A lot of books I loved when I was younger are books I still love (Fahrenheit 451, A Wrinkle in Time), but I did also especially like The Girl with the Silver Eyes, Bridge to Terebithia, Jacob Have I Loved, There's a Boy in the Girls' Bathroom, and Kirsten's American Girl books.

9. Yes, green tea chai! Or green tea/black tea chai. It used to be in my local grocery store but it's not anymore and I'm not sure why. I actually special ordered two boxes of it for myself here while I'm working out of town.

favourite childrens book(s)? (either chapter or picture)

Grandfather Twilight was my favorite when I was little. We were also very big on the Berenstain Bears books in our house (and no mandela effect for me, it was always BerenSTAIN). Mama could recite Where the Wild Things Are from memory. I think my favorite like chapterbook from childhood was Bridge to Terebithia. I was probably too young when I read it the first time. It was the first time my little heart got broken. I was actually angry at my mother, at the time, for not warning me about how it ended. But she gave me a gift, in that book, bc it taught me how much I could feel, and how a story could make me feel so much, could impact me in such a tangible way, and that was precious.

Oh yay, so couple it is, then! Well, it'd be a strange relationship if we didn't know each other on a more personal level, so I'll start. Campo Lako

This camping trip was by far an extremely fun one. Sure A LOT went wrong but hey thats life...shiz happens man. There was missing lakes, starving night food runs, constipation, mosquito skinny dipping, dust storms....the works!

We started this idea the night before (at like 1am) of visiting 5 lakes in one day in Squamish. The next morning we were off! The four of us had the day off and we left at 8am on our venture to completing the 5 Lake One Day Challenge. Let me just say right of the bat we failed.

First stop was Murrin Lake (also known as browning) which is by far one of the warmest lakes in Squamish, also the deepest in BC! We pulled off the side of the Sea To Sky Highway and dove in...happily warm!

Next stop was...the liquor store!! We picked up some booze for our trip as well as some breaky. Sadly I cannot eat bread or sugar so I had an A&W breakfast sandwich with only the thin greasy sausage and egg and no bun...twas interesting to say the least.

After this was Alice Lake. The most popular and populated daily lake in Squamish. This one was nice, there were a lot of children but it was nice! See the problem was I had a very huge bloated tummy from 3 day long constipation so I decided to change my bathing suit to a one piece. Once arriving at the lovely and by the way very clean restroom of Alice Lake Park, I decided to take a go and see if I could relieve myself so to speak. With little success I proceeded to put on my suit and exit the restroom and to my surprise was greeted with a very long line of posh angry Squamish mothers waiting to pee.

I smiled casually and went on my way to the dock to find my friends and we continued with a swimmingly nice afternoon.

Next stop was my personal favourite, BROHM LAKE! Absolutely beautiful hidden gem of Squamish! Had a nice time drifting in our floaties, enjoying snacks and the Mamma Mia soundtrack. This one is a beautiful spot to chat with the locals and just enjoy complete serenity! Absolutely lovely!

Finally the ultimate lake where we would be camping that evening! Cat Lake! The path to get there is a little bit of a trek. First of all the turnoff from the highway is like a 007 stunt move and then next comes the drive through a dust storm. Hannah and I had been enjoying our lovely time in the open-back jeep and realized we probably should put the top on…only we didn't have windows, just a roof. So we skrt-skrted up the path in a beautiful jeep commercial like way, twisting and turning our way through the off-roading trek to our campsite as Sarah and Lauren followed in Sarah’s Ford named Sapphire.

After a nice stay at Cat Lake the night grew near and Sarah and I were desperate to get food, to cut this story short all we were able to retrieve was 8 dollar turkey pepperoni and a small bowl of greek salad for me.

We picnicked on the dock and began our game of truth or dare which became a deep chat of life that to be honest was quite emotional. I lied down and watched the shooting stars while listening to our sweet life playlist and hearing the lovely talk of the future from my friends. This was a moment I don’t think I will forget. I have grown really appreciative of life recently since it seems to be changing quite fast. Its odd to be in this position, right on the border of a big stepping stone. It feels like crossing the bridge to terebithia. The life I have enjoyed for so long with the most amazing people is coming to an end. The life I have dreamt of since birth is about to begin, but I want both. I know I will have these people with me in a special place in my heart always but I don’t want to think of a time where I won’t see them day to day and as of right now that is happening in 7 days. So sitting here listening and watching the wonders of life happen before me is breathtaking and I have no words for it, but its also heartbreaking to think something I have taken for granted for so long is possibly ending.

But like my friends always do, they cheered me up by getting drunk and dancing in the night under the stars. We looked at the red star Mars before us and skinny dipped in the lake, and met some cool strangers as we had some funny banter about various subjects.

We proceeded to sleep in the tent and jump in the lake the next morning.

Overall this trip was amazing and lovely and I couldn’t ask for better friends.

So thank you summer 18’ for spectacular things.
