ME and SELF OBSESSION . . This was where I had my first coffee and breakfast of 2020, got up early in the morning, barely slept the last night as it was New Year’s Eve and decided that I should treat myself with a great breakfast. After all you don’t get to be in London every New Year’s morning. . . Took the earliest London Underground to Covent Garden Station and walked few minutes overlooking the the light arrangements on the street from last night, specially the seven dials junction. Everything looked to pretty. When I reached the Neal’s Yard Alley (which is mischievously difficult to find if you don’t pay attention to the sign boards), my heart skipped a beat. It’s such cute little alley with cafes, cute shops, pizzeria, small restored garden and dairy products shops. . . As I was early, I got a perfect window seat at this cute coffee shop called @jacobtheangellondon , this place is just amazing, with their great collection bakes and sandwiches and coffees. I took my sweet time to drink my coffee and eat my sandwich and was lost in oblivion, analysing my being, my future and laughing over my past. Sometimes you just need the Me Time . . BABY UTTAPAMS/CHEELAS Thick pancakes made up of a mixture of rice flour, gram flour and other vegetables. Recipe: I used left over dosa batter, added some gram flour to it. Added some finely chopped onions, potatoes, tomatoes, capsicum, carrots, ginger, green chillies and coriander leaves. Then seasoned it with salt, red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder. Brush some oil on a dosa tawa, and pour the batter making small pancakes. Flip it after it's slightly done in one side. Cover it so it's cooked from inside with the help of the steam. When done, you can serve it with sauce or chutney of your liking.
