If he knew he had grown up this way.
Perhaps it was preferable to be a youngster who knew nothing except eating, playing, and napping.
People beings grow up in many civilizations. Some are born under a lucky star and are unaware that there is a demon named afflictive and wounded existing in this universe. However, certain persons who were raised. No, it should be called 'lived on their own' 一will have a higher level of immunity than others.
That does not imply their goodness. But it was an essential weapon for survival when facing tough times; it was intended just for anybody like him who lived below the poverty line. It kept on threatening his life, shattering every piece of his bone and cruelly smashing them to the ground. Despite being awake, it seemed like a terror nightmare that he couldn't wake up from.
'Brian May' is an uncommon boy. However, it isn't actually noteworthy. It sounds tricky, doesn't it? But that was his life after his parents' disappearance due to debt, while the whole town was during the world war.
The boy recalled the hectic circumstances at home throughout that extended period of time, and how they remained to be that way, over and over. He nearly lost sight of the definition of happiness and the proper way to smile or laugh.
Delicious food was once the thing on each evening dinner table, but that is starting to change. There were just grilled potatoes obtainable lately, and the soup was given as a side dish to enhance the flavour of the tasteless potatoes that had to be consumed all in one bowl, for the whole family.
He heard his parents arguing constantly, and headphones ended up being his best buddy by default. However, that is not nearly as unpleasant as hearing the creditors' relentless pounding on the door, who appear prepared to burst in at any moment if they are serious about it.
Only in the closet could sixteen-year-old Brian give a hug to his younger sister. With her head pressed against his chest, he protected her even though he was conscious that he wouldn't be able to stop the door from breaking in. After their parents made the decision to disappear without a trace since they had creditors pursuing them. From that moment on, Brian's biggest duty towards his younger sister has been to be strong for her, even when it meant leaving only tears on her cheeks.
Yes, he understands that his parents weren't abandoning him or his younger sister. Nevertheless, it seems that things happened this way because they had to leave this environment. Because his parents are unaware of how creditors would make demands for money if they were there. Which was probably worse than the hammering at the house door, which scared the hell out of him and his sister and made them afraid to leave.
A sixteen-year-old boy whose sole pursuits in life are music and education. To continue living his realities, he had to give go of his fantasies. Give up on the band, put the handmade guitar in the cupboard, and start working a part-time job after school.
For a young boy who had never experienced hardship before, he was unsure about what to do with the remaining money and where it would take him and his sister. However, it was lucky that the uncle next door, who was a neighbour, constantly prepared meals for him. And thus, day by day, he and his sister lived. 'Betty May' is still quite young. Brian does not want his younger sister to have to worry about this. But he had no idea what to do. Because additional money is insufficient, he will soon have to pay tuition. He is unlikely to be able to provide for himself and his younger sister financially. However, requesting a loan from a neighbour, like Uncle David, would be excessive.
Brian sensed he was in trouble. However, seeking assistance from others should be done in moderation.
Humans have a tendency to do dumb things when they feel hopeless. Yes, Brian feels this is the case. When he sat looking at the square screen with his hands on the keyboard in a computer lesson, his friend from the computer science department was overjoyed to show him it was a prototype. He looked like he suffered from a lack of sleep while learning how to use with.
The sixteen-year-old boy stared at it for a moment before writing the tragic tales of his own life on a blank page, and thanks to his highest grade at Imperial College, he had the kind privilege of receiving a tiny article published in the newspapers for the entire city of London, which has at least three million readers per day.
Brian couldn't recall what he had written, and he didn't want to. It might be filled with disappointment in life, what he was excellent at, or the whole agony that has been suppressed in his heart. Asking for help in vain and not knowing whether anyone will respond with a boy who has no idea who they are and no interest in life.
But it wasn't too horrible. When God told him to believe in, 'the miracles' one more time.
Not long afterward, the professor contacted him to schedule an appointment. He said that someone had seen his letter in the newspapers and offered to help with schooling and monthly expenditures, even if it was a small amount. So he asked Brian if he still needed lend a hand in helping, because here was his opportunity.
The boy was dumbfounded by what he had heard. He was thinking about hitting himself in the face once to make sure he wasn't hallucinating. Is it truly feasible for somebody to reach out and support kids who do not know who they are? Brian sat calmly for quite some time, and his professor was silent, indicating that Brian, his student, wanted to concentrate.
Brian was still half believing and half unbelieving. It wasn't until he received a cheque with credit to cash at the bank, along with a huge shopping bag with a pair of black and light brown suit-and-tie sets and black leather shoes. He noticed a pair of freshly released flower pattern shift dresses for ladies in other bags, as well as maroon Mary-Jane heels, with a short message and charming calligraphy expressing delight in him and Betty, which the tall boy could guess was from whom.
The boy finally discovered the world wasn't all devils around him. Who were these people? How did the benefactors who saved his and his sister's lives appear? The boy was confident that they were angels. The boy vividly recalls the emotion of the first moment; even the corners of his eyes turned blazing red and his younger sister had to hold and soothe him.
Brian returned to see his professor the next day, this time wearing a new pair of gleaming black leather shoes. After staying up all night wondering, 'Why are the benefactors so kind?', he was keen to find out who the wonderful person was who rescued him and his sister from the demon hordes. Why did they decide to help? Because even if the entire world is full of lack of thoroughness, and depth of character and he is much too young to confront it, that person seems not to be concerned whether the message he has written is a falsehood or real.
As his professor consultant was done with some papers, he smiled softly as he informed his student. "Her name is Y/N..."
Brian fails to control himself; he gasps suddenly with his mouth open and barely knows how to breathe, just because he eventually discovered their name, noㅡ her name.
"Miss Y/L/N. Y/N Y/L/N."
oh hi

The Concert
Pairing: James Potter x Reader
Warnings: smut, angst, dom! James x Regulus, some hate fucking sort of? enjoy this!
Word Count: 5K+
A/N: This is a part 2 to Hate, hope you all enjoy it :)
“I have such a good idea!” You said with a large grin on your face as you dropped yourself down at the table in between Marlene and Remus.
“Where did you come from?” Sirius asked, turning fully around to look behind him.
“Stayed to help Binns after history,” you grinned, helping yourself to a large piece of the meaty pie that was on the table for dinner.
“What’s your idea?” Lily asked, sensing the excitement radiating off you.
“I heard from Yaz who heard from Dorcus who heard from Daniel who heard from Michael who heard from his cousin who lives in Soho that Queen is doing a pub concert in London on Friday and we have to go!” You beamed.
“I don’t care for Queen.” Remus shrugged.
“The Queen sings?” Marlene cocked an eyebrow.
“No! The band Queen! Freddy Mercury, Roger Taylor, Brian May, John Deacon. Come on! They’re the biggest band in the world right now! How can you guys not want to go?” You were severely displeased with your friends’s lack of enthusiasm.
“Hey! I know I would love to hear the Queen perform. I’ve never been to a muggle concert before.” James said, getting up from his place across the table and squeezing himself between you and Sirius so he could wrap an arm around your shoulders.
“It’s just Queen, Prongs, and your opinion doesn’t count you would do anything to keep your girlfriend happy.” Remus rolled his eyes as he looked at you and James comfortably seated together.
“Uh, Remus? She’s not the only one who would be happy to see Queen.” Lily said with a grin, pointing her fork at Sirius. Remus turned to look at Sirius who was red faced with excitement and had somehow transfigured his sweater into a Queen t-shirt.
“Oh no,” Remus sighed, “don’t tell me you’re a Queen fan? Padfoot! What happened to taste?”
“I don’t know why you don’t like them, Moony. They’re amazing and you’re a snob. Also I’m excited for us to listen to a great band, get pissed, and snog uncontrollably.” Sirius crossed his arms and glowered at Remus.
“I don’t want to go if all you’re gonna do is snog,” Lily sighed.
“Yeah! I don’t want to watch the Potters and the Lupins snog all night. I’m out,” Marlene said, tossing her napkin on the table and crossing her arms across her chest in a pout.
“I’ll come if I can bring Roman. We’re supposed to go on a date but I’ve been wanting a dastardly little rendez-vous in a pub bathroom.” Mary shrugged, standing from the table and making her way over to the Hufflepuff table.
“Hold on, what makes you think I would take James’s last name?” You asked.
“Yeah! What if Moony and I wanted to hyphenate?” Sirius protested. Before Remus could rebut, Yasmine made her way over to the table and grinned at Marlene.
“Marls are you going to the Queen concert in London? I’d love to see you there.” She smiled at Marlene again who could only offer a goofy wave and a nod in return, her eyes trained on Yaz’s ass as she walked out of the great hall.
“Okay so what is the official headcount for the concert then? Who’s coming?” James asked, surveilling the group.
“We’re going,” Sirius said quickly, sending Remus a look. Remus rolled his eyes and nodded.
“I’ll come!” Peter said, his mouth still full of mashed potatoes.
“Roman and I will be there,” Mary said with a nod as she walked past the table, arm in arm with Roman.
“Marlene, you coming?” You asked. Marlene still had a dumbstruck look on her face as her fingers ghosted over her shoulder where Yaz had rested her hand.
“What about you Evans?” James asked, looking at the final member of the group who had yet to respond
“No! I’ll be the,” Lily took a second to count the people in the group, “ninth wheel. I’d rather stay back and do almost anything else.”
“Peter will be alone. You can go with him,” Sirius offered but to everyone’s surprise Peter shook his head and squeaked,
“I’ll be going with Dorcas.”
Lily looked like she wanted to die. You cleared your throat and sent a look Lily’s way.
“Lily, why don’t you bring Severus?” You offered her a gentle smile and you slapped one hand against James’ mouth and the other against Sirius’. You could feel both of their mouths moving against your hands but you weren’t letting go any time soon. You forgot, however, that there was another person in the group who despised Snape just as much as James and Sirius and you were out of hands.
“Why the hell would we want Snape at a concert that I don’t even want to go to?” Remus said with a look of disgust.
“Yeah!” Sirius said after biting your hand. You snatched your hand back and wiped it on Sirius’s shirt with a scowl, “That little snake will probably bring my brother too just to piss me off.”
“You think Regulus will be there?” James asked. You and James hadn’t really spoken about your incident with Regulus a few months ago where Regulus had watched you and James fuck. You tried to bring it up a few times but James shut it down, though you could’ve sworn you heard James murmur ‘Regulus’ under his breath a few times during sex. Regulus had been avoiding you and the Marauders like the plague since.
“Regulus would never be caught somewhere with that many muggles.” Remus shook his head.
“Lily is our friend so we have to baseline tolerate her friends. Lily why don’t you ask Severus if he’d like to come.” You said. Lily shook her head and sighed,
“I should stay home.”
“Lily you love Queen. Either come with us on your own or ask Severus.” You placed your hand over Lily’s and she made a face,
“Your hand is wet.”
“Sirius.” You rolled your eyes. Your other hand was still over James’s mouth and you finally looked at him and he smiled at you with his lust blown eyes. You moved your hand down so it was on James’ tie and pulled him up.
“We’re going now,” you said, looking at the group, “I’ll get us twelve tickets. We’ll talk more at breakfast tomorrow.”
“Walk him like a dog!” Sirius called after you both. You led James to the prefects bathroom and started undressing. James fell back into the steamy, bubbling baths and you set yourself down on top of him. He was kissing up your neck as you seated yourself on James’s cock.
James moaned into your open mouth as he helped move you, guide you up and down on his cock.
“God, I love you so much baby,” James was babbling, the way he usually did when he was close. He was moving you faster and faster and he choked out a desperate “don’t stop!” His hand was fisted in your hair and he stumbled out a “Regulus,” before he came. He took several deep breaths, resting his forehead on yours and smiling.
“I think we need to talk about something, James.” You said, getting off him and sitting next to him.
“Alright? What’s up?”
“Have you realized that since the incident with Regulus-”
“I don’t want to talk about that.”
“I know. But I think we need to. Every time we’ve had sex in the last two months you’ve moaned Regulus’s name. I think you want him James.” You said. You could practically see the gears turning in James’ brain.
“I…this is really confusing.” James shook his head.
“You don’t need to do anything, James. Just think about what you want.”
“I want you!”
“I know you do. But you can want more than one thing.” You said with a small smile. You and James did not discuss it further.
Finally, Friday was upon you all and you were more than excited to see Queen. You had been ready for hours and you were sitting up in the marauder’s dorm watching the boys get ready. Remus was pouting as he sat on his bed wearing a normal pair of jeans, sweater, and tennis shoes. Sirius, on the other hand, was going all out. He was wearing a tight pair of trousers and a leather jacket with no shirt underneath. He was currently lining his eyes with a dark eyeliner and snapping at Remus,
“Moony so help me god if you don’t change I’m going to hit you.”
“I don’t even want to go!” Remus protested. You sat down on the bed next to Remus and laid your head on his shoulder,
“Remus. Just change so you can shut Sirius up.”
“Fine!” Remus got up and started rifling through his trunk.
“Where’s my boyfriend?” You asked, looking around the dorm. Peter was looking between two graphic tees that his sister must have sent. One was for the Beatles and one was for Bowie.
“Which one do I wear?” Peter asked, obviously bewildered.
“Bowie.” You nodded.
“I’m here!” James said, walking out of the bathroom. He was wearing a pair of jeans, a smart looking sweater, and a leather jacket. He was also walking uncomfortably, presumably finally breaking in the pair of doc Martens that you had bought him for Christmas a year back.
“You look good,” you said with a smile.
“So do you,” James winked at you. You were dressed how you assumed most girls at the concert would be, a Queen shirt that Mary had cut up for you, a leather skirt, and your own doc Martens.
Remus had finally changed and was now in a stiff pair of jeans, a thin long sleeve t shirt and a leather jacket. You had never seen so many wizards in leather. There was a knock at the door and you knew it could only be the other girls, finally ready. You let them in and Mary ran immediately to Sirius, helping him finish his eyeliner. Mary was dressed like you, with a cut up t shirt and a pleated mini skirt.
“Mary, is that your skirt from third year?” You asked.
“Yes! I needed a skirt I could cut shorter and Marlene knew a spell to expand the waistline!” Mary beamed. Marlene and Lily were dressed a little more conservatively. Lily was wearing a v-neck sweater and a pair of jeans and was twisting her ring on her finger nervously. Marlene was wearing leather pants and a tight top that rode up at times to show off her toned stomach. Marlene reached up to grab a flask that was sitting on a high shelf and Peter gasped and said,
“Marlene! Is that belly button piercing?”
Marlene blushed bright red and immediately tried to pull her shirt down.
“Ah ah! Too late McKinnon!” James said and laughed.
“How did I not notice that before? Did you guys see that?” Lily said, turning and looking at you and Mary, who both shook your heads.
“Yaz did it over the break,” Marlene mumbled, her face staying that same unnatural shade of red.
“So Lily,” you could sense that Marlene was getting uncomfortable so you changed the subject, “is Severus coming?”
“Ah, sort of,” Lily shrugged, “he’s going with a few other Slytherins. Said he’ll see me there.”
“Who are the other Slytherins, Evans?” Sirius asked, his eyes even more piercing now against the thick black eyeliner.
“I think Barty and Regulus.” Lily sighed.
“Oh my god! My damn brother! Get over here Moony! You’re wearing eyeliner.” Sirius commanded.
“What? No!” Remus protested.
“If Regulus is going to be there I need to make him as angry as possible. Seeing my boyfriend at a concert with thick eyeliner will do it.” Sirius snapped.
“Just let him do it, Remus. He’ll poke out your eye before he backs down.” James said with a head shake. So twenty minutes later, Remus’s eyes were thickly lined and you all were on your way to Hogsmeade to apparate into London. You and James apparated first, since Yaz had left the tickets at will call for you and as a half-blood you were one of the few in the group who were familiar with the muggle world.
“Hiya,” you greeted the man at will call, “picking up tickets. They were left by Yasmine Patel.”
“What’s the name on them?” The man asked. You gave the man your first and last name and he shook his head, “Sorry. I don’t have them under that name.”
“What!” You looked at James a little panicked.
“Is it under Potter?” James tried.
“Yep. Enjoy the show.” The man handed you the tickets.
“Why would Yaz leave them under your name? She told me about the tickets.” You said, taking your ticket from James as you waited for the others to arrive.
“Look again at the name on them,” James chuckled. He handed you the sticky note that was stuck on the tickets. Written there was your first name but instead of your last name there was Potter.
“Oh she’s hilarious.” You said with an eyeroll, crumpling up the sticky note. The rest of the group made their way over and took their tickets.
“What’s that in your hand?” Sirius asked you as you made your way into the pub. It was pretty crowded but your large group was able to spread itself over a few tables comfortably. Marlene ran off almost immediately to see Yasmine, Mary and Roman had disappeared, and you could see Peter and Dorcas chatting with a few Hufflepuffs. Seated at the table was just you and James, Remus and Sirius, and Lily. Lily offered to grab a round of drinks first, but you knew was looking around for Severus. It didn’t seem like any of the Slytherins had made their way to the pub yet.
“Oh, nothing. Look what Yaz left the tickets under at will call.” You handed Sirius the crumpled paper against your better judgement. Sirius immediately started laughing and said,
“Mrs. Potter! Thank you so much for arranging this visit!”
“You’re welcome, Mrs. Lupin.” You teased back. Lily returned with a tray of drinks for you all as you heard a man tap a few times on the microphone.
“Hello everyone, thank you for coming to our pub. All shots of well liquor are half off for the rest of the night. Without further ado, Queen.” The man stood back to let the band run on stage. Sirius started screaming at the top of his lungs and grabbed Remus by the hand, running to the stage.
It was only 11:30 when Queen left the stage and everyone had had a great time, even Remus who nodded his head a few times during Get Down, Make Love. You all agreed to stay and continue drinking as a smaller local band took the stage to play some background music for the pub.
Remus and Sirius disappeared at one point in the evening and they returned to the table with Sirius's eye makeup smudged, Sirius was wiping his mouth crudely with the back of his hand, and Remus had a dumb little grin. Sirius took his seat back at the table as Remus disappeared off.
“Did Severus not come, Lily?” You asked. You were secretly a little upset that you hadn’t run into Regulus again.
“No, I don’t think so.” Lily said, a little crestfallen.
“Don’t worry,” Remus said, holding a tray of shots that he got from the bar for you all, “Snape, Reg, and Barty all have a table near the bar. Don’t worry, Lily, they’re as enchanting as ever.”
“Oh!” Lily shot up and ran over to the table.
“If they come over here, I swear.” Sirius said, grabbing his and Lily’s shots off the table.
“You think Regulus will come over here?” James asked. You could detect the glimmer of hope in his voice.
“Why?” Sirius teased, “Got a crush? Better watch out Mrs. Potter.”
“So,” James said hastily, “are we going to take this shot or what?”
“Sooner is better than later,” Remus said, nodding his head over to the group of Slytherins that were following Lily back over to your table. You all clinked the glasses together and took the shot, chasing it with sips of your soda, or in Sirius’s case chasing it with Lily’s shot.
“Look who’s here!” Lily said with a nervous smile. Snape was glowering at the group as was Barty. Regulus was only glaring at you.
“Reg,” Sirius said coldly.
“Sirius. You look like Bellatrix.” Regulus said, He hadn’t meant it to be funny but you all burst out laughing.
“You do!” Remus said between gasps for air.
“I’m going to go buy,” Sirius took a minute to count, “eight shots for myself.”
“Don’t be like that, Black!” Barty called after Sirius as he took a seat next to Remus at the table. The energy was a little uncomfortable at first but you quickly learned that the Slytherins had no experience in holding muggle liquor and they were very, very drunk. But, you all were very drunk to the point were words were being slurred.
“I can get the next round,” you said, standing up and immediately stumbling. Regulus reached out to steady you.
“Thanks Mrs. Potter!” Remus called.
“I’ll help,” Regulus said, following you to the bar.
“Thanks Reg. You know, you’re not so bad.” You said with a giggle, reaching up to ruffle Regulus’s hair.
“I hate you,” Regulus said. He had been chuckling so you chuckled back but his face became stony as he looked at you again, “I hate you so much. So much. It eats away at me. It makes my stomach hurt. Every time I see you I think about how much I want you dead.”
“Regulus,” you breathed in sharply and wrapped your fingers around the wand that was stuck in the waistband of your pants. You didn’t want to think about the consequences of using magic in front of a giant group of muggles but if Regulus really did mean you harm, the consequences of not using magic would be much worse.
“Everything okay over here?” James asked, his hand on your lower back.
“Fine,” you said, your heart still hammering inside your chest, “I’m going to get some air.” You walked out the back area of the bar where a few people were out there smoking cigarettes and talking on the payphone. There was a couple that were furiously making out and looked like they were near the point of stripping layers. You looked a little closer and saw it was Mary and Roman, unsurprisingly. You leaned back against the wall and fished a cigarette from your pocket and started patting up and down your pants for your lighter.
“Fuck,” you cursed, looking around to see if anyone around looked kind enough to lend their lighter. The scarce few smokers didn’t seem very friendly and more and more people were leaving the creepy back area by the minute.
“Need a light?” you heard a voice ask. You looked up gratefully but immediately drew your wand when you saw that it was Regulus. He was holding out a lighter but you refused, pointing your wand directly in his face.
“Get away from me, Regulus.”
“You didn’t let me explain,” Regulus took a step towards you but you snapped,
“Don’t come closer.”
“Okay,” Regulus said, his hands up. “I hate you because I’m so jealous. I’m so jealous of you and James.”
“Me and James?” You said, lowering your wand slightly.
“I just,” Regulus pressed his fingers to his temples, “I haven’t been able to think since that night in the history classroom.”
“Oh,” your heart was thudding in your chest but for a different reason now. James made his way outside and said,
“What’s going on?” He looked between you and Regulus and saw your wand drawn and he stood in front of you, drawing his own wand, “What did you do, Regulus?”
“James.” You finally lowered your wand and put your hand on James’ arm. “He wants you.”
“What?” James looked at you like you were insane.
“He wants you.” You repeated. James looked back and saw Regulus’s expression. It was odd, Regulus had a look of yearning and desire and a it was a little pathetic but you thought it was also kind of attractive. And it was certainly having a similar effect on James. His brown eyes were lust blown and he was breathing heavier than usual. He lowered his wand and looked at Regulus,
“Is that true?”
“Yes,” Regulus nodded. Before you could discuss anything further, Sirius stumbled out, laughing drunkenly.
“Hey, so I,” he paused as he took stock of the situation, “everything okay?”
“Fine.” You said quickly.
“Anyway. Peter threw up everywhere so they’re kicking us out of the pub. You all ready to apparate back?”
You all apparated back to Hogsmeade. There was an odd energy between you, James, and Regulus but everyone else seemed to be too drunk to notice. Sirius was practically hanging on you with his arm heavy over your shoulders. You had your arm around Sirius’ waist and you were using all your strength to keep him upright as he spouted his drunken nonsense.
“Oh Mrs. Potter you’re so good to me.” Sirius giggled, pressing a kiss to your cheek.
“Oh Mr. Lupin I wish you would walk on your own.” You responded. You saw in your peripheral vision that Regulus made a face when Sirius called you ‘Mrs. Potter’.
“I think I can get him upstairs,” Remus said, pulling Sirius’ arm over his own shoulders and heading upstairs towards the Gryffindor dorms, Peter trailing behind them. Barty and Snape made their back downstairs towards the Slytherin dorms and you, James, and Regulus were left alone in the corridor.
“We should talk,” James said.
“Let’s get out of the corridor before we get a detention.” You said. James nodded and pulled out the marauders map.
“Looks like the charms classroom is open.” James grabbed your hand and pulled you towards the charms classroom. You stretched your own hand out to Regulus but he shook his head and followed a few paces behind.
“What did you look at?” Regulus asked, looking over at the map that James was pushing back into his pocket.
“Just a map,” James said quickly. You made it to the charms classroom and you sat on top of one of the tables and just watched James and Regulus.
Regulus was nervous, you could practically hear his heavy heartbeat. James, curiously, did not seem very nervous. He was looking at Regulus with a calm and even expression.
“What did you say to my girlfriend?” He asked.
“What?” Regulus was gasping for breath. He looked uncomfortable under the piercing gaze of James’ dark eyes.
“You must have said something to her to make her draw her wand at the bar,” James seemed completely calm but you could see that his knuckles were white as he tightly gripped the edge of a desk.
“I, I…” Regulus was just gaping and struggling to form thoughts.
“He told me he hated me.” You said.
“That’s unacceptable,” James shook his head. “Take your shirt off.” He said it so suddenly and which such force that you had your fingers on the hem of your own shirt before you realized that James was talking to Regulus, not to you. Regulus tore his shirt off and you took a moment to appreciate his delicate, blemishless skin. His skin was so fair you could almost see every single blue vein underneath. Regulus looked back up at you before looking back at James, waiting for the next command.
“Take your panties off,” James said to you this time. You obeyed, pulling the red panties off and holding them in your hand. James walked over to you and took them in his own hands. He held them up to his nose and sniffed before focusing his attention back to Regulus.
“She smells good, Regulus. So good.”
“Can I,” Regulus wet his lips and cleared his throat, “Can I taste?”
“On your knees.” James nodded and Regulus dropped to his knees. James walked over to you and stuck two of his fingers deep inside you. You gasped and grasped James’ wrist in surprise. He didn’t keep his fingers inside you for long and he took them out almost as quickly as they were in. He walked over and held his outstretched fingers in front of Regulus’ lips. Regulus wrapped his lips around James’ fingers and sucked like his life depended on it. James grabbed Regulus’ jaw roughly and pushed his fingers down deeper into Regulus’ mouth. Regulus took them well at first but James pushed his fingers farther and Regulus began to gag and his eyes were starting to water but he showed no other signs on resistance.
“Good,” James said, a little breathless, as he removed his fingers. Regulus had a little bit of spit rolling down his chin as he kept his eyes trained on James. You felt soaking wet at the whole display and you shut your legs and started rubbing them together, trying to find some friction. Regulus’ eyes shot over to you then back to James. James then looked over at you.
“I’m sorry, darling,” he said, walking over to you and pressing a kiss to your forehead, “I’ve been neglecting you.” He sunk down his knees and carefully parted your legs. He sent a look back at Regulus before diving into your pussy. His tongue entered and exited you quickly as his nose bumped up against your clit. Your fingers reached for his hair and you locked eyes with Regulus. Regulus was studying you like a painting as you moaned and bucked against James’ face. James added his fingers and pushed his mouth up to your clit and you were done for, panting and moaning until you came. James came back up and kissed you, his hand in your hair this time. He broke away and rested his forehead on yours, just staring at you. He stretched his arm out behind him and snapped his fingers at Regulus.
“Come here.” He said, without even looking over at him. Regulus scampered over and sat on his knees again, looking up at James.
“What do you want?” James asked Regulus, finally turning away from you.
“You,” Regulus responded, his eyes big and starry.
“Just me?”
“Just you.”
“Well you can’t have just me,” James said, gesturing to you, “we’re sort of a package deal.”
“I don’t want her,” Regulus pouted.
“Hey!” James slapped Regulus across the face, ”watch your mouth.”
“If it means I can have you, I’ll have her too,” Regulus said, swallowing against the lump in his throat. You felt awkward, uncomfortable, like you were intruding on a very private moment between James and Regulus.
“It’s not entirely dependent on your terms,” James exhaled through his nose.
“No, no! I can be good. So good I swear,” Regulus said, sticking two of his own fingers in his mouth to wet them before sticking them inside you. You gasped and looked rapidly between James and Regulus. “I’ll be so good!” Regulus repeated, using his free hand to pull James pants down and spitting in his free hand before stroking James.
Regulus was very talented with his hands, as evidenced by yours and James’ simultaneous moans. Regulus made you cum quickly and he pulled his fingers out of you to focus his attention on James. You got up off the table and joined Regulus, taking the tip of James’ cock into your mouth and kitten licking it. James was looking at you both, beneath him, with lust blown eyes. You outstretched your hand and gently pushed Regulus’ mouth towards James’ cock. Regulus took James into his mouth and you could hear him control his breathing as he took James as much as could. James was rougher with Regulus then he was with you and you could tell Regulus was trying to control his gag reflex but James was borderline fucking Regulus’ face.
“James,” you said softly, putting your hand on James’ stomach to slow him, “be gentle.” James slowed his movements and let Regulus pull off and take a gasping breath.
“I’m sorry,” James panted, “your mouth just felt so fucking good oh my god.” James ran a hand through his hair.
“Don’t be.” Regulus said, “It was hot.”
You were overcome for a moment and you pulled Regulus in and kissed him. Regulus was shocked at first but he kissed you back. It was sweet and gentle, lots of lips and tongue and soft breathy moans. You broke away and you pulled James down to your level. You gently pushed Regulus and James closer together until James finally crossed the distance and kissed Regulus. This was rougher, harder. More teeth and light biting and desperate moans. Regulus and James pulled away and James said,
“I want to try something.”
“Anything for you,” Regulus responded. James positioned Regulus so he was above you and Regulus pushed into you. Regulus’ body was a contrast of yours. His sharp contours against your soft ones. James watched as Regulus fucked you. Then, James pushed himself into Regulus. Regulus released a strangled moan and practically collapsed on top of you, his face in your neck so you could hear his moans. You locked eyes with James and James leaned over Regulus’ body to kiss you.
Regulus came first, inside you, an action that you would think about later. You came shortly after still around Regulus’s cock and you were far overstimulated but Regulus couldn’t pull out of you as James was still chasing his own orgasm. James finally came, pulling out Regulus quickly and cumming all over Regulus’ back. Regulus pulled out of you and you all just laid in the charms classroom for a few minutes, breathing and savoring the silence.
“Sirius is going to be so mad when he finds out about this,” you said, chuckling at the shocked expression of the two men in front of you.

Behind the scenes pictures of Queen on iconic I Want to Break Free music video gives extraordinary glimpse into closeness of the band
The fascinating pictures show the band fooling around on the video shoot
By DAN SALES

Never-before-seen pictures of Queen making the trailblazing I Want To Break free music video shows the incredible bond between the band members. Candid images - all shot by veteran photographer Simon Fowler - show the sheer joy and fun of the group during the now-legendary filming of the promo. The video stunned music fans when it came out and had the rockers dressed up as housewives in a suburban home. In one of the newly-revealed pictures the band are shown in hysterics, with one crewmember wiping away tears of laughter as Freddie Mercury fools around behind a bewigged John Deacon. Freddie appears to be pretending to be a hairdresser as John chuckles in his seat, as Brian May beams by a back wall as they stare into the mirror at their new look. Later Brian can be seen clutching his curlers as he gazes into the distance as he is captured on film. Roger Taylor also looks to be having a ball in one of the archive pictures, pouting in his schoolgirl-style costume. Photographer Simon, who took pictures of the group throughout their career, opened up his archives to allow MailOnline to publish some of the incredible shots.
The band are seen having a great laugh backstage as they get ready to shoot the video promo
Roger Taylor in costume pouts as his picture is taken on the set of I Want To Break Free in 1984
He said he had no idea the theme of the video before he had turned up at Limehouse Studios in London to take the pictures. Simon recalled: 'On Break Free I didn't get any idea of what it was going to be. I turned up and saw them and thought "Whoa, what is going on?". 'It was obviously a pastiche of Coronation Street. I remember on the day everybody was just fooling around laughing. 'It was so much fun that I was amazed that they actually got a video done. 'They had no concerns about doing anything that was unusual - they would just do it. 'They were just messing around in between the filming. I remember one funny moment when they were trying the stuff on and asking each other "what do you reckon of this wig?". 'That was the great thing about it, you have got Freddie with his big old 'tache, giving it all. 'It was without doubt the most fun shoot I have done. 'Every time I think about it I smile, the day just went so fast because everyone was having such a good time - it just whizzed by.
Simon revealed that the band preferred to be photographed all together for their promo shots
Brian May looks like he has awoken from a deep sleep with the curlers in this of Simon's shots
'When you get there I didn't know the story and the PR told me and I thought "that sounds great". 'I went backstage and the first thing I saw was them getting all their clobber done.' Simon had photographed the band before after getting a phone call during the recording of their Hot Space album. That record spawned the Under Pressure anthem and at first the photographer admits he had no idea who he would be going to shoot. He recalled: 'I got a call out of the blue to do a job and originally thought they had said Cream at the time, which I thought couldn't have been right. 'Back in those days you would get millions of calls. I only realised later it was Queen and I was told I would only get ten minutes with them and it turned into three hours. It was for the album Hot Space. 'I think we just got on pretty well - I wasn't expecting much time at all and it was brilliant. 'Roger actually got me to do a bit of tapping when they were recording. I like to think I'm on Hot Space somewhere. It just went from there really.' The band loved his work so he was invited back and ended up doing numerous shoots with them.
John Deacon - whose character in the video was miserable - laughs in a moment of down time
Freddie Mercury poses up on the set, leaning on a cabinet as he looks to the side of the room
But he counts his work on I Want to Break Free as one of the most exciting jobs of his career. He admitted: 'I knew when I got called in for it, that it was going to be interesting. 'They wouldn't scrimp on stuff with the videos, they were big productions. If CGI was around then I am sure that would be what they were doing. 'When you were on set you would have to have eyes in the back of your head in some of the bigger productions, where there were cranes and stuff going round. 'When we went for lunch Brian was on the catering bus talking to me. He was still in the outfit with the curlers. 'I remember thinking "that's Brian May opposite me". It was so surreal. 'At the end of the day we saw the cut and it just looked great. 'I remember John taking a nap during the day, which he would have needed because the reality is they would have got there very early. 'They were trailblazers with videos, they really were. Queen were so unique in whatever they did. Brian with the sound and the guitar. I loved every minute of it
Veteran music photographer Simon Fowler is selling prints in aid of the Mercury Phoenix Trust
'Freddie was a trooper right up until the end. One of the things people don't notice about pictures of Queen is that you could never often get them out of the line-up 'They would not often move out of all four of them together for pictures. 'I think that's because they were a band but they were also incredible close friends too. 'They all had each others backs, none of them thought of themselves as the star - they were all equals.' The behind-the-scenes pictures were brought back into the spotlight as Simon as he compiled Fine Art Prints of Freddie, Brian, Roger and John from The Miracle shoot. They are being sold to help the fight against HIV and AIDS, with 50 per cent of proceeds going to the Mercury Phoenix Trust. Simon added: 'I was thrilled to do this and just give something back and help a really great cause. 'I was delighted by the response and hope it can keep helping people.' (x)

hi
could you please do a BoRhap request? Where she looks after the guys during recording since her family owns Rockfield Farm and they love her cooking? But the guys (minus Fred who has Mary) all fancy her too?
❤️
SOMEBODY TO LOVE
Pairings: John + Roger + Brian x Fem!reader Summary: ^^ Warnings: none, I don't think Note: I did my best guys, I'm sorry
a knock came to your door as you finished up breakfast
you left the kitchen and went to the front door
you opened the door to see a blonde with long hair with sunglasses on
he was wearing dark, slightly flared jeans, a yellow v neck shirt underneath a greeny grey jacket with fur
behind him was a short haired brunette with a mustache
he pushed the blonde out of the way and held out his hand
"hi, I'm paul, this is Roger, From Queen" he introduced
of course you knew Queen was coming to your family's farm, it wasn't like you didn't know who they were and wouldn't let them in, it's just that you felt Rogers gaze planted on you and it made you feel a little nervous
"you're not" Roger scoffed quietly
"yes, of course, come in, are the rest here too?" you asked, stepping out of the way to let them in
"they're sorting out their luggage" Roger answered, taking off his glasses
"well, I made breakfast..if you're hungry?" you smiled tightly
"depends what you're serving" Roger smirked and looked you up and down
"pancakes" you responded quickly
"yeah, I could eat"
he followed you to the kitchen and he took a seat, shovelling food onto the plate in front of him and started eating
a few minutes later Roger had finished his plate and went back for seconds
"ah there you are Freddie" Paul spoke up, noticing the other three band members by the door
"we're also here mate" the tall, long curly haired brunette said, seeming annoyed by Paul's presence
"should I show you boys to your rooms?" you wondered, breaking the silence that filled the room
The three boys standing at the door all turned to you
"didn't know the farm came with a pretty lady" the curly Brunette smiled
"oh I'm Y/n. this is my Family's Farm. I live in the building beside this one, I'm just here to show you around"
"are those pancakes for us?" the auburn haired one said
"oh, yes! you can have as many as you want" you pointed to the mountain of pancakes you had made on the counter
"they are delicious" Roger said with a mouthful of food
"well I'm Brian, This is Fred and John and I see you've already met Rog"
"it's a pleasure to meet you guys"
"pleasure's all ours darling" Freddie beamed
"well I'll show you your rooms then" you said taking off your apron and leading them upstairs
"it's probably not what you're used to but your manager said it was perfect to get away from distractions so" you shrugged
you turned to face the boys and see Roger first
"you're in here. mister Taylor" you looked to the first door
"right" he grunted, walking into the room with his heavy luggage
"and that's yours, Mister Mercury" you pointed to the room in the corner to the left
"thank you darling"
"Mister May, yours is right here" pointing to the right side next to the bathroom
Brian walked into the room and you noticed John still standing on the top of the stairs
"oh, sorry. mister Deacon, you're downstairs" he walks back down the stairs and you lead him down to the room.
"I know it's small but it doesn't get nearly as cold as the other rooms" you informed him
"okay..." he frowns as he steps down
"well I'll let you get settled then, i'll show you and the band around when you're ready" you smiled, starting to go up the stairs
"are there still pancakes?" he asked, putting his luggage down on the bed
"oh yeah, they'd probably still be warm too" you answered
he soon started following you up the stairs to the kitchen to find all the other members of the band eating the pancakes
"Rog really didn't lie, these pancakes are delicious" Brian hummed
"we need more syrup" Roger lifted up the empty bottle of maple syrup
"oh..ok" you walked over to the fridge as John took a seat and started eating the food
"here you go" you grinned, putting the syrup on the table in front of them
-
it's been a few days since they've arrived and much to your surprise, you've seen more of them then you expected
you didn't think you would see much of them, you thought thy would be very busy and you didn't have a problem with that
but Roger, Brian and John all seemed to want you around them
Roger would casually flirt with you
Brian would always start up a conversation or make you help with with a lyric
and John would subtly make eye contact and smile before coming up to you to ask for suggestions
and they would all ask if you could cook them up something when they got hungry and said they liked your cooking, so much so that there would be barely any left for Freddie or you.
Roger was currently helping you make breakfast while Brian and John sat and ate while they discussed songs
"i put my heart and soul into this song" Roger spoke up as they talked about his new song he made
"no one is disputing that" John smiled, lifting up his fork
"and you don't like it because you want your songs on the album" Roger fought
"it's not that Roger" John denied
"then what is it?" the blonde raised his eyebrows as he stopped cutting bread
"I'm in love with my car?" Brian spoke up
you fought back a laugh at the thought of the song
Brian and John both made a questionable face as silence filled the air
"maybe it's not strong enough?" Brian suggested
"what does that even mean 'not strong enough'?" Roger frowned
"I know I'm late. What did I miss?" Freddie came in and poured himself some tea
John straightened his back and looked at the singer "discussing Roger's car song"
"is it strong enough, that's all I'm asking. If I'm on my own here, then i apologise" Brian put his hands up defensively
"how does your new song go, then, hm?" Roger walked over and grabbed Brians lyrics
"you call me sweet.. like I'm some kind of cheese" the drummer read out
you stifled a laugh as you cooked bacon
"it's good" Brian defended, looking at the John who was eating a sausage with a smile and Freddie who was stirring his tea
"wow" Roger sighed sarcastically
"is that-, is that you know- when my hand's on your grease gun..That's very subtle isn't it?" Brian read Rogers back
"it's a metaphor, Brian" Roger argued
"it's just a bit weird Roger, what exactly are you doing with that car?" John spoke, waving his fork around
"what do you think, Y/n?" Roger turned to you, looking for backup
you put the now cooked bacon on a plate and turned to the boys
"don't turn to me, I'm not getting involved" you shook your head
"children please, we could all murder each other but then who would be left to record this album?" Freddie butted in
"statistically speaking, most bands don't fail, they break up" John stated mater-of-a-factly
"why the hell would you say something like that?" Freddie frowned
John shrugged and Freddie turned back to the Blonde
"Roger, there's only room in this band for one hysterical queen" Freddie informed the drummer before walking out
"you know why you're angry, Roger?" Brian began again
"...why?" Roger breathed out
"'cause you know you're song isn't strong enough" the curly headed man repeated
"boys I really don't think you should be-" you started to say but cut off by Roger throwing bacon at Brian's face
"is that strong enough?" Roger questioned
"ok" you mumbled, looking at John, who smiled at you amusingly
Roger pushed off plates and glasses off the table angrily
"what about that?!" he asked before going over to find something else
"Hey!" you yelled at Roger, who grabbed a pot of Coffee
he turned and began to swing it at the two boys before he stopped as they put their hands up
"Not the coffee machine!?" they both yelled
Roger put the coffee machine down and you sighed looking at the mess
"I'll clean this up" he sighed after a moment of silence
"you sure are" you nodded sternly
-
you sat in the recording room on the couch with John and Roger as Brian got ready to record his guitar
Roger slung his arm around your shoulder as Brian got set up
"so..how about we go get dinner later" he suggested
"pardon?" you wondered
"you, me, i'll take you out to dinner" he repeated
"I highly doubt she'll want to go out with you, Roger, she's too good for you" John sighed
"and what? you're better?" the drummer scoffed, looking over you to the auburn headed bassist
John stared at Roger for a moment
"how's katie? last time we saw her was right before we left to come here" the Deacon wondered
"shut it mate" Roger groaned
your thoughts were cut short as Brian started playing
you focused on the music but felt John's gaze on you, you slowly turned your head to see him staring at you, smiling
"so, do you have a boyfriend?" Roger asked
"I don't see how that's any of your business" you crossed your arms, looking back at Brian, who's still playing his solo
"what if I want to ask you out?" he shrugged
"how come you're the one that gets to ask her out?" John leans forward to argue with Roger
"because I can" the Taylor boy smirked
"Roger, do you have to be such a man whore?" John questioned, his accent become more defined and thick
"I think you're just jealous you don't get women chasing after you" Roger huffed, leaning back on the couch, seeming to be not fazed
"ah yes, because all i need is women to make me feel better about myself, all i need and want is women around me to fill a void of unfulfillment" John rolled his eyes
"oh yeah? let's see who she wants more then" Roger raises his eyebrows as he took off his glasses to look at you
John frowned "you can't pressure her into choosing either of us...that's not how relationships work, Roger"
Roger stifled a laugh "who said I wanted a relationship"
"my point exactly"
"all i'm saying" is that she's probably looking for somebody to love and i'm right here" Roger raised his hands in defense
"what makes you think she wants someone?" John glared
"children, children. leave the poor girl alone, she doesn't want either of you" Freddie butted in
you found yourself wondering how it came to this, two members of the band Queen almost practically fighting for your, to be with you
it made sense about Roger, seeing all of those tabloids of him with new girls around his shoulder almost every week
but John? he didn't really seem the type
you tuned out of the argument and soon wondered when Brian came back into the room as you looked up to find him sitting with Freddie
"I think whatever happens, it's up to her, you shouldn't be trying to force something she does not want" John fought
"what are you guys fighting about?"
"who gets to take this beautiful lady out" Roger smirked, nodding towards you
"who says either of you get to?" Brian spoke in a confused manner
"oh don't tell me you want her too?" Roger groaned
"what's so wrong about that?" the guitarist questioned
"I'm gonna go" you sighed, getting up
"are you still going to make us pasta tonight?" John perked up
you chuckled "I think you all need a break from my cooking"
"NO!!"

An important 1969 letter and drawing from Freddie Mercury to Ibex bandmate Mick "Miffer" Smith
MERCURY, FREDDIE
Autograph letter signed and original drawing sent to Ibex bandmate Mick “Miffer” Smith. Paddington, London: 16 October 1969. A two-page autograph letter in dark blue ink from Freddie Mercury, signed "Fred," addressed to Mick Smith as "Miffer." The letter with Mercury's "40 Ferry Rd" address at the head. Each page 6 3/4 x 5 1/2 inches (17 x 13.5 cm). The letter in a framed display with a fine pencil portrait of Smith by Mercury signed "Ponce," this 6 3/4 x 5 inches (17 x 12 cm), the original postmarked mailing envelope in Mercury's hand addressed to Smith in Widnes, and an original ticket to the debut performance of Ibex at Honiton Hall (Penketh) dated 23 May 1969, the ticket with a scalloped edge in gold. The letter with a usual horizontal crease and a few faint spots to the second page, very fine and dark overall, the drawing with a few spots, the whole nicely framed together and the items have not been removed from the frame but does not appear laid-down; Together with the book Queen: As it Began, inscribed for "Miffer" by the fellow Ibex bandmates in 1992 (published after Mercury's death). Publisher's cloth in dust jacket, minor wear but a fine copy overall. Also offered in the lot is a Time Magazine publication offering early photographs of Mercury, Miffer and this early group of friends and bandmates.
A remarkable and rare letter from Freddie Mercury (1946-1991) dated 1969, in the salad days a year before the forming of Queen, with references to seeing Led Zeppelin, sexuality, songs he is writing, and upcoming performances. Freddie Mercury is best-remembered as a singer/songwriter but in the mid-1960s, Zanzibar-born Mercury was an aspiring student at Ealing Art College (Pete Townsend and Ronnie Wood also attended) and is known to have decorated his walls with drawings he made of Jimi Hendrix. Mercury was a very capable draftsman as attested by the detailed drawing offered with this letter which is published in Queen: As it Began. Graduating in the spring of 1969, Mercury bought a guitar, taught himself to play, and began writing songs. That summer he was introduced to the Liverpool-based heavy blues trio Ibex which comprised guitarist Mike Bersin and bassist John "Tupp" Taylor, both of whom have signed the volume here presented to the drummer, Mick "Miffer" Smith, who later recalled: "We auditioned Freddie to take over lead vocals from Mike ... we were all competent players, we could handle our instruments, but none of us was particularly good at singing. Freddie had a great voice, with a terrific range, but he didn't really know how to use it. Once we had Freddie, we were a little rough and ready, but we showed a lot of potential" (Queen: As it Began, p. 28). Ibex's first performance was at Honitan Hall in May of 1969 and a very rare artifact is a ticket to this debut concert framed alongside the drawing and letter. Mick "Miffer" Smith moved to the United States in late 1969 and Mercury briefly joined Sour Milk Sea before rejoining Bersin and Taylor to form Wreckage. Disbanded by March 1970, in April Mercury teamed up with guitarist Brian May and drummer Roger Taylor to form Smile. Joined by bassist John Deacon in 1971, they renamed themselves Queen and the rest is rock 'n roll history.
But just before Queen was formed, in October 1969, Freddie Mercury wrote this remarkable letter to his friend and bandmate "Miffer," who had returned to Widnes to assist his family. The letter is a tour-de-force of descriptive thought and a growing passion for writing music. Penned in dark blue ink in Mercury's distinctive hand with looping letters and neat circles dotting i's and j's, the letter opens with Mercury hoping that "this finds you in the pink of health" and jokes that he doesn't need to ask about Smith's "sexual pleasures of late as your kinky perverted mind will have led you to obscenities and variations never before performed in Widnes." After mentioning moving into his new flat (that at 40 Ferry Road in London) and nearly being "sacked" from his job (possibly as a baggage handler at Heathrow?), Mercury eloquently describes seeing Led Zeppelin at the Lyceum. Robert Plant's performance is described as "orgasmic" and he goes into detail about the masterful drumming of John Bonham which would have appealed to "Miffer," Ibex's hard-hitting drummer. On his sexuality, Freddie Mercury writes that "I hear from several sources that you've informed them that I've turned into a fully fledged queer ... Meanwhile I'm making do with John." Personal statements such as those from Mercury are rife with research potential.
The next two paragraphs are devoted to music. He reports on the upcoming gigs with Wreckage at St. Mark and St. John and most notably another "with Smile on Dec. 6th (Definite)," this one of Mercury's earliest performances with Brian May and the band that would become Queen. Still between the two groups, Mercury mentions entering Wreckage into the "Melody Makers Group contest" noting that the "top group gets loads of equipment and money. So we definitely need a thorough practice." He continues "I've written the words to the new songs, titled 'Green' 'Cancer on my Mind' and 'Without you.' Smile are playing with the Taste on Saturday and I'm going to ponce along." The drawing of Miffer present here is also signed "Ponce," a term used playfully and frequently by Mercury to describe his stage presence although in British slang this term has a multitude of meanings. The letter closes by asking after friends and is signed "All the best, Fred."
We trace few letters from Freddie Mercury in the auction record and none from this pivotal early period, written to a bandmate, and before the success of Queen changed his life forever.

Teaser for a New Queen/Maylor (Brian May x Roger Taylor) fic
I’ve been having a moment with Interview with the Vampire (2022 TV series), and look what the Muse has popped up!
You Make Me—a preview:
“I believe you will like him, once you’ve met him,” said Roger. “Really, he’s too adorable. He fancies himself dying—”
“He is dying, darling!” retorted Freddie.
“Yes! But we have just the remedy for that, don’t we?”
“This is nothing but the ruthless pursuit of bliss with all a child’s demanding,” said Deacy disapprovingly. “Might I suggest you do not wield your powers so recklessly. Remember the last time you did and the mess you made that got us exiled from most of Europe.”
“But not Paris,” returned Roger smoothly. “So it doesn’t really count, does it?”
“Darling, this is just an infatuation. One of many. Just treat it as such and let him go when his time comes. It won’t be long, anyway.”
“Brian Harold May is different. He loves all things eternal,” argued Roger fiercely. “Mathematics. The stars. Music. He loves me. And I do mean to have him.”
The lads as vampire rock stars ala Lestat. Do let me know if we have a shot at this! XD

Hangman X Mercury!Daughter Reader
(A/n: Yet another one of my *insert a franchise* x queen band reader fics. I'm not even sorry for this. XD. It takes place modern day, so just imagine Live Aid now, basically. Also, for the sake of the fic, Jim Hutton will be an Admiral at Top Gun. Just go with it. Do not repost. Enjoy.)
The crowd roared as you, (your father) Freddie Mercury and your uncles, Brian May and John deacon, along with your godfather, Roger Taylor bowed. As you stood back up from the bow, the sound of a plane engine came overhead. You looked up and saw Jake's F-18 barrel rolling over Wembley Stadium. You laughed and shook your head and did a slight salute to him.
Five hours later, you walk into the Hard Deck and see the entire of the Dagger Squad crowded around a TV which was re-running Live Aid. You smirk when you see that everyone's eyes are glued to Queen's set, more specifically, your solo during Hammer To Fall.
"Damn, I look good onstage." you mutter to Penny as she hands you a beer and you give her the money. "Thanks." You see your other father, five-star admiral, Jim Hutton, call sign 'Bud'. You smile at him as you give a small salute.
"I say your performance, Y/n. I'm sorry I couldn't be there to see it." His soft, Irish accent came as a welcome, yet familiar, change as he pulled you in for a hug.
"It's fine, we c'n still see it. Apparently the BBC are still showing it." You say, gesturing to a TV, which had it on. Jake watched as you interacted with the Admiral. 'How the hell did you know him?' he thought before going back to watch you on the screen. He smirked as the concert set was finished and the sound of a plane thundered overhead. On the screen, you looked up and smiled, shaking your head before doing a mini salute. "I think that was quite a nice touch, personally." You say to your father who is sitting beside you and watching the screen. "Papa should be coming with the guys. I left just after they started talking to Mick Jagger."
"I think your pilot wants to talk with you, love." He said, gesturing to Jake, who had walked over. "I'll leave you two be." He walked to the outside tables and sat down.
"That was some move, Hangman." You smirked as he stood beside you.
"Glad you enjoyed it, sweetheart.” Jake responded as the Dagger Squad’s jaws dropped.
“Hi, um, I’m Y/n Mercury.”
“Thought you were going by Hutton-Mercury.” Phoenix piped up. She had been friends with you ever since you had ran into her the night you met Jake.
“Nah, Mercury on Stage, Hutton-Mercury for government shit a-“
“And Seresin everywhere else.” Jake whispered in your ear but you knew full well that everyone herd him.
“You ain’t put a ring on it, so I ain’t changing it yet.”

Today, on November 10th, 1978 - Queen Story!
"Jazz" album released in the UK
👉 The seventh studio album
➡️ 12/12/1978 - Circus Magazine
🔸In praise of ‘JAZZ’
The boys conjure up a bizarre junket by Mark Mehler
On Bourbon Street, in the heart of New Orleans’ fabled French Quarter, the sign reads, “Bob Harrington-Chaplain of Bourbon Street.” Upstairs, the freelance minister administers to the wicked minions below, while across the street, the Hotsy Totsy lounge features naked women parading across an oak bar from dawn to dusk, and next door, the “X-rated Shop” specializes in scatological posters and joy sticks.
This is Freddie Mercury’s favourite American city, where the Mississippi ends its majestic flow and zealots with big dreams fight a losing battle against hustlers, procurers, and all purveyors of sleaze. It is Freddie Mercury’s favourite city because the lead singer and bucktoothed front man of Queen is, above all, an actor. And in New Orleans, anyone can be anyone they want to be. Tonight, October 31, 1978-Halloween-Freddie Mercury and Queen have flown in 80 reporters from the U.S., Europe, Latin America and Japan, to see a show and be a part of a show at the same time. The third concert on Queen’s 28-city U.S. tour is in the ornate Civic Auditorium. Above the stage are listed the names of the mighty: Shakespeare, Michelangelo, Cellini, Durer, Gounod. Out of the soft blue and green lights and smoke, Freddie Mercury struts like a rooster, striking ballet poses, under an astral guitar blare that neatly skirts the sharp edges of rock & roll. The melodies are undistinguished, but the constant tempo changes of “Bohemian Rhapsody” and “We Will Rock You”, keep an audience awake for nearly two hours of uninterrupted music. The lighting show is one of rock’s most ambitious. Eerie purple lights shine out over the heads of the audience, making their hair seem cloudlike and inanimate. At the midpoint of the show, a smaller stage is lowered from the ceiling and 400 lamps meld into the sheer white plane of curtain light. Freddie is a whirling dervish, dominating every corner of the stage.
“Some people call this song ‘Spread Your Legs’, he tells the audience, introducing ‘Spread Your Wings’. “And I like it that way”.
Starting out in black sequins, he comes out for the first encore bedecked in orange hot pants, dancing around like Peter Pan. For the second encore he’s wearing a revealing, white body stocking. As he wails ‘We Are The Champions’, his voice warbles with mock emotion, and he grasps the microphone for support. At the apex of the triumphant denouement, the top executives of Elektra Records, who have sat smiling throughout the show, arise as one and walk out. Moments later, the show closes with a taping of ‘God Save The Queen’. Body and soul spent, Freddie ambles off stage, drained and spark-less. But Halloween night in New Orleans has just begun.
Back in the ballroom of the Fairmont Hotel, over 400 people have gathered to await Queen and much on a sumptuous table of hors d’oeuvres, such as Oysters Rockfeller and Shrimp Creole. A Dixieland band plays uninspired jazz jingles, until, shortly before midnight, the Olympia Brass band comes marching through the hall accompanied by Queen-the mercurial Mercury, the winsome Brian May, the puckish John Deacon, the velvety Roger Taylor. Suddenly, like a giant circus orchestrated by a deranged ringmaster, a legion of strippers, vulgar fat-bottomed dancers, snake charmers, drag queens, and bizarrely festooned revellers, begin to strut their stuff before the assembled masses. Freddie Mercury is besieged by hungry autograph seekers, groupies and fame-worshippers. People begin shielding their clothes, as an ever-imaginative photographer snaps Freddie signing the bare backside of a willowy transvestite. Freddie begins sucking on his giant overbite nervously, and by 2 a.m., he is mercifully gone. Brian May, who seems to be the true organizer of the night’s carnival, is cornered by persistent Japanese newshounds. “It’s wonderful,” he keeps saying. “It’s so nice to be back.” As the evening wears on, epicene men and butch women act out charades of power that would have embarrassed Hemingway. Three obese black women in g-strings do a pathetic bump and grind, and another female participant amuses a small gaggle of onlookers by putting a cigarette in an unlikely place. People leave to check out the scene on Bourbon Street and drift back to the party like cigar smoke. At 4 a.m., a Queen security guard, haggard and irritable, inquires when it will all be over. “Queen wants the naked disco dancers going to dawn,” informs his partner. And it does. The following day, Queen reappears at a press conference at Brennan’s, one of the French Quarter’s most elegant restaurants. Again, it is Roger Taylor and Brian May who dominate the conversation, as Freddie Mercury seems vaguely preoccupied. The subject of all this is ‘Jazz’, Queen’s new album, which contains no jazz. “People think we take ourselves a lot more seriously than we actually do,” says Roger Taylor. ‘Jazz’, Queen’s reunion with former producer Roy Thomas Baker, offers ‘Mustapha’, an up-tempo Hebrew rocker; ‘Fat Bottomed Girls’, a song that owes a lot to Pure Prairie League’s ‘Amie’; and more indulgent rhapsodies like ‘Jealousy’ and ‘Bicycle Race’, with its topical references to Star Wars, Jaws, and Superman. The ad campaign, like everything about the Band, goes to the limit of good taste: 11 bare-chested, major-league-yabboed women racing bicycles.
“It’s cheeky”, admits Freddie, “naughty, but not lewd. Certain stores, you know, won’t run our poster. I guess some people don’t like to look at nude ladies.”
Freddie, 32, was born in Zanzibar and educated in India, and was a childhood table tennis and hockey prodigy. He studied art and became a graphic designer and illustrator, having given up piano lessons in the fourth grade. But he continued singing, fronting his first band at 14 and forming Queen with Roger and Brian in 1970. After the routine easy grilling, Mercury is cornered outside. “You seem to be removed from the character up on stage. Is that really you?”
“No,” says Freddie, “of course it’s an act.”
He denies pandering to gays; or for that matter, to anyone. He hints at a quiet, restless man who needs to step outside of himself for ego-stimulation.
“I have fun wearing all those costumes,” he says. “I can really cut loose up there”.
Freddie is then swiftly ushered out, and again, Brian May is left behind to field the endless questions of the Japanese. The two-day junket, painstakingly directed by and for Queen, ends with a few straggling journalists eating Bananas Foster and being more cynical than usual. Outside, on Bourbon Street, a folk singer entertains an empty house of red velour seats, affirming that a falling tree makes a sound whether it’s heard or not. Which conjures up something Brian May had said about Queen constantly seeking “direct communication with our audience.” For all the words that describe Queen’s trip to New Orleans, direct is surely not one.

Godzilla 2014 made me believe cinema was real again.
That is...such a weird title and statement. It started off as “This film made me believe cinema was real again.” which is again, still very weird. But after seeing Fast X yesterday, I REALLY wanted to see this film. I have not rewatched it in some years. It’s been an hour since I watched it.
But yeah, Godzilla 2014. The first film in the Monsterverse. A film that is loved or hated by whoever you talk to. But what are my thoughts on it after not seeing it fully I assume for nearly four years.
I was a bit more critical or so years back. But let me just get straight to the point. Because I won’t make this a detailed review (Turns out, it became detailed, I took an hour and nearing two to finish this) and won’t spoil anything despite the film will be ten years old next years. Despite the concerns of how I would feel when I would watch it. Here’s what I think now about the film...
I FUCKING LOVE THIS FILM.
I SHIT YOU NOT.
(Again, this got detailed, there’s more to read in the keep reading option)
Granted, I totally get the criticisms and nitpicks people have towards this film. But to me, this is likely the BEST start to an American Godzilla franchise. And I feel like since I’m older now. I appreciate this film more so now than when I was younger. Mainly because I think my priorities are different. And also again, a film I saw yesterday just...what I watched yesterday. I also planned on watching Godzilla 2014 sometime, but I felt the time was now because oh my God. I needed this.
Again, I totally get the criticisms towards this film. Let me get straight to the point. I really think some of the advertising did not do this film well. Despite how powerful the promotions were. I legit think some of it needed to be different. Because the expectations were high. But also, the main protagonist, Ford Brody.
In all seriousness, even though he’s a passive protagonist, even though he doesn’t seem like it when I look back at it. While Joe Brody’s performance by Bryan Cranston is undeniably powerful. Especially that emotional scene with him and his wife. But I don’t mind Ford, Aaron Taylor Johnson does a good job. Everyone does a good job with the roles they are given. The best ones I think are Ken Watanabe as Ishiro Serizawa and also again, Bryan.
I feel like maybe the best option to me would’ve been to combine the characters of Joe and Ford into one character. Which may be difficult. Or somehow convince the audience in the promos, “No, this isn’t Godzilla vs Walter White. Please don’t expect that.” Because I legit feel like the roles are pretty good in where they are at. I do agree that maybe give more humanizing moments with Ford despite he’s already a fine character. Maybe moments with him family that’s more akin to something like Roy Scheider’s Chief Martin Brody (Amusing they both have the same last names) from Jaws. Maybe a moment similar to this between Ford and Sam. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AiYQtzRD8w
Yet we do have a scene with his family. I’m rambling on, but honestly, none of the human characters are bad.
Maybe Ford could’ve used a character arc to maybe get people invested in his character. But again, none of the characters bothered me. They all do their jobs fine within the story they are in. Now, let’s get to the other parts.
BECAUSE HOLY SHIT. I WISHED I COULD’VE SEEN THIS FILM IN AN IMAX THEATER.
But in all seriousness, with the room I’m sleeping in. It can feel like my own theater room in a way. But seriously, there so much good stuff in this film. Such as the score, its fit so damn well. Even though it may not be the iconic Akira Ifukube theme which they weren’t allowed to use. But it fits damn well with this film.
Let me tell you this and I got to get to this point this. Brian Rogers stressed his and Legendary’s wish was to revive Godzilla in the same fashion Legendary did with Batman. And the influences for Godzilla 2014 were films like Jaws, Alien, and Close Encounters of the Third Kind. With Gareth stating he grew up watching Spielberg films and wanted to do the same thing with this. Along with growing up with early 80′s and late 70′s action films.
Let me tell you this. Despite whatever issues I may have with this film. But it’s not a whole lot. But let me tell you this, I think they managed to actually do that. They actually did it. Because this film is likely in my list of favorite Godzilla films. I now get what I thought they said they were trying to do “The Dark Knight” of Godzilla. Yet that wasn’t an official quote, I took that Legendary quote wrong of them reviving Godzilla the same way they did Batman. But I must say, they did well on that.
I legit felt excited and happy watching this film. Especially at certain epic moments and the more tense moments. Those were good, this is a legitimate good film. Because I’ll say this, it’s fine some people may find this film boring, and complaining about the fights being at nighttime. Or cutting off away from the fights at times. I totally get that. Do I wish some of that was dealt with differently? Absolutely, but I am fucking happy.
I haven’t even talked about Godzilla and the MUTO’s. I’ll always love Godzilla, the portrayal of him, and all that. He’s a presence when he’s on screen and my God, he is done incredible justice. The “Last Samurai” approach to his character works well here. And despite my strange feelings towards them. But I seem to love the MUTO’s more than ever. Or it’s mainly because I love their uniqueness and how different they are. While they aren’t characters like King Ghidorah, Destoroyah, Gigan or the Gryphon from the original screenplay for TriStar’s Godzilla. But that’s okay, they’re so different and have so many elements that make me appreciate them as characters. Kind or...more so than some of their original concepts. That being Rokmutul and Pterodactyl. But fuck, I would’ve loved those guys too. But again, the MUTO’s make more sense.
There’s so much good stuff in this film. The production value, the directing, again, the score and so much other stuff. But I think I’ve rambled long enough. While I could be overpraising it and the Godzilla franchise has been on my mind lately. Including that ridiculous title I wrote for this post.
But alias, I was legit happy watching this film. And again, now that I’m older, I appreciate this film much more. And I’m someone who loves films like Kong Skull Island and Godzilla KOTM 2019.
This is such a good film.

'Freddie Mercury felt like a god. Then he started behaving like one,' by the man who signed Queen
By NORMAN J SHEFFIELD, Founder of Trident Studios where Queen first recorded // PUBLISHED: 17:00 EDT, 20 July 2013 | UPDATED: 17:16 EDT, 20 July 2013 (x)
NORMAN J SHEFFIELD on the amazing story of how one of Britain's best loved rock bands made it big
Freddie Mercury used to say there was no question in his mind that Queen would be a success
I was sitting in my office one day in 1971 when I got a call from my brother Barry down in the studio.
‘Norman, come down and have a listen to something,’ he said.
John Anthony, Trident’s A&R man, had discovered a band called Smile.
At the start, the lead guitarist was an astrophysics student from Imperial College called Brian May, the bassist and singer was an art student called Tim Staffell, and the drummer was a biology student called Roger Taylor.
It turned out that they’d now reshaped the band.
Staffell had been replaced by this little Indian-looking guy with a big, operatic voice and they had a new bass player.
John had asked for their demo. It was raw but there was definitely something there. I’d opened Trident Studios in 1968 in Soho.
Its cutting-edge facilities and happening vibe were attracting the greatest talents of the era, from The Beatles and Elton John to David Bowie and Marc Bolan.
The four guys who came into my office a couple of weeks later were an intriguing mix of characters.
Roger Taylor was a really good-looking kid, with long blond hair and charm. Brian May was tall with a mane of curls and a little introverted but clearly very intelligent. The bass player, John Deacon, was also quiet. I could tell right away that the fourth member was going to be high maintenance.
His real name was Farokh Bulsara. He was born in Zanzibar and educated in India. The family had immigrated to England when he was a teenager. He’d gone to Ealing Art College to study art and graphic design. He was also a gifted singer and pianist.
When he joined the band, he immediately gave himself a more rock ’n’ roll name: Freddie Mercury.
He was charming, acted a bit shy and reserved at times and spoke in quite a posh, mannered voice. When he relaxed he had a very sharp sense of humour and spoke at a hundred miles an hour.
Queen turned out to be every bit as good - and demanding - as we'd anticipated. Things had to be one hundred per cent right, otherwise they wouldn't be happy
They’d rightly decided to ditch Smile as their name. I nearly choked on my coffee when I heard their new one: Queen. The world wasn’t as enlightened then as it is today.
We were worried that it would be a real turn-off, especially given the band’s look. Freddie apparently had a girlfriend but we were pretty certain he was gay.
But the name wasn’t up for negotiation. I agreed to offer the Queenies, as we christened them, a loose kind of arrangement. There were times when the studio was ‘dark’, usually at 2am. So we said: ‘We’ll give you this downtime in the studio to see what you can do.’
They turned out to be every bit as good – and demanding – as we’d anticipated. Things had to be one hundred per cent right, otherwise they wouldn’t be happy. They’d spend days and nights working on the harmonies.
Arguments would start about the tiniest little detail. They’d start screaming, shouting and chucking things. Sometimes it would blow over in a few minutes, but at other times they would stew on it, not talking to each other for a day or two. They’d always sort it out, however. It wasn’t personal, it was about the work.
The more adulation Freddie received on stage, the harder he became to work with offstage
Freddie used to say there was no question in his mind that Queen would be a success.
‘There was never a doubt, darling, never,’ he’d say with an imperious wave of his hand.
The title of their first album was simply Queen.
Another suggestion had been Dearie Me, Freddie’s catchphrase, which was quite funny but the band were a hard enough sell as it was.
They spent ages arguing about the album sleeve. The front cover was a single image of Freddie on stage, with two spotlights in the background.
For the back cover the boys put together a collage of snaps of themselves.
Freddie had driven everyone to distraction fretting over whether he looked ‘gorgeous enough’ in them.
By the end of the year they were on the road with Mott the Hoople, but Queen were getting more encores and bigger cheers than the headliners.
They were due to go to Australia for a gig when Brian suddenly developed a really high fever. His arm had swollen up to the size of a football and doctors diagnosed gangrene.
At one point it was touch and go whether he would lose it. Luckily the crisis eased and he was allowed to fly.
However, the gig was a disaster. The local DJ introducing them had clearly taken against them because he introduced them as ‘stuck-up Pommies’. When they got on stage, the crowd turned against them, too.
The boys were mightily relieved when they got on a plane back to London. For some bizarre reason, the British press had been tipped off that Her Majesty the Queen was arriving at Heathrow. So when they saw four knackered musicians emerging through Customs, they weren’t too happy.
On their first tour of America, Brian’s health was deteriorating. Our worst fears were confirmed when doctors announced he had hepatitis.
The rest of the tour had to be cancelled. It was a disaster, professionally and personally. Then, when they came back to London in August, he had to have an emergency operation for an ulcer.
The opening track on A Night At The Opera attacked their management
But on October 11, 1974, EMI put out Killer Queen, from their third album, Sheer Heart Attack.
Within weeks it had given the boys the thing they’d most wanted – a No. 1 single.
As Queen hit the road again, this time as a headline act in their own right, it was clear they were on the verge of major success.
But the more adulation Freddie received on stage, the harder he became to work with offstage.
The tour came to an end at the famous Rainbow Theatre in London. The day before the gig, Freddie was being even more pedantic than usual.
‘Oh, stop being such a tart, Freddie,’ Brian said.
Freddie was outraged. He tossed back his head, waved his arms and stormed off in a strop.
When it was time for the soundcheck, Brian turned the mic on.
‘Freddiepoos, where are you?’ he shouted.
Freddie appeared immediately with a face like thunder. He flounced on stage, gave Brian a vicious look and then just got on with it. That’s what they always did.
In 1975 they went to Japan and found 3,000 fans waiting for them, all chanting the band’s name. It was like Beatlemania. Freddie had finally found the acclaim he’d craved all his life. He felt like a god. Unfortunately, he soon started behaving like one, too.
The more successful they became, the more agitated Queen had grown about money. One of the most heated rows came when John got married. In the run-up to the wedding he announced he wanted me to spring £10,000 (about £90,000 in 2013 values) for him to buy a house. I didn’t react too well.
Then Freddie demanded a grand piano. When I turned him down, he banged his fist on my desk. ‘I have to get a grand piano,’ he said.
Norman J Sheffield: By the time I realised things were badly wrong it was too late
I wasn’t being mean. We knew there was a huge amount of money due to come flooding our way from Queen’s success. I explained that some of it was already coming in but the vast majority of it hadn’t arrived yet.
‘But we’re stars. We’re selling millions of records,’ Freddie said.
‘And I’m still living in the same flat I’ve been in for the past three years.’
The amount of money we’d invested in the band was huge.
We’d advanced them equipment and salaries right at the beginning and had continued to pour money into them for four years.
The fact the band owed Trident close to £200,000 (£1.75 million today) didn’t seem to register with Freddie.
I can remember the conversation.
‘The money will come in December,’ I said. ‘So wait.’
Then came a phrase he would make famous around the world in years to come, although no one would have known where it was born.
Freddie stamped his feet and raised his voice: ‘No, I am not prepared to wait any longer. I want it all. I want it now.’
By late 1975 I was hearing that they were making all sorts of derogatory comments about Trident.
Then I heard a track from A Night At The Opera called Death On Two Legs. The opening two lines summed up what was to come.
‘You suck my blood like a leech/you break the law and you breach’, then, ‘Do you feel like suicide?’ it went on, ‘I think that you should’. It was some kind of nasty hate mail from Freddie to me.
Soon Bohemian Rhapsody roared to the top of the UK charts and stayed there for nine weeks. A bittersweet moment, it came as news was beginning to leak that we had split from Queen.
We should have talked more. And I should have been more attentive to their feelings. By the time I realised things were badly wrong, it was too late.
In March 1977 the company settled with the band for the sale of all of its future rights, the rights to the old albums and the settlement of the management debt.
Freddie’s dream finally came true and he became a very wealthy man. When he died, no one was sadder than me. He may have been a monster to deal with, but he was also a genius.
I did see him once, in the years following our fallout, in 1986, when I took the family to their Knebworth concert. He was friendly, as if the rows of the past were forgotten. It turned out to be their last live concert, which meant I was at their first and last.
Years later, after his death, I went to the Freddie Mercury Memorial Concert at Wembley, where I saw the three remaining members being photographed.
John Deacon pointed at me and said: ‘And if it hadn’t been for that man we wouldn’t be here.’
Brian and Roger looked at me and nodded. That gesture went a long way towards exorcising the ghosts of the past.

News Of The World - 1985

ROCK ON FREDDIE
As thousands of adoring fans flock to buy his first solo album this week, Freddie Mercury tells of the one thing that all his success and all his millions can’t ever buy… Sharon Feinstein reports
Freddie Mercury, the outrageous front-man of superband Queen, is addicted to his phenomenal success, but his fame and fortune have also been the source of his deepest misery.
Freddie loves creating bizarre stage images and thrives on the roar of his audiences and the beat of his music. But when the lights go down at the end of a show, he is left feeling lost and lonely.
"You can have everything in the world and still be the loneliest man, and that is the most bitter type of loneliness," says Freddie. "Success has brought me world idolisation and millions of pounds, but it's prevented me from having the one thing we all need — a loving, on-going relationship.
"It's like the old Hollywood stories where all those wonderful actresses just couldn't carry on a relationship because their careers came first.
"That's the way it is with me. I can't stop the wheel for a while and devote myself to a love affair because all sorts of business problems would pile up. The wheel has to keep turning and that makes it very hard for anyone to live with me and be happy.
"I'm driven by my work and will go on for as long as my system allows me — until I go insane. There's a voice inside me saying, "Slow down Freddie, you're going to burn yourself out”, but I just can't stop.
"You can't revel in the success and then, 13 years down the line, wake up one morning and say, ‘No, I don't want to be a superstar today. I want to go out in the streets on my own, or pour my heart into a relationship.’ It's impossible. Because this is it.”
"It" is being the extrovert lead-singer with probably the most successful rock band ever. In their 13-year reign, Queen have rocked the world in a way that no other group has before or since… not even the Beatles.
Today, Freddie and the boys — Brian May, Roger Taylor and John Deacon — each earn over £1 million a year and need never make another record or undertake another tour. But they have no intention of stopping. Last year, Queen toured Europe and had yet another hit with Thank God It's Christmas, and Freddie released his first solo single, Love Kills — which made the top 10 — and began work on his new single and first solo album. Earlier this year, he and the band were the star attraction for the 250.000 fans at the rock festival in Rio, Brazil.
"It was awe-inspiring and mind-boggling to be up there, with all those people in the palm of your hand," says Freddie. "But the other side of the coin is that, though I was surrounded by masses of people who love me, I must have been the loneliest person there. Can you imagine how temble it is when you've got everything and you're still desperately lonely? That is awful beyond words.
"I don't want people to think, poor old Freddie, because I can deal with it. But I'm so powerful on stage that I seem to have created a monster. When I'm performing, I'm an extrovert, yet inside I'm a completely different man.
Of course, the stagey streak in me, where I love to jump around […]

[…] and be volatile, is real, but people don't realise there's more. They expect me to be the same in my personal life as well. They say, "Come on, Freddie, perform, give us some excitement."
The hunky, dark-haired singer, who takes pride in his rippling muscles and ever-changing appearance, once joked that he'd had more lovers than any Hollywood star.
"But they never last," says 38-year-old Freddie. "I seem to eat people up and destroy them. There must be a destructive element in me because I do try very hard to build up relationships, but somehow I drive people away.
"They always blame the end of the love affair on me because I'm the successful one. Whoever I'm with seems to get into a battle of trying to match up to me, so all the time I'm feeling guilty and over-compensating… Then they end up treading all over me.
"I can't win. Love is Russian roulette for me. No one loves the real me inside, they're all in love with my fame, my stardom.
"I fall in love far too quickly and end up getting hurt all the time. I've got scars all over. But I can't help myself because basically I'm a softie — I have this hard, macho shell which I project on stage but there's a much softer side, too, which melts like butter.
"I try to hold back when I'm attracted to someone but I just can't control love. It runs riot. All my one-night-stands are just me playing my part. What I really like is a lot of loving. And I spoil my lovers terribly. I like to make them happy and I get so much pleasure out of giving them really wonderful, expensive presents."
Freddie has admitted that he is bisexual, but says: "I couldn't fall in love with a man the way I could with a girl". The one love of his life and the only person he really trusts is 31-year-old Mary Austin, a quiet fair-haired woman. Freddie and Mary had a seven-year romance.
"Our love affair ended in tears but a deep bond grew out of it, and that's something nobody can take away from us. It's unreachable,” he says. "All my lovers ask me why they can't replace her, but it's simply impossible.
"I don't feel jealous of her lovers because, of course, she has a life to lead, and so do I. Basically, I try to make sure she's happy with whoever she's with and she tries to do the same for me.
“We look after each other and that's a wonderful form of love. I might have all the problems in the world, but I have Mary and that gets me through."
The seal of Freddie's commitment to Mary is his decision to leave her his millions.
"What better person to leave my fortune to when I go ?" he smiles. "Of course my parents are in my will and so are my cats, but the vast bulk of it will go to Mary.
"If I dropped down dead tomorrow, Mary's the one person I know who could cope with my vast wealth. She works in my organisation and looks after my money side and all my possessions. She's in charge of the chauffeurs, maids, gardeners, accountants and lawyers. All I have to do is throw my carcass around on stage."
Freddie is one of the world's richest rock stars but he never has a […]

[…] penny in his pocket and has no idea of how many millions he owns.
"I love having so much money," he admits, "but I don't believe in counting it. And because I have far more than I need, I give a lot of it away to people I like.
"I try to enjoy life and if there was no money I wouldn't let it stop me having a good time. In the early days, when I hardly had anything I'd save for two weeks and then blow it all in a day so that I could have a blast of fun."
Certainly, money hasn't always been so free for Freddie. Born Freddie Bulsara on September 5, 1946, his father was a government accountant, which meant Freddie spent some of his childhood in Zanzibar and India. After school, he did a graphics course at Ealing College of Art in London (he designed the band's logo, using the four members' birth signs as inspiration). It was in late 1971 that he joined May, Taylor and Deacon and the Queen phenomenon began.
The biggest visible mark of Freddie's success (and millions) must be his magnificent 28-room mansion in London's Kensington, for which he paid over £1/2 million… in cash!
When Freddie bought the house four years ago, he had three of the eight bedrooms knocked into one for himself, and filled the mansion with handmade furniture from Harrods and priceless Japanese carvings and paintings from Toyko. Outside, an army of gardeners carved out a country retreat in the grounds.
But the king of the castle still hasn't moved in. For the first time Freddie explains why: "Every person who makes a lot of money has a dream he wants to carry out, and I achieved that dream with this wonderful house.
“Whenever I watched Hollywood movies set in plush homes with lavish decor, I wanted that for myself and now I've got it. But to me it was much more important to get the damn thing than to actually go and live in it. Maybe the challenge has worn off now. I'm very much like that — once I get something I'm not that keen on it any more. I still love the house but the real enjoyment is that I've achieved it.
"Sometimes, when I'm alone at night, I imagine that when I'm 50 I'll creep into that house as my refuge and then I'll start making it a home. Anyway, as it is, I can only spend 60 days a year in England for tax reasons."
Freddie has spent the last few months in Munich putting the finishing touches to his first solo album, Mr Bad Guy, which he has dedicated to his dead cat, Jerry.
The album, which is out this week, is packed with new material taking […]

[…] Freddie in an exciting new and different direction.
"I've put my heart and soul into this album,” he says. "It's much more beat orientated than Queen's music and it also has some very moving ballads."
In between hard work he also found time to begin a new friendship with a German actress — 42-year-old Barbara Valentin.
"Barbara and I have formed a bond that is stronger than anything I've had with a lover for the last six years," he says. “I can really talk to her and be myself in a way that's very rare."
Among his existing close friends, Freddie counts Rod Stewart, Elton John and Michael Jackson.
“Rod, Elton and I were going to form a band called Hair, Nose and Teeth after the three of us," he laughs. "But it hasn't happened because none of our egos can agree on the order of the words! Naturally I want it to be called Teeth, Nose and Hair.
“I'm very fond of Rod and Elton. They both came to my last birthday party and sang happy birthday when the cake was wheeled in. I shouted out, ‘This is probably the first time the two of you have sung without being paid for it!' and they laughed like mad.
“Michael Jackson and | have grown apart a bit since his massive success with Thriller. He's simply retreated into a world of his own.
“Two years ago we used to have great fun going to clubs together but now he won't come out of his fortress. It's very sad. He's so worried that someone will do him in that he's paranoid about absolutely everything.
“I get worried about that myself but I'll never let it take over my life like that.”
Freddie has said that if he wasn't a rock star with Queen, he'd have liked to have been a ballet dancer.
He once appeared with the Royal Ballet dancing to a selection of Queen hits, and it was at a glittering Royal Ballet party that Freddie met Prince Andrew.
“I was wearing a white scarf and holding a glass of wine when I was introduced to Prince Andrew. But I was so nervous I didn't realise my scarf was dangling in the drink,” Freddie recalls.
"There I was trying to be really cool and suddenly the Prince said, “Freddie, I don't think you really want this getting wet. He squeezed out the scarf and that broke the ice between us.
"I said, 'Thank goodness you've put me at ease. Now I can use the odd bit of dirty language.’ Then we both burst out laughing.
"He really got into the spirit of things and even had a dance. He's really quite hip in those sort of situations.
“I have a lot of respect for royalty. I'm a tremendous patriot."
Yet another unexpected side to the king of Queen. But then there's much more to Freddie Mercury than most of us ever see. Underneath the bizarre clothes and images that have become his trademark, there is the other Freddie. He sums it up simply… "Sometimes, I just long to be perfectly ordinary as well."

Author's Notes: Aaaand here's the next chapter. It's rougher than usual, given what's been hinted at in the previous chapter, but here's to hoping you will enjoy it! There are some surprises tucked into it, hehehe. Apologies if you've read the teaser. Again, the chapter got too long so it will have to be bumped off to the next one. Do let the Muse know what you think, we'd love to hear from you!
Pairing: Brian May x Roger Taylor
Omegaverse Regency AU
Excerpt:
Brian shrugged. “There was nothing of value to be learned from the entire exercise. I’ve known of more enjoyable entertainments than this.”
The stranger grinned. “Well,” he said. “Perhaps you might be interested in another show that is rumored for next week. Very exclusive, no more than a handful will be admitted, and for an exorbitant fee. There is to be a real, unbonded Omega this time, or so they claim. Cleveland Street, my friend. If you know your entertainments, you already know which address. ‘Tis not for the unsullied, however, so I may not see you there, after all; but just in case you make up your mind. Come down to the smoking room, then? We shall hear of some interesting discourse, especially from that pervert Pembroke.”
Brian nodded. “In a while. I shall just be in the wash room.”
It was only when the stranger turned to walk away with a slight limp that all of Brian’s suspicions as to his identity finally coalesced into certainty.
The wavy dark hair and that pale, noble face. The witty turn of phrase. The worldliness.
All this time, he had been conversing with Lord Byron.
Buy the Muse some ko-fi to show her some love (and to make her write faster!) ^_~
