#bridgeton season 2

This is my personal opinion on couples from Bridgeton.

Daphne and Simon are my least favorite couple. I like season one. To me, Daphne and Simon do that one thing I hate in a romance novel when the couple doesn't speak out about themselves, and makes them worse. I also never forgave Daphne for forcing a baby on Simon. He told her to stop and she kept going.

Anthony and Katheryn are my second favorite couple. I just wish I loved the second season. The second season is my least favorite. It did not do this couple justice at all. I just love seeing them be a couple. Anthony and Katheryn can let their walls lay around one another. They can laugh and relax.

Queen Charlotte and King Richard are my top-number one couple. The romance is so sweet and bitter. She is there for him. He truly loved him. To me, King Richard has the best love confession hand down to me. Queen Charlotte is the perfect season for me.

I'm really not feeling Colin and Penelope because the show did not give enough evidence as to why they should be a couple. Not enough romantic scenes together. When was Colin a horndog? I am enjoying the first part of the season 3. I really am enjoying the side romance story. I am not feeling the Modrich. They are not adding to the season. I felt they should have left them in season 1. Season 1 could have ended by showing that the family got money.

Simone Ashley being cut from S4 really doesn’t sit well with me. It legit makes me so sad as a fellow brown girl. It’s like we never matter as much even when we prove ourselves to be the best or the most popular. She seems to be begging to return, she legit said she would come back at any point. 😢 Especially since Anthony is coming back it’s like they used her to be celebrated for diversity but her story isn’t actually important enough to keep around. Or now that they have another Asian lead they don’t need her anymore. Like there isn’t room for them both to exist and thrive together?! Sophie and Kate together would have been incredible!!

It wouldn’t be so obvious if Anthony wasn’t returning but the fact that he is and they didn’t think her character was important enough to also return makes me sick. Especially since Anthony being without Kate makes no sense story wise. Like they will have to make some huge excuse for him being anywhere without her because in his own words and actions he cannot breathe without her. I’m so devastated and sad but unfortunately not surprised.

I am not sure how true this is but as per what I have seen in the interviews of Lukola, it is very possible it's true..considering reshoots were done after production ended There is a change.org petition being circulated around for these scenes to be released. I have gotten a lot of anons about Bridgeton season 3 & the Polin "deleted scenes", so let me make things clear!

I said it again & again there aren't many deleted scenes, it was only one scene in the end of ep8 a lot of people telling me that on reddit someone is saying that 2 long deleted sex scenes were cut, but that isn't true at all & the same person is saying that people who got early screenings of 1-6 episodes had extra scenes, but again that's false

There wasn't any other mirror scene in ep7 & There wasn't any angry sex scene in ep7 either. There was however a different version of when Colin argued with Pen in the streets at night, instead of him just making her get into the carriage, he gets inside as well & makes her go home

By the way in the version that we got of that scene, he just doesn't leave her in a carriage. I have seen some people misunderstanding it, but he has been following her with another carriage and left after the carriage she took with his own carriage still following her, it was his way of protecting her from afar, the other version might be clearer, but both have the same outcome

As for ep8, there was a montage at the end that was mostly Polin making out/kissing fully clothed, & few seconds of them doing more like him going down on her, him kissing her neck and smiling playfully at their reflection in the mirror, them doing it in bed & her riding him at the end ( the few seconds we got of that was from that montage). In those scenes of them doing more during the montage; she was either wearing a nightgown or a robe, she was never naked in those scenes & he was shirtless or covered from the waist down, but the state of their undress was never like ep5 first-time scene

Nicola didn't have other scenes of her being naked or almost naked, that only happened in ep5 & the furniture-breaking scene was the first time scene in ep5, both Nicola & Luke confirmed that and even posted a picture of it, so why doubt what they said!

Even the showrunner & writer of the show addressed that in a recent interview that was released after part2 was released

In the early script draft, there was indeed a scene that wasn't filmed as far as I know of Polin in bed talking about his journals & her editing them, but again as far as I know it was never filmed. if it was filmed then it never made the cut

There were different takes on the epilogue, but all of them had a similar outcome

And by the way, deleted scenes or different takes of some scenes someone either shondaland or the main show account one day, or someone from the cast & crew could post them in the future, but who knows. It's possible, but at the same time don't get your hopes up

That's all I wanted to say because there's a lot of misinformation around and some people sadly built their idea & image of this season based on fake spoilers and got disappointed when those spoilers didn't come true and I think they should let go of those fake spoilers already & rewatch the season & part2 with a clearer mind because it's rather obvious how those fake spoilers are clouding how they think about the season!....

I'm midway through season 2 of Bridgeton and enjoying it a lot more than season 1. I love when a show doesn't lean away from a character's flaws but instead embraces them. I didn't like Anthony in season 1 but seeing him being so manic is great, he's like a small dog biting at his own tail. Anthony and Kate being aggressively competitive type a older siblings at each other is a lot of fun

Finally watched season 1 and 2 and the two first episodes of season 3 of Bridgerton with my mom who is 70+ years old.

And here some highlight (in shamble) :

- First she is French so she calls the show "Brigeter-ton" and lady "Dane-berry" and I'm too weak to correct her

- She had a little tear at the last scene of season 1

- She finds the first episode of each season very boring but likes the rest

- She loves Violet. Everytime Mama Bridgeton is on screen she would comment how beautiful her dresses are. She finds her kind and loving.

- On the first Colin's brothel scene she said "Who the hell is this guy?" because she didn't recognize him and I laughed 💀

- She loves Aubrey Halls and Number 5

- She finds Colin "chic"

- She was really impressed by Pen transformation (that's my girl) and in general finds Pen cute

- She hates Cressida but likes Eloise (even tho she finds her a bit egocentric)

- She said season 3 Eloise reminds her of Audrey Hepburn

- During season 2 Kathony sex scene I could hear her saying "hope they won't catch a cold butt naked in the garden" (I was cooking her dinner so I was not there)

- She said Kate is stunning (I mean ofc)

- She likes Portia incisive jokes

- She laughed at "insert himself where" scene

- She talks about Bridgerton to all her friends and it's funny how many of them already watched it 😂

- The Queen wings.

- She loves Kate and Anthony meeting

- She is sad Eloise and Pen friendship is broken

Hi, i was hoping you could write a story about the Bridgeton family having a sister, who is about a year older than Daphne and is absolutely gorgeous, who is brought home by their father, and believing her to be an affair child only Eloise and Benedict treat her nicely. Not like Cinderella bad, but where she is essentially family-adjacent and often excluded and snubbed by the family. Only for it to come out that she is Queen Charlotte and King George's only recognized grandchild. She is presented to the queen by Benedict without the knowledge of the other family members. And it happens to occur right after Daphne, and she immediately steals all of the attention especially if/when it comes to light by the Queen questioning why you haven't seen her since you were younger and and how your life and education has been while you were hidden with, what comes to light as "your late father's dearest friend" meaning that she was sent to the Bridgeton house to be protected, as a child, after her father died and the late Vicount was only aloud to tell 2 people in his family. And the Bridgeton's all try to save face, even trying to force her, in some way, into keeping things quiet and fixing the damages done to their family name.

Sorry for the length... Also, could her name be "Luciana"? Or "Irene"? I've always loved those names.

Life among the ton can be difficult on anyone standing among London high society. Since a new member had joined from birth or marriage their moves were watched closely, and judge by the rest of the society as well. That is not far from the truth for one young lady, in ton society as since she was very young she had been judged, by those outside of the home and majorly inside the home as well.

y/n " ......." you had woken up and made your way through the Bridgeton house, ready to join the your family for breakfast. There are those in the house that don't call you family, and see you as outsider.

Eloise " y/n good morning"

Eloise " are you planning to join us for breakfast it will be good to have you there, even due Benedict is there morning meal is still so boring"

y/n " I will love to join but if need I will have my meal elsewhere" Eloise had given you a sad look as she knew that you were, never treated fairly in the home.

Eloise " then if you go then I shall come it better then here, about this upcoming season"

y/n " oh yes the season has finally come for me to find a husband"

Eloise " you will do well I know it now come we shall not be late" The pair had soon made their way downstairs, and soon to the room where breakfast had been setup for the family.

Anthony " sister good morning it good you are here"

Eloise " good morning Anthony I have brought y/n as well, do you wish to greet her as well"

Antony " good morning Y/n"

Daphne " good morning sister and brother"

Colin " kinda of family see that one of us past" Colin had looked at you making you feel worst.

Benedict " brother please be kind and don't ruin this morning for us, so y/n are you ready for this season"

Benedict " In days time we will be presenting Daphne and y/n to the queen and rest of society, as they have finally joined the ton"

Daphne " it will be splendid mother and I made sure my dress is perfect and ready"

Anthony " good as this year will be seeking a husband and me a wife as well"

Benedict " don't forget I and Colin might be looking for love as well, let not forget y/n she is a member of the household as well"

Eloise " yes y/n tell me about your dress"

y/n " well I was able to get the dress ready I hope it will be good, when I'm presented"

Benedict " you will be wonderful and so shall Daphne"

Colin " we shall see if any man will have her knowing what, type of women she will be just like her mother"

Benedict " brother I shall not have you speak to her like that she is one of us"

Colin " she is one of father greatest mistake mother had forgiven father, but never her mother no family shall have her"

Eloise " Colin you are being rude"

y/n " it okay I think I will take my breakfast in the garden as I wish, not to ruin your family meal"

Elosie " then I shall come with you Benedict"

Benedict " I will come as well"

Voilet " Elosie and Benedict you both should stay here and have a meal with your family"

Benedict " she is our family as well mother father brought her into the family and she family" The tiro soon left as they went to have breakfast somewhere else. It clear to see your are not well like by the household and some of the staff as well, they along with everyone else saw you as love child of the former viscount. As he had brought to the family home one day, telling his wife they shall be taking you in as one of their own. Everyone had thought you are Edmond love child and that your birth mother was either dead or left you in his care.

Later on that day

Penelope " so y/n are you ready for the present to the queen"

y/n " my nerves and scared of what shall happen that day"

Eloise " well thanks to our cruel family they have made matter worst"

y/n " tell me Eloise and Penelope why do young ladies like you wish, to be in my present"

Eloise " because we care for you and you are dearest to us as well"

Penelope " you always care for anyone even due they don't care for you back, having you as friend has made life grande here"

y/n " thank you"

Eloise " I know you shall do well this season as married women or unmarried"

y/n " thank you and I know you two will do well in society as well, both of you have grown and will do amazing things in the future" the three girls had smiled as they went back to walking, hearing some whispers and glares among the ton. Right now that didn't bother you anymore, as you will let them talk all they want.

Benedict " sister may I come inside"

y/n " yes you can come inside Benedict and Eloise as well, I know she is there"

Eloise " good morning sister .... you look beautiful"

y/n " thank you the dress is not to much on me it seem like the dress, had been picked ahead for me"

Eloise " Benedict shall be presenting you to the queen and the ton, as mother and Anthony wish not to"

y/n " I understand"

Benedict " well then now that you are official ready let get going my sister" you had nodded your head the rest of the family are gone, as the trio left for the palace soon arriving there. Eloise went to go wait with the rest of the family.

Announcer " Miss Daphne brigerton present by her mother the right honorable viscountess violet brigerton" the door opened as Violet and Daphne walked into the hall gasping can be heard as Daphne, had entered the hall.

Benedict " you will do well y/n there nothing to hear"

y/n " yes thank you Benedict"

Announcer " Miss Y/n present my lord Benedict bridgerton" you and Benedict had started walking down the towards the queen, as she soon stopped what she was doing. This had gained everyone attention as they looked at you and back at their queen.

queen Charolette " my dear come closer so I may get a better look at you, such a beautiful young lady who might become my second diamond or different gem"

Benedict " your majesty I will like to present to you Y/n my sister"

Queen Charolette " yes I know of her my dear you look so much like your mother"

brimsley " my majesty I think this best to have this conversation elsewhere at the moment, with a few selected member allowed to come"

Queen Charolette " Edmond had been a friend of your father and took you after his death, your mother had dead years ago and it was not safe for you so he took you in making a promise to care for you and keep you safe as he had done I can see he was a good lord"

y/n " Eloise Benedict did you know of this"

Eloise " yes father had told us many years ago as he could trust us"

lady danbury " I knew as well when your father passed I was going to, have you come live with me but you were close to the other children at the moment"

y/n " I never though this will happen ever I think I might need to sit" you and elosie had sat down as you collected your thoughts about the whole situation.

Benedict " you have rights to be upset with us for keeping this, but we had been doing this for you safety sister my father and yours wanted you to be happy and live a good life"

y/n " I understand where they have come from and I wish they were still here"

Queen Charolette " well all do my granddaughter so do you wish to go back out there and become a diamond of the season, not because of blood but because of who you are your mother daughter a wonderful women I see you and many others have seen as well"

y/n " yes I'm ready to face them" the grouo soon left the room and went back to where everyone is ready.

Anthony " your majesty I'm sorry for what my household has caused you ..."

Queen Charolette "silence I'm have something to say right"

Queen Charolette " many years ago I had a granddaughter born into my family, but she had to go into hiding for her safety after the death of my son it broken my heart along with the rest of our family ... but today she had come home Y/n bridgerton as you all know her is the future duchess and my granddaughter as well" the queen had knew of what had been spoken about her granddaughter, she wasn't a big fan of many of those standing in the room.

brismley " Duchness Y/n of the royal household of queen Charolette and king Gregor and the new gem of the season as well"

Queen Charolette " my decision have been made this season and will not be changed, so let enjoy this season and see what lady whistle down has to say as well" In one day you had become a duchess and didn't even have to marry it your birthright indeed. The once queen who was looked down my many was know, a duchess they all wish to become close with in life but they all will see it shall not be the easy as they think when royals and other important households are involved.

So the tv show Queen Charlotte showed why England in Bridgeton is not really a racist society and it is due to Queen Charlotte. And it wasn't a super realistic explanation but that's totally fine!

But now what I need is for Queen Charlotte to realize Brimsley is gay in the next season of Bridgeton and to decriminalize homosexuality specifically so he can be with Reynolds (who is not dead!) because you know out of everyone she would think love is love.

And she would legalize gay marriage and hold a lavish wedding for them. The King would make a short appearance, showing his support, and no one could question the king, and bam! It is great experiment #2 and we're progressing into a non homophobic society in England.

Wishful thinking BUT I’m hoping we didn’t see the birth of Anthony and Kate’s baby (Edmund) because they will show us in the potential Violet and Edmund spin off. Would be a full circle moment to end that series with the birth of the new Edmund Bridgerton. I know I know it’s a dream but how AMAZING would that be 😍😍😍

After obsessing about the season 3 Kathony teaser for over a day now, I have the following observations:

I am pretty sure that the kiss was something Anthony wanted to do back during that country dance at the Harmony Ball. Both times we get that laughter and twirl! So where are the gifs comparing these two scenes? And why am I not skilled enough to make them myself?

The expression on Anthony’s face is the same he had when Kate arrived at Aubrey Hall. Again, I should consider learning how to make bloody gifs...

Kate looks so bloody gorgeous in that dress, it should be illegal! However, it appears to be waaaaay too modern. I mean, seriously, even as someone whose entire knowledge about Regency dress comes from watching an unhealthy amount of YouTube videos and googling, I can see that the silhouette is not Regency at all. And yes, I have seen the comments, that it appears to play into her Indian heritage, and I do hope this was indeed the intention behind it (if, so, then awesome and everything makes sense!), because otherwise, I will be very disappointed with the Bridgeton costume department. I never expected them to be historically accurate, but come on!

Anthony’s waistcoat matches Kate’s dress and that is just so, so brilliant!

Overall, Kate looks so much more mature in this teaser. In season 2, she was visually still this young girl and now she looks like the grown woman and viscountess that she is. And it’s awesome.

Anthony is now actually even tempered when it comes to his sister’s debut! Can you imagine Daphne asking for a moment to herself and season 1 Anthony being all “of course”? No? Neither can I.

No gloves AND a kiss (and that cheeky, cheeky grin!)! My, my Lord and Lady Bridgeton might be married bit this is still sooo very much improper! Please give us more of that in season 3!

I am excited for Francesca! She seems to be so different from both Daphne and Eloise and I am all there for it!

I think I have spotted Lord Debling in the background. Mhm....

I feel kind of sad for Penelope, standing there all by herself and clearly feeling very much self-conscious. And this seems to be the same ball from the previous teaser with Pen telling Colin off!  Interesting.

Polin fans, I feel you that you are disappointed that there was no Polin content this time around. I get it because this is how us Kathony fans felt after the last live event, when we did not even get the smallest bit of info on our ship. Like nothing! Zero! Nada!

I know this I totally not going to happen, but I still want Kathony to get as much screen time as that damn Featherington heir/ ruby mine scam plot in season two. I will be more than just happy if we get that (but yeah, I am a realist...).

Are they trying to shift Bridgerton into more of an ensemble show like Grey’s instead of the anthology feel we’ve been getting in s1 and s2?

Do you think Polin will have a big subplot next season?

Yes, that's what I have been getting & what I have been hearing too. They slowly started it in s2 in a subtle way but went with it full force with s3 because both Pen & Colin are already known characters that have been building up through past seasons, so they felt that it wasn't needed to give them extra focus

Things I already know about s4:

1-Fran & Michaela will have a side plot to build Michaela as a character

2-If Ben is the lead, they are going to make Eloise the biggest side story and build for her romance/season with Phillip, some of the rumored production locations are related to Eloise story actually. In Ben season think of her side story as Fran side story in Polin season. If Eloise is the lead, Ben will have the biggest side story of him searching for the person he met at the masquerade ball. Again I will say that so far the talks around is that s4 is Ben's season, but we shall see when they are done with rewrites & make an official announcement

3-Polin will be back and possibly going to get more plot based on the success of their season. They are both important to Ben & Eloise's seasons, so they should get a decent side plot regardless. Pen keeping her column opens a door for a bigger storyline for them. The heir plot in s3 was to get them to live near the Bridgeton house so they could always be there too
