for younghyun: comfy spot
You’re curled up in his arms, your head resting on his chest, feeling the steady rise and fall of his breath beneath you. The warmth of his body wraps around you, and the soft sound of his heartbeat is like a lullaby, soothing you into a perfect stillness. His fingers trace small, playful circles on your back, sending little shivers through your body.
“Are you planning on falling asleep on me again?” Brian’s voice is teasing, light with the usual playful smirk that you can almost hear in his tone. His breath tickles your ear, and you can’t help but grin.
“You’re too comfy,” you mumble, burying your face further into his chest, breathing in the faint scent of his cologne mixed with something that’s just... him. “How am I supposed to resist?”
“Good excuse,” he chuckles, his lips brushing against the top of your head. “But I’m not sure I’m buying it. You just like my warmth too much, don’t you?”
You look up at him, your eyes narrowing in mock seriousness. “Maybe... But you definitely have a good spot right here.” You poke his chest, causing his heart to skip a beat.
Brian laughs softly, shifting his position so you’re both more tangled up in the sheets. “Is this all it takes to get you this close? A little warmth and a comfy spot?”
“Maybe,” you tease, lifting your head slightly so your lips brush against his shirt. “But I’m still not sure. You’ve got to try harder.”
Brian raises an eyebrow, his gaze flickering with mischief. “Oh, I’m up for the challenge.”
He leans down, brushing a soft kiss to your forehead, his lips lingering a moment longer than usual. “Is this harder enough?”
Your breath hitches at the tenderness in his touch, and you bite back a smile. “I think I might need a bit more proof.”
With a grin that tells you exactly how much he loves this back-and-forth, Brian shifts again, his lips now just a whisper away from yours. “How about this, then?”
You roll your eyes dramatically, but there’s no mistaking the soft giggle that escapes you when his lips finally meet yours. You melt into him, the world outside of this little cocoon disappearing as his kisses grow slower, deeper, and more knowing.
When he pulls away, his forehead rests against yours, his smile light and mischievous. “Told you I could do better.”
You smile, not even trying to hide the warmth blooming in your chest. “You’re impossible.”
“And you love it,” he replies, eyes twinkling.

<LISTEN TO THE SONG HERE!>
It was dark, and you were outside in the town square, sitting on a chair as you busked with some strangers.
"Fly me to the moon," you sang, smiling at the boy grinning at you through the crowd, unable to help the charisma that showed while you sang the song.
Throughout the song, Younghyun was sure that he fell for you all over again, his eyes watching you fondly. He had met you through Jae, who had introduced you as 'my sister's best friend'. You were around Sungjin's age, and you absolutely adored their music.
You had also mentioned that Dowoon was your favorite, because he was the youngest and cute as hell. Brian hand't been to happy about that conversation.
You finished the song off beautifully, staring at Brian as you sang in a gorgeous honey-voice.
"I," You smiled at him softly.
"Love," You tilted your head cutely.
"You..." You winked at him with a grin, bowing as the people around started applauding your performance.
"Waaah. Noona, that was great!" Younghyun said, welcoming you back with a hug and kiss to your cheek.
You giggled, scrunching up your face as his lips touched your cheek before he pulled away, your arms wrapping around his torso.
"Thank you."
He smiled at you stupidly, taking your hand and leading you onto one of the carts that were driving around the place, asking the driver to take you back to your hotel.
You leaned against the back of the cart as Brian leaned against the car-railing, looking out at the brightly illuminated city that was full of life and buzzing with activity.
You smiled, leaning up and off of the back of the cart to give him a warm back hug, leaning your cheek against him and sighing contentedly.
"What? You can't be tired already, can you?" He asked playfully, turning around to wrap his arms around your waist, looking down at you lovingly.
You shook your head with a pout, leaning your chin on his chest. “Not at all. I just felt like giving the guy I like a hug."
He snickered, pecking your lips and pulling away with a shit eating grin. "I thought you loved me, noona?"
"Eat shit, you brat—" You huffed angrily at him, turning away with a pout.
“Noona wait, I was kidding!"
•••
You put the key to your hotel in the keyhole, unlocking the door with a giant koala clinging to you, his head nuzzled into your shoulder. You hung up the keys and lightly pushed Younghyun off to hang up your coat. He made sure to remove his coat, too, the turtleneck he was wearing showing just the tips of his fingers.
You had managed to kick off your shoes before Brian grabbed you again, his own shoes somewhere in the corner of the room. You tried to get him off as you started nearing the bed, huffing and puffing with your effort. You turned around suddenly, yelling at him tiredly before squealing as your knees hit the back of the bed, in turn making you loose your footing.
"오모!—" You grunted as you landed on your back, Younghyun hovering over you. He watched you with slowly dilating pupils. You chuckled, leaning up to kiss him slowly, pulling away just as you noticed him trying to deepen the kiss, making him chase after you hastily. He whined when you 'tsked' at him, smirking playfully when you pushed him off and moved further up the bed.
"Not now, Foxy. I'm tired." He pouted at you childishly, nevertheless getting in next to you and wrapping himself around you. He sighed comfortably, pressing his nose into the nook of your neck before softly singing the same song from the busking station to you. You closed your eyes blissfully, smiling as you heard him whisper: 'I, love, you...'
You turned around, kissing his nose and brushing a strand of hair from his face.
"I love you too, my little fox." He smiled at you, kissing you before making you nuzzle your head under his chin, playing with your hair until the two of you fell asleep.

Impulsive
Pairing: Brian Kang x female reader
Genre: fluff / coffee shop au
Warnings: none
Word count: 1373
Tumblr media
“What’s something you’ve never done before?”
Looking up from the toasted panini you were cutting in half, you frowned at your work friend Stacy. “What?”
Your other friend Zeke clapped his hands together and leaned forward. “Oooh! I like this concept. There’s plenty of things Y/N has never done.”
“Wasn’t this a generic question for us all?” you asked, slightly panicked at the way they were eying you now. You attempted a laugh. “What have you never done then?”
“I can’t think of anything,” Stacy responded with a shrug. “I’ve experimented with a lot of things.”
“So have I,” Zeke added on, shooting you a smirk. “Our Y/N here though…”
Looking between the pair, you gaped at them incredulously. “What? What about me?”
“Miss Routine that you are.”
“I’ve never seen you impulsive before. Everything is planned out, carefully thought about—”
“I like structure! And thinking about things before doing it means I save money and—”
“Eats the same panini every time we come here for lunch and grumbles when the table you like is taken. Face the facts, you do everything the same every time.”
You couldn’t refute it, looking down at your chicken cranberry panini, the same as you got last time you were here. You relaxed into the certainty of doing the same thing every time. You didn’t like surprises or change. Whatever you could keep the same in your daily and weekly rituals, you did.
It was out of habit, a necessity to your comfort levels.
Why were they pointing it out to you now?
Stacy cupped her chin in her palm. “Don’t you ever wish to do something out of the ordinary?”
“Not really, no.”
“Nothing major. That would be upsetting to you. But something different. Bold. Step out of the comfortable slipper life and stride through your day in heels or something,” Zeke suggested, animated as he imagined this strange version of yourself. You tried to follow his vision but soon scrunched up your nose.
“What’s the point?”
“You could be missing out on meeting someone new.”
Zeke nodded with a sly grin forming. “Or doing something about that crush of yours on Jason.”
“Ohhhh! Now there’s an idea.”
“No. No way!” you answered with a hasty shake of both your hands, warding off their merciless smiles. “Nuh-uh. I’m fine with it just being a healthy crush.”
“Of four years.”
“On a guy who’s never paid much attention to you.”
“Hey!” You held up the butter knife and pointed at them both, neither fazed at your choice of defence. “I didn’t know today was pick on Y/N day.”
“We’re not picking on you.”
Zeke reached out for your hand. “We want to see you shine. We love you, and we know routine means a lot to you. But you could do with shaking things up now and then.”
You didn’t want to admit his words stood out to you. Maybe you needed to just do something so entirely impulsive that you could hold up as a model for being capable of adapting to something out of the ordinary now and then. Glancing around the café you were eating lunch in, you caught the eye of another person seated across the shop from you. He smiled politely, and you looked at him, analysing.
He had to work in some type of professional position, given his neat green striped shirt and charcoal suit pants, the matching jacket folded over the adjacent chair. His dark hair was pushed away from his face, rich brown eyes now bemusedly catching your prolonged stare again. You blushed and darted your focus to the same-old sandwich you were eating at the same table, and suddenly were up on your feet before you acknowledged the reason.
“Did we push too far?” Stacy worried, glancing at your resolute stance, and over at Zeke who was equally at a loss. “We don’t mean to—”
“Never have I asked a stranger out in a random setting,” you told them before rounding the table and walking over.
Despite the amusement still etched in his handsome expression, you noticed the look of surprise in his eyes. “Hello?”
“Hi,” you said, holding out your hand. “I’m Y/N.”
“Brian,” he responded on instinct, slipping a warm palm against yours. “Can I help you, Y/N?”
“Yes. You see, my friends were just informing me how dull I am, and that I never do anything unexpected.”
Brian looked over at the table behind you but you couldn’t divert your attention from the situation. If you lost your resolve now, you’d stumble over your words and make an embarrassment out of yourself. Heck, you probably already were, but you couldn’t stop for a second to allow the thought to brew. The stranger’s gaze slipped back to yours and he canted his head to the side. “It appears you have their attention piqued.”
“And yours?”
He smiled easily. “It’s not every day a woman approaches me and tells me they’re dull.”
“I did say that didn’t I,” you murmured, feeling your safety barriers descend.
“That said, I am intrigued by your stepping over here. If this is you doing the unexpected, what’s my role in this?”
“You’re hot.”
He had lifted the iced drink on the table to his mouth as you blurted that out and spluttered the mouthful. “You’re really not holding back with your honesty,” he observed, reaching for his napkin to mop it all up.
“This is why I don’t do impulsive things,” you groaned, reaching out to help clean the mess.
“I’m not put off,” he assured you, cracking a grin. “So, I’m hot?”
“Now you’re fishing for more compliments?”
“I’m not opposed to receiving them,” he told you with a flash of his teeth. You laughed and sat in the chair he gestured for you to take. “Level of attraction aside, what does my appearance mean?”
“I told them I’ve never tried to pick up someone randomly before.”
“That’s evident.”
You cringed. “So, on a scale of one to ten, how badly am I doing?”
“A solid six. I’ve had worse.”
You scrunched your nose up, looking at him again. “Worse than some lady telling you’re hot and making you choke on your drink?”
“It’s a memorable meeting, Y/N.”
“I can’t tell if memorable is a good thing or not.” Brian checked his watch after it beeped and then looked back at you, crestfallen. You sighed. “Time’s already up?”
“I have to get to a meeting in twenty minutes,” he confirmed, reaching for his jacket.
You stood on shaky legs, unsure if you were mortified or not. Despite doing everything awkwardly, he wasn’t shooting you pitying smiles, and you didn’t wish for the ground to open and swallow you whole. That had to mean something, right?
“Well, thank you for humouring me.”
“Can I humour you some more?” he wondered, pulling out his phone and holding it out. You glanced at it and then at him, watching his lips curling into another smile. “It was the hot compliment that hooked me.”
“Of course, it was,” you replied with a laugh as you put in your number. Brian tapped out something, and you vaguely heard your phone chime over at the other table.
“I’ll text you to see where we can take this impulsive meeting?” Brian asked, and you nodded, farewelling him dazedly before walking back to your friends and taking a seat.
“Holy shit.”
“I cannot believe you just approached him and told him he was hot!” Zeke exclaimed and you buried your face in your hands and let out another groan.
“Never am I doing that again,” you admitted, fishing out your phone as it chimed again.
You opened the message from the unknown number on your screen, sitting up as you read it.
Hey, this is Brian.
I think you’re hot too. Text me a time to see if we can handle this heat together.
“Oh my God,” you breathed with a chuckle, fingers tapping out a reply. That was incredibly lame.
It wasn’t my best work. But I think you did well with doing something impulsive, Y/N.
Sitting back in your chair, you smiled. Brian was right. It hadn’t been all that bad after all.

SIRENA: K-6 Students Perform at UPIS Variety Show 2024
UP Integrated School (UPIS) K-2 and 3-6 students exhibited their talents at the Variety Show last May 22 at the UPIS 7-12 Gymnasium.
Tumblr media
A total of eight performers from Grades 3-6 performed in the event. Each one was given three to five minutes to show their talents to the audience. The performances were evaluated by the judges Mr. Joseph Tablizo from the Social Studies Department, Ms. Alexia Metrio from the Practical Arts Department, and Asst. Prof. Diana Caluag, our Assistant Principal for Academic Programs.
The competitors from Grades 3-6 showed a variety of song and dance numbers. Anica Gail Lopez from 4-Labanos dedicated her performance to God and sang the Christian worship song "Wala Kang Katulad''; Marco Bonganay from 4-Patani sang "My Favorite Girl" by Justin Bieber; and the Whitebored Band, consisting of Ulan Rico on drums, Lucas Dionisio on piano and vocals, and Caleb Kwe on guitar and vocals, performed "Raining in Manila" by Lola Amour and "Believer" by Imagine Dragons. Meanwhile, a student from 5-Arayat, Jared Alexander Lagrimas sang “Miss Miss” by Rob Deniel.
Lastly, Mikkel Caia Odulio from 6-Amethyst sang "Yellow" by Coldplay; The Shooting Stars duo, consisting of Vivienne Madamba and Sue Anne Giannan from 6-Amethyst, sang the English version of the Japanese song "Goodbye Sengen" by Wonderlands x Showtime (originally by Chinozo); Allyssa Sarenas from 6-Sapphire sang the English version of the Korean song "Only" by Lee Hi; and lastly, drawing the Grades 3-6 performances to a close, was Jam Brian Edmundo Sumayo from 6-Sapphire played the guitar while singing "Say You Won’t Let Go" by James Arthur.
In addition to the eight main performers, there were also five special performances by students from Kinder to Grade 2. A group called Power 5 consisting of Grade 2 students Cris Paculanang II, Aya Maria Villamayor, Zion Zingapan, Alexard Espino, and Aya Martheen Abaigar performed a dance number on the song “Kinang Pilipinas" by Shine Philippines. 2035 Band, a group of Grade 1 students— Francesslyn de Leon as the drummer, Macy Parlade as the vocalist, Luke Zaide Santos as the guitarist, and Mary Elisabeth Martinez as the pianist—performed “UP Naming Mahal and “Dynamite” by BTS. Francesslyn de Leon from 1-Pipit played the keyboard while singing “Sana'' by Jolina Magdangal, Zandro Edwin Patnongon from 1-Kalaw sang “What a Wonderful World” by Louis Amstrong, and lastly, Danielle Sheyla Ulaso from K-Liryo sang “Speechless” by Naomi Scott.
Tumblr media
Following the last special performance, the winners were announced. There was a Championship Award and Crowd Favorite Awards for the 3-6 performers and the K-2 performers. Whitebored Band bagged both the Champion award and the Crowd Favorite Award for Grades 3-6. The K-2 Crowd Favorite award was given to 2035 Band.
Tumblr media
The members of Whitebored Band expressed their happiness and sense of victory for winning. They thanked their parents for supporting them all throughout their rehearsals and for paying the reservation for the studio where they practiced. They also thanked their teachers and their advisers for supporting them and encouraging them to participate. They also said they miss Jsam Samudio, the band's supposed vocalist, who wasn’t able to attend due to illness.
“We really miss him and we wish he were here with us to perform on stage," said Lucas.
This year’s Variety Show proved to be a success, overcoming numerous scheduling challenges posed by the extreme heat and suspension of face-to-face classes. According to Pamunuan ng Kamag-Aral (PKA) 3-6 President, Ethan Lakip, the biggest challenge in organizing this event was the unforeseen changes to the UPIS Week schedule due to the recent high heat index. This caused the original date of the Variety Show on April 17 to be moved to May 10, and eventually to May 22. He also added that due to the suspensions announced by UPIS, the original 4-day UPIS Week was streamlined to one day, forcing them to reschedule some events and cancel other events such as TALAYTAY: K-2 Palarong Pambata, 3-12 Sports Festival, TALISIK: 7-12 Trivia Competition, and ATLANT-ISKO: Club Wars.
Despite these hindrances, the Variety Show was able to push through and the students from Kinder to Grade 6 were able to showcase their talents.

Loki Season 2 reviews are in! While critics still praise the Tom Hiddleston series… the reviews are not quite as good as Season 1
With just two days left before Season 2 of Loki debuts on Disney Plus, the first wave of reviews have come in… and they're not quite as positive as Season 1.
Loki - which continues the adventures of Tom Hiddleston's God of Mischeif title character - debuted in June 2021 with a 92% score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes.
While most of the Marvel Cinematic Universe's first TV shows on Disney Plus were considered one-offs, Loki was the first to get a second season, and later touted by Marvel President Kevin Feige as the 'most-watched' Marvel Studios series.
Now the reviews are in for Season 2 ahead of its October 5 debut on Disney Plus, with a slightly-lower 82% score from the first 50 reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.
Tumblr media
The involvement of Jonathan Majors, who returns as Kang, amid his arrest for domestic violence, was also troubling for many critics.
Rolling Stone's Alan Sepinwall called Majors, 'the big problem' with the season in his negative review published Tuesday.
'It’s not his performance, which remains a weirdly compelling live-wire act, full of odd, halting line deliveries and twitchy physicality. Instead, it’s the ugly real-world circumstances surrounding him,' Sepinwall began.
'After the season was filmed, Majors was arrested and charged with domestic violence against his romantic partner, which led to Rolling Stone uncovering a pattern of alleged abusive behavior going back a decade. Majors was set to play the big bad for the next few phases of the MCU. Instead, it’s impossible to imagine him ever appearing in a Marvel project after this one,' he added.
ComicBook.com's Nicole Drum gave the season a positive review (3.5 stars out of 5), but even she admitted something felt off, compared to Season 1.
'Season 2 definitely doesn’t suffer from the pitfalls that would make people continue to question if superhero fatigue is real or not, but through characterizations, pacing, and too much self-awareness, it definitely feels like a very different show,' she said.
She said the first episode debuting on Thursday, 'is hectic, throwing new concepts, characters, and threats into the story with little explanation and little reason for fans to be invested.'
'When the premiere does try to stop and ruminate on what Loki just experienced in the Season 1 finale, the end result becomes rushed and confusing,' she continued, adding the, 'overstuffed and slightly frenetic chaos' sets the tone in the four episodes (of the six-episode season) that were screened for critics.
Mashable's Belen Edwards added in her negative review that Season 2 delved into the first season's worst aspects.
'Instead of digging into what makes Loki fun, the show's second season doubles down on Season 1's worst tendencies… It's a drag when it should be thrilling, an exposition-filled trudge when it should be an exciting romp,' she said.
USA Today's Brian Truitt gave Loki Season 2 a positive review (3 stars out of 4), stating, 'Sometimes you feel like you need a theoretical physics degree to understand it all. Strong character work makes up for some of that, as does a knowing sense of humor.'
He added the new season, 'couldn't come sooner, as the Marvel Cinematic Universe films are starting to feel a little repetitive and a plethora of disparate TV series haven't helped.'
IGN Movies' Jarrod Jones gave the season a negative review (5 of 10), adding, 'Tom Hiddleston’s Loki is back for more multiversal shenanigans, but the absence of director Kate Herron seems to have sapped the wily fun from his Disney+ spinoff.'
Like many reviews - even the negative ones - Jones praised the addition of newly-minted Oscar winner Ke Huy Quan.
Quan plays a Time Variance Authority (TVA) 'basement-dwelling repair guy' named Ouroboros, 'whose jovial presence gives Season 2 a much-needed boost from its overall mopey tone.'
ComicBookMovie's Josh Wilding called Season 2, 'a masterclass in imaginative storytelling' adding the show represents, 'the MCU at its best and a riveting new chapter in the Multiverse Saga that’s mind-bending, monumental, and utterly marvellous,' adding, 'and as a bonus, Ke Huy Quan is a scene-stealing delight!'
Collider's Therese Lacson added, 'Season 1 was well-loved, and with a fan-favorite character like Hiddleston’s God of Mischief at the helm, Season 2 proves that the series not only hasn’t lost its touch but remains one of the stronger pillars of the MCU as a whole.'
However The Daily Beast's Nick Schager said in his negative review, 'Its convolutions overwhelming its charming personalities and freewheeling spirit of paradox-laden adventure, it’s another indication that the once-mighty franchise has lost its direction.'
London Evening Standard's Vicky Jessop added, 'It's all a bit wearying' when describing the entirety of the season that was screened for critics.
Indenpendent UK's Louis Chilton added, 'More than anything, Loki has started to resemble what it truly is: an ill-advised spinoff in the old tradition. A too-bright spotlight for a side character who was never best suited to lead. A dinner comprising only hors d’oeuvres.'
'Loki season two is a jaw-dropping magical experience that will ultimately leave you clamoring for more, with high stakes twists and turns that’ll keep you on the edge of your seat!' added ComicBookMovie's Rohan Patel.

Christmas In July: A Christmas To Remember.
Tumblr media
Summary: Brian had planned everything for Christmas Day down to the tee. You’re heavily pregnant and due NYE, but the baby had other plans and throws his day into turmoil.
Pairing: Brian Kang x female reader
Genre: Fluff / Christmas Cheer
Warnings: none.
A/N: Please join us once again with our Christmas In July Collab / Tradition. Here is the first story and you can find the second story here. On @prettywordsyouleft blog. I hope you enjoy.
Word count: 1429
It was a strange sensation, knowing you had many things planned and yet were unable to conduct them in the ways you used to. You begrudgingly turned over Christmas Day plans to your husband, knowing that you were in no shape to do them yourself.
You enjoyed the festivities every year as they rolled around, although this time would be the last one as a duo. Rubbing your hand gently over your stomach you smiled, excitement filling your body as within the week you would be meeting your little bundle in person.
“Hey, don’t go making little Kang prefer their Mum over their Dad.”
Brian teased, stepping into the room with a smile on his face as he reached out to rub your stomach in a circular motion. He crouched down quickly, his ear on your stomach as he began to talk.
“Now don’t forget your Daddy loves you just as much as Mummy. I cannot wait to meet you, just stay in there until the new year.”
You chuckled, noting the slight panic in his voice as your stomach moved towards his head.
“I think Little Kang has a mind of their own, don’t you?”
“I think you’re correct Mrs. Kang. I just want tomorrow to go without a hitch and then they have free rein on when to come into the world.”
Brian stood up, his arms now wrapping around you tenderly as he left a kiss on your cheek.
“Tomorrow will be fine.”
“It better be. I’ve planned everything in your steed, and I want you to enjoy the day.”
You reassured him, gently patting his shoulder as you turned to walk back towards your bedroom. Brian followed behind you, quickly placing his arm around you to help keep your balance. The struggled of full-term pregnancy were starting to come into play.
“I’m fine. Let’s rest and tomorrow will come sooner. I’m excited to see what you have planned for everyone.” Swatting his hand away playfully as you sat down on your bed. A sigh left you as your body began to relax. You opened your mouth to ask for help, yet Brian was already there, undoing your shoes. You smiled gratefully at his assistance.
“What would I do without you?”
“Go to bed with your shoes on for one?” He scrunched his nose up playfully as he removed your shoes and placed them at the end of the bed.
“Let’s sleep, and finally we can find out what Santa has in store for us.”
 ---
The smell of cookies stirred you from your sleep, your stomach growling eagerly at the scent.
“Okay little Kang, up we get.”
It took you a little longer than it used to, but within twenty minutes you were up and out of the bed, dressing gown on and making your way into the kitchen. The closer you came to the hub of your home, the more you could sense the different aromas filling the space. Your stomach grumbled louder this time, wanting in on the delicious food.
“Okay, let’s see what Daddy has been up to.” You patted your stomach softly in agreeance, only to be met with a sharp pain that almost had you to the ground. The pain was gone as soon as it had arrived. Shaking it off you headed towards your husband who was busy preparing a feast.
“What do we have here?”
Brian jumped back, startled by your presence. “You were supposed to be sleeping! Merry Christmas Baby.”
He walked towards you, his eyes barely noticeable as he smiled broadly, enveloping you in a hug as he kissed the top of your head.
“It was the cookies, wasn’t it?” he mumbled into your ear, a chuckle leaving his mouth soon after.
“How did you know?”
Brian shrugged before ushering you into the living room, the tree overtaken with presents underneath.
“Santa has been busy.” You gasped as your eyes washed over the room. You were sure it wasn’t like this when you had both gone to bed last night. “Did you even get any sleep?”
“Enough. Sit. And open this.”
Brian helped you sit down on the couch as he handed you a present you hadn’t seen.
“I wanted to get through some of the gifts before the others arrive. Everything is cooking and well under way. I followed your recipes, don’t worry.”
“I’m not worried. I trust you.”
“That’s not what you said a couple of weeks ago.” Brian teased as he nudged your side playfully.
“Call it baby brain. Everything is perfect.”
Brian smiled that lopsided grin of his that always made your heart flutter, before nudging you a second time, to open the present on your lap.
You gave in and continued to pull the wrapping paper off. A gasp left your lips at what was inside.
“Do you like it?”
“Of course! I love it!”
Tears welled in your eyes at the gift in your hands as Brian let out a sigh of relief, neither of you knew he was holding.
“I’m glad.”
“Thank you.” You turned to face him, the tears now escaping down your cheeks as you kissed his lips tenderly, not letting go of the photo frame.
It was a simple wooden frame, but what had made you so emotional was the engraving on the edge “First Family Photo”.
The morning went by in a blur, Brian continued to prepare the meal for the two of you and your guests, and your stomach pains came and went regularly. You didn’t want to ruin all of the hard work he had put into Christmas day, so you didn’t utter a word.
“So Jae and Becky are on their way and will be here within twenty minutes. Do you think I’ve done enough?”
Brian asked you, drying his hands off with the tea towel before turning around.
But you weren’t there.
“Babe, where are you?” He was sure you were there only a moment ago.
He left the kitchen to find you hunched over the back of the couch, rushing to your side immediately at your discomfort.
“What is it? Is it the baby?”
Panic had started to take hold.
You nodded your head aggressively, still hunched over the back of the couch as you breathed through what you realized now was a contraction.
“My waters broke,” you breathed through another contraction “And I don’t think he’s going to wait any longer.”
“Okay. Okay, let’s not panic. Just remember your breathing Babe,” he placed his hand on your lower back, rubbing it soothingly and he continued to breathe with you “hee-hoo, hee-hoo.”
You knew Brian was only trying to help, but at this very moment you could kill him.
“Brian Kang, if you so much as breathe that way one more time, by god you won’t be around to enjoy another Christmas.”
He stilled instantly.
“I’m sorry, please just get me to the hospital. Now.”
“Yep, okay. Hospital. Got it.”
Brian nodded, instantly going into the hospital plan you had both agreed upon. Grabbing your bag and then guiding you out of the house into the car, you made your way to the hospital to meet your son.
A few hours later and you had all but forgotten the pain and panic of the labor as you both looked towards your son. He was so tiny in your arms, his hat covering his face almost completely as he slept soundly wrapped up in a blanket.
“He’s perfect.” You gushed, your fingertip gently running along his cheek.
“And you’re amazing.”
Brian kissed your lips tenderly, all the amazement and wonder seeping through to you in that very touch.
“I’m sorry your Christmas Day didn’t turn out how you had planned.”
“Don’t apologize. This is much better than I could have imagined Y/N. our son is here.”
“Mm,” you hummed before continuing “But what about all the food you cooked? It’s all gone to waste!”
“Shh. There’s no need to worry.”
Brian soothed you, squeezing onto the bed alongside you as he pulled out his phone and made a video call. Within a minute, familiar faces greeted you.
“Congratulations!” “Merry Christmas!” “Let me see him!”
All echoed through the hospital room as Jae, Becky and Wonpil greeted you from the screen. Jae’s through a mouthful of roast turkey. Becky nudged him, making him choke slightly as he spoke with a mouth full of food.
“At least it’s not going to waste. You really have thought of everything!”
“Well I wanted to make it a Christmas to remember, and now it most definitely is.”

Take It Like A Good Girl~ Young K/Brian Kang
Tumblr media
WARNINGS: Smut, HardDom!YoungK, Sub!Reader, Daddy Kink, Overstimulation, Unprotected Sex (wrap it up), Some Dirty Talk, Choking, Some Praising, Multiple Orgasms, Toys, Handcuffs  (I’m probably forgetting something)
A/N: LoRdY that writers block was fucking intense. An Anon requested this and I feel bad for how long it took me to write this,(I blame my having to move) nonetheless, I will be posting my last request sometime tomorrow! SO requests are opened again! I hope you guys enjoy this! I may rewrite this in the future but we will cross that bridge when we get to it!
The sound of handcuffs clicking rings through my ears, I keep my gaze on Brian and his dark aura, he moves away from me after he restrains me and walks over to our drawers.
My body shifted to get more comfortable, I bit my lip and watched as he opened the drawers and pulled a vibrator out, I knew I was in for it then.
”You’ve been so fucking bratty today. First, I caught you touching yourself, and I tried to be nice and give you what you wanted without punishing you because I knew how needy you were,” he begins, walking over to me and dragging the vibrator across my stomach.
”And then you try to flip me over and dominate me, perhaps I need to remind you of your place.”
I quiver and look up to him with pleading eyes, ”I’m sorry, Daddy! I promise I won't be bratty anymore!” I try to convince him, but I know it won't help.
”Oh, I know you won't be bratty...after I'm through with you.”
The look in his eyes was lustful, , I crumbled under his gaze and whimpered. ”Daddy, I'm sorry! I just wanted to cum so fucking much, I need you so bad,” I try pleading to him as his body hovered over my naked one. He pushed my legs apart and put his knees in between them so I couldn't press then together
”God, look at that pretty pussy, and it's all mine.”
I catch my breath in my throat as his hand ghosted over it ”If you want to cum so fucking much,” he moves the vibrator to my clit and turns it on ”Then you’ll get to cum so fucking much.”
I gasp and widen my eyes in the realization that he's not going to edge me all night and never let me cum, he's going to overstimulate me. He smirks at me and rubs the vibrating toy into my clit, I moan and close my eyes, my back arching from the pleasure.
I tug on the handcuffs and curl my toes as the vibrations pulsate throughout my body ”Holy shi-Daddy!” I cried out. I was already so worked up from touching myself prior to this, so it wasn't taking much to bring me to the edge.
Brian chuckles at the state I'm in, leaning down and ghosting over my lips ”You gonna cum, doll?” he questions me with a smirk, I nod my head furiously.
I can't speak, the only thing leaving my mouth are the lewd noises caused by the orgasm I was on the brink of. Without any more of a warning, the ecstasy hits me like a truck, my moans are loud, and I can’t help but twitch. My legs clench but not all the way due to his knees being in the way
”Don’t.”
My legs halt their actions.
”Take it like a good girl,” he says, his voice deep with lust.
I bite my lip and try my best to ride it out, he turns the toy to the next setting that has a more powerful vibration and I choke.
”F-fuck!”
He grins devilishly as he rubs the toy against my clit more, my body trembles and I pull on the handcuffs crying out from the overwhelming pleasure. He moves down my body and begins placing kisses on my hips, keeping his eyes locked on my face, as I reach my second high of the night.
The vibrator leaves my clit and I'm able to breathe...for 2 seconds. He plunges the vibrator deep into my pussy and attaches his lips to my clit, I practically scream at the feeling and buck my hips in which he then held them down with his other hand.
”I’m so s-sensitive, shit.”
He forces two more orgasms out of me, I'm begging for mercy and shaking from the overstimulation, he finally turns the vibrator off, I let out a breath of relief and wait for him to uncuff me.
”You think we're done?” he laughs, caressing my cheek before undoing his pants.
”That’s really cute. We’re not done unless I say we are.”
I feel myself shrink and watch him line himself up to my entrance, he pushes into me until he bottoms out then begins pound into me. I cry out and squeeze my eyes shut as he grips my hips tightly and a growl followed by ”Look at me while I fuck you.”
I dig crescent moons into the palms of my hands, biting my lip and crying out ”Daddy, please! I'm sorry f-for being a b-brat!” He wraps his hand around my throat and squeezes the sides of my neck, I gasp, and tears start falling from my eyes, he leans in close to my face.
”You’re sorry?”
I desperately nod ”Yes, Daddy! I promise I won't be a brat anymore!”
His thrusts are deep and rough, he continuously hits my g spot and his free hand starts rubbing my extremely sensitive clit ”Be a good girl for Daddy, take one more orgasm, Baby,” he softly groans as he picks up his pace.
Lewd moans leave my mouth as I feel myself about to explode, my vision goes white and my body twitches against his.
”Good girl,” he breathed out
”You look so fucking beautiful when you orgasm, f-fuck.”
His grunts turn into deep moans, he buries his head in my neck and releases his load inside of me, leaving kisses on my shoulder and neck as he came down from his high. He pulls out of me and raises his head, kissing my lips before unlocking the handcuffs and putting them to the side.
”Come here,” he says after laying down then opens his arms, I practically fall against his chest and his arms wrap around me. He was such a hard dom, merciless when it came to almost all punishments, but was extremely sweet and soft when it came to aftercare, which is what I needed.
”Was I too rough?”
Still in subspace, I shook my head and let out a small no, cuddling into chest some more ”Do you want to take a bath, Baby?” he asked in a soft voice. I immediately sat up with a smile ”Yes, Daddy!” A chuckle leaves his mouth and he picks me up
”Let’s go, Baby.”

Starving Artists
Master List
Warnings: Mentions of suicidal ideation, alludes to sex, and swearing.
New York was always loud, always living up to its nickname. The city that never sleeps, Sungjin thinks as he meanders through the alley leading to his destination, but it’s always so quiet over here. The area he’s in is nothing like where he lives, here the gutters are littered with broken bottles and discarded newspapers flutter across the sidewalk like tumbleweeds. Here the buildings are brick and wooden, fire escapes creaky and used more as a place to smoke than to run, so unlike the pristine glass buildings Sungjin inhabits with his roommates. However, this part of Queens holds something Manhattan could never, here in the dark bars and the dimly lit doorways, are more musicians than Sungjin can count, and in the building in front of him, lives the best bassists he’s ever heard.
Brian and his girlfriend Y/n live the way artists in movies do, the way Sungjin thinks they were destined to, in a studio apartment, in some dingy brick building, in nowhere Queens. Y/n is a barista by night and a painter by day, Brian plays in Sungjin’s band most nights and teaches people about music at some half-dead music shop. Sungjin liked to dream these two were living the perfect life for them, but he knew the reality, he knew their vices, the way they would smoke when they were stressed, the way she would crank the music up too loud in her headphones when she was focused on something, he knew how Brian liked to stand on the edges of tall buildings, just to feel the rush of almost dying. Sungjin knew they weren’t in great places, he knew they struggled more often than not, even though they would never ask him, or any of their friends, for help, that’s why he was here today, he had something, something for them that would change all of their lives.
Their apartment was on the ninth floor, all the way at the top, and the only sound that echoed through the concrete and brick building was that of Sungjin’s sneakers as he jogged up each flight of stairs. Stopping in front of their door, Sungjin caught his breath, winded from the climb up.
“Yo, Y/n, Brian, you guys awake?” He calls, rapping on the metal door. It quiet for a moment before he hears you answer him, beckoning him in. As normal, the spare key is hidden behind a loose brick and Sungjin lets himself into the flat. The door rolls closed behind him and he kicks off his shoes, setting the key down on the kitchen counter. He’s not surprised to find you in bed (which is actually just a mattress and box spring on the floor) flat on your back, probably just having woken up. “Hey, where’s Brian.”
“You know he hates being called that.” You laugh, tucking one of your arms under your head to see him better. “And you just missed him, he went up on the roof.” Sungjin huffs, rolling his eyes.
“Yeah okay. When you see him again, tell him we’re having a band meeting at Lucky’s. You work tonight, right?” You nod in confirmation and Sungjin copies you. “Okay great, be there at 3, it's important.” He rolls his eyes at your salute but turns to leave anyway. “Bye Brian, see you at three.”
“Bye Sungjin.” The voice from under the blanket calls.
Once the door rolls closed you throw the blanket off your boyfriend, whose face is now tinted pink and pressed into your bare thigh.
“Why are you like this?” You whine, and he responds by pressing a kiss to your inner thigh, “You absolute exhibitionist.” His laugh shakes through your body and he finally looks up at you, a cheeky grin on his lips.
“In my defense, I was kinda in the middle of something when he knocked.” Brian reminds you, nipping at your leg, making you let out a squeak.
“The logical response is usually stopping, or telling him to fuck off.” You counter, and Brian only shakes his head, crawling up your body, only stopping when his hands are next to your head, his head hovering only inches above yours.
“Admit that you liked it.” His voice is slightly deeper now, and he can’t stop his eyes from roaming from yours, down to your lips.
“You liked it more.” You answer and he can’t help the grin that spreads across his face.
“Maybe, maybe I want Sungjin to catch us.” He drops his head down, pressing kisses into your neck, “Maybe I like the way you react.” His leg hitches up further between yours and you bite back a moan. “Maybe I think, you want to get caught too.” You don’t actually have functioning words, too lost in the way his lips feel against your neck, so instead, you only groan. “What time is it?” You shift your head sideways, picking up the phone that lay discarded on the bed, he picks his head up from your neck to read the time displayed:
11:21 am
“We’ve got time.” You shrug, dropping the phone and pulling Brian’s lips to yours.
~~
You walk into the cafe with exactly 2 minutes to spare and are not even slightly shocked to find that Jae is running late. Sungjin gives you a smirk as you take your seats at the table in the back corner.
“Good morning.” Dowoon greets happily, “I bought you coffee and a muffin.” He slides the two over to you, with a grin on his face. “Did you get me anything?” Brian asks and Dowoon makes a face at his elder, shaking his head.
“We can share, besides, I get plenty of muffins during my shift anyway.” You move the treats in between you and your boyfriend, “Thank you Dowoonie.”
“So, Y/n,” Sungjin begins, and you prepare for the worst, “What’s Brian’s head game like?” Wonpil chokes on his drink, and you hear Jae from behind you say:
“Bet its weak.”
“We aren’t talking about yours.” Brian retorts immediately.
“Hey, I happen to be fantastic at giving head.” Jae defends, dropping his bag next to you and taking the empty seat on your other side.
“Boys or girls?” Dowoon asks, cheeky grin on his face.
“Yes.” Jae answers, "Care to test my skills?" He throws the younger boy a wink, and Dowoon stares at him silently for a moment before fake vomiting onto the table, and the others erupt in laughter.
“I don’t know Jae, it was pretty bad in high school.” You comment, sipping your drink innocently. Jae gasps dramatically.
“I was just an inexperienced young lad.” He replies, hand over his chest in mock hurt.
“What ass are you eating to be getting any better?” Wonpil asks, making Sungjin choke on his coffee in shock.
“Hey, I ain’t eating no ass.” Jae defends, “Unless it’s Brian’s.” His flirty remark is met with Brian pretending to vomit onto the floor.
“I’m sorry, can we go back to the part about Jae and Y/n in high school?” Dowoon asked, “Cause I was in high school with you, I have no recollection of you two being together, together, you always insisted you were just friends.”
“Oh cause we weren’t” You shrug, “We had sex, like once, maybe twice, then he got super shy and didn't speak to me for almost a year.”
“You were like, the hottest girl in school, and I was this dorky nobody. I panicked.” Jae pipes in, “ You literally wore leather to school on the regular, and I once wore the same outfit for a week and no one noticed.”
“You’re gross.” Brian comments. “Also unrelated note, do you still have any of those leather outfits, babe?” “I would but they’re probably at my parents if they kept anything after I left.”
“It would be a shame to get rid of those outfits, like the one pair of leather pants with the studs up the sides.” Jae recalls, “Those were sexy.”
“Thanks, Jae, I’m glad you thought I was sexy in high school.”
“Hey, that’s not to say you aren’t sexy now.”
“Oh my god, Y/n, you’re literally the Eagle 2 meme.” Wonpil cuts through Jae’s attempts at redeeming himself. You can’t help but laugh at your younger friend’s words, realizing he’s right.
“What’s the Eagle 2 meme?” Sungjin asks.
“It's from either Parks and Rec, or the Office,” You begin "and it goes something like this.” You sit up a little straighter. “From now on we will be using code names, you may address me as Eagle 1, Jae will be ‘been there done that’, Brian is ‘currently doing that’ Wonpil is ‘It happened once in a dream’, Dowoon is ‘If I had to pick a makinae’ and Sungjin is,” You pause for dramatic effect, “Eagle 2.”
“Oh thank god.” Sungjin’s sigh of relief is met with a chorus of laughter.
“So are we done talking about my girlfriend’s sex life?” Brian asks, tapping his fingers on the table, a nervous habit he picked up from you, “Cause we both have work tonight, and I gotta be there by 5.” You can tell he’s upset by the conversation, but all you can do at the moment is lace your fingers into his, and offer him a smile.
“Oh right,” Sungjin snaps his fingers, pulling a flyer from his back pocket. “There’s a battle of the bands in Central Park next month, the winner gets an exclusive deal with JYP Entertainment.”
“You want to sign up?” Jae asks, reading over the flyer intently, with you peeking over his shoulder.
“Winner claims an exclusive spot on JYPE artist roster and a confirmed year-long contract. Further prizes pending. Runner ups get 50,000 dollars. Two runners up prizes available” You read aloud, “That's fucking amazing, even if you don’t win, you’d still get some mad money.”
“That’s only if we get a runner up spot.” Wonpil reminds you.
“Pillie, you guys are so good, I would be shocked if they didn’t refer you directly to JYP himself after your audition.”
“When’s the audition?” Brian asks, accepting the flyer from Jae. “Its next week, but we don’t have any experience playing live unless you count those little sessions at work.”
“You guys could probably play here, we sometimes have bands come in to perform on Fridays, and I don’t think we have anyone set for this week.” You offered.
“Well, what does everyone think?” Sungjin prompts, looking to the younger band members. Dowoon and Wonpil exchange a glance before they both nod.
“It sounds like a good plan boss,” Dowoon chimes in, flashing everyone a thumbs up.
“Great.” Sungjin nods, turning back to you. “Could you ask your boss?” You salute him for the second time today, before leaning forward to talk to someone seated at another table.
“Miyoko, do we have anyone coming in to perform Friday?” Your boss glances up from her phone, thinking for a second before shaking her head. “Cool, can my boyfriend’s band play?”
“Sure, what’s the name?” All eyes fall to Sungjin, as the realization that none of you had ever figured that part out hits.
“Day6.”
~~
It isn’t long before the band members have to leave, Wonpil and Dowoon having classes to attend, Jae being forced to attend his dad’s company get together, and Sungjin scurrying back to his apartment to get everything prepped for the performance. Soon enough, it's time for Brian to leave as well.
“Do you want me to pick you up tonight?” He asks, slinging his bag over his shoulder.
“No its okay, I’m not getting off till 1 am anyway, you should go home and sleep.” You smiled up at him, pulling him down to your height for a kiss.
“Okay, see you when you get home.” He kisses you once more before he’s walking away, stuffing his headphones in his ears. You know something’s wrong, and you know it's going to bother you all day.
And you’re right, most of the day, well night, is filled with you wondering if Brian was okay. When 1 am rolls around, you're tired, but you walk as quick as your legs will take you to get home. No one bothers you, not even the homeless men or junkies on the streets, most of them know you anyway.
“Good morning, Y/n.” A familiar voice greets you as you turn down the alley to your building’s back door.
“Good morning, Bear.” You greet the looming man.
“You heading home?” He asks, not moving from his spot as you make your way further into the darkness.
“Yes sir,”
“Anyone bother you?”
“Not tonight, sweetie.” You yank open the door, and he lifts his hand in goodbye.
“Sleep well, little one.”
“Find somewhere warm, Bear, I hear we’re due for a storm soon.”
“Don’t worry about me.” You wave to him once more, before entering the dark building. You’re not shocked that the elevator isn’t working, but still grumble your way all the way up the stairs. Your apartment is quiet, so you creep in, taking care to not let the door creak as it slides closed. Your shoes are discarded at the door and you tiptoe through the apartment, trying to create as little noise as possible, although you know your boyfriend could sleep through a hurricane if he so chose. However, to your shock, the apartment appears to be empty, no lights are on and your bed is free of a Brian sized lump.
“Babe?” You call, dropping your bag on the floor by the bed. Flicking on the lamp on the bedside table, you wonder how long your boyfriend hasn’t been home, though your suspicions as to his whereabouts are confirmed when you glance to the side to find the window to the fire escape open.
Brian liked to be on the roof, even though he wasn’t supposed to be up there, something about always being able to hear music on the wind. He was sitting on a small ledge, an old garden box someone was growing weed in, with his back to you, his hair whipping in the wind.
“Babe?” Your voice doesn’t seem to reach him, and as much as you hate it, you join him fully on the roof. “Baby?” He starts, turning to you abruptly.
“What are you doing up here without a jacket?” He asks, opening his jacket and motioning for you to sit on his lap. You oblige, perching on one of his legs and wrapping your arms loosely around his shoulders. His arms, and a good portion of his jacket, wrap around your torso, protecting you from the biting wind.
“Why are you still awake?” He doesn’t seem to hear you, instead pressing his face into your collarbone, “Hey, talk to me, something’s been eating you since lunch.” One of your hands moves to cup his cheek, forcing him to look up at you.
“Nothing’s wrong babe, I was just thinking, didn’t realize how late it had gotten.” You knew he was lying, and instead of moving, you stared down at him with a raised eyebrow.
“Babe, I love you, and I have for a few years now, which means I know when you’re lying to me.” He shook his head, as well as he could with his face still in your hand.
“Nothing’s wrong, baby. Let’s just go to bed.” He tried to stand but quickly realized you weren’t moving. “Babe.”
“Babe me all you want, Younghyun.” He flinched slightly at your use of his real name. “I sleep literally inches away from you, sometimes less, if you try to go to sleep right now it’s just going to keep us both awake.” He stared at you for a moment before finally relenting under your gaze.
“I just, at lunch, when you were talking about high school with Jae and Dowoon, how could you possibly be happy the way we are?”
“What do you mean?” He sighed again, gaze dropping to your legs.
“Back in high school, you were popular, you had your family, you were with someone like Jae, the son of a very rich man, he could have given you the perfect life.”
“Is this about me and Jae? Cause aside from the two times we slept together, we were never a thing.”
“This is about the fact that we live in a shitty apartment, we barely make rent some months, there’s a rat the size of a fucking cat that lives with us, and you’re stuck here. You could have been something by now, you could have been living a comfy life, rolling in money, surrounded by your friends and family, not stuck out here in Queens, with someone like me.” He finished his rant quietly, and your heart broke at his words.
“I don’t care about the size of our apartment, and I’m not stuck here.” You explained. “Babe, look at me.” His gaze remained on your legs, “Younghyun, please?” Slowly, with the help of your fingers on his chin, he finally locked eyes with you. “I don’t care about my status, I would rather be a nobody in a trashy apartment with you, than in some fancy apartment building, staring down at the people below, completely alone. Before you, and before Sungjin and Dowoon and Wonpil, I had one friend I knew was real. Everyone else only wanted to be around me because my parents were literally worth twice what theirs were. Jae was my only friend, and for a while, I didn’t even have him. And you know what, just after high school, when Jae was still debating going to college, I had made up my mind. I was going to get a major degree, then I was gonna move somewhere away from my parents” You couldn’t help but smile as the memories caught up with you. “One night, after I finally got rid of the last of my fake friends, I am sitting on Jae’s couch, drinking shitty beer and watching reruns of Parks and Rec, when someone knocks on the door. I don’t think the person on the other side was expecting to find a girl in her undies answering Jae’s door, and lord knows I wasn’t expecting to find an incredibly handsome man, with two suitcases standing outside. But let me tell you something. That man changed my life, he showed me what it meant to live, to be free, to love with my whole heart.” You bring your hand up through Brian’s hair. “I don’t care where I am, as long as I am with him, with you, I’m where I’m supposed to be.” You were both quiet for a moment before Brian's hands were pulling you closer, and he was pressing kisses to your jaw.
“What did I ever do to deserve you?” He murmured between kisses and you can’t help but giggle.
“All the right things” You offered, “Now come on, let’s go back to our shitty apartment, and Jervis, and all the things that make living with you fun.”
“Jervis?”
“The rat.”

piece by piece.
The small caffé we were at had its beige and white warm walls contrasting with the cold grey of the rainy morning outside. From the window, we could see it all. People running to their work, kids challenging their moms by jumping on the dirty street puddles… Everything seemed common and normal for everyone, and that included us.
As I drank my coffee and felt the hot, soft taste running down my throat, I could feel another type of heat hitting my cheeks as well.
He was unapologetically staring at me, with those dark eyes, that matched his little grin and black hair so perfectly well. We were facing each other, and yet I couldn't bring myself to meet his loving gaze.
And he knew that.
“You're staring.” I said, still facing the window.
“Maybe if you looked at me I could change that and kiss you.” He said, being the cheesiest version of himself – as usual –.
“Now I’m cringing inside. Thanks, you just killed the possibility.”
Instead of hearing some funny whining, for my surprise, I heard a chuckle.
“For how long do I have to pretend to believe it?” He asked, still staring right at my soul.
“Until your ego goes down again.”
“Ah, those clever answers of yours…” He said, now him being the one facing the window.
“What about them?” I said, now changing roles and me being the one staring at him.
“You're lucky I’m fond of you.” He said, not being able to stop his small smile from widening and trying to cover it with his hand.
“For how long do I have to pretend you're not smiling just by saying that?” I said, smiling with him.
“Oh, and I’M the cocky one?” He faced me playfully.
“Good, I don't need to tell you then.”
“Okay, okay, you won, you're a kid, I get it. Now, can I please go back to stare at my beautiful girlfriend?” He said in the most regular tone possible, meanwhile making my heart jump one hundred times per second.
“Brian, stop acting like a psycho.” I playfully told him, faking seriousness and turning back to the window.
Then, he supported his face on his hand, his elbow on the table and his cocky gaze turning into a loving one. “Stop being stunning, then.” He said, his voice turning into a flirty tone.
I laughed at his words. People really are dumbfounded when they're in love.
“Thank you for your words but It's too early for your loving eyes and seductive catch phrases.”
“Which seductive catch phrases? Can't a guy show adoration for his girl just because he feels like it?”
“... That's cliché.”
“And what's the problem with cliché? They always work out, at least. What do you want? Reinvent love? That's a bold move.” He said, 'defending' his cheesy attitudes. “Although I admit there are better synonymous for it.” He finished his dork speech, approaching his face to mine. “Enamored” He started, taking my hand and kissing my first knuckle, making me smile right away. “Lovesick”, another knuckle. “Passionate…” and another knuckle.
Then I caught myself looking exactly as helpless romantic he did moments ago as his eyes went up to mine, his mouth opening to say something and I swear I could feel my heart beating as loud as the rain outside: “In love”, he murmured, only for my ears to catch.
At that moment, I swore it was only the two of us in that cafeteria. My eyes, his eyes; my hand, his mouth; my love for Brian and his love for his girl.
“What did I do to deserve you?” I thought loudly, still staring at him as my hand softly left his grip and went to his soft cheek, caressing it as he sighed and leaned to it with eyes closed like he always did.
He shook his head calmly, his grin turning into a genuine smile as his eyes opened slowly and stares right through mines.
“I ask myself the same question every single day.” He said, lips kissing the palm of my hand.
“Oh, is that so?” I said, a little hint of fun in my tone. “I would love to hear about that, you know? Your ego isn't the only one who needs attention.” We chuckled together and my hand left his warm face.
“Yes, but that's something I would like to keep for a song.” He answered shyly, eyes finding the ground. If I didn't know Brian Kang, I would never thought of him as some bassist/lyricist from a rock band.
Then his gaze got darker and his hand went to caress my cheek with his thumb. As I leaned into it, he said, his voice lower than usual: “Or for when we get home”, I heard. Slowly, his thumb went to my mouth and I held myself from doing something I knew would make him want us to go straight home. I pecked his thumb discreetly, his eyes going a little darker just by it as I faked an innocent expression and said:
“I can't wait to hear both of them" I teased.
"And you will. I'm only hoping you will like them.”
“I know i will” I murmured to him, biting softly at the top of his finger.
“See? And you have the nerve to call me cocky sometimes. YOU created this monster.”
I laughed at his dorkiness, taking his hand into mine and gazing lovingly at the perfect fit.
"You're right, You're not cocky" I say, faking a correcting tone "You're just tremendously cheesy sometimes" I finished, watching his fed up expression and laughing at his child-like behavior "And I hope you never change that."
My last words were the most truthfull thing I could've said at that moment. Amongst all the jokes and puns about his clichés, it was Brian's clichés. Every gaze, every silent dance around the couch and every rose received from him was a part of his that I received; a part of his features, a part of his feelings; a part of his heart. And I love having him, piece by piece like that.
As he gives me his pieces, I give him mines. And slowly, cheesily, foolishly like that our souls interwine as time goes by.
Suddenly, a tiny peek of sunlight scapes from the tight embraces of the heavy clouds, hitting his face perfectly as his eyes stared right through my soul, and I swore I could see them shining, just like every time we have these simple, yet meaningful moments between us, with no photographers and no rush.
Both hands now interlocked mines as he shared our warmth – figuratively and literally speaking – he returned his loving eyes to mines:
“I would never be able to do that.”

[2:16am] you’re startled awake by a loud “fuck”.
young k sits at his desk, hunched over his worn leather notebook, head in his hands, pen thrown across the room in frustration.
throwing the covers aside, you slip out of bed and pad towards him, resting your chin on his shoulder and rubbing circles on his lower back with your palm,
“come to bed love, you’re frustrated”

Hot Chocolate | kyh
KangYounghyun/YoungK/BrianKang Oneshot
Genre: fluff
Warnings: Language?? But it’s pretty PG.
When you walk into the coffee shop, you're immediately hit by the warmth. You notice the dimly lit lights, the empty tables, the soft indie music playing quietly over the speakers. You notice how it's the complete opposite of the bustling life outside in the cold November weather. You also notice the smell of hot chocolate brewing behind the back counter.
“Be with you in a second,” the barista behind the counter yells without looking up from his order. You stand at the register patiently, opting to pull out your phone to make the wait go by faster. After a few minutes you hear a “What can I get for you?” causing you to look up.
And when you do, you're floored.
Shit, he’s beautiful, you think. The most beautiful, fierce, feline eyes are staring at you expectantly. Don't just stand there, give him your order!
“Uhm, I'll get a small hot chocolate please,” you say, rather shakily. “Alrighty,” he replies while scanning the screen in front of him. While he rings in your order, you can't help but stare. From his carefully styled raven black hair to his perfectly pointy nose, he was perfection.
You almost don't hear him when he gives you your total, brought back down to earth when his sharp eyes meet yours. You stand there for a second before realizing he’s waiting on you to pay. You hurriedly look down and start digging into your wallet for your card. When you look up again, he's looking at you with a quizzical brow and an upturned smirk, almost knowingly. You give him your card while keeping your eyes down, not daring to make eye contact.
After swiping your card and giving it back, he turns to the various stacks of upside-down cups and gets started on your hot chocolate. While he's making your drink, you get lost in his features once again. God, how can one human be so gorgeous? Honestly, what normal person has hair that nice? Does he use mousse to get those waves? And that body? How can someone look so angelic and so sinful at-
“You don't have to wait at the counter,” you quickly avert your eyes from his ass and to his face to find him already looking at you. “I can just bring it to your seat,” he says with yet again another smirk.
Shit, he knows. Shitshitshitshit.
“Uh, I- Uh, I actually just wanted it to go,” you stumble out.
Saved by the bell, the machine in front of him dings and he brings his attention back to your drink. He pushes the button and starts filling your cup with the brown liquid and you're saved for a few seconds. For the first time since you walked through the cafe door, you're not focused on the gorgeous barista and instead focused on the delicious smell of hot cocoa. After finishing your drink, he puts a lid on your drink and turns to walk back to the register you’re standing opposite of.
“Here you go” he says with a tight-lipped smile as he holds your drink out to you. You grab it and hastily turn on your heels. “Have a good day” you squeak out, walking like hell for the door. You're just about to break free when you hear a “Wait!” over your shoulder, making you pause in your tracks.
You take a deep breath before slowly turning to see the cute barista leaning with an elbow against the back counter and- you guessed it- another smirk spread across his lips. His eyes are mischievous this time, and you anticipate that what he’s about to say is going to ruin you.
“On a scale of one to ten, where do you think my ass falls?”
Your head falls back with a slight chuckle and he stands up straight, walking around the counter towards you. “Cause honestly, I’ve always thought I had a strong seven, maybe an eight on occasion, but I don't know. I've always thought of myself as a Kim but maybe I'm just a Kendall.”
He’s only a few steps away when he stops, towering over you. The way he’s looking at you, with his small crescent eyes and blindingly bright smile, you could faint. You break free from his trance, turning towards the door and feigning annoyance by rolling your eyes with a smile on your face. Before turning the knob, you’re stopped once again when he says lowly, “My name’s Younghyun.”
This time when you turn, he’s only a few inches from you, smile much softer, but still there. You can hear your heart pounding, and you're pretty sure he can hear it too.
“Y/N,” you reply. He repeats your name and lets out a breath, still sporting that beautiful smile, still sporting that twinkle in his eye. You could get used to this, you think.
Your moment is broken by the door opening, a man outside the threshold silently begging for you to let him into the warm shop. Younghyun greets the man and quickly walks behind the counter while you're blurting apologies, both of you equally flustered. After apologizing a hundred times, you rush out of the shop and back into the cold.
You curse as you walk down the street to your apartment, trying to keep your winter coat as tight to your body as possible and taking sips of your drink every now and then. When you get to your building, you carefully use your free hand to pick your keys out of your purse and let yourself into your apartment. You plop straight down on the couch, studying the hot chocolate in your hand and thinking about the cute barista, Younghyun.
Younghyun.
You spin the cup in your hand round and round, thinking of the fairy lights wrapped around the menu board, they way they brought out the hues of brown in his eyes, the way his hair shined in them. You're snapped out of your reverie when you see writing peeking out from under your  fingers placed on the cup. You move your hand around to the back of the cup and bring it closer to your eyes. On the cardboard gripper wrapped around the cup reads:
495-5633
You immediately sit up straight. He was into you? You didn’t make a complete idiot out of yourself? Oh my god, stay calm. He's just a guy, right. Just a nice, funny, beautiful, guy. No pressure, right? Noooo pressure at all.
You pull your phone out of your coat pocket with shaky hands and unlock it, tapping the new message button. Your thumb hovers of the screen. It's not like you don't want to, that's quite the opposite. Is he pitying you? Has he changed his mind by now?
God, just do it already.
You finally type his number in and take a deep breath.
Great, now you just have to type a message. What do you say?
'Hi! This is Y/N, how are you?’
You think on it for a second before backspacing. Too basic. Ummm funny! Try funny.
‘if you were a coffee, you'd be a cutepaccino.’
You immediately backspace. Okay, what the hell was that? After going through a million different options, you eventually settle on something.
495-5633 [Sent 7:13PM]
9.
You stare at your phone for the next ten minutes before placing it on the couch cushion beside of you, deciding to forcibly put your mind on something else. You walk to your bedroom and start doing your night routine, trying to distract yourself. After changing into your pajamas and washing your face, you'd done nothing but watch TV, not daring to overthink the text. The minutes turn into hours and you start to lose hope. Maybe you should've just sent what you’d typed first. He’s probably changed his mind about you.  It's when you're staring out the window and drinking your nightly tea that you hear your phone buzz.
The nerves that had been long gone are coming back in an instant. You run to your phone, stargazing long forgotten. You pick your phone up, though it almost slips from your sweaty palms. Your phone is lit up with only one notification.
1 message from 495-5633.
You unlock your phone and stare at the text displayed.
495-5633 [Received 10:01PM]
Can I ask what that means??
You [Sent 10:03PM]
On a scale of 1 to 10, its a 9. i'd give it a 10, but i don't want to rub your ego any more than I already have.
Younghyun [Received 10:07]
Hahah I'll take it 😂
Sorry I took so long to reply, I just got off work 😭
You [Sent 10:12PM]
Ew. Ur an emoji person.
Its fine, i've only been a nervous wreck for the last 3 hours, nbd.
Younghyun  [Received 10:15PM]
Emojis are staying. Take it or leave it.
You [Sent 10:17PM]
Ugh, fine.
So, do you give your number to every girl that comes in your shop?
Younghyun  [Received 10:20PM]
Haha honestly, no. I know i probably sound like a douche but I just wanted to get to know you and I didn't really have the courage to ask for your number
You [Sent 10:25PM]
Oh, but you had the courage to call me out for looking at your ass earlier? A man of mysteries.
Younghyun  [Received 10:28PM]
Woooow. You know, you're pretty mouthy for someone who couldn't say three words to me without blushing a few hours ago.
And I had reason! You were staring me up and down like a piece of meat. I am a human being you know?
You [Sent 10:31PM]
A man with jokes too! Goodness, you're a Jack of all trades.
Younghyun  [Received 10:35PM]
…. So are you not gonna acknowledge the topic.at hand here or…?
You [Sent 10:37PM]
Absolutely not.
Younghyun  [Received 10:38PM]
Noted.
Care to acknowledge it over lunch then? Tomorrow at 1? The sandwich shop next to my shop is really good
You [Sent 10:42PM]
Lunch- yes. Talking about my embarrassments- no.
Younghyun  [Received 10:45PM]
Fair enough. I’ll take what I can get
Younghyun  [Sent 10:47PM]
LOL i'm gonna go to bed. See you tomorrow.
Brian [Received 10:50PM]
Sweet dreams.
You [Sent 10:53PM]
… Bring hot chocolate
You break your intense attention away from your phone and clutch your mug to your chest, mind going a hundred miles an hour. You set your mug down in the sink and head to your bed, ready to get under the sheets (although you probably won't sleep at all tonight).
The next day when you arrive at the sandwich shop, ten minutes early, Younghyun is in the corner, already seated. Your eyes find his, already looking at you. You're greeted by a hot chocolate and a gorgeous smile, and that smile doesn't leave for the rest of the date. You guys talk about books, movies, how he's a bassist in a band with his best friends, and how you're in love with the stars in the sky, though neither of you know you’ll also fall in love with the ones in his eyes. And when it's time to leave, he walks you to your apartment and leaves a sweet kiss on your lips. He does the same thing the next time you meet. And the next. And the next, until it becomes a regular routine. Until his kisses and hot chocolate become as normal as taking the bus every morning or looking at the sky before drifting away every night. And even after winter is long gone and summer brings it’s sunny skies and warm weather, his sweet kisses and hot chocolates are still a constant.
