In my latest Hogwarts Legacy Star Wars AU brainrot today, I looked into the question of how Jedi Danny would survive Order 66. I ended up coming up with an action sequences where he uses his lightwhip and a speeder bike to escape.

Master Islwyn was out in battle on a Separatist-occupied plant. He and his clone battalion headed into a tunnel to secure the next area. They approached what was a checkpoint that seemed to be deserted. A squadron of CIS soldiers emerged from behind crates and containers to ambush them, catching them by surprise. The Jedi and his clone commander quickly took cover behind some containers while the troopers returned fire at the CIS squadron. It was a short but fierce exchange of rapid blaster bolts.

After all the hostiles were downed, the group was about proceed further down the tunnel toward their target when the clone commander suddenly unholstered and readied his DC-17 blaster - Danny overheard it and promptly disarmed him with his lightwhip. The pistol hit the ground and went off, the shot hitting a weak supporting pillar. It fell over and landed behind him and the commander, separating them from the battalion.

The two engaged in a hand-to-hand brawl as the tunnel started to collapse. The Jedi overpowered the commander with the help of his lightwhip. Unconscious, he was thrown over the pillar to his clones, who had no choice but to hastily retreat while leaving Danny to be crushed by rubble. Meanwhile, the Jedi quickly commandered a Flitknot speeder bike that belonged to one of the Separatist men and floored it.

Although the Flitknot was a fast speeder with good acceleration, it was still a race for Danny's life. The tunnel had just started to cave in, and it was catching up. It was going by like a blur as the vehicle was picking up speed. Boots deep on the pedal, the Jedi hunched forward, gaining momentum. The falling rubble was still reaching closer, threatening to devour him. It now inches away from his speeder. The light at the end of the tunnel had to be close. First things first I should clear up some confusion. I think you're probably thinking Will Everett III, not Will Everett II Will Everett II was never a superhero and was actually a very private man. No one in my line of work has ever taken an interview with him or Will Everett Sr's. daughter whose name was never even made public knowledge (We only know it was a woman because her child doesn't have her surname). I don't even have a picture of either of them to show you. Now both of Everett senior's children ALSO had a son apiece. William "Junior" Everett III and Markus Clay. As you stated, Everett Junior died in the line of duty serving with the Justice League Europe alongside the original Crimson Fox, Constance D'Aramis. I can, unfortunately, confirm his death. He's buried beside his grandfather in Valhalla Cemetary in New York where most of the rest of the All Stars and their children who have passed are buried... (TW below the cut, graves)

As you can see, though, the Amazing Man legacy does not lay abandoned. While William III was the son of William Sr. through his son, his daughter had a son of her own, a man named Markus Clay who was equally inspired by his grandfather's and then his cousin's example. As he continues to rise through the WWE ranks, this uncanny, second-generation Superstar seeks to bring new legitimacy to his craft. Here, Cody Rhodes expounds on finally finding his voice in the ring, examines what it would be to have a manager, excludes Honky Tonk Man from the list of greatest Intercontinental Champions and extols the benefits of anger. 

Tell us: What does the phrase “Smoke and Mirrors” mean to you?

To me, it’s kind of an indication of what the majority of my peers are. I think the phrase has to do with legitimacy; I think there are very few legitimate WWE Superstars in the locker room. I think most folks are “smoke and mirrors.” Whereas, I’ve been passed over for things, or at least, I’ve felt I’ve been passed over for things. I’ve been pushed to the side occasionally, but I have always popped my head out. 

Have you finally found your voice in WWE, and did you think it would take this long?

The mask was a unique thing, and I approached it in the right way. I took it in a different direction from who I really am. Right now, I feel like I'm the closest to Cody Runnels that Cody Rhodes has ever been. I don’t know if that’s a good thing or a bad thing because I’ve always enjoyed being a little out of this world as a WWE Superstar. Right now, it’s very close to him. I’m glad everything’s taken this long because over time in WWE, if I’ve gotten anything, it’s one word–angry. That’s a very very powerful thing, I was watching Star Wars: Episode I the other day, and laughing at the spot where Yoda’s talking about how anger leads to hate and hate leads to the dark side. Well, in WWE, the dark side goes pretty far. For me, it’s helped me to find what I think is the closest to my voice so far.

Where do you go to tap into that darkness?

You don’t have to go anywhere mentally to tap into the darkness. You just have to look around. I’d say that during the month leading up to WrestleMania, I don't really have to seek out darkness, when all I saw around me were those trucks with the same two faces on them–John Cena and The Rock–who both deserved to be there. I had no issue with that, but you certainly don’t have to go far and get angry and wonder, “When are they going to slap my face on there, and what do I have to do? I think I’m the one of the few talents in the company who doesn’t sit there and get made. After about five minutes of having a Sour Patch Kids face, I’m eventually going to ask myself, “Well, what have I not done to get there?”

We were wondering, do you practice that scowl, or does it just come naturally?

You mean the Sour Patch Kids face? I was a rotten child in every regard. Not as an adolescent or teenager, but as a child. I was a spoiled kid, and I believe that’s where it comes from. You know, that experience where you go to Toys “R” Us and your mom says, “We're just going to look,” or “You can pick just one toy.”

As someone who railed against the perceived tarnished legacy of the Intercontinental Championship and the title itself, what are your thoughts regarding Honky Tonk Man’s elusive record reign?

I had the esteemed pleasure of doing media with Jimmy Hart for WrestleMania, and I got a good idea of what it would be like to have a hype man more than a manager–somebody who essentially just tells the world how great you are. And it really did get me thinking a lot about Honky Tonk Man. I’d say that was a personal goal of mine, which I did not meet, only because Honky Tonk Man hates Dusty Rhodes. I’m not one to fight The American Dream’s battles by any stretch of the imagination, but I don't mind sticking up for the family every now and then.

Speaking of the family, as the son of a “son of a plumber,” how handy are you at fixing leaks around the Rhodes house?

I’m actually the only handyman in the entire family. Dustin will put a hammer or thumb-size nail-marks in drywall, and Dusty can’t fix anything at all. I’m the only one who kind of outsourced that knowledge when I was a kid. I went to my parent’s friends and learned how to cut down a tree or chop wood or mow the lawn or put up a fence or use a power tool. So I have my friends’ parents to thank for the fact that basically I can build almost anything.

Daniel Bryan has his “Yes!” chant going now. Any ideas for a Cody Rhodes crowd chant?

Well, I ride with Daniel Bryan sometimes, and I certainly had a smile on my face in Miami when we heard “Yes! Yes! Yes!” But even he admittedly has claimed that it’s kind of reascended him, and that he might even have created a monster. Just like the “What?” chant. I honestly think WWE Superstars want to hear their names chanted, whether they tell you they do or not, whether they act like there isn’t a redeeming quality or there is. And Cody is an easy one to chant. It’s only been chanted a few times, but hearing it certainly felt damn good.

Finally, despite losing your Intercontinental Championship to Big Show at ‘Mania, you’ve had a pretty successful last few months. You were one of the Sole Survivors at Survivor Series, and you eliminated more Superstars than anyone in the Royal Rumble Match. What’s next for you in 2012?

For a long time, I liked the idea of people not seeing me coming, but I’m at a point now where people have seen me coming. I’m not one to disappoint. If I’m on the radar now, I’m going to be a huge blip–and I’m not going to go away.

Also before I finish up I really want to thank everyone for the staggering amount of games my friends and family bought me this year. Money was tough so I was going to miss out on a lot of things I really wanted to play but without me even having to ask people came and got them for me and I seriously cannot express enough how much that means to me. I don't know if any of y'all are gonna read this but it really meant the world to me and I don't know if I even could've made a short GOTY list without everyone being so kind to me. I hope it doesn't sound like I'm bragging or taking friend's money but I just cannot thank you all enough for being so kind and generous to me at every turn even when I don't really have much to give back. Seriously <3

I didn't have any specific goals for what I wanted to play in 2024, but my resolution WAS to play less Fortnite and I did really accomplish that! In fact I basically only played for an hour or two and the start and end of the year and just didn't touch it for the rest of the year. It's small but it's a big victory for me after I wasted so much time on it in 2023 aha.

For 2025? I'm looking forward to properly sinking my teeth into more stuff like continuing my Full RPG series playthroughs with Pokemon Black&White and Final Fantasy 5. I also can't wait to play Fantasian, which I wanted to play in launch year but got so depressed I didn't wanna touch it until I felt better (which is now, I'll be playing it soon.) As well as maybe clearing out some games on my Steam and Itchio libraries. And I've also got my eye on potentially playing the whole Panzer Dragoon series. But we'll see how things play out!!

I think that's pretty much it for me in 2024! Here's to a wonderful 2025, let's give it our best!! I believe in you!
