The Breath of GOD
Once GOD created everything for the first six days, He decided to create a man not only in His own image but in His likeness too (Genesis 1:26). Lord God formed man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostril the breath of life (Genesis 2:7). The man became a living being when GOD breathed into him the breath of life.
So, can we say the breath of life is the “Breath of GOD”??...
Yes!!
Genesis 2:7 undoubtedly says that GOD breathed His very own breath into man.
The breath of GOD gives life to man. But how?
Job extends his words and says “As long as my life is within me, and the breath of God is [still] in my nostrils, my lips will not speak unjustly, nor will my tongue utter deceit” (Job 27:3 & 4).
What is Job talking about? What does he mean by “breath of GOD”?
Job is describing the Spirit of understanding (Isaiah 11:2) who gives understanding in our hearts. So when we think more about these scriptures, a question pops in our mind “Do we have this Spirit of understanding in us from the very beginning of our life? From the first ever beat of our heart?”
Let’s see more scriptures.
Elihu (a youngster who came to visit Job with his other three friends) adds, “But there is a spirit in man, and the breath of the Almighty (that) gives him understanding (Job 32:8)”.
So, it is obvious that we have the very breath of GOD which is the Spirit of understanding in us from the time we were given life by GOD in our mother’s womb.
[ Therefore, if the breath of GOD is the Spirit of Understanding, then we can say the Spirit of Understanding is the “Spirit of GOD” as in Isaish 11:2 ]
Let's once again take what Job said “As long as my life is within me, and the breath of God is [still] in my nostrils, my lips will not speak unjustly, nor will my tongue utter deceit” (Job 27:3 & 4).
Job has given a very big revelation in these words. The Spirit of understanding helps us to keep away from unjust and deceitful words. Our lips speak what our hearts are filled with. Our heart is filled with what we meditate on. If we are meditating on deceitful worldly things, it is going to reflect on our words.
But, when we are filled with the Spirit of God, He will help us to discern and understand in what way we are falling short and strengthen us to win over it. This is what Jesus Christ told in John 14: 25 “He will teach you all things”.
Now let’s come back to our question of “How the breath of GOD gives life to man?”
The breath of GOD is the Spirit of GOD (as of in Job 32:8 & Isaiah 11:2), He will convict us of sin, righteousness, and judgment (John 16:8) to make us live with GOD for eternity to come. He will make us understand the significance or the impact that these three factors have in our life on earth and eternity.
GOD knew that man would fall from the very first and have kept His Spirit in us to keep us away from the enemy and death.
All GOD wanted for us was life and He gave His only begotten Son for us on the cross and His Spirit in us to make us reach home (Heaven) safe and sound.

Breathe on Me / Ezekiel 37
What image can convey desperate hopelessness and unlimited flourishing at the same time? I wanted to capture the potential for truly restored humanity in all its fullness, even after our individual and communal failure. Nothing can beat a valley of dry bones for the epitome of lifelessness. What is the antidote? According to Jewish prophet Ezekiel, only the breath of God.
So I made Breathe on Me.

It’s 25″ x 30.5″ and machine quilted. The bones are images printed on fabric with my inkjet printer and then dyed with tea to age the background. The breath of God can only be hinted at, but oh, how we still need it!
“Son of man, can these bones live? ... Thus says the Lord God to these bones: Behold, I will cause breath to enter you, and you shall live. And...you shall know that I am the Lord.” Ezekiel 37:3-6

“The very breath of God is in you.”
“For the Spirit of God has made me, and the breath of the Almighty gives me life.” Job 33:4 (TLB)
“Then the Lord God formed [that is, created the body of] man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and the man became a living being [an individual complete in body and spirit].” Genesis 2:7 (AMP)
“One day the Eternal God scooped dirt out of the ground, sculpted it into the shape we call human, breathed the breath that gives life into the nostrils of the human, and the human became a living soul.” Genesis 2:7 (VOICE)
God loves you so much because He was personally there when you were born and He breathed His breath into you to make you come alive. He is invested in you in every breath you take.
“Great is our Lord, and great is His power: His wisdom is infinite.” Psalm 147:5 (GNV)

I grew up with incense sticks burning in the house regularly, dhoop, if you know it, distinctly Indian, smoky and rich. It usually set the tone - no matter what else was going on, it time to settle down and chill out. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Maybe that’s why this fall and winter, I’ve been pulled towards incense-based scents. They’re grounding and calming. @lushcosmetics Breath of God is a no-brainer. It’s smoky woods and incense but also lemony and earthy. It’s at once transportive and grounding and assertive. It definitely reminds me of Indian dhoop, but that’s because of the cade oil in it, which I normally don’t like but it has a bit of a garam masala quality that works here. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ I’ve had this little 10ml forever but I’m going through it pretty quickly, and then it’ll be time to upgrade to a real bottle. I’m thinking I’ll actually do a side-by-side wear and see how the two versions compare. Mine is over 10 years old… #lushcosmeticscanada #breathofgod #incenceperfume #fallscents #perfumecollection #dhoop #gorillaperfume #lushperfume #lushfreshhandmadecosmetics https://www.instagram.com/canadianbeautydotcom/p/CXFdkCiLbMO/?utm_medium=tumblr

There (soul realm) everyone knows that God is All in all, that it is in His Consciousness we live, move and have our being. We know therefore that His Consciousness is our consciousness and what life we have is His life; and consequently that all of His Wisdom, Power and Love comprise our very nature; that from His Consciousness—what you would call the air—is supplied everything we need. For do we not breathe in that air—the Breath of God’s Love, do we not live in it? Then is it not our life? – Paper No. 44 (Prove Me Now, Saith The Lord) by Anonymous (JSB)
