Insecurity | Billy Butcher x gn!reader
『••✎••』
↳ ❝ probably a lil ooc, but i was wondering where reader is insecure about their body and Billy makes them feel better and hes like idk rly soft? it doesnt have to be smut, but idm if it is, thats up to u.
if you dont want to write this then maybe number 9. "Getting into a fight because someone insulted them"
6. "I got you, you're okay"
1. "The first time you said you loved me - that was my best day" - @loganbcrnes ❞
: ̗̀➛ Billy immediately picks up on it when you're not feeling your best, and in his own way, he tries to make you feel better.
trigger warnings: ̗̀➛ swearing (obvioisly), use of the word "fag" as a slang term, mentions of smoking, sex references, insecurity
↳ MINORS DO NOT INTERACT
•───────────────★•♛•★──────────────•
Billy eyed you carefully from his place at the desk, hunched over slightly as he kept his dark brown eyes on you; hardly able to ignore the way you tried to make yourself blend into your surroundings, and how you always quickly looked away when you caught your reflection on your phone screen. He wasn't an idiot.
He knew what was going on, just as he knew why you had been distant from him lately, too. Usually, you would sit next to him with your feet on his thighs, relaxed and taking up as much space as possible. Not today.
No. Instead, you were trying to make yourself invisible, and he knew what was going on; but Billy was far from the most courteous of men, and when everyone else left the two of you behind, he cleared his throat, and dared to smile a little.
"Oi!" He practically shouted. "C'mere."
"Billy, don't," you sighed, shaking your head.
Billy clenched his jaw a little bit. "C'mere, please. I got a bone t'pick with you."
You rolled your eyes, all but marching over to him; your hands stuffed into the pockets of your oversized hoodie. Gaze on the ground. "What?"
"Y'know," he hummed, leaning back in his chair and propping his feet up on the desk. "The day I saw you, that were the day I fuckin' well realised the moon ain't the most breathtakin' thing."
"Seriously?" You deadpanned.
"Yeah, seriously," he nodded. "Every fuckin' day I look at you, I don't fuckin' get it. How a cunt like me managed to pull someone as fit as you... bloody well beyond me."
You were about to move away, brush him off and ignore his words completely, when he gently coaxed you to stand between his legs; forcing you to maintain eye contact with him.
"Billy-"
"Shut up and listen, alright?" He huffed. "You can fuckin' sit in your corner fuckin' mopin' about like some crybaby cunt all you like - I don't give a toss. But if you asked me? I'd say you was fuckin' peng. And I'd mean it. I fuckin' well would."
"It's not my looks..." you muttered. "I really... Billy, I don't wanna talk about it, alright? There's people with nicer, better bodies than me and-"
"Yeah, but that's your body, innit?" Billy shrugged, almost grinning. "And 'cause it's your body, I happ'n to think it's better than any other cunt's body."
You scoffed at him, shaking your head. "You're only saying that-"
"'Cause what?" He quirked a brow. "There ain't no one here but you an' me, so it ain't like I'm tryin' to fuckin' play with you. It's just us, and I'm sat here, tellin' you: I like your body."
"Billy-"
He tapped your thigh gently. "I like how these rest on me lap when you sit next to me on the sofa."
You rolled your eyes.
He gently tapped your stomach. "I like how soft this is, and how I gets to put me hand on it when we sleep."
You glared at him.
Softly, he tapped your chest. "I like how this presses up against me back in the mornin' when you sneak out for your mornin' fag an' come back."
"How'd you-"
He gently traced his fingers from your shoulders to your elbows. "I like how these feel around me when we're snuggled up watchin' shit horror films."
He grabbed your wrists, grinning. "And most of all, I fuckin' love how these feel wrapped around-"
"You're disgusting!" You laughed, snatching your hands back and fondly shaking your head. "Vile!"
"There's that award winnin' smile," he grinned, letting you go. "Y'know, you don't need the fuckin' perfect body. The one you got is the one that's alright."
"Thanks..." you mumbled, daring to gently pat his cheek. "I know you're trying..."
"I got you," Billy said, as softly as he could allow himself to. "I got you, you're okay. I ain't goin' nowhere yet... unless you and M.M's gonna watch that shit again, that fuckin', what is it? Downton? You watch that and I'm buggerin' off down pub."
You nodded, taking in a deep breath as you smiled. "You are the loveliest bastard I've never met, you know that, don't you?"
He shrugged, sitting back down and putting his feet on the desk again; his hands folded in his lap as he grinned at you. "Yeah, but you fuckin' love me."
"Unfortunately," you hummed, sitting on his desk with your arms folded. "Y'know... some days... just some, I think about what my best day was, and I know."
"Hmm?"
"The first time you said you loved me - that was my best day," you said quietly, picking at the loose skin at the side of your thumb nail.
Billy took a moment, observing you carefully. "Pretty sure that was my best fuckin' day, in all. Can't lie... but, say - why don't me an' you grab a quick Chinese? The others ain't gonna be back for yonks, so we can sit down, have a nice Chinese, and watch that fuckin' Take Me Out bollocks you like, eh?"
You grinned as you nodded, clearing your throat. "That's the best idea you've had in a while, y'know... d'you reckon we could order in?"
"Don't see why not," Billy admitted. "Ain't like Homelander's gonna disguise himself as a lowly fuckin' delivery bloke now, issit?"
"True," you agreed with a slow nod.
"G'on," he told you quietly, gesturing with a quick nod. "Go grab the leaflet, we'll see what's good - and it's whatever you want in all. Starters, puddin', whole lot - anythin' you want, order it."
"Alright, Sir," you teased. "No need to bark orders at me."
"Can do a lot more than that," Billy smiled, raising his brows. "All you gotta do is fuckin' ask."
You hopped off of his desk, feeling your stomach rumble loudly. "I might take you up on that later, but... Bill?"
"Hmm?"
"Thanks," you told him quietly. "I, erm... I needed all that, and I appreciate it."

thank you so much for reading, but if I may have your attention for a brief moment: Fadi needs help to evacuate himself & his family from Gaza as urgently as possible. if you DO have the means to, then please, consider even giving just £1, it would make all the difference to a family in dire circumstances.

An Unconventional Debut: A Bridgerton AU story — Remy Lebeau x F!Reader ~Part 2

Tumblr media
Crystal chandeliers cast a warm glow upon the ballroom, illuminating a sea of swirling silks and glittering jewels. Flowers, placed delicately on pedestals, emulated a crisp scent of peonies and roses throughout the room. Tonight was the Stafford Soiree, and Miss Everleigh, adorned in a gown of the deepest sapphire, felt a thrill of anticipation course through her.
The evening unfolded in a flurry of introductions, waltzes, and polite conversations. Lord Alistair Blackwood, with his seemingly easy smile and charming wit, captivated her attention for a dance or two. Yet, a restless flicker remained within you. You craved more than small talk, than polite words or compliments.
Then, you saw him. Monsieur LeBeau stood across the room, his brown hair tousled and a hint of a smile playing on his lips. He held himself with a casual elegance that was somehow both intriguing and disarming. Your eyes met briefly across the room, and a shiver danced down your spine.
As the night wore on, suitors lined up for a chance to waltz with the newly crowned Diamond of the Season. But your gaze kept returning to Monsieur LeBeau, who seemed to be observing you from the sidelines. Many other debutantes were fanning themselves with their fornate fans, eager for a morsel of attention from the dashing gentleman. But Remy wasn't very interested in their attention. Something about you captivated him outside Madame Delacroix's shop nearly a sennight ago.
His eyes kept their gaze on you, noticing the way you flitted about the room with Lord Blackwood. There was a flicker of unamusement, like you needed an escape. He made his way over to you in a sauve stride, leaving the other ladies to pout at his sudden excuse to leave their dull conversations.
Lord Blackwood bowed, leaving you alone on the dance floor, but not before capturing the attention of the ton, especially the Queen. It seems the two of you made a striking pair, dancing together.
Finally, when the music transitioned to a slower, more intimate waltz, a tap on your shoulder made you turn.
His hand, strong and warm, found your gloved one. A flicker of surprise crossed Lord Blackwood's face as you readily accepted Remy's invitation. As you both stepped onto the dance floor, murmurs rippled through the crowd.
"Miss Everleigh," Remy's voice was a warm baritone, the accent more pronounced amidst the proper English of the ballroom, "may I have the pleasure o' this dance, if your card ain't full?"
Remy held you confidently, yet there was a subtle deference in his stance. The two of you moved in perfect harmony, your steps a silent conversation. His gaze held yours, a dark intensity that sent a flutter to your heart.
"Ma chere, you look even more breathtakin' than the day we met," Remy murmured, his voice a caress against your ear.
You felt a blush creep up your cheeks. "Flattery will get you nowhere, Monsieur Lebeau," you teased, though your voice lacked conviction.
"Might not," he countered with a sly smile, "but it might get me another dance."
You continued to waltz, a silent understanding building between you both. The rest of the room faded away, the whispers and curious glances lost in the rhythm of the music and the intensity of your connection.
As the music swelled to a final crescendo, Remy bowed deeply, his eyes lingering on your for a beat too long.
"Until next time, Miss Everleigh," he said, his voice a low murmur.
Your heart was a pounding frantic rhythm, so you could only manage a polite curtsy before he disappeared into the throng. The night may have begun with Lord Blackwood, but it ended with a captivating stranger who had stolen not just the last dance, but a significant portion of your attention.
As you surveyed the ballroom, a slow smile spread across your face. The Stafford Soiree had indeed held more excitement than just a new gown. It had brought Remy Lebeau, and the promise of something altogether more thrilling.
But Lord Blackwood had noticed this too. As your attention was being cast towards your mother now, Lord Blackwood took this chance to chat with Remy, who had disappeared into the cloak room.
Remy had decided to wind down at one of the tables with a shot of Ratafia, not his usual pick, but it hit the spot nonetheless.
"Monsieur LeBeau, what a surprise. I hear you hail from overseas, correct? Presumably New Orleans?"
There was an apprehensive tone to Lord Blackwood's voice, as if he were assessing Remy.
"Oui, and you mus' be Blackwood? Amiright?" Remy studied the man. There was something about the way he carried himself, like he had an air of haughtiness about him that Remy didn't much care for.
"Lord Alistair Blackwood." his lip curled, quickly correcting him like he was his inferior.
"Hm, well, care for a game of cards, Lord Blackwood?" Remy smirked, exaggerating the way his name graced his lips, his air of pompousness not going unnoticed by him.
"Oblige me then, Monsieur LeBeau. But I have been known to win my share of rounds," he replied nonchalantly, responding as if Remy was the dirt scuffing his shoe.
'We'll see bout that,' Remy thought to himself. "How bout raising the stakes then? Winner gets first dance with Miss Everleigh at the next ball," he challenged Alistair as he shuffled his deck.
"Oh, that won't happen. The Queen has seen a match between us. I don't think you stand a chance." Blackwood shrugged, posture remaining rigid, all while trying to get a rise out of Remy.
Remy's lips curved into a sly smile, the amusement dancing in his eyes a stark contrast to Lord Blackwood's sudden rigidity. "Hold on there, Blackwood," Remy drawled, his accent thickening slightly with amusement. "Seems to me you're forgettin' somethin'."
He casually leaned in closer to Alistair across the table, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper. "Last I saw, the lady was practically swoonin' in my arms. Don't think a fancy title or a Queen's bet is gonna change that now, will it?"
Alistair's jaw clenched, the forced smile on his face faltering for a brief moment. Remy reveled in the flicker of uncertainty he saw there. "Don't be presumptuous, LeBeau," Alistair hissed, but the fire in his voice lacked its usual conviction.
Remy chuckled, a low rumble. "Presumptuous? Perhaps. But one thing's for certain, Blackwood. Unlike you, I ain't afraid to take what I want."
The challenge hung heavy in the air, a silent duel playing out between the two men. The other gentlemen, oblivious to the undercurrent of tension, continued their drinking and polite conversations. But Remy's confidence didn't waver.
Lord Blackwood straightened, a steely glint returning to his eyes. "Very well, LeBeau," he said through gritted teeth. "Cards it is. But be warned, I don't take kindly to losing."
Remy raised an eyebrow, unfazed by the veiled threat. "Neither do I, Blackwood," he countered, his voice smooth as silk. "Let the games begin."
The air crackled with unspoken tension as Remy met Lord Blackwood's steely gaze. The posh suit and practiced smile couldn't mask Blackwood's unease. A genuine connection with Miss Everleigh – that was Remy's ace in the hole, a memory that fueled his confidence with every stolen glance across the room.
Blackwood flourished a pristine deck, a predictable display of wealth that Remy countered with a practiced shuffle. Years of hustling honed his skills to a razor's edge. He could practically smell Blackwood's overconfidence, a scent stronger than any Ratafia.
The game unfolded like a silent duel. Remy's movements were calculated, each bet a weapon in a strategic game of cards. Blackwood, on the other hand, played with a predictable arrogance, his bluffs easily read by Remy's watchful eyes.
The tension ratcheted up with each hand. Sweat beaded on Blackwood's brow as Remy chipped away at his lead. The smug satisfaction in Blackwood's eyes dimmed, replaced by a simmering frustration with every lost trick.
Finally, the climax arrived. The last card was dealt, revealing Remy's hand – a royal flush that gleamed under the chandelier light. A triumphant grin spread across his face as he laid his cards down on the table.
Blackwood stared at the unbeatable hand in disbelief. A flush of anger colored his face as he slammed his cards down with a resounding thud. "This is impossible," he growled.
Remy, savoring the victory, offered a nonchalant shrug. "Jus' call it beginner's luck, Lord Blackwood."
Blackwood stood abruptly, his height momentarily giving him the upper hand. But instead of an outburst, a grudging respect flickered in his eyes.
"Very well, LeBeau," he conceded through gritted teeth. "You've won the dance."
The weight of the victory settled on Remy's shoulders. This was just the first move in a game far more captivating than any card game. Miss Everleigh might be a diamond of this season, but Remy LeBeau was determined to be the one who truly stole her heart.

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
❥ He can barely keep his hands off you when you lay in bed together. He loves how soft you feel, and he wants you to know it.
❥ If you're comfortable with it, he'd occasionally call you 'puddin' because your chub reminds him of pudding (and he heard someone call their significant other that once and it never left his mind, he thought it was adorable).
⤷ His favorite way to cuddle in bed is you laying back and him resting his head on your stomach while his arms wrap around you.
⤷ He especially likes it when he's resting his head on your stomach and you mess with his hair. He melts against you.
⤷ "Y're so soft.." He'd mutter as he rests against you and makes himself comfortable. Then the second your fingers run through his hair he lets out a pleased sigh, "Y're gonna make me fall asleep." He'd chuckle out, letting his eyes close.
❥ He likes to hug you from behind when you're standing so his hands can rest on your stomach.
❥ If you start to feel self conscious about your chub, he would absolutely start praising you relentlessly, trying to make you smile or laugh at how persistent he is.
❥ Loves to carry you around and make you feel light. Especially when you start laughing in his arms, he melts at that.
⤷ "You look beautiful t'me, darlin'. Absolutely beautiful. Wouldn't change a damn thing about ya, especially not your body. Y're soft and I love that, 'feels nice under my hands. I promise, y're breathtakin' t'me. Always have been." The minute he sees you smile he noticeably relaxes, "There we go. You feelin' better now?" And when you nod he'd rest his head against yours and pull you close, "Good. Can't have my puddin' thinkin' she's ugly or anythin' of th'sort."
❥ Absolutely gets defensive as hell if anyone insults you. That goes for insults about anything but he gets especially ticked when anyone mentions your body type in a negative manner. Probably punched someone over it once.
⤷ You'd look at him in shock after he punched the poor soul who dared to insult your form. He'd then look at you and his expression would immediately soften as he went, "What? I didn't hurt 'em that bad." He broke the person's nose by accident.

King of Envy - 1,184 Words [A03 Link]
Leviathan X Fem!MC
Tumblr media Tumblr media
This has become a rather common occurrence for you.
You found yourself pacing back and forth, huffing and complaining to no one, as you were fuming at what had just happened to you.
How is it that you are kidnapped, once again, as you stared angrily at the ornate carvings on the wall of the Hades Palace.
Foras offered his sympathy, as he locked you in this room with him to await for Leviathan to show himself.
Not enough sympathy to let you go, it seems.
He just watched you pace in the room, not offering much solace beyond his presents, since he knows there isn’t much he can offer in terms of comfort to you.
He has learned that there isn't much he can say to bring you calm in these kinds of situations.
He understood objectively why you have to leave Hades, and how jarring it can be to bring you back this way, but it had to be done in order to ensure your safety here in Hell!
No one else understood the dangers out there better than Leviathan, so Foras knew that this was for the greater good, even if it caused you anguish and discomfort.
Besides, he surmised that you were going to be elated by the surprise His Majesty has in store! Soon, all your anxiety will just melt away, and then you’ll stay in Hades here with them! No more having to travel in secret!
On your end it had felt like you had been in this room forever, and you were starting to get a little stir crazy as you sat down on one of the chairs and began to bounce your leg to try and keep yourself stimulated.
You can't even remember how many times your eyes have traced the intricate carvings on the walls, in fact, it kind of irritates you thinking about how something so beautiful will now be associated with something so terrible.
“Must you be so annoying?” A beautiful voice sung out, as the door to the room slammed open then shut, as Leviathan walked into the room.
“I haven't even done anything yet!” You spoke loudly, standing up as the king approached you.
He scoffed at your perceived cluelessness, looking down at your legs as if silently scolding you for the tapping you were doing earlier.
You just rolled your eyes, as you turned your body away from him, making sure to puff out your cheeks and jut your lips out in a pout.
He didn't appreciate that, as he clicked his tongue loudly while berating you with, “you're such a troublesome and ungrateful human.”
“Ungrateful?!” You huffed, turning swiftly to face him once more. “You kidnapped me against my will, and then made me wait in here with poor Foras for a very long time!”
You were very close to stomping your foot like a petulant teenager throwing a tantrum.
At your words, Leviathan's stare turned sour, as you flinched and backed up a little bit away from him.
You know Solomon said that you needed to match Leviathan's energy, but that felt like such an insurmountable task, especially considering he is the definition of “if looks could kill”.
“You dare question the King of Hades’ action?” He spoke, as you saw his hand twitch with a desire to see you hang for your words.
This was getting you nowhere.
“What do you want, Leviathan?” You asked, leaning against one of the walls as you looked over to the demon.
“His Majesty Leviathan wishes for you to have the honor of bearing his offspring.” Foras said, with a dreamy tone in his voice as he looked as happy as can be.
“Umm?” You hummed out, mouth agape as you stared up at Leviathan with a quizzical expression.
“Close your mouth, you look abhorrent.” Leviathan criticized, clicking his tongue again as he turned away in disgust.
You said nothing, as you closed your mouth, but continued your unabashed stare at Leviathan.
There was no denying that he was absolutely gorgeous- his hair looked so silky and smooth, his body was perfectly proportioned, and his skin was so flawless that it glistened in the light.
That's not even mentioning his incredible two toned eyes.
Any child of his would no doubt end up being just as breathtaking as he is.
You would just hope that they wouldn’t inherit his sour personality.
“Leviathan, what brought this up all of the sudden?” You asked, taking a step closer to him as he refused to look at you.
“Leave.” He spoke to Foras, who simply bowed and left the room without a fuss.
"Are you alright?” You asked, once the two of you were alone.
“Why wouldn't I be? Don't pry into other people's business.” He scolded, now looking directly at you as he folded his arms over his chest.
You sighed, rubbing your face in frustration, as you tried your best to communicate with the grumpy ruler.
He never made it easy for you, though.
“Leviathan.” You spoke his name softly to get his attention, as you walked up closer to him to try and take control of the situation.
Honesty is what was needed here, not hostility or anger.
“I am flattered you asked me, I've always wanted a family. Mine was taken away from me, so it's a little scary for me to be thinking about this now while we're in the middle of this angel conflict.”
You reach out to grab his gloved hand, as you hear him suck in a breath, as you kiss his middle finger.
You had no idea where this bravery came from, but you are going to roll with it.
“Let's fix Hell first, get rid of the threat that is looming over us, then we can talk about having a family.” You said, using your thumb to stroke his hand while you tilted your gaze to look up at him.
You could hear his sharp breathing, as he rolled his words over in his head to make sure he heard you right.
“I understand.” He said, keeping it short as he embraced you to him. “However, it still disgusts me that others wish the same from you.”
He was back, as he grabbed your face roughly in his hand, squeezing your cheeks to the point that it was painful.
You squeaked, as you felt him lift you up to sit you on top of the writing desk in the room.
“I can't- can't change that!” You tried saying, as you did your best to push him away from you.
“No, you can't.” He said, releasing your face enough for him to smash his lips roughly onto yours.
It didn't take long for him to turn sloppy, as he pushed your mouth open with his tongue, making you gag as he delved deep into your mouth.
“I cannot change how others think of you, but I can force you to only think of me.” He threatened, as he was grinding his hips into you.
You were going to be here for a while, it seems.

The song references this week! 😍
OMG!! I feel like we are back in 2010, when people would post cryptic song lyrics as their Facebook status, mostly as a sly little message to whoever they were crushing on at the moment. These two finding little ways to reference some very interesting and relevant songs in recent days. It’s so cute! ❤️
So Taylor wore a Shania Twain t-shirt last week with the song “Any Man of Mine” featured on the front. The lyrics of which talk about wanting a man that is proud of you, and who really gets you as a person and what makes you happy.
“Any man of mine better be proud of me”
“I need a man who knows how the story goes”
“He’s gotta be a heartbeatin’, fine treatin’, breathtakin’, earthquakin’ kind” 😏
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then, today Travis posted photos of his game day fit on Instagram with a caption “keep it chill like Sauvignon Blanc,” quoting lyrics from the song “Lil Boo Thang” by Paul Russell. (Also a favorite wine of Taylor’s, I might add 😁) The lyrics talk about finding a girl you think is amazing, shooting your shot, and basically saying like “I can be your man/I’m the one you’re looking for.”
“I’ll be shootin’ that shot like 2K, girl, I know”
“Tell ‘em I’m, tell ‘em I’m next”
“You a ten, baby girl, but I’m the one”
“Girl, you got me, I’m singin’, it’s like, Oh-ooh, oh-ooh, you got the best of my love” 🥰
Tumblr media Tumblr media
In conclusion:
I just find it very interesting that these are the songs that have been on their minds lately and that they felt like publicly referencing in a way they probably know the other will see/hear about. 😌😁❤️ That’s all!

A Billy Butcher Christmas 3/?
Hi! It’s my birthday 😌
Chapter 3
You slid your hand over his chest but you pulled away from the kiss before you could lose your senses, at least not yet. “Billy, this means so much to me. I wanted to make it special for you. If I could. But now you’ve gone and done all this…” You tugged lightly on his Santa hat.
"Aw darlin'...ya do so much all the time. Besides...it were fun surprisin' ya. Bet ya didn't think I had it in me. But I take in more than ya think sometimes." He smiled at you and darned if that dimple didn’t just make your heart melt.
You kissed him again, softly but letting him deepen the kiss a little, his lips soft and warm while you nestled a little deeper into his lap. “Oh wait!” You pulled back suddenly. “I got you something as well,” you grinned as you climbed out of his lap…much to his dismay.
"Hurry back darlin'...me best gift is havin' you in me arms." But you caught just a glimpse of the little boy he once was in a flash of excitement in his eyes and it made your heart flip. You pulled his gift out from under the little tree and settled back into his lap as you handed it to him.
It was a good sized box and even he had a little trouble holding you while he unwrapped his gift. He peeled back the paper carefully to reveal a white box and he quickly took the lid off.
“It’s a new coat,” you said softly as he pulled it out. “It’s exactly the same. And I thought maybe you would want to keep your old one but maybe this would ne nice to have too…”
He brushed his large hand over the fabric then pulled it out to look at. He looked at you, his dark eyes shining. "It's perfect darlin'. Me old one is gettin' a little worn in a couple spots. It's still got some life but I was thinking I was gonna have to start huntin' for a new one soon and...well...ya know shoppin' ain't me favorite thing. This is perfect." He laid it aside and went in for another kiss in thanks.
You slid your arms around his shoulders, melting against his chest. You were filled with warmth that was quickly turning into heat. Billy’s kiss was slow and soft but soon enough he deepened it, tightening his arms around your waist and flicking his tongue against your lower lip.
As his tongue slid over yours, his own taste was accented with the flavor of whiskey from a little earlier. It swirled around yours in a possessive slow dance and a promise of pleasures to come. His strong fingers slid into your hair and he tugged gently.
Sparkles of electricity went up and down your spine when he did that and you shivered deliciously. “Should I try it on?” You asked him softly, a little shyly, nodding toward the tiny little nightgown he’d gotten for you.
His eyes warmed and lit up. "I'd love to see it on ya, darlin'...I think the color will suit ya but I want to see it firsthand." He watched as you took it out of the box and held it up, looking over your shoulder at him with a smile.
You took it into the bathroom and changed quickly, setting all your clothes aside. The nightgown was very short, just covering the tops of you thighs, but it was very soft and you loved the color. You kept your necklace on and added just a bit of the perfume then stepped out into the bedroom to find Billy sitting on the bed.
His dark eyes heated up immediately as he took you in from head to toe. "God...your breathtakin' darlin' girl. You look sexy as hell in that Christmas red. Way better than the vision I had in me head even." You spun around for him with a smile.
You had to admit it was a little cold with only this and your necklace on and you didn’t waste anytime going over to the bed. Climbing up, you straddled his outstretched legs and sat on his thighs. “Do you want a band-aid for this cut?” you murmured. It actually looked like it was already closed up and fine.
"Nah, darlin'...I just want you," he said, his voice taking on a decidedly husky tinge. He pulled you into his strong arms and pressed you against his warm solid chest, nuzzling your neck sweetly. "Aw, ya put some of that perfume on, too." He stopped to breathe you in for a long moment.

Chapter Two
The next morning, Alastor arrives at the studio with Angel, and is greeted by Vaggie and Charlie.
“Morning, Boss,” they say in unison.
“Morning, darlings,” He says, his sultry voice cutting through.
“How was your evening,” Charlie asked, smiling as usual.
“It was…interesting. But good nonetheless.” He turns “What are you doing, Angel?”
Angel turns around slowly, trying to look as inconspicuous as possible. “Uh, Nothin’ Boss!”
“You’ve been here before, Angel.”
“I know! It’s still just breathtakin’ Boss.”
Alastor looked at Angel in confusion before resting his face. “Very well, then. See you in five minutes, darlings!”  Alastor teleports away with a moment’s notice and reappears in his little room in the studio. “Something’s definitely off.” He picks up his phone and calls Lucifer.
“Yello?”
“Hey Daddy,” he says, with a voluptuous voice.
“Alastor! Please. Control yourself.”
“I think you were right.”
“About?”
“Angel. He’s acting differently.”
“Differently how? Minus the ways you told me last night.”
“I brought him to the studio and he was gawking.”
“Well, it is pretty fancy. You’re welcome by the way.”
“Thank you, but that’s not what I’m talking about. I’m referring to the fact that he acts like he’s never been here before. Like he had just appeared in Hell.”
“Relax, babe. I’ll come over later so I can see what you are talking about.”
“Thank you. See you later, Darling.”
“Bye, Babe.”
Alastor came out of the little room and was greeted by Vaggie. “Boss, you good?”
“Yes, darling. I’m quite alright. How about you? How was work?” “It was fine. The men left me alone, thankfully.”
“Is everyone prepared?”
“Yes. Angel is waiting for you, but keeps laughing at us, saying ‘I can’t believe this,’.”
“So I’m not the only one to notice his strange behavior.”
“No. But we’ll leave it to you, Boss. You seem like you know what to do.”
“Not yet. But I will.” Alastor makes his way to the studio and sees  Angel, looking stunning as usual. “Angel, darling, are you ready to begin?” I say as I sit on my couch, in between Charlie and Vaggie.
“Yeah, Boss.”
As Angel performed, I began to formulate what to ask. “What's on your mind, Boss?” Vaggie asks, looking at me with a worry residing on her face.
“It's nothing, darling.”
“Are you sure Mr. Alastor,” Charlie asks me, same look over face as Vaggie.
“I’m quite sure.” With that, I noticed the slip-up Angel had made.
“STOP.”
Everyone looked at each other, then at me, worried and nervous.
“Angel. Come here,” I say for the second time this week. Angel walks over to me, fear in his eyes once more. “Angel, darling. I’m not going to hurt you. You realize this, correct?”
“Yea, Boss.”
“Then why are you so tense?” I stand up, walk behind him and begin to massage his shoulders. Angel squirming, began to relax, but was making the massage quite difficult . I summoned a tentacle to hold him in place so I could continue, but Angel got the wrong idea. He released a moan which startled Charlie and Vaggie. I released him and he began to fall, but thankfully, Luci caught him. I didn’t even hear him come in.
“Angel! You okay?”
“Sorry, Boss. I-it won’t hap-happen again.”
“Angel, darling. I’m not mad.” I kneel down next to him and Luci, and look him dead in the eye, shades no longer on my face.
“You-you aren’t?”
“Of course not darling. You haven’t done anything wrong.” Angel began to cry heavily as Charlie and Vaggie walked over to us, embracing him. Luci stepped back to avoid the hug and stood behind me. “So we know what’s wrong.” I stand up and turn to face him. “What is it?”
“I think he went through a traumatic experience. Maybe with a client.”
“Perhaps. I will look into it. Thank you, Luci.”
“Of course babe. But you owe me a date.”
“Very well. I will call you later.”
“Okay. Bye!”
“Goodbye, babe.” I gave him a kiss on the forehead and he turned beet red. He fled, looking as horny as ever. Then I hear Angel saying something. “You gotta be fuckin’ kiddin’ me! This was funny at first but now, it just seems like a twisted joke!”
“What are you talking about, Angel?” Charlie questions, looking at Angel funnily.
“What am I talkin’ about? The fact that y’all are putting on this whole act because I called Al a strawberry pimp!” Charlie and Vaggie exchanged glances of confusion.
“What are you talking about. You think this is a joke?” Vaggie asks, confused
“Hell yea I do! Al ain’t even one to tolerate this shit! Prude don’t even like being in the same vicinity! You think this is somethin’ Al would do!”
“What are you talking about, Angel?”  I ask, horns beginning to sprout.
“You all know I have ta go to Valentino!” “Who is this Valentino you speak of.”

non persona post?? My word she's gone mad (SPIRITFARER REVIEW WAOW!!!!) (Very long, I'm sorry) (But not really)
This review discusses themes of death, loss and terminal illness, as well as containing language. I swear a fair bit. Sorry, I typed everything as I thought of it, bad words 'n all.
Good afternoon,(it is 9PM in Ireland) fellas! Welcome to: SPIRITFARER- REVIEWED BY A TEENAGE GIRL WHO IS VERY NORMAL ABOUT HER INTERESTS!! Move over, IGN- it's the weird little guy in the corner (me)'s time to shine! I simply word-vomited this so unfortunately this review is very unprofessionally worded- however, I have faith it will be a fun read. I hope. Also, it's mostly spoiler free! ...I hope! I'm sorry!
So! Hi. I'm Luca. I have crippling thanatophobia. What's that? A phobia of death. And what's Spiritfarer about? Oh, baby. You aren't gonna fuckin' believe this! And, would you believe it, this game... actually helped me with that fear!
Currently, I'm only nine hours in, but. Well basically the damage is irreparable and I fear I shall never be the same again. Now, luckily, I have not cried. Yet. But I will! Oh, BABY I will!!! I have gotten five spirits so far (I'm coming for you, Gustav/threat) and have already had my first trip through the Everdoor. I wasn't ready. Come back, my dear. Please.
Spiritfarer is a game I've wanted to play for quite a long time, so to have been able to buy it about a month ago was one of the most exciting parts of my year so far. No, really! I was HYPED! HELL YEAH, THIS HAS BEEN ON MY WISHLIST FOR AGES! That kind of feeling. And then I started playing, and... hooooly shit. Guys. Dudes. Bros. What the hell. The VISUALS. WOW. W-O-W WOW!!! HOLY BALLS!!!
Look at this. Witness it with your eyes.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Bloody breathtakin'. I'm in tears. The game is absolutely chock-full of colourful (and not so colourful) locations, characters, landscapes... god, I'm so unwell about the visuals. And the ANIMATION!! AUGH! Every character has unique animations that just... oh they illustrate their characters so well. Augh...
Atul is nearly always happy, bouncy and smiley in his animations- a reflection of who he is!! One of his happiness perks is playing joyful music! He is literally just a guy! And Alice! Alice is a kindly old lady, and this is reflected in her design and personality- one of her animations involves dusting herself off, and I just think it gives the perfect image of a sweet elderly woman simply making herself more presentable. Also, she calls you dearie. What if I started bawling? What if I threw myself on the ground roaring and wailing?
Tumblr media
Another favourite of mine is Astrid. She's also a kindly old lady- but with sass. Alice is an absolute sweetheart, but Astrid? Astrid won't say no to a cheeky bit of gossip now and then...but shh don't tell anyone gossip is bad shhh HEY WANNA KNOW ASTRID'S NICKNAME FOR STELLA??? Munchkin. What the hell. I love that nickname. Wish I had an adoptive granny that would call me Munchkin. Astrid, my most dearest darling, how I adore you. AND she's pro worker's rights- damn, what a woman. Also, her eating animation is funny. Absolutely DECIMATES a sandwich, so she does.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tragically I will shut my yap about the characters now as there are quite a few of them and unfortunately I cannot put anyone through that (but know that Gustav and Daria also make me insane), so let's move on, eh? Who fancies a bitta tunes? I sure as hell know I do! LISTEN TO THAT! RAAAAAGHHH!!!! The music isn't a massive part of the game, per se- but it doesn't have to be! The music, of course, adds a pleasant ambience as you play- but it's not in your face! It's a nice, calm, beautifully composed soundtrack, with a special, unique little tune for every minigame. While I have no musical bone in my body personally, I am something of a- how do you say eloquently- whore for a good soundtrack. I love music, I love creativity!! Hooray!!
I actually don't have much to say on the music, but know that I do love it! But, I really really really want to talk about the themes of Spiritfarer... like, really bad.
Okay, so... I'm actually going to get into personal territory here, and it's going to get a bit heavy. If you'd prefer to skip over that, then please, by all means, feel free to skip down until you see red text.
So, there's another reason this game is so dear to me. And that reason is the fact that Spiritfarer actually helps me to process my own grief. While it didn't come out until four years after the loss of my older brother... it helps. And if nine-year-old me had had Spiritfarer at that age, I feel like she would have been able to cope better. I was unlucky- my brother passed away at 1AM, while I was asleep. To this day, I regret not being able to say goodbye... but Spiritfarer illustrates this in a poignant way- sometimes, we won't be able to say goodbye, wether due to extraordinary circumstances or simply... not realising how little time you really have left with someone. This brings me to the spirit I actually look forward to the least- not for any fault of his character, but simply what he symbolises to me.
I find myself dreading meeting Stanley later on in the game. Stanley, the youngest spirit you can meet within the game, is a lovely little boy of eight, taking on the appearance of a little mushroom creature. Nothing is wrong with Stanley, but... it's important to remember that every spirit is... well, a spirit. Someone who's died. And given Stanley is only a small child, it hits that bit closer to home. He is younger than my brother was upon his death, but he was still a child. While it isn't specified what illness it was that Stanley died from, I still see a lot of my brother in him. Spiritfarer does help me and bring me comfort, but at the same time, I'm not sure I'm ready to meet a character so close to my own experiences. The fact Stanley always seems so chipper and smiley despite his difficulties... does not help. Bit too similar, you know?
My relationship with Stanley is an odd one. I don't dislike him- absolutely not, far from it- I dislike the fact his character, a little boy, has to exist. I dislike that children like him exist in real life, and the fact I've met so many of them. It's a hard truth to swallow, and not one I'm fully prepared to deal with.
OVERALL:
I think this game can be enjoyed by everyone, even if you've never experienced grief. It's a beautiful story, and its gorgeous visual charm and cozy mechanics have something for everyone. You can fish, mine, cook, craft, and basically everything in between! Also, there is a hug button. You can hug people. Game of the decade. I love hugs! It's so... god. I just... really like the hug button, man. Oh, and did I mention you can play co-op?! If you have a friend you'd like to play with, they can join the fun as Daffodil, Stella's beloved pet cat! Look at him, isn't he gorgeous!!
Tumblr media
So, would I reccomend Spiritfarer? Short answer:
Yes.
Long answer: Yes, absolutely. It's an absolutely wonderful cozy game, with tons to do. There's no voice acting, but I don't think this game needs it- it tells an absolutely wonderful tale without it. Each character has a distinct personality and quirks- Summer is vegan and will adjust her diet as such, while Atul will quite literally eat anything you throw at him. Giovanni is brash, confident, and enjoys the finer things in life, whereas Astrid likes things plain and simple. And Daria? Daria just really likes fruit.
If you have an interest in Spiritfarer, I highly encourage you to check it out. It's available on a number of platforms (Playstation, Steam, even on mobile- although that's through Netflix, and also not very good. In my opinion, anyway.) I highly, highly, highly reccomend it to all cosy gams enjoyers, or even just people who like games in general. There's even little bits of platforming here and there, if you're into that! Do you yearn for the mines? How about becoming a woodcutter? Or maybe you just really like smelting. Well, excellent news- you can do all those things in Spiritfarer! The gameplay, music, visuals and most importantly of all, the story, make this game a highly worthwhile purchase in the long run. Chances are, if you like Stardew Valley, you'll like Spiritfarer.
Thunder Lotus Games has shattered my soul in ways I may never recover from- however, I am not upset about it. God, I bloody love Spiritfarer. This review took two and a half hours to type, I shit you not. God bless.

Sprout*Waning Hermitage - Sunday
One particular Sunday

Mika: --Ngh, Ngahh~...!
Shu: Non! You fool! Don't make such a weak-sounding noise!
It would be fine if we were in the dormitories, but you are the Mika Kagehira of Valkyrie. You have to focus on our taste and style, and carry yourself accordingly--
Mika: Oshi-san! The decorations for this set is breathtakin'! How much did it cost to make all this...?
Ah, scary...! Even thinkin' about it scares me...!
Shu: Don't think so narrowly. We, as Valkyrie, are idols who have accomplished great things. In addition, both me and Kagehira are both high-profiled with decent incomes as artists too. You shouldn't concern yourself with something this trivial.
Mika: That's not what I meant, I wasn't sayin' that we can't afford it, I was just thinkin', if we spend so much on a single new song, wouldn't the Vice President get reaaaally mad...?
Shu: Hmph, that's even less of an issue. No matter what that person says, we have no obligation to care.
Mika: But~... I get thrown sarcastic comments a lot percisely 'cause Oshi-san always acts like that~...
Shu: How foolish. So what if sarcasm comes your way? Simply disregard them as noise.
Mika: But, isn't Oshi-san the person who always cares 'n holds grudges over what other people say?!
Shu: Let's not discuss these meaningless topics anymore. Hurry and get set, Kagehira.
This plan and set are both of the highest art, and they are made for you, Kagehira. Simply immerse and enjoy yourself and focus on giving a spectacular performance worthy of this stage.
Mika: ...
Shu: ...
♪~ ♪~ ♪~
Shu: (Okay... The set might really be too over-the-top...)
(This backdrop was designed to be befitting of a showstopping tragedy, which is why it is so dazzling. Even after Kagehira changed the ending, the original design was still kept.)
(But, it all worked out in the end. It fit the image, whether intended or not.)
(The flower language of the Acanthus flower, other than art and technique, has another layer--life force.)
(Me and Kagehira, we've always been blinded to what we already have, it has always been so.)
(I suppose it's the same for you, no?)
(I'm sure you understand now. That kind of eternity isn't happiness at all.)
Tumblr media
Shu: (Although I do not know what has come of your spirit now...)
(But, that day, you chose to stay by Kagehira's side in a different way. Since this is the path you have chosen, I'll sincerely wish for your happiness.)
Mika: ♪~ ♪~
(Oshi-san, 'm really sorry for suddenly changing the ending. Although this situation is purely stemmed from my impulses...)
(My memory's been recoverin' little by little too. Now, I know why I wanted to change the ending after all.)
(Although the line between reality and dream is still kinda blurry, or rather, I still don't know if that was a result of self-hypnosis...)
(If it were a dream, those fragments of thought should fade over time. But, these experiences are more vivid in my mind by the day, so I'm thinkin' it was more likely the reality.)
(That doll standin' all alone in the dark, she's just like me from the past. Or, she is just like me if I had not met Oshi-san.)
(Because that doll was so much like me, I projected much of my feelings onto her, to the point I had a sympathetic love for her and couldn't ever throw her away... Even if it meant spending an eternity with her.)
(But, because Oshi-san said the things he did to me by my side, Oshi-san turned me... the me who was just an accessory in the past... into a livin', breathin', person.)
(That's how I was able to remember my dream. I was to be everyone's light. I remembered what I told those kids shrouded in darkness--that dreams are achievable, that ya can grab the stars out of the sky if ya wanted to.)
(So thank you, doll. Because of you, I was able to write this happy ending.)
(So how about it? Do you like it?)
Tumblr media
Mika: (Although I'll never be able to turn you into a real person... I really wanna be to you what Oshi-san is to me...♪)
(From now on, I'll never leave you all alone, ever again.)

It would be her birthday when the clock struck twelve and she wondered to herself how she would be able to control her excitement for the rest of the day. Papa would be held up in Ministry affairs all afternoon, leaving her alone to dwell in her thoughts and anticipation. “What a way to celebrate.” she whispered to herself, bouncing her legs as she sat on her favorite bench along the churchyard. “I wonder what he has planned.”
The autumn breeze carried the leaves along the cloister as Sister Saccharine trembled with excitement. A navy blue envelope held tightly to her chest, filling her with joy. An invitation from Copia to meet tonight at the main staircase, when the moon it’s at its highest in the sky. Her breath halted at the thought. Her dearest Papa, asking to see her at midnight.
The reigning Papa and his demure sister of sin had grown quite close since his return from tour. The two of them, thick as thieves and practically inseparable at times. The ghouls enjoyed kidding her—saying if they wanted to find Papa, they needed only to find her first and there he would be. While neither would admit it, a romance had sprouted between them.
Something small, like a seedling from Primo’s garden, that was always present but overlooked unless one searched for it. Saccharine had been aching inside to tell him. To confess the truth of her heart to her Papa, but whenever the time arose, she couldn’t bring herself to utter the words. Maybe he didn’t feel the same? Would this ruin the friendship between them? All questions she asked herself which ultimately kept her silent. Pining for him, unaware of his own internal struggle with his feelings for her.
As the day dragged on, Saccharine counted down the hours, the minutes, and even the seconds until the time she would meet with Copia on the stairs. Her thoughts filled with imaginings of the surprise he had planned for them. When the time was finally near, she went to her room to change, donning her favorite dress. Frills of lace and such beautiful fabric, one she knew he would love.
She pulled her long brunette hair back with a bow. Gently patting on a bit of blush to the apples of her cheeks, before heading out the door. She bounced down the halls, her heart pounding away as she grew closer to her destination. When she reached the stairs, she saw from the corner of her eye that one of Copia’s rats, Rigatoni, had been quietly traveling beside her. “Well hello little friend, what are you doing here? Don’t you think Papa will wonder where you’ve run off too?” she giggled, the little rat climbing into her cupped hands. He seemed to nod in response, eliciting a smile from the excited but anxious sister.
Suddenly the sister felt a gentle weight placed on her shoulder. Her breath halted as she heard the familiar voice of her Papa. “Mia dolce, you can understand them too?” Copia beamed as Saccharine turned to face him.
“Oh Papa it's you!” she delighted, a smile spread wide across her face. Her pink tinged cheeks, lifting upward toward her eyes. Eyes that sparkled in the light from the stained glass window atop the stairs. The moon, truly shining with its full glory on that night.
Copia looked so handsome. His military style jacket worn over his favorite peasant top and gold embroidered vest accenting his shape. While his tight threaded pants, left little to the imagination. The sight of him alone enough to make Saccharine flustered. He had little Gnocchi on his shoulder, her and Rigatoni, two of Saccharine's favorite rats.
“Sweetheart…Sei bellissima.” Copia praised as he spun her around. He looked deeply into her eyes, taking in her beauty as if to commit it to memory. She was breathtaking and there was nothing he wanted more than to spend this night beside her.
“Papa, you asked to meet me?” she asked, noticing the intense look in his eyes.
“Sí, I have a surprise for you.” he smiled, taking her hand and leading her up the stairs. Saccharine’s heart fluttered away like a million butterflies inside her. Where could he be taking me? They reached a large pair of old doors, covered with deep engravings of Luciferian imagery. Saccharine ran her fingers across them, feeling the rich craftsmanship and sensing the history beneath her fingertips as she waited to see what Copia would do next.
“Papa?” she began before Copia interrupted by taking her hand.
“Sweetheart, please call me Copia.” he insisted, Saccharine nodding as Copia opened the doors. As they creaked open, the sound of their movements echoed into the room before them. The doors, opening wide to reveal their secret. She could hardly believe her eyes—the Ministry ballroom.
She had heard of it before, the siblings recanting tales of parties and celebrations past. When the third Emeritus reigned, he had thrown them often. Splendor and enchantment, promised to all who attended these soires. Such stories filled her with a longing–that one day she would see it for herself, and that day was finally here.
Saccharine walked in, Copia following closely behind her after shutting the doors up behind them. It was so much to take in. The room was massive, the floor covered in black and white checkered tile, that spread as far as her eye could see. The ceiling was decorated with elaborate chandeliers, hundreds of candles awaiting their flames. The towering windows that lined it, allowing in the full luster of the moonlight, filling the room with a hauntingly beautiful glow.
“This night is for you mia cara.” Copia smiled, “Tonight we dance, a celebration of your birth. The day Lucifer graced this worldly plane with someone so perfect as you.” he said, the words igniting inside her.
“Oh Pa–Copia, it's so beautiful.” Saccharine cried, the tears falling from her eyes as she turned away, shyly attempting to conceal them. Copia kissed the top of her head and lifted her chin up to face him.
“May I have this dance sweetheart?” Papa asked her, his gentle hand outstretched to her. The shy sister took his hand, Copia smiling as he placed his right hand on her shoulder. The two of them began to waltz around the room. Rigatoni and little Gnocchi, watching on as Copia spun Saccharine around. Whirling and twirling as the two of them giggled away.
Copia was quite impressed. The sister was a lovely dancer. Her movements, fluid and elegant as they continued their dance. "You're fantastic mia cara, and you dance marvelously!" Copia praised her, his infatuation with her present in his words.
"T-thank you Papa you make me blush…" She replied, feeling her heart pounding harder within her chest. Before she knew it, Copia had spun her around, holding her in his arms as he dipped her down and stared her deep into her eyes. Saccharine's own eyes widened in his gaze, her emotions flooding her inside.
"Ah…ah…" Copia stuttered as he saw her reaction. The unsaid truth between them had begun to seep through to the outside. Copia pulled the sister back up, letting her go and staring down at his shoes. He felt awful for having overstepped his boundaries, maybe he had misread her, all the little things he thought were tells, meanless. A narrative only created within his mind. "...mi dispiace principessa. I forget myself." He apologized, shifting where he stood, so worried he had upset her.
"Papa." The sister said softly, placing her hand on him. She could feel him trembling a bit, nervous and unsure.
"Please Saccharine, Copia." He asked her, unable to look her again in the eye. She lifted his chin, forcing him to face her. Saccharine took in a deep breath—this was it. The moment she'd waited for, she had to tell her Papa how she truly felt.
"Copia. I have something I need to tell you." She began, swallowing back the knot in her throat.
"What is it?" He asked her, a hint of hope in his tone.
"I—I'm in love with you." Saccharine confessed, the words leaving her lips so fast but leaving her feeling like the weight of worlds lifted off her shoulder. Copia grew quiet for a moment, Saccharine patiently waiting for what he'd say. Before she knew it he had lifted her up into the air, spinning her around and bringing her lips to his. Their kiss, feeling more blissful than anything either of them had ever experienced before.
"Sweetheart. I love you too. I've wanted to tell you for so long, but I was so afraid that I was wrong about how you felt. That it was too much to ask Satanas to bless us with something more. I was afraid I would lose you as a friend." Copia confessed. Their heartbeats, synching as he held her tightly within his arms. The sister nuzzling her face against his chest.
"I will always be your friend Copia...even now as something more." She promised.
"I'm glad." Copia said, squeezing her.
"Oh...Copia, can I ask…how could you tell?" Saccharine asked him.
"Tell what mia dolce?" He responded, still unwilling yet to let go.
"How I felt?" She asked him.
"It was something within your eyes." Papa smiled, bringing his lips back to hers. Copia and Saccharine danced the night away. The hours, feeling like time held still for them. A precious moment between them as dawn took control over the night. The two having confessed their feelings and a new chapter unfolding between them in the fading moonlight.
