Ruth Connell, your portrayal of the Night Nurse is both terrifying and mesmerizing, and we are all in awe of your talent!

Jenn Lyon, you have delivered some of the most iconic one-liners of the show and your portrayal of Esther was so good you created a villain we all couldn't help but secretly root for.

And last but certainly not least, Briana Cuoco! Jenny Green is the best adoptive mother the agency could wish for and we all love her for the incredible icon she is. Thank you! 🖤

My piece for DBDA Cast Appreciation, Day 5, Ruth Connell, Jenn Lyon, Briana Cuoco Day: Jenn Edition

Jenn Lyon is fantastic as Esther.

She has some of the most iconic lines in the show, and she delivers them with such joyous evil you’re unable to not love her.

She’s the shows villain, who literally eats kids, but you can’t help feeling such glee whenever she’s on screen.

You can feel how much fun Jenn must’ve had in this role, and it makes her that much more fun to watch.

omg okay so she’s perfect, i love her.

the poor woman’s just trying to get through her days living her legacy job in the same town she grew up in, bemoaning the fact that there are no hot, available women anywhere around, and then the next thing she knows she’s somehow adopted two teenage girls with mommy issues

two teenage girls who just apparently don’t go to school or have friends and just show up in town alone like that’s a normal thing to happen what the fuck

so she takes them in. she gives them a safe place. she will make sure they are protected and have someone to talk to even if she has to grit her teeth through every part of it.

she just wants to sell meat to the same people she’s seen every day her whole life but no instead there are kids here with trauma and she sure as shit isn’t going to let them deal with all that alone.

and then it turns out that’s not even the worst of it.

truly an icon.

unfortunately i was also mostly distracted the entire time by the fact that she’s played by briana cuoco who was once a contestant on the voice (and kaley’s sister obvs) and if there’s once thing about me it’s that i have seen every season of the voice

My piece for DBDA Cast Appreciation, Day 5, Ruth Connell, Jenn Lyon, Briana Cuoco Day: Ruth Edition

Ruth Connell is an icon.

I absolutely love her portrayal of the Night Nurse.

She’s an amazing character that you love to hate, but she also makes you feel for her.

She starts out so gleefully “evil”, but as the show continues, she becomes so very human.

That all comes down to Ruth, she’s absolutely perfect in this role. Every snarky line she delivers, every snide or outraged expression she makes, golden.

From what I’ve learned of her through this campaign, she’s a joy and a force to be reckoned with.

Interacting with fans, asking for directions to the billboard, tagging Netflix with sass, absolute queen.

She gives our fandom hope and makes us feel seen.

The joy she takes in the show, the enthusiasm she shows for our efforts, she’s raised the spirits of many of us, and that’s special.
