I started this little custom during the @maresinblack Zoom call last week, and was finally able to put in some more time on her today. She's a SM Silky Sullivan, and one of my first custom attempts as a kid; I tried to hair her and it went... Badly. But I love these old #MaureenLove pieces, so I decided to salvage her. I gave her a Greyson tail, new mane, shortened neck, and turned head. Her head/neck still needs some work, and I need to refine her tail, but I like the direction she's going. She’s a blue to purple color shift with pearly white markings and green to blue color shift tail. Her hooves and pink nose are also pearly. She’s so shiny and shimmery I just adore her, and to think she started out as a test piece for the color shift paint!!

She’s been most challenging to photograph but I hope you can see the shifting colors in her coat, she’s just awesome!!

▶️ PROGRESS REPORT ◀️ (Yes he will be for sale once finished) Still progressing with the custom Breyer Frankel and so far he’s complying with what is asked from him. I’ve managed to do the apoxie work on his leg and skull which is a nice milestone. Currently working on rebuilding a bone structure on his spine after adding fixtures internally to mount the spine itself giving a bit of extra stability to the model. In addition will be doing some bone grafting to the spine, and work out the best placement for a removable light. Simply because I feel just dropping the bulb in would be the lazy way which isn’t very convenient in the long run. Once all the hardware is done - onto the repaint! Not very good pictures but here is my latest WIP custom! The very last picture shows the original mould, so as you can see I've changed a bit: -ears are back -leg is up in a kick -redid the other leg after it snapped off while taking the tail off -new swishy tail -attempted muscling for lifted leg -stallion parts removed + replaced by mare parts -mouth open in an angry bite (unfinished) I'm very excited about this guy and quite proud of his tail after my first attempt with a swishy tail on another SM wasn't as successful IMO. I'm hoping to finish him by my first live show this year in April. I'm thinking fiery chestnut for him although this might change once I've seen him in primer. ...and to think this all started out because I bought him with an ear broken off...
