OK, it's kinda funny for me to see how, because of the II Movie, many people are sorta...reinventing PayJay for themselfs. Not in a way of more people shipping them/more people creating fan-content with them (although I think these points are also true) but rather people reinventing their dynamic and finally realising that they're not just a simple sappy gay couple/hotel owners, but rather a couple with very messy and unstable relationships and lack of a communication within them, who obviously care about each other, but still not being able to solve their problems just because of the kind of people they are (Paper is soft-spoken and avoiding confrontations and OJ is too self-centered to notice). And same with me lmao!! I kinda liked PayJay before, although my love for them was mostly caused by great fanarts created by the fandom rather than canon material. And still I wouldn't say they were my faves possibly because of lack of their appearances together post season 1 except for comics. BUT NOW. I'm genuinely intrigued by what the Adamation crew decided to do with them in the future. And yay, messy gay people are my favorite type of gay people, so it's a W for me/hj

I've come to a crucial realisation

Can we please talk about the fact, that "Goodbye" by Bo Burnham is basically MePhone's signature song rn, ESPECIALLY after II17? Because I need to talk about it

Thinking about possible fanfic/au idea, where Paper after the end of second season decides to leave Hotel for a while to develop his own self-identity outside of his life with OJ, and OJ, living without Paper for the first time in almost a decade, realises how codependent with him he actually became and how much of his mental state were tied to Paper being by his side. Both of them learn to live without one another and find their own separated support systems and when Paper eventually comes back (because, still, all of his friends live here, duh) we're both self-sufficient but still appreaciate each other's positive traits and now are able to form functioning healthy relationships...

OK dudes, I think it's time to be rational here

This is not a finale. It's just can't be

And not because I dislike it, but because logically and storywise this finale just doesn't make sense

It doesn't make sense for the contestants to just kill themselfs, there was no reason for them to do so without any outcome out of it

It didn't make sense to even have hotel survivors (aka Paper, Taco, Mic and Box), because they didn't affect the story anyhow. It could be just MePad and nothing would change IF IT WAS ACTUALLY A FINALE

It doesn't make sense to conclude MePhone story like this when his story was about him finally reflecting on his past trauma and facing his abuser

It doesn't make sense to leave any other question like "Where's Bot?" and "What will The Shimmers do now?" unanswered

Yes, I now ONE's ending exist, but there's two important things to remember

1. Even though ONE's ending is open, it still concluded its story. If TNCOTO is a finale, it concludes NOTHING

2. ONE and II are still extremely different stories with different themes and narratives, and therefore they are just incomparable

Adam, Brian and Justin are storytellers. They've been writing II for more then a decade. And I just can't believe, that they will throw it away like this

Also, while we're at the topic of the "survivors"

I've been wondering about them and why specifically this combination of characters have been chosen

I think the RGB trio may pull out some kind of a plot, where the survivors could try to find the rest of a cast who have been X'd, so they could get out of the "utter nothingness" Bow has been talking about together, because we need to remember, that Marshmallow, Paintbrush and Apple are currently the only ones, who know Bow's tail story or, what more important for us, know how to escape this place

My only problem here is that for me it's not really clear who could go after who. The only characters it's obvious for are probably Paper, Paintbrush and Suitcase (Paper would go for OJ and maybe other season one exclusive contestants like Bomb, Salt and Pepper, Paintbrush'd go for the Bright Lights and Suitcase'd go for the Grand Slams). Both Knife and Taco are connected to Pickle so it's not clear who is a pick for him. Mic probably would try to find Soap (if she's even dead??? Because the Adamation Team is totally cooking something with her disappearance) and also maybe other season two debutants like Trophy, Tissues, Cheesy and Cherries? Although I think Cherries could as well be assigned to Paper and OJ. Not sure about Ying Yang tho. And also not sure about any of season three contestants. I mean, an easy pick for them is Paintbrush, because they're the only one out of survivors (well, aside from Box) who has competed in season three. But I think some characters like Clover and Tea Kettle could be assigned to Suitcase's task because of their connection to Nickel and Baloon. Also I have no clue what Marshmallow and Apple could do because they don't seem to have any connections with anyone aside from Paintbrush, Knife and each other.

Sorry for a lot of rumbling, I just overthink a thing that a lot of people are confused about

OK so

I've been in my overthinking mood and now I'm wondering

In III episode 7(?I believe) Candle did some aura readings. But now, when we now, that all of the contestants are artificially made by MePhone... How is it even possible? Candle could recognise, that Bot doesn't have one, because they're a robot (duh), but the rest of them? Does it mean, that MePhone can create aura too? I'm kinda confused, but also interested...

On a side note: Does MePhone have an aura? I mean, he's a robot too, so probably no, but then it means that something without aura has created something with aura... OK, I gotta stop it
