This girl is amazing. My Ruby. She's 12yrs old and has arthritis in her knees and hips, hypermobility and recently diagnosed with hypothyroid. She's in constant pain and often only manages one or two days at school each week. She managed Monday and Tuesday (a miracle two days on the trot) and her guitar lesson last night (she is an amazing guitarist, practises every day, her teacher was in an 80s pop band 🙂). Today was too much. But even though she can't walk today, she's cracking on with school work sent to her via Teams. Tomorrow we have yet another hospital appointment (this one for her thyroid), so we are hoping she will get back into school on Friday. So, I want to give a big shout out to our brave kids, struggling with life changing conditions. Different storytime moods always call for a variety of different stories.
