Since I write SFW content and for minor-aged characters, I do allow minors to interact with my blog ON THE CONDITION they interact with SFW content ONLY. I will block accounts belonging to minors if I find/it is brought to my attention that they interacted with anything outside of my SFW content. If you don't like this policy for my blog, feel free to block me.

5. Be respectful with your DMs.

My DMs are always open if you want to chat with me. I only ask that you're not creepy/disrespectful towards me. You can ask me for writing advice, how to Tumblr, talk about a post/request! Do be patient with me when it comes to responding! I promise I'll check my DMs as often as possible.

6. I have my own life!

This is a silly little thing for me to do to relax. Don't make it stressful for me, please! Sometimes, I'll say when I'll be taking a break; sometimes, I won't. I have a life outside of my Tumblr blog, and things come up that I can't ignore, even if I want to spend the day writing something to post. Please be patient with your request being completed or for me to post another part of a series you like. You can also DM me nicely to see if I plan to write anything you're excited about soon or to make sure your request was actually sent to me.

7. Respect my request status.

I open and close my requests as I please. The amount of time they remain open or close varies on how quickly I get requests and complete them. I will always have an updated status on my requests in my blog's bio. was reading recently about the "to be lawful or good" trope (follow orders/respect rule of law, or do what's right?), and it occurred to me that western values are so idealistic on the matter that "good" is almost always chosen, and a character who believes the law is the greater good is usually painted as morally dubious and hypocritical. tvtropes points out that in the parallel "to be chaotic or good" dilemmas protagonists almost always choose chaotic. i guess that makes sense from the point of view of fiction as wish fulfillment, and the ideal world for an american is one where they can do whatever they want without consequences.

psycho-pass is a really good example of media where this does not happen. anime in general tends to be more respectful of "lawful" values, sometimes to excess from my own western point of view (too many anime i've seen, workplace abuse is "dealt" with by learning to work harder). but urobuchi at least has a nice concept of what a balance can look like. (spoilers below, of course).

akane tsunemori is the most lawful good character to ever lawful good. she has constant positive intentions, cares for everyone in her society, and does so by enforcing and interpreting the law - and would not have it any other way. there's an amazing quote from her near the end of s1 (i have not seen the later seasons):

"People have always detested evil and sought out a righteous way of living. Their feelings, the accumulation of those peoples feelings are the law. They’re neither the provisions, nor the system. They’re the fragile and irreplaceable feelings that everyone carries in their hearts."

when faced with "to be lawful or good", she never once gives up on the law, no matter what. she has at least two chances to kill a dangerous villain outright and rejects both as being against orders; when the law itself tries to ensnare someone she loves, she finds a way out by following the rules instead of just breaking them like any other hero would.

dungeons and dragons kind of threw the alignment system at players and told them "you, there, interpret this". it's difficult and a lot to ask. from the little experience i have with it, most players only care about good/neutral/evil, and as for law vs. chaos they're just treated like different flavors of ice cream. it's far more compelling to treat them as equally important - a lawful good character and a chaotic good character are as far apart, morally, as a lawful good and a lawful evil one.

psycho-pass s1 doesn't have a chaotic good character. the closest it gets is kagari, who could perhaps be called chaotic neutral (though i have trouble calling any literal cop chaotic, he was essentially forced into the role). but it does have a fantastic example of a chaotic vs. lawful conflict, just on the evil side - makishima vs. sibyl.

i think where i wanted to go with this is that part of maturity is learning that two people, or groups of people, who are fighting, may very well both be righteous, and talking it out is often not a solution. i think most modern politics is like this, but that's just my feeling. there are some fairly evil people around, to be sure, but the vast majority of people are not - and recognizing that those different from you are in some ways righteous, and that you yourself are in some ways capable of evil - is really a critical sort of humility.

i might be a little too thrilled with myself for having realized this so early - i was the only kid in my class who liked "lord of the flies", and i still do like it. tumblr used to really have a thing about hating it back when the audience on this website had an average age of 16. i hope those people who insisted "but i'd never have grown up to do anything bad" have learned better since. but looking at how many older people (including apparently most writers) haven't gotten the memo, i'm not too sure.

INTRODUCTORY POST:

I don’t expect this blog to get much attention, but tumblr is a quick and simple format that I know I can use to archive this campaign. To begin, hello. If you’re following me thanks so much. I only hope what you see here is interesting and inspires you to make your own materials for D&D 5e. If you have a good grasp on the rules, I recommend giving homebrew a try, even if it’s just a fun item or a busted feat. 5e is very good for custom content, and when it comes to our imaginations, the sky’s the limit.

So, about this campaign. I was driving with my wife and a friend when my friend mentioned how cool it would be if we were all bugs. I agreed and added “oh that would be a funny D&D setting—what if you were a party of bugs?” and we all got a good laugh, and I have basically not stopped thinking about it for two months.

I did things the classic way: I started with a map, decided who lived where, what happened recently to establish The Way Things Are, and what kind of bugs will be the ones to change things up. Then, I leaned into the hyper fixation, creating a potent blend of custom races, somewhat game-breaking items, and definitely game-breaking feats. I gathered 4 of my favorite people together to answer the question “What can I do to make it look like you’re going crazy up there like a little bug?” The players were limited to North American insects, and chose a Beetle, a Mantis, a Bee, and a Cricket. Details on classes and backgrounds will arrive after Session 0.

And that’s how we got Minisculia! It’s a smattering of bug city-states and kingdoms, located entirely within the backyard of an abandoned house, somewhere in American suburbia. 10 years ago (basically like 500 years ago in Bug Years) the Golden Alliance of the Hive defeated the foul Apocritan Wasps in a devastating conflict called the Last War. Now, as a result of the Treaty of Convergence, the two powers keep to their territories and common folk enjoy a tenuous peace. But not all is well. Reports of Red Ant raids in Black Ant territory terrify the peasantry, and have the guards clamoring for action. The Good Queen Bezeera has decreed any adventurers who solve the problem shall earn their weight in Pollen (our stand-in for gold), as well as lands and noble titles. Investigating the crisis will be the party’s unifying goal.

To keep the game itself simple, I ruled that for classes, backgrounds, spells, and equipment we’ll be using the 2014 Player’s Handbook and nothing else. I’d describe the plot as a delicate mixture of a Bug’s Life and Game of Thrones—several factions are vying for power, and most of them are loose collectives of different cultures or military arms of small kingdoms. All of them are bugs, however, and all of them cling to what little power they’ve scratched out for themselves in a big, dangerous world. Will the party join in that unending political game, or will they bring change to the Scattered Kingdoms once more? Time will tell!

Also I’ll be posting bad art and usable 5e content here. Playtest it, tweak it, criticize it for being too strong, ignore it, do whatever you like. But I’ve made too much NOT to share, you know? Like I said up top, I hope you at least find what I post here interesting. I’m excited to play D&D with my friends more than anything.

Feel free to ignore this - it's just some uncharacteristically melancholy musings about the past that I needed to get out of my head. Everything's fine, don't worry.

I've been going through my archive from the early days of this blog and just. So many people have deactivated since the season one days. I know some of them remade and are active now but more are just gone. I feel like I'm seeing ghosts.

If you're new here - things are better now but they were pretty ugly in the beginning. This blog really only exists because I got so damn frustrated with the negativity and fighting and I needed to channel that into something a little more positive. A lot's changed since then. Friends deactivated, bullies moved on, but I'm stubborn so I'm still here.

It was weird coming into this fandom at first. I've been on tumblr since 2011 and to say I've seen its ugly side is an understatement. This blog is relatively small for me but I have another that... well, let's just say I get hate mail there on the daily. Coming into the SW community here was the ugliest I've ever seen tumblr. I won't call the whole fanbase toxic but there were definitely a few people who were and unfortunately they were organized and extremely loud about it. They tried to drag everyone into their war and if you tried to stay out of things, that made you a target.

A few of them are still around. They've moved on to other things but every once in a while I break my own cardinal rules and check in on a few of their blogs. They don't seem any happier than they did back then. I'm sad for them. It looks like such a miserable way to be. The fans who stayed definitely seem happier than any of the bullies ever did.

I wonder about the fans who didn't stay. I like to think they just found somewhere more pleasant to be and they're living good happy lives now and don't give much thought to the old days. But I don't know. And with how bad the bullying got back then, I worry.

If anyone I don't know about remade and is reading this - please don't feel like you have to tell me. If you're happy and safe, that's all I care about and if your privacy is how you've managed that, I'm okay with not knowing. But I think about you - even if we didn't know each other back then. I think about all the fans who've disappeared. I hope you're doing well.

I don't know what I'm trying to say. I guess partly I just wanted to say goodbye to everyone who left before I could tell them. I guess I also wanted to say that bullies might win battles but they don't win wars. We've lost good people but the fandom is still here, still going strong.

This blog is for anyone who's ever had someone else try to tell them how to experience fandom or to stay out of it entirely. People who would say that are miserable and the only thing misery loves is company - so much so that it will go to great lengths to create more. Pity those who would rather spread their misery than accept joy.

I don't care who you are or how you identify or what your politics are or what you ship or how long you've been in fandom or what someone else thinks you've done. If you ever need someone to talk to, my inbox is always open for you. I promise you aren't bothering me.

I've been revisiting youtubers recently. some I like under the cut

Folding Ideas: a marvelously well-spoken social and media critic, with commentary on symbolism in film. his breakdowns of the editing failures of films such as Suicide Squad and The Snowman are entertaining and informative, and he has mini-episodes on narrative concepts like Thermian arguments (the Watsonian of Watsonian vs. Doylist explanations) and ludonarrative dissonance. politically on top of it (mostly), extremely astute, and a pleasure to listen to. Ariel Bissett: a delightful young Canadian book reviewer takes us on her journey of renovating her old house. mostly cosmetic changes rather than structural as she's essentially self-taught, but she's a charismatic and charming host with a unique eye for style and color. her design sense matches closely with my own (we're both Monet fans), so I find her videos very soothing and satisfying to watch. I haven't seen any of her book reviews, but she seems thoughtful and passionate. I like all her house videos, but particularly the three yearly house tours so far (intro video, one year in, two years in,), Building The Perfect Guest Room, Complete Office Renovation!, Living Room Renovation To Look Like Emma's House!, Building The Perfect Reading Nook, Transforming the Smallest Room In My House With Wallpaper, and honestly all the others. it's a real pleasure to see the changes she makes over the months. I can't wait for the kitchen redo!

Accented Cinema: probably my favorite youtuber right now. he's a Chinese Canadian filmmaker with a focus on films and film-making processes, both his own and those from China (most often) and other non-American countries (occasionally). his videos have brought me to tears more than once. honestly I love too many to list all of them so I'll just list my top favorites but I highly recommend this channel. I loved Why China Cared About Kung Fu Panda, Shadow: Adapting Chinese Art, Who Killed Captain Alex: What Makes a Movie Good?, Chinese Animation: In Search of a Style (brief shot of mdzs donghua at the very end), Why Ghibli's First 3D Looks Soulless, East vs. West: Differences in Story Philosophy, Mahjong & Crazy Rich Asians, Why Are Kung Fu Movies So Patriotic, How I Made a Fake Video Essay

Local Script Man: a professional screenwriter whose advice and commentary on creating stories is really interesting and different than what you tend to see on tumblr. he tends to be kind of harsh but not in mean-spirited way, just in a way that makes it obvious that he knows what he's talking about. I like Oops No Plot, The Key to Writing Freakishly Good Dialogue, and both parts of 5 Essential Storytelling Rules I Just Made Up (part 1, part 2)

Schaffrillas Productions: a guy breaks down and ranks various animated films, often by studio. these videos are just a lot of fun. I liked his videos on the Shrek franchise (one, two, three, four, and the musical), and Raya vs. Encanto - How One Message Failed and Another Succeeded

Super Eyepatch Wolf: this man is, as we speak, convincing me to read Berserk. he has a slow, dramatic presentation of his arguments that draw you in and a great sense of humor. All of his "Why You Should Watch" videos are interesting even if you don't have any plans to watch the show he's describing, because they give an overview of the themes and strengths without spoiling it. he also presents a wealth of information on manga/anime history, and miscellaneous commentary on other media. I liked in particular The Fall of The Simpsons: How it Happened, "Non Battle" Battle Anime, What Makes A Fight Scene Interesting?, The Impact of Dragon Ball Z: The Series that Changed Everything, Why You Should Watch Yu Yu Hakusho, What Makes A Good Character Design?,

Cinema Therapy: these two guys are charming and sometimes funny. they can get annoying and their analyses tend to be very superficial, but I really like their videos tearing into bad romantic cliches. I remember joining the SAHcon discord server once years ago and got bored and left. I'm so out of the loop what is it exactly?

It's suppose to be like a virtual convention, where people can talk to other fans about Homestuck, join in panels to post their question so that people can respond to it on the livestream, and commission artists. Of course, if you want to personally talk to other attendants, you can also join in VR Chat, where they will host a virtual con to do just the same as in Discord, but VR. Of course, in the Discord, you can't do things like send images, GIFs, or links to prevent spam. So any art or videos you want to share with friends have to be through DMs. Certain times like the showcase, they lock the Discord and the only way to community others is through things like YouTube chat or Facebook. Because not many people know how to use Twitch streams. Most of the conversations you will see will be about headcanons. June being trans, Vriska x Terezi being the best lesbians, someone who thinks Pickle Inspector from Problem Sleuth is a trans fem.... that kind of stuff. Rarely anybody talks much about the plot of the series, criticism against certain parts in the narrative or character development, nobody questioning about the state of the Hiveswap and Homestuck 2, and basically everyone's kissing each other's asses. Say any disagreement and mods will be on your ass. I can understand not talking about political topics or adult humor at times because minors will be around and some likely have lied about their ages, but considering Homestuck and Hiveswap are both mature series, it's a question why the hell they are there in the first place. But yeah, that's what basically SAHcon is and I am damn surprised I had not been banned in that server whenever they do host it. And if people say I need to be banned because I like incest ships or proshipwhatever on my Tumblr/Twitter account, they can't exactly ban me for that if I'm not directly breaking rules on the Discord server itself. Haven't been on the VR Chat side of things because I don't exactly own a VR headset. I know others can join without it, but I kind of like the immersion at times with it. It probably is more exciting and better there with the same rules. Just be careful when it comes to public screenings that they do host up on there. You'll get that one funny troll that screens MLP inflation when nobody notices. Because letting the public screen whatever they want is totally a safe idea lmao.

I was legitimately confused about this for a bit, then I realized you’re talking about,

this, right? Unsurprisingly, Edelgard Critical don’t really know the... you know... the rules of TV tropes, so they break the rules and get upset when punishment lands.

Here’s some education for you: you can’t edit war on TV tropes. That’s one of the things the mods crack down on hard and fast. If somebody makes a post you disagree with you’re supposed to talk it out, not just keep deleting the passages. TV tropes isn’t your own private Tumblr, it’s a public website that tries to have accurate information.

I was warning inuconan that if they tried to edit war with me I’d take it up with the mods and get them suspended, as I’ve done successfully with two other Edelgard detractors who fucked around and found out.

PLATFORMS YOU’VE USED : I started in YouTube comments before Google bought them out if you believe that. I used forums for a while, then Rolepages (I have no idea if they're still up), skype, then I started on tumblr in 2014ish.

BEST EXPERIENCE: All of my eras have had ups and downs, to be honest. I've had some absolutely fabulous partners and plot threads, but my favorites are probably a few ships I had in the Alice in Wonderland and Les Miserables fandoms. The AiW fandom ended up imploding and Les Miz died down after a while (to be fair, I also lost muse) but I cherish those threads.

RP PET PEEVES/DEALBREAKERS: Dealbreakers are repeated rule-breaking, attempting to coerce me into playing something I'm not comfortable with/don't want to do, and the "everything proof shield" flavor of godmodding are dealbreakers. I know there are always going to be power disputes, especially in fandoms like LoZ where we're dealing with big G God powers, but threads in which a muse is always impervious to everything (even if their weakness is not something my muse can reasonably do!) is exhausting. My biggest pet peeve is not respecting in-universe reputations for canon characters. I used to play a lot of villains and, while I know you do need some conflict between muses for a lot of good threads, it gets really tiring trying to come up with excuses why an immoral, powerful muse wouldn't just sentence someone to death if they annoy them enough (Yes I'm talking about the Queen of Hearts, no I haven't gotten over it). I've found this is most common with villains but it can also apply politically or with interpersonal relationships cough cough Carlotta Guidicelli cough cough

FLUFF, ANGST OR SMUT: I do enjoy angst, but the older I get, the more I really appreciate warm fluff. I like smut from time to time, but it depends on the muse

PLOTS OR MEMES : Either are fun!

LONG OR SHORT REPLIES: I don't write as long as I used to, but I do still prefer paragraph form replies unless it's for a crack thread. I don't use icons, so I find that one-liners get difficult for extended threads.

BEST TIME TO WRITE : I'm usually better at writing in the morning, but I can't usually communicate at length until after 6ish CST. I often write before I go to work or over lunch, but always feel free to hmu! It may just take a bit to get back to you.

ARE YOU LIKE YOUR MUSE(S): I believe there's a little bit of the author in every character they write, but with my current trio it's a little bit like the ego, the superego, and the id. Stanna's closest to the ego in the sense that she's balanced, but her temper flares and she has. So much drama with her family. Nabooru has a lot of my anxiety and the put-upon "I don't want to be in charge but I guess someone has to be and I'm the only one left standing" attitude is very me. A lot of that is frankly me venting about my own job. Urbosa is aspirational for me in a lot of ways. Her confidence, self-assuredness, and her gifted speech are all traits I wish I had. Urbosa and I also have very similar romantic tastes, with our taste in women being "women." Her gender presentation also resonated with me, as a woman who still likes to dress fairly femme, but takes the "masculine" role in romantic relationships.

Hello everyone and welcome to a sort of experiment and possible outlet for all of us in the Tumblr fanfic community, for both readers and writers of all kinds, to say what's on their minds and chests that they don't feel like they can say upfront.

I am a reader and writer myself for various fandoms but I will not mention or promote my blog here since this whole thing isn't about me. I got this idea after I found that I had some things to say as a reader and writer that I didn't feel comfortable sharing without some form of anonymity to prevent awkward situations. So I've decided to take the step and offer the same to everyone else.

Let's Lay Down Some Rules

You will confess via the inbox where you can then select to be anonymous and then make your confession. If it’s not anonymous then I will not post it because the whole point of the confessional is anonymity.

Don’t say any actual hateful and bigoted stuff like racism, religion, sexism, etc etc. We will also not talk politics here. This is a confession blog for fan fiction, politics are not even in the same area code as fan fiction (unless it's fan fiction about politics). All that is completely irrelevant. Also, this place is for everyone meaning many people from many fandoms may come and confess things from their own respective fanbases. So no shaming other fandoms. If I find someone breaking this rule then they will be blocked.

This blog is sort of a way for both readers and writers of fan fiction to get things off their chest and maybe even learn a thing or two from each other while feeling safe to say them without the awkwardness of them recognizing one another. That being said, this is NOT a gossip blog, we don’t spread gossip here and never will. You can keep that to yourself. All gossipy submissions will be ignored and sent to the void.

For simplicity I will be referring to my character as squid-dude and using they/them in the rules list, but they have many nicknames (no actual name yet) and they use just about any pronouns because they are an extension of me and are just as gender fluid as I am.

(do not try using current events to justify your islamophobia or antisemitism. That is a horrendous thing to do when war crimes are being committed on children in the name of colonialism)

3. Please go easy on the Politics! Squids can only understand so much! He does love talking about good news though! (This is 100% only for my own benefit, I can only stand to think about the dangerous mess of my countries politics, and the actual genocides going on right now for so long before it sends me into a doom spiral. I know it's selfish, because there are people right now who don't have the ability to step away from what is happening to them. But I also have a really hard time believing that anything I do online will have any positive effect in stopping the rampit suffering we are seeing unfold right now. It is not a brand of hopelessness that I can stand to dwell on very often.

I swear I am boycotting and donating and writing representatives and protesting in real life- but I really, really need a place where I can pretend that the real world doesn't exist for a bit and it's with squid-dude. Do not mistake my silence on this Tumblr blog specifically as a passive complacency with current events- please)

4. Squid-dude doesn't like fighting! They have a soft little body and would do terribly! They will not get into fannon discourse with you because fandom is supposed to be fun! (But they will talk to you about the things they like if you are nice to them)

5. Please be nice to squid-dude! They are trying their best! Using any slurs around them will get you kicked off the beach! (You will be blocked)

6. Squid-dude doesn't want broken robots rusting on their beach! Spam bots will be kicked out!

7. Squid-dude has many tentacles, but they can only write so fast! They will try to answer your ask as soon as they can, please be patient with them!

8. Squid-dude loves horror and spooky friends, but don't go making messes on their beach! Keep it sfw and don't do excessive gore!

9. Sometimes squid dude needs a break! And they will return to the ocean to takes naps at the bottom of the sea floor! (Sometimes I can get overwhelmed by nothing in particular and may close my ask box, it will be temporary I promise)

Thanksgiving: Chapter 13

(TUMBLR EDITION EDITOR'S NOTE: I belatedly discovered that Tumblr does not maintain line breaks between the websites. I apologize for any previous difficulties making sense of what was going on that this caused. I will correct for it going forward, but I'm not going back and re-doing every single post so far.)

Kathy always wanted to be special. Which is weird, because your family basically owns the local county, and between politics and money she was already a local celebrity just by being born. For some people that's not enough. It's never enough.

You knock on her door, and are shortly invited in.

"It's so nice to see you again!" She exclaims, "I swear, it's like you vanished into some alternate dimension after you got banished from university. I didn't even know they COULD banish someone, I thought it was only expulsion."

"In my defense," you shrug, sheepishly, "I had no way of knowing that priest was a papal legate when I-"

"Oof," she winces, "yeah, the inquisition was pretty lenient, all things considered. Anyway, what brought you home after all these years?"

"Dad's invitation."

"What?" She raises an eyebrow, "That's... he WANTED you back? Are you sure you're talking about dear ol' Dad? The man who blames you for the death of his oldest and still mourned son? Who watched you drown his ex-boyfriend?" You show her the note. "Well I'll be damned! Or you."

"Yeah, I suspect it's the latter," you admit, "I'm pretty sure I'm getting offered up to the spook on Thanksgiving."

"Oh, did you finally find out about that? Took you long enough. I had a bet with Bronwyn you wouldn't before you got possessed. I suppose I lose."

"I don't suppose," you ask, "you'd know any way to NOT get my soul ripped out of my body and hurled head-long into eternity?"

"Again, oof," And again, she winces, "Sorry, but as far as I know the rules are A) be alive, and B) be the oldest living descendant. Which means you."

"Well, what if I just leave?" You... actually don't know why this hadn't occurred to you, before now.

"I have, darling, absolutely no idea. By all means, go! I love you, truly, but I'd be okay with you never coming back if you were safe.-

"-But that said, if you need help? I am not the one to ask. I am, as dear daddy describes it, a 'useless socialite' who's only kept around because I can manage some of the smaller businesses while the real boss is busy. You want eldritch knowledge? Ask someone else."

You wish your sister a goodnight, and then go down to do something you should have done as soon as your mom's grave was desecrated- you leave. Or you try to, anyway, at which point you discover that leaving the front gate puts you in the forest in the back, by the graveyard.

A bit of experimentation later & you map out that you are quite trapped on the grounds. You have been very thoroughly cursed. Swearing at yourself, you run through everything that's happened, trying to work out who cursed you and when. You saw Father... huh. When DID you see Dad?

You remember that he was angry. Furious. That he's dying of consumption. You remember him being there. But... but you haven't actually SEEN him, have you? What the hell? Has he been holed up in his room this whole time? Then how did you talk with him? You KNOW you did.

You mentally add a note to look into that later, and decide to go back inside. It's getting cold out, and there's other siblings left to talk to. You decide to go see:

I am breaking my rule of not responding until the poll is done coz I dont want to assume anything but this piece is so much spot on.

You summed up Deruth in canon which is a person who is a coward, selfish, and borderline spineless even when things involved are the ones who supposedly love and cherish in his life. Like I dont begrudge anyone who wants a conflict-free life but that is not possible in human relationships and reality. Two major wonders of this fandom to me is how the hell he got married 2 times and begot children if this was his real personality. And be a political leader (whether he likes it or not) at that!

As I said, I wholeheartedly agree with your characterization of Deruth because he has been consistent and for his apologists out there, there are instances in canon which illustrates this.

I am convinced that he doesn’t like conflict or negative emotions and he reacts also very poorly when life upends his very privileged life, which also leads to a bit more extreme in my views of him.

As per your options

I said that I have my reservations about this because it puts Deruth in a sympathetic mode, which I am uncomfortable with because of his past and continuing actions and the feeling of the injustice of it all. It reminds me of those estranged parents placed in a vulnerable state and using that state as a ‘pass’ to ‘get their way’ aka force other people to do what they want so to speak despite their faults and mistakes. In my opinion, Og!Cale will be forced (as he was always been in his life) to acquiesce to a father who never stood by him because said father puts his personal comfort over him/his again, and again and again.

2. For this option, the result will vary depending on how og!Cale feels about their relationship if the said relationship is still existing at all. Again, doormat!og!Cale tends to blame himself unnecessarily because the moment to talk has been passed and way over.

3. Oh lord, it is Jour happening all over again. And we all know what happened after, don’t we? Also, give the kid a fucking break on his resting place. Anyone who spoils that resting place is bribed and a turncoat!

I think og!cale picked that nasty habit of distancing, opting for conflict-free things that turned him into a doormat of some sort. There I said it! I love this guy but he is an effing doormat to boot!

Sometimes, with Deruth, I don’t feel like we are talking about a grown adult – with spouses and children. He seems to lacking that unconditional love for his child that a lot of people attribute to him. If this is true, his bravado of family/familiar ties is certainly meaningless, a mask and lends more of him doing things for his own happiness.

I have a feeling that will end with another draft for me.

We all know that Deruth is currently incapable of actually communicating with his son. For reference, I believe that he has a strained relationship and with minimal communication for almost a decade (starting from when he lost his mother (8-ish) to his in-universe age (being 18).

My question is, when do you think Deruth will have the guts to simply initiate an authentic, heartfelt and open convo with his kid? Keep in mind that in the real world, 18 yrs old is legal and people are capable of striking on their own and are not obliged to keep in touch with their parents., Let's imagine that this applies to new adult Og!cale. And yes, no KRS coming over for this poll (sorry).

I wanted to include a 'Deruth in his last moments' option but I have some reservations. I experienced it and I felt there was some sort of obligation to talk to a person because they having a very emotional and kinda high risk moments to this scenario. Okay so for those just joining us let me explain this latest dance segment in the clown show

So during the Pandemic, back in the days of Big Dog the Clown being our Prime Minister and encouraging us all to go out and catch COVID because he thought that would make us all stronger, our Health Secretary was a terrifyingly incompetent humanoid blancmange called Matt Hancock. As with all of BlowJo's Cabinet, Matt got the job because he was absolutely fucking terrible at everything except being an oily sycophant. Imagine, if you will, they looked around the circus and saw, not even a clown, but one of the freaks in the freak show; not because he even fit the profile for 'circus freak', but because all he had to do was sit there and guard the bin or something equally useless, and that was all he could achieve (for about 71% of the time, and he would otherwise get distracted by candy floss, which he would try to eat by ramming it into his own nostrils and then get into a muddle and cry); and then imagine that guy is who they selected to be in charge of safety for the acrobat show, and called him Chief Safety Clown.

This guy.

So obviously Britain immediately generated one of the worst covid mortality rates on the planet.

But he didn't stay in position too long, because in the summer of 2021, he broke his own lockdown rules by, yes you guessed it, having a greasy affair with an aide in his Downing Street office and taking her on taxpayer-funded dates. And obviously, that was a big problem because the public were super furious with politicians breaking the lockdown rules, so Boris Johnson did the sensible thing and fired him LMAO LOL ROFL I'm sorry I can't keep a straight face, Boris Johnson said it was completely fine and he could stay.

But uh. Matt Hancock decided a lynch mob was not a scenario he'd planned for, so he resigned, and bumbling ham Sajid Javid took over instead.

So, that explains who he is. Now, his signature move is basically to just fellate whichever ringmaster will give him a job, because as you may have guessed, he certainly is not capable of getting a job otherwise, other than guarding the bin. So as the latest ringmaster auditions began, he immediately set about making little "Rishi is the Greatest Briton" badges and generally doing a really good imitation of Nadine Dorries, except for Sunak instead of Johnson.

...which didn't work because Rishi Sunak passed him up for a job entirely lol

So as far as I can see I think Matt Hancock has finally realised that the only reason he was given a job was because Boris gave him one for doing good cheering. I think he's actually spotted that no one else even likes him, because he's greasy and disgusting and also killed loads of people. So if he wants to get back into politics - or indeed if he wants to move from there into the lucrative world of after dinner speaking - he needs to build his public profile as someone who is likeable and doesn't kill a chunk of the country and doesn't have grubby wandering hands like moist prehensile plums.

So, he decided to go on I'm a Celebrity, Get Me Out of Here.

Except the thing is, "being an MP" is actually a job, and you are actually expected to pretend to do that job. I don't know how anyone else's jobs work, Tumblrs, but I personally am not allowed to just... go to Australia for three weeks without taking any annual leave and abandon the office, and also get paid to do so while still drawing my salary. And it turns out nor are MPs.

So there we have it, folks! It's going super well!!!!

But having the whip suspended means "expelled from the party until the matter is resolved", which means he is, as of now, no longer a Tory - he's an Independent. I imagine his constituents are delighted.
