customary for guardians and their ghosts to celebrate their “Revival Day”.

- Since the Crucible is televised throughout the city, their are several fanclubs for certain guardians. Some bars specifically hold crucible nights for when that guardian is playing.

- Since pineapples are a myth, it is popular that they grew to the size of actual trees and that many could live in them. This is supported by a certain cartoon under the sea that a guardian found once in an encrypted engram.

Believe Bridesmaid

He had a wife and kid, but his wife divorced him when the kid was young. His wife wouldn’t mourn him and his son never knew he existed.

At the time of his death, he was working on the “great American novel”.  B read his transcript and really liked it. He thought it was a shame he would never get to finish it.

Choked him with a rope he found in the trunk of Bridesmaid’s car. Beyond convinced himself he was up to no good and deserved his death, perhaps even sparing someone else a horrible fate.

Believe’s pen name was Bradley Bridman as Believe’s Bridemaid was not marketable.

Cleaned his house compulsively, in almost a ritualistic manner.

Quarter Queen

Beyond believed that if he didn’t kill her, she was going to meet a far more gruesome death than what he was about to inflict. There aren’t many ways a 13 year old dies naturally.

Her mother was at work the day she was killed. She assumed her daughter would be safe in their home.

Quarter was in a mood before BB got her. She was angry that her mother left her a list of chores to do, mainly cleaning up the mess that was taking over the apartment.

She was supposed to be named Quarla, but no one could read her mother’s handwriting on the paperwork.

BB gained access to the apartment by knocking on the door and claiming to be her long lost uncle. She let him in and they had tea while they waited for her mom to come home, telling her not to call her mom at work because he “wanted it to be a surprise.” He drugged her tea and she fell asleep peacefully before her death.

BB crushed her eyes with his thumbs. He wore gloves when he did it.

The glasses he put on her were ones he found in her underwear drawer. She wore them for fashion, not function. They were a pair she would wear when she wanted to look “smart and sassy”.

Backyard Bottomslash

BB made himself a regular at her bank, making small deposits into an account he opened under a fake name. He would flirt with her and compliment her, something she loved. In other words, he laid the groundwork in advance.

She was an aspiring actress, so they would go on walks on her breaks, talk about the roles she had played. BB lied and told her he was an actor as well, and would talk about roles he played, usually always ironic to the situation. Sometimes they would hold hands.

On the day of her death, BB managed to charm his way back to her place, where he drugged her. He stroked her hair as she succumbed to the drugs.

Talked to her the entire time he was beating her, then apologized when his experiment failed.

Took her arm with him, tucking it down his sleeve so the hand aligned with his, holding it on one last time as he walked home, where he ground it up and washed it down the drain of his tub with a few gallons of bleach.

!!! Imagine the Nightmare cuddling the Birdman!

The Nightmare still gives him bad dreams but it always hugs and pats and tries to calm the Birdman. He’s finally shown some love and care and he knows the Nightmare doesn’t hurt him on purpose, it’s just its nature and it’s doing his best to fight it but someone is finally loving him so the Birdman can’t find it in himself to hate it.

Just imagine the Nightmare comforting a crying Bridman. I think I ship it (also I have pants like these, but with blue stars XD)
