Hm...not really. Although I greatly appreciate the universe, I still do not understand how BK sees the world, and people. I mean...he has...impressions of people, and is confused, but...precisely! It confuses me with how he should be! Or…think ? I just don't fit into the character.

So, I don't really think I would draw anything more on Bone King Au, until I understand it better. (Unless I want of course uwu)

And the Bone King and Mac relationship unsettles me the most. I mean...BK hates Macaque. But he keeps it anyway. Well...I don't think he hates him. Just…he has a bad feeling about him. But he wants him by his side anyway. If I were him, I would have killed Mac, and I would have regretted it afterwards. Like... "Oh, damn! I was wondering how I felt about that guy. Well, whatever. I wouldn't have to think about it now." Bref! All that to say, it's still confusing to me.

XD, I realize that I didn't really understand what a head cannon is, and that I just drew what I wanted to do with Mac and BK anyway.

I just finished the Time Killing Event, it was awesome, love our trio of detectives. There are just some things I want to ramble about:

Tw: suicidal thoughts, suicidal behaviour (even if it is not stated as this and that it may not be to that extent, I prefer to put this in case, so if you’re uncomfortable with these subjects, don’t go past the photo and stay safe)

Just wanted to start with, it was an event so funny, I really liked the comical situations and the story.

I loved all the illustrations (there were so many, it was so nice)

loved the interactions between the members of the bus

loved the focus we got on Rodya and also the bit of focus we got on Ryoshu (it was super nice to see that she had warmed up to the other sinners)

Dante please go talk to Ryoda, she needs to tell someone how she feels and put off her mask for the moment of a conversation

But I have to just ask: Hong Lu, are you okay?

Because like 60% of the time Hong Lu spoke I was like: wait what

Hong Lu are you okay ?! What do you mean “when my siblings tried to kill me”, what do you mean “the first time”?! And what did you just say about your family ?!

I know, we knew Hong Lu’s past was probably as messed up as his family, and this event really confirmed it. But the way he talked about it, the way he talked about the first time (implying that there was others times) his siblings tried to kill him, how he proposed himself to be a bait to this time killing distortion, it was so unsettling but also kind of sad ‘cause Hong Lu clearly doesn’t care about his end or even, in a certain way, himself. And the fact that he understood them wanting him dead, either because Hong Lu also wishes to be dead, or (and that’s probably more this case) Hong Lu understood their hate for him because Hong Lu knows how to read people and how to understand them at a, sometimes, really deep emotional level. We saw it with Yi Sang, we saw it many times, Hong Lu is capable of very profound empathy.

Okay, sometimes he said things that are very off with what the sinner usually meant and so it passes as something pretentious or said by a rich guy who never had to live a hard life but sometimes those lighthearted comments also convey a form of truth or clue for the others to understand.

Hong Lu gave so much the impression that he wouldn’t mind dying or at least doing something akin to dying. And the fact that he just want to experience a lot of things before having to go back to his family I guess, is still concerning for me because even though it seems that his family agreed on having Hong Lu going on a trip, I can’t help but getting the impression that Hong Lu is a teenager who allegedly ran away from home following a crisis with his family. And I know Hong Lu never phrased it like that and everything is pointing toward him going on a little trip with his family’s authorisation , but I can’t shake off this impression that that’s not the case …

And this sentence about the world staying unchanged, what does this mean??? Of course, it made me think about the book, but I don’t know yet how to put it together yet. You see, if I get it right, one of the thing The Dream of Red Chamber tackles is this notion that nothing is truly unchanging, even more, that things are constantly changing and so never the same, never a fix thing/identity. And these changements are something that Jia Baoyu has to learn and recognise as being a part of his mortal life in “our” world. And there is more and more to this theme but I am not going to dwell on this now…

Bref, Hong Lu made it clear that he lived through the Hunger Games when he was with his family and that there are many things wrong with this latest and Hong Lu’s past and everything surrounding it…

Still no mentions of Lin Daiyu, I keep wondering where will she fit in all of this…

Hong Lu also mention his second oldest aunt which could be Lin Daiyu’s mother (Jia Min) or Xue Pan and Xue Baochai’s mother (Aunt Xue) and Baochai is the one who ends up marrying Jia Baoyu in the book …

Anyway, I am also glad that this event highlighted once again that fact that Hong Lu knows how to read people on an emotional level.

On another note, the story of Hong Lu’s new identity was nice because once again it proves that Hong Lu knows how to observe and analyse others and details but his left eye was not mentioned… so idk what to think because is it it hidden between the lines ? Is his left eye not involved in this ? Or is this a reference to the book? See, for the third option, which I find interesting, it reminded me of the fact that even though the jade with which Baoyu was born is recognise as something precious and magical, its existence is not really questioned nor are his magical powers. Nobody really question how, why Jia Baoyu comes to be born with a jade in his mouth, its just a fact.

Mais bon bref, quand Mephisto parle de royaume, je me demande si il parle physiquement ou bien mentalement. C'est de Mephisto dont on parle après tout. Après le criminel qu'a pu arrêter Amelie, je me demande si on le verra quand on sera un arc centré sur elle.

So Beem and the others getting their higher ranks is well deserved. And the fact that Silvia stays in both clubs can make for some pretty cool creations, I hope we'll see some. Otherwise, I love how the students get angry at the teachers for cheating on Iruma and the others, it was fun! Although it amuses Mephisto to see Iruma like that, especially the page where Iruma takes care of kids, I was like “Welcome to my world Iruma”. But anyway, when Mephisto talks about a kingdom, I wonder if he's talking physically or mentally. This is Mephisto we're talking about, after all. Following the criminal that Amelie was able to stop, I wonder if we'll see him when we're an arc centered on her.

Mais je regrette TELLEMENT sa colo du cheval, elle était INCROYABLE 😭

I need to say that nebule.art first made the characters colorizations, that were GORGEOUS! Sadly, she had some difficulties when exporting and we had to redo the whole colo, and for organization reasons, I handled it. But I regret her horse colo SO MUCH, it was INCREDIBLE 😭

And Cara made the characters lines to polish my sketches! ✨

Ngl, I asked to participate to the characters drawings for this video, because I love Blitzø in this outfit way too much 👀

The first one's my fav! Look at how adorb they are! And gotta admit that drawing happy Blitzø is therapeutic.

Dwarves are made for cold temperatures, they live in the mountains and are necessarily adapted to that.

Hobbits walk barefoot with light clothing. Their life revolves around harvests (and other things) so I tell myself that it must be warmer there.

The dwarves mostly come to see Bilbo in winter because it is the most pleasant season for them. Conversely, he goes to see his friends in the mountains in summer because it is the warmest and most pleasant time for him.

Of course they could overcome the temperature difference but it would not be pleasant and they can very well live a relationship, love or friendship at a distance.

After the arrival of Frodo of course Bilbo stopped leaving in the summer to take care of him but the dwarves always came to see him despite everything.

Always Never, by Jordi Lafebre

It's a love story in reverse. A platonic passion between two people. On the one side, there's Ana, a charismatic woman in her sixties, former mayor newly retired, a wife and a mom. A fighter with a big heart commanding respect. On the other side, there's Zeno, a confirmed bachelor, bookseller close to retiring and PhD student whose thesis took him forty years to write. A free spirit and traveller, as charming as he is mysterious.

Over the years, they have woven together an impossible and inexhaustible love. While going through the excuses that prevented it to happen, we rewind the clock on this romance, with all its twists and turns... Until its origins.

I bawled my eyes out when I reached the last page, it was amazing.

It was probably the most touching and beautiful love story I've read since... forever, maybe. The art style and the colors were what drew my attention first, and what was inside was just as beautiful as the cover.

The backward narration timewise was a really interesting way to tell Zeno and Ana's story because we know that something happened for them to lose touch and miss each other throughout the years, but we're left wondering what until we get there. It also means that some details come back at different points in time and we only understand where they come from later (the lilies were my favorite). It feels like we're being rewarded for paying attention to what's being said and drawn.

Anyways, much much love for this graphic novel, I'll borrow another one by Jordi Lafebre at the library as soon as possible.

Au fil des années, ils ont tissé ensemble un amour impossible et intarissable. Tout en égrainant les excuses qui ont empêché qu'elle ne prenne forme, on remonte le temps de cette romance et de ses méandres... jusqu'à sa source.

J'ai pleuré comme une madeleine quand je suis arrivée à la dernière page, c'était incroyable.

C'est probablement l'histoire d'amour la plus touchante et la plus belle que j'ai lu depuis... peut-être toujours. Les dessins et les couleurs sont ce qui a attiré mon regard en premier et l'intérieur de la BD est aussi beau que la couverture.

La narration à rebours était un moyen super intéressant de raconter l'histoire d'amour de Zéno et Ana parce qu'on sait qu'il s'est passé certaines choses pour qu'ils se perdent de vue et se ratent au fil du temps, et on se demande comment ça s'est produit jusqu'à ce qu'on y arrive. Ça permet aussi d'avoir des détails qui se répètent et dont on ne comprend l'origine que plus tard (les lys étaient mon détail préféré). On se sent récompensé quand on fait attention à ce qu'il se dit ou ce qui est dessiné.

Bref, gros gros gros coup de cœur, j'emprunterai une autre BD de Jordi Lafebre à la bibliothèque dès que possible.

Hello! Oh no, I'm not bothered at all - quite the opposite, actually. This is such a sweet message. You don't owe me any thank you, but that's nice from you.

I was glad to see your post too. I was only looking for Heavy Rains' fan arts and gifs (well, especially those about Norman Jayden, but I think that I was open to a lot of things), but I didn't expect to learn anything about the next (unfortunately abandoned) game.

The potential was insane. The fact that it was centered on Norman already got me, but Jack Reilly's existence and their life together? Like omg? First, that means that Norman is canonically gay / bi, which is both awesome and unexpected.

I really had a great time with this video game. It probably was my first narrative game (and more specifically, a game with choices, but I don't know how to say it in English) and I loved the experience. I played it a few times and also watched some let's play (I just finished one today, because a very well known French streamer just discovered Heavy Rain and I wanted to live this experience again). It's always cool. A lot of feelings, several linked points of vue, endearing characters... bref, it works, and it's hard to just move on after the end.

However, it's really hard to ignore how the whole game shows a typical straight male gaze. Like all the time, and it's not even subtle. Women are objectified for no purpose - just because they can do it, I guess? This is not just about David Cage's shower obsession (like really, how many shower scenes? is it a kink or something? for real, it happens too often to be ignored ahah), but how he portrays his female characters. It's quite painful to watch. How many sexual aggressions? We even have a particularly scary agression in a dream? Was any of it really necessary? Did they exist in any other way?

Oh, yes, we had Madison Paige. I liked her, but she was not an exception at all. She also was over sexualized - not surprising, at this point - but that's not all. Yes, she is smart and brave. But that doesn't erase the fact that she only exists to be here for Ethan Mars. She was the nice nurse that helped him every time he was hurt, because that's how women are supposed to be.

Gender roles are very stereotyped and it even starts in the firsts minutes of the game, when Grace is depicted like if she was so boring. She took care of the children all day, managed all the organization herself and is basically exhausted.

And when she comes home, what? Ethan didn't do anything. He has to wait for his wife to tell him what to do, to remember that yes, it's his kid's birthday and he should be more invested. So a very hard task, to get the table ready... except he doesn't even know where the plates are, how to open the placard (I don't remember the English word, sorry) and can't even take care of the material. But he did it, so I guess we should applaud?

And after that, Grace continues to set up everything, without any consideration, while he goes out to play with the kid. It brings him the good role. I guess that Grace would love to spend fun time with her children too, but she can't since she is the only one to be invested in his son's birthday organization.

So when I read that Norman Jayden had a boyfriend, I was just confused. Wtf David? Were you drunk or something? How could you even not think straight? I know that sometimes a strong enough misogyny can involuntarily become gay, but still. This is so far from what we saw in Heavy Rain. I was not expecting it to be somehow canon. But it is, and I take it. It's just so sad that we'll (probably) never see it as a game.

The fandom seems to do the job for all of us. It doesn't appear as dead as you say, really. I saw some AO3 fanfictions... but didn't read any of it yet. It's not that easy to start an English story when you're so far from being fluent. I already struggle to read in French due to my attention issues (or at least it is the main reason), so starting a story in English is something else - and way harder. I already did it, but not many times and my level stays way too low for me to don't see any difference. Anyway, I hope to be able to start some of them. I saw a lot of potential in a few Norman/Ethan stories and I don't want to miss it.

Well, now, I also hope that Norman/Jack fanfictions exist. I guess not, according to your post? If so, what a waste. We don't know much about them (or at least I do not), but already enough to write a very entertaining story. Jack Reilly obviously was a very skilled scientist. He worked on advanced technologies and Normand used them on the field. This is both revolutionary and fascinating.

Also, we have the whole addiction to triptocaine part. They unfortunately had that in common - Jack even died for it. That brings a deep meaning to all the times we saw Norman fight against his addiction. The fact that he couldn't stop and was sure to die because of it. It's even more significant to know that his love died from it. It's awful and dramatic. But for the same reason, I think that it has - again - a huge potential. A story about their common addiction and how they deal with it would be amazing.

It deserves to exist, really. Oh, and of course, Jack also deserves to survive. I want to see Norman and him happy together. Our poor FBI guy wasn't very lucky until now, so it has to change. I'm not sure that I couldn't support anything else ahah.

Well... This answer starts to be long (or at least, way more than what I expected), so I should stop here. Just thank you for your kind words and your implication in the fandom. It's really pleasant to see. And the fandom doesn't need anything else to be alive.

hi 👀 306 was last week but I still wanted to address a couple of things… mainly roxane’s last scene, ouch, she deserved a better exit than parroting the writers’ memo on [gros canard]’s failings 😩 c’est faible. feels like they should’ve axed the scene (it was clear enough they’d break up, anyway) and simply confirmed she left with the voicemail about her sister dropping off the keys. (btw--did we know she had a sister before you mentioned that detail in fic, or was it another of your predictions??)

big fan of the attic scene though, and daphné & [gros canard]’s synchronized "gilles 🙄😵" lol. plot-wise, however, I’d like to know who would put multiple acid tablets in a bottle they’re not drinking, because 1) big waste of money for a student population, 2) it’s probably not the most efficient way to take lsd (les résidus au fond de la bouteille !!!), 3) que fait le bde ? shouldn’t they at least pretend to care about safety when there’s a party in the dorms?

and I’ll admit it was kinda fun to see [gros canard] using his ~"just broke up" privileges to dunk on morgane’s relationship history. the guy woke up and chose violence 😭😂😭 ça va qu’elle le prend bien…

I tend to disagree with you re Roxane's break-up scene, because let's remember that we are obsessed. We can list all of Adam's misdemeanors in the blink of an eye. The casual viewer can't. So this last fact in itself justifies Roxane's monologue reminding us what a terrible boyfriend he's been. And also, even though it all wasn't fresh news for me, I must say I appreciated hearing them all together and I appreciated even more Adam having all of this said to his face. And Roxane's conclusion "Et tu penses que ça fait de toi un type bien" poooooooow elle tire à balles réelles et ça fait du bien !!!! So yea basically I loved that scene because he deserved it. Period. 😂

And yes, Roxane mentioned her sister in 206!!! ("et pour l'anniversaire de ma soeur, tu as pu te libérer ?" while Adam is cursing Morgane for not capping the ketchup bottle) Now did I mention her sister in PQENCEL, well I'm afraid that's another occurrence of Local HPI anon knows my own fic better than I do lol!

The attic scene was funny-ish, granted, but it's entirely thanks to Gilles' inability to correctly answer multiple-choice questions! Ok full disclaimer, I'm kinda meh about this episode, I don't understand why so many people, cast members included, claim that it's the season's best, but also I must say that for me, the episode is completely doomed because of some infuriating stuff that happens in the finale 😭

Agreed that there's some very generous dealers on this campus, last time I checked open bars didn't include full bottles of LSD, but hey what do I know, my student years are far behind (also BDEs have never been worried about safety, come on 😅)(but this makes me think of the Palmashow's HPI spinoff "BDE" lol I bet it would have made this ep more interesting)

(speaking of the Palmashow parody, Morgane finding the victim's daughter behind the screen that *happened to be here* reminded me so much of fake Morgane finding the killer behind the curtain lol)

"the guy woke up and chose violence 😭😂😭 ça va qu’elle le prend bien…" -> true, perhaps it was a bit harsh to tell her that, but honestly the return of the flirty bickering felt so refreshing!!!! 😍 And I'd dare to think that maybe that's also the reason she takes it well while she has all the reasons to be hurt by him reminding her that she always gets dumped, because he's FINALLY risking a joke at her after all those weeks of silent treatment and closed face and angry looks, my boy is making amends and holding a timid Olive branch and she couldn't be more relieved....

... which makes the three months window proposal absolutely frustrating!!! I *hated* this part (I mean, before I watched the finale and understood what hating an episode's ending really meant lol *crying laughter*), because even though Adam needs some time to heal (understandable), and is a total control freak who shows up early on dates and probably needs to know his schedule six months in advance, this is like peak non-romance. Where's the passion? The spontaneity? I'd have accepted this scene if we'd seen him showing up at Morgane's door barely a week later and telling her that he, in fact, cannot wait, but this... UGH!

My theory is that he wanted to wait long enough to be sure about his feelings for Morgane (which would explain why he's so enthusiastic to date her in the next ep, unless he's that dtf haha), make sure it wasn't a phase or a fantasy due to being stuck in a relationship, and that's probably the only theory I can accept because it's vaguely romantic at least, and also I need to believe that his feelings are real, which is something that tends to be hinted at in 307-308 imo, so there's that consistency at least...

Speaking of consistency!!! I know I'm just hurting myself at this point but I wanted to make a quick check on the timeline... Surprisingly the show actually manages to speak the truth, Timothée did spend 4 months with the team (he arrived in the summer, two months later around September/October - remember that the months were mixed up in 303-304 - he starts dating Morgane for two months, and here we are!). So WHY would they instantly ruin that effort with the most random line this show's ever delivered:

"Et bah moi, je me suis séparée de Ludo il y a neuf mois..."

GIRRRRRRRRL, you spent two months on a couch after your breakup. Then, admitting that 205 to 208 happened in like a week which is in itself a ridiculous assumption, you left the PJ for six months. And here we are, four months later, as dutifully reminded by Timothée. And I didn't even extrapolate here, I just took point blank the elements that the show gave me.

2 + 6 + 4 = TWELVE FUCKING MONTHS BARE MINIMUM. Was it that hard to follow up? Jesus Christ.

And since I'm on the inconsistency chapter, the way TIBER is written on Morgane and Adam's wrists suggests that it's Morgane who was holding the pen because of the letters' orientation, but in this case she wrote on her left wrist. While she's left-handed. Too bad, huh?

Lestat is by far my favorite Vampire and the only book i have read 3 times in my live are The Vampire Lestat. I love it, this book have a soul. THANK YOU Anne Rice for all this chronicle, but it so annoyimg to see what they are doing with this chef d'oeuvre de la litterature when come the time to create a tv show or a movie.. Any respect, any taste, any finesse... With that serie they killed Lestat for good and burried him with is real creator, Anne Rice. Its a shame. Pourquoi on a pas eu cette histoire pour l'épilogue ? Elle est bien plus intéressant que celle qu'on a eu. Enfin bref, tout ce que souhaitait Pêchaminus c'est d'être aimé par le vieux couple et pour ça, il leur donnait ses mochis de servitude les gardant sous un contrôle mental. S'assurant qu'ainsi il soit toujours aimé par le vieux couple, en revanche ils commencèrent à lui demander des choses. Et Pêchaminus se disait que si il répondait à leurs requêtes, ils l'aimeront davantage. Et on sait enfin pourquoi le trio Adoramis a volé les masques c'est parce que le vieux couple voulait les avoir. Par la suite on apprend que le trio Adoramis est sous le contrôle de Pêchaminus vu qu'il leur a fait mangé ses mochis.

Lorsqu'il récupéra enfin les masques, Pêchaminus se disait que le couple allait l'aimer davantage sauf qu'Ogerpon arrive pour les récupérer et ainsi le trio Adoramis. Pêchaminus savait très bien qu'il ne ferait pas le poids face à elle. Alors il puisa dans ses dernières forces pour retourner dans sa coquille.

Je trouve l'histoire intéressante mais aussi tragique car en voulant se faire aimer par le vieux couple. Il a exacerbé leur avarice en demandant davantage de choses de la part de Pêchaminus. Et en soit c'est triste de voir qu'il s'est résolu à les contrôler plutôt qu'essayer de gagner petit à petit leur affection naturellement. Je trouve qu'il y a justement un parallèle intéressant avec Ogerpon et son ami ainsi que Pêchaminus. Les habitants de Septentria craignait leurs présence jusqu'à ce qu'ils utilisent les masques et qu'ils soient aimés en retour. Alors que Pêchaminus essayait de gagner l'amour du vieux couple grâce au contrôle mental de ses mochis. Surtout que je pense qu'il s'est pas rendu compte de ses actes, à cause de lui, Ogerpon a perdu son ami à cause du vol des masques. Et au final, tout deux ont été privé de leurs amours car ils ont perdu les personnes qu'ils chérissaient.

Why didn't we get this story for the epilogue? It's much more interesting than the one we got. Anyway, all Pecharunt wanted was to be loved by the old couple and to do that, he gave them his servitude mochis, keeping them under his control. Ensuring that he would always be loved by the old couple, on the other hand, they began to ask him for things. And Pecharunt told himself that if he fulfilled their requests, they'd love him more. And we finally learn why the Adoramis trio stole the masks - it was because the old couple wanted them. We then learn that the loyal three are under Pecharunt's control, since he made them eat his mochi.

When he finally retrieved the masks, Pecharunt thought the couple would like him even more, except that Ogerpon arrived to retrieve them and defeat the Adoramis trio. Pecharunt knew he'd be no match for her. So he drew on the last of his strength to return to his shell.

I find the story interesting, but also tragic, because in wanting to be loved by the old couple. He exacerbated their greed by demanding more from Pecharunt. And it's sad to see that he's chosen to control them rather than try to earn their affection naturally. I think there's an interesting parallel with Ogerpon and his friend and Pecharunt. The people of Septentria feared their presence until they used the masks and were loved in return. While Pecharunt tried to win the old couple's love by mind-controlling his mochis. But I think he didn't realize what he was doing, because of him, Ogerpon lost his friend through the theft of the masks. And in the end, both were deprived of their loves because they lost the people they cherished.
