Once Was Lost - The start of it all. I still “enjoy” the feeling that the inevitable approach to the gallows gives.

To Tame A Tiger - We are all miss Blaseball, RIV, and all that. I wasn’t as active as I would’ve liked, but I’m still proud of this piece, and how it gives a bit of character to an underrepresented player.

Future Past - While Once Was Lost is the start of things, this is where a little of the meat of the story starts coming into play.

Pulling Loose The Threads - Escalation is the name of the game here, and shows a solid link to the established canon, which I’m always wary about doing.

Holiday In Eorzea - Not just a Dead Kennedys reference! This is easily the most ambitious thing I’ve written to date, and it’s far from over. The sad thing in my mind is that it comes after a lot of other parts that are yet to be written. But sometimes, stories have their time and demand it.

I'm trying to lean toward youtube more lately, so have video links!

My 4yo is in a phase of asking me what songs 'mean' lately and I sort of boil them down, summarize the metaphors, etc. This one was a, "Well, kid... [insert 30 minute ramble]." Also that line, I'll weather your storms for the stillness in you, breaks my brain every time.

Mollymauk has a firm hold of my mind at present and likely for the foreseeable future. Taliesin Jaffe and his uncanny ability to create characters I have no initial interest in and am fully, wonderfully unhinged about by the end...

Spaces between the happiness and the hardness is a concept I'm working on atm. And always.

I've really only got the one active fic at the moment and one translation:

• ⚔️ Palimpsest: AC Odyssey fic featuring my little thought experiment of "what if Kassandra makes every choice in the game to piss off Brasidas, and also he survives Amphipolis"? I last updated in august and all of my best laid plans to update again more recently have been derailed by "work" and "lack of brain".

• 🦅 The Eagle (Translation): Sorry to AC fans but this has nothing to do with AC (although I suppose we can make anything AC-related if we try really hard). I am revisiting an English translation I did a few years ago of Shkaba by Ismail Kadare, an Albanian novel (his last, I believe) that has been translated into French (L'Aigle) but not yet published in English.

The rest of my WIP are on deep hiatus (Medea retelling for being preempted by an incessant number of Medea retellings published just this year; Oedipus retelling for being too bleak even for me) or nowhere near ready for public viewing even in draft form (Peloponnesian War novel, which I'm so excited about and also it's very overwhelming to think about).

⛰️ Children of the Mountain (ACO):

When Alexios had staggered to his feet after being thrown from Mount Taygetos, he believed himself to be the only one to survive. But stepping over the elders's corpse towards the bundle of blankets beyond him proved him wrong.  Nearly a decade and a half later, the relative safety they had found in Kephallonia was quickly vanishing. With Kausos burned to the ground and the cult having found them once again, the list of reasons to stay was quickly dwindling. When the opportunity to board the Adrestia and never look back presents itself, Alexios, with Kassandra and Phoibe in tow, takes the chance. 

🚫 Missing (Original):

In the ruins of an earthquake ravaged mall, a group of teens find an unconscious young girl. At the hospital she claims to be Katie Easton--a girl who went missing alongside her twin sister ten years ago. But if she really was Katie Easton, then how had she seemingly not aged a day? And what had happened to her sister?

🥀Lethal Dose (Original; Comic Script):

Annabelle is a private detective with some particularly questionable clientele--namely the Solanum family. When the family head is murdered, it was a natural conclusion for his son and successor to ask her to help solve the case. Annabelle might have thought the case was a good bit of fun, if only the primary suspects weren't leading somewhere a little too personal.
