It's so funny to think, about one month and a half ago, I was planning to announce a raise in my prices for the next year (which honestly weren't that big, just rendered options)
and then this happened:
Tumblr media
ooooooh dino, but what does that mean???
it means this:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
it's both good and bad, because even if I get more money than before while you guys have a fair and accessible price, the general cost of things also grow more expansive (an RTX 4060 for example, the cheapest of its category, in US costs less than $300, here it's about R$2400, a 4090 can easily go above R$12.000; the avarage game debuts here for R$250)
My luck is that I live with my parents (not even gonna talk about house prices bc these are bad everywhere) and we split expanses in a fair way, but as I don't see dollar dropping anytime soon (the opposite, more likely) my prices for next year remain the same!! Hooray...?
also, can anybody guess the funny pun of why the dollar went up oh so suddenly by the end of november hm?
But yeah, either way if you can, consider commissioning Brazilian artists in general, I can assure you they will heavily appreciate the big support!

A man in Brazil stopped a robbery with a katana.
Tumblr media
As a Brazilian person, I feel it is my duty to occasionally bring to you wack news coming from my country. Lucky for me, about 2-3 weeks ago on August 13th, a man in Belo Horizonte stopped a robbery at his building by charging at the thieves with a katana. He has been dubbed “the samurai of Belo Horizonte”.
Here’s some real videos of the incident:
Here’s part of a news report on the incident from CNN Brazil. I did my best to translate it to English:
A man used a katana, a traditional sword used by samurais in Japan, to chase down a group of suspects who were attempting to steal bicycles from a garage in a condominium in Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais (a state in Brazil).
Alisson D’jean, who became known as the “Samurai of BH” [Belo Horizonte] went viral when the images won over social networks on Friday the 25th. The robbery attempt, however, occurred on August 13th.
In an interview exclusive to CNN, Alisson says it was his mother who first noticed the robbery, after hearing noises of someone breaking into the garage doors.
The “samurai,” who is a physiotherapist, reported the experience on his Instagram stories, and said he decided to act on his own accord after the military police, according to him, did nothing after three previous break-ins to the condominium [by the same suspects].
After checking the security cameras, the [fourth] invasion was confirmed. The samurai put on some clothes, grabbed the katana, and ran to the elevator, where he met up with the building manager [who was checking the security camera footage on his phone].
“I grabbed this samurai sword, a handmade katana, a weapon of war, really, because I didn’t know what I was walking into, I didn’t know how many [invaders], I didn’t know what kind of weapons they had,” reports the physiotherapist, who says he began using this type of sword almost 30 years ago.
According to Alisson, the decision was taken with the sole intention of protecting himself, his family, and the other building residents. “At no point was I concerned with the bicyles. I don’t even own a bicycle,” he says.
In the images, it’s possible to see Alisson and the building manager in the elevator. After getting out [of the elevator], the “samurai” begins running after the suspects, who, scared, ditch the bicycles and flee. No one was injured. In the days following this incident, no other break-in attempts were reported.

Can't wait for the QSMP members to have story time streams about their experiences in Brazil and how everyone got drunk and had to watch Foolish fucking Gamers absolutely tank it all- Doozers watched this man drink straight RUM with no ice, pour VODKA into an empty water bottle and proceeded to drink it normally with no chaser, and be fine after drinking it all. I can't wait :D

British journalists are so rattled by a small comment and it's genuinely hilarious. What do you mean Will Buxton went on a mini rant because max joked how no British reporters were present and they would if there was a British driver on the podium??

There is an American-Korean (note the order) representative in the Korean National Assembly named Ihn Yo-han, whose family arrived in Korea in 1895 as missionaries; his parents were deported to the United States in 1940 by Japan, but later returned, and he was born in North Jeolla and apparently speaks Korean with a strong regional accent. He's also a right-wing nut who thinks AIDS was created by people failing to follow the Bible, that the Korean national health service is socialist, and he's a member of Yoon's party, and voted against impeaching him. Just a really wild figure!
South Korea has three "special self-governing provinces/states," and I am really curious to know why those provinces (North Jeolla, Jeju, Gangwon) were granted special status. Usually when a national subdivision has some kind of special autonomous status it's because of some specific historical circumstance, or the presence of a significant ethnic minority, but I can't really figure out what the deal is with those provinces specifically. Unfortunately all three also have really awful flags.
Jeju Island has some kickass volcanic geography. Some decent photos on this page.

Random Fact #6,538
Brazil has no wolf species (beyond pet dogs or wolves in the zoo).
The maned wolf is not a true wolf, but rather its own unique kind of canid, and the only (living) member of the genus Chrysocyon.

this represents brazil way more than soccer and samba: clay water filter and electric faucet ☺️
we had one ever since i was a child, most of my mother's family used to own one of these (i once accidently broke one from my aunt lol) but at some point ours just vanished during a house renovation and we were using bottled water ever since, now after lots of convincing we finally got another one!!
i swear this is the best water you'll ever drink
