Aside from creating great and memorable music, they were always NICE people! I have a funny about how I introduced my mom to the band at the 2004 warped tour. Can't wait to tell you that someday... During this period of my life, I was doing a LOT of poster work for the almighty @thetroubadour. It was my art (and business) school. One of the perks of working for Christine and "the Troub" was that I got to go to shows for free! I still remember how much fun these shows were! @hotwatermusicofficial killed it that night as well. At the end of their set, the Souls came out and they all did HWM's #TrustyChords". Extremely proud to announce my new collaboration with Metallica !!! These are only available via Metallica's shop! I won't have any and there will NOT be prints made! Just in time for HALLO….errr I mean “CHRISTMAS!!!” Yeah, it seems early to announce now, but keep in mind that the world has had 2 years of supply chain disruptions and consistently slow delivery from USPS. Everyone is expecting more of that in the near future. Now that that’s out of the way… PINCH ME! I got to collaborate with METALLICA…AGAIN!!! Very stoked to be able to show it off now. When they hit me up they mentioned wanting to also make an ornament to go along with the shirt design. I can now add “ornamentalist” for Metallica to my resume! The irony was that I worked on a Christmas project during the HOTTEST days in July. The project was very fun to do and everyone was easy to deal with. THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!! And I can draw everything that isn't a SKULL! I wanted to continue with the #mermaid theme that I had started with their 2018 poster. I'm trying to loosely have a narrative with each poster. Each time the mermaid character is doing something different but interesting. I also wanted to draw a decent octopus! I'm also stoked on how the face turned out! That's an area I'm always trying to improve on. In March of 2022, a VERY good friend (and also my assistant) passed away - Rhonda Griffin. As a tribute to Rhonda, I've been hiding her name in EVERY project. No...not in the tattoos. Just the other stuff! . Lastly, we dusted the regular prints with glitter to make everything pop when it hits the light at different angles! . Apologies for taking 2 months to FINALLY post these to my shop. . Work and life have been hectic and heavy! A-A-AYE, I NEED A VACATION!!!
