Listen I love Claudia Donovan as much as the next person but they had the potential to make her so much more fucked up - and they were cowards for not doing it.

On one hand, I do think its funny that like, Artie *immediately* domesticated her (like fr, she went from kidnapping him with electrified handcuffs to wearing a blanket cape and playing chess in like....a week?), but also my god she should have been so much more fucked up.

Like we do get fair examples of her trauma responses (running away to fucking Switzerland when she thinks her safety is threatened, etc) but also I'm just. I dunno. I need more fucked up traumatised Claudia Donovan.

My multiversal timeloop AU where Penny is stuck, not only in a loop, but between realities too, desperately searching for a back to the home where she no longer exists! I had no idea how to introduce this so I used TS4 and procreate to make this image for the vibes :)

This AU has two parts!! Misdirected Request is a liminal sort of glitchy vibe where Penny tries to communicate with Ezra and Tammy through things she finds in the warehouse, while trying to discover the root of the loop, and the second part which I don't really have too many ideas for yet is Unexpected Return, where Penny is back! But the Horrors persist :D

was talking to some friends about my ricci bros murder mystery thing and I ended up doing some mild character analysis (?) of how they generally operate

silvio is a fucking goody goody. like idk how else to put it. rowdy he may be, yes, but silvio does NOT like getting into trouble. it’s far less risky and troublesome for him to just buy out whoever he needs to buy out, wade through piles of red tape and paperwork, and just sit and wait until he gets the results he wants. thing about him is he’s a very patient man (when it comes to his work) + he knows the value of time and information. he’s not gonna waste his money on things that won’t bring him profit, BUT he doesn’t mind putting people in his wallet if it speeds up the process a little. for the most part though silvio likes to keep his hands (and record) clean

emidio and valerio tho?? they’re dirty little bitches. especially emidio who’s immoral as fuck. emidio dont give a single fuck, he’ll steal, coerce, blackmail, endanger, and kill anyone and everyone he needs to for his shit. the only thing about emidio is he cares for his image, deeply, so he won’t do the dirty work himself, he’s gonna threaten others into doing it for him and then tie up loose ends so it doesn’t trace back to him (emidio’s a fucking scumbag idgaf about him)

rio….. kind of oscillates between his brothers; he’s not amoral like emidio, but he’s not completely patient like silvio is. if doing things the legal way does not yield results that are satisfactory or fast enough, he will do things the illegal way. only thing about rio is he won’t have others getting the info for him like silvio and emidio; rio does all the nasty work himself. not because he doesn’t trust other people (he doesn’t, but that’s not the point) but because if the only neck he’s risking is his OWN, it gives him free reign to do basically whatever he wants, which is really anything short of outright murder (as seen with how he had no qualms driving adria to her death)

actually i dont think this is character analysis, more just some observations and conclusions i’ve come to after reading how they interact and work with others in routes and events. do wanna tag @ominousjangling and @vioisgoinginsane as the resident silvio and rio enjoyers if y’all wanna like. add anything i may have missed or just offer your own thoughts but obviously you don’t have to hffjssgjdshjdgjkffgjj

just curious as someone who has watched recently.

it wasn't at all that it was cheesy (I love cheese) but mostly my deciding factor is like. It perfectly embodies the start of the girl boss era of misogynistic copaganda -- because if the cop committing extra judicial crimes against you and stealing ur shit (but it's justified to save you 🙄) is a badass woman, that's a win, right?

I just don't like the dynamic between the leads -- he's a slacker, she's type A, and she drags him into success because that's all women in any field are good for, right? making a man do the job he's getting paid more than her for? and then she somehow falls in love with him while parenting his ass? I liked it as a kid because I was the type A girl but like. damn send that man to therapy don't give him a woman to drag down with his mediocrity.

Artie is fine but he's like. a C or D tier mysterious old man. he's too grumpy, I like my old men full of bonhomie.

I love Claudia but that's because I love the actress, she was in Drake & Josh. Also I might have seen an episode or 2 of her ABC Family (Freeform) show, Stitchers? She also makes music !!

anyway if you want a show with the same premise only ~magic~ instead of sci-fi and only 1 cop involved, try out The Librarians, they're getting rebooted soon and it was written by the same people who did Leverage. Almost all of the Leverage cast shows up at one point because they were both filmed at the same time in Seattle.
