Fuuta: The ones I don't particularly like are Shidou and Kazui, The old geezer duo.
See this is how you know Fuuta is an internet user: He thinks anyone over the age of 25 is halfway to death's door.

Day 1: Fav OC
It fluctuates over time (currently thinking about Free because her campaign is ending, currently thinking about Fennel because I've been chewing on a story/world idea for her), but someone who is always in the top ranks is:
Braze
Half-orc glamour bard from a nautical/pirate-themed campaign
She's catty, often lazy, and sometimes self-destructive. Cannot stand having obligations, but can unfortunately be pretty easily moved to sympathy for individual plights.
Tumblr media
Why?
She isn't a complicated woman and she doesn't have a particularly complicated story, but I got over-invested in the details of her backstory, so paid with the unfulfilled potential of her game being falling apart, she consistently has real estate in my brain <3
~ ~ ~
"Favorite?" Braze was almost too shocked to laugh. "I must be your only then. Am I going to be showing up for this everyday?"
Well, no. She was actually one among several.
Braze crossed her arms, unable to hide her surprise. She'd been partially joking, but she didn't think there could be a lot of competition. She thought of her tedious, demanding childhood, her slow, arduous progress as a bard, her reluctant and dangerous months at sea, trying to make sense of it.
"But I don't do anything!" she exclaimed. "I'm lazy - I hate moving the plot forward!"
Well, that's sort of why she made an interesting adventurer. Everyone knew adventuring was difficult (at best, and deadly at its worst), but there was usually some sort of reason for it. Running from something or running toward something else. Money or morals, wanderlust or fear. Among her own party, there was a drive for love, success, finding oneself, even just plain spite and chaos in Omisha's case. But Braze wasn't adventuring for any of those reasons, so it was interesting to tease out why someone with such ordinary, petty ("Hey-") motivations was here.
Braze bristled slightly. She certainly wasn't impressive, but she didn't consider herself particularly boring.
But it wasn't boring. It was impressive. Because she was depressed and homeless and never had a reason to believe that change was possible for the world, but helped people anyway. Bitching the whole time and making a great show of dragging her feet, but the point still stood that no one and nothing was making her do it.
The forced introspection was more than Braze cared for. She drew herself back, but still, she thought for the first time in a long while about her uncle. He'd be furious with what she was up to. Attention and enemies from all sides, and for what?
"Well," Braze rolled her eye petulantly. "What's it all for, in the end? Why do I end up doing it all?"
Sorry, we didn't get far enough to really find out. Maybe someday, though.

the name nyneve is beautiful
Thanks! It's actually the name of a character in TTAB!
Nyneve is an omniscient, reincarnating being who is one of the people in charge of running the universe. She seems like a normal teenage girl...until you get to know her. She's got a strange personality and doesn’t really prioritize the feelings of other people because she's more concerned about everything happening the way it should. She can't afford to consider what people want.
Tumblr media
I use her name online because she used to be my self-insert! I say "used to be" because the similarities between us are surface level nowadays. She's really her own character with her own personality. We just happen to look alike.

The radical Catholic priest, Daniel Berrigan, after traveling to North Vietnam with a peace delegation during the war, visited the hospital room of Ronald Brazee. Brazee was a high school student who had drenched himself with kerosene and immolated himself outside the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in downtown Syracuse, New York to protest the war. “He was still living a month later,” Berrigan writes. “I was able to gain access to him. I smelled the odor of burning flesh and I understood anew what I had seen in North Vietnam. The boy was dying in torment, his body like a great piece of meat cast upon a grill. He died shortly thereafter. I felt that my senses had been invaded in a new way. I had understood the power of death in the modern world. I knew I must speak and act against death because this boy’s death was being multiplied a thousandfold in the Land of Burning Children. So I went to Catonsville because I had gone to Hanoi.” In Catonsville, Maryland Berrigan and eight other activists, known as the Catonsville Nine, broke into a draft board on May 17, 1968. They took 378 draft files and burned them with homemade napalm in the parking lot. Berrigan was sentenced to three years in a federal prison.
