Rebel Admirals Rex & Kalani from an au where the clone and droid rebellions were a bit more successful

Rex's fleet (rebel fleet Remembrance) - the whole 'ahsoka's not actually a jedi' thing worked and most of the 332nd got dechipped. (maul still escaped, but they managed to patch up the maul-damage before he got to the hyperdrive, so the Tribunal is mostly okay). the extra resources & manpower allowed the clone rebellion to operate on a much larger scale, and they eventually allied with pantora as a whole with the backing of senator chuchi. cody and later wolffe brought their imperial fleets to join the rebellion about a year later (after the chips started wearing off).

the fleet (one venator (the Tribunal), four star destroyers, associated clones, gunships, fighters, and tanks, plus a handful of stolen imperial walkers and shuttles) formally joined the rebel alliance around 10bby.

(rex got put in charge of the fleet because he's the least traumatized out of all the surviving officers. cody ran off to live with obi wan on tattooine.)

Kalani's fleet (rebel fleet Independence) - something happened and he and kraken managed to steal a chunk of dooku's ships (and later a good chunk of whatever was left of grievous' fleet on utapau) after his death. they essentially got lost in the chaos of o66, since the rest of the separatists thought they were deactivated after the shutdown order, and escaped with essentially a full separatist fleet. since they were active instead of stuck on agamar, kalani noticed that the leader of the empire happened to be the republic's supreme chancellor, and decided the empire was the new target of the CIS army. he later encountered the clone rebellion and decided that since the clones had effectively deserted the republic and were now fighting the empire, they were therefore allies.

Against all odds, we have survived. We're taking a university course now, because the government will pay us for it and we do need the money, but it has unfortunately been eroding at our sanity somewhat, and we are learning nothing that we don't already know. We are, however, getting money.

We have somewhat of a backlog on Discord at the moment, as it doesn't have a daily upload limit and also it's easier to stick things on while we are being told things that we already know by people who are phrasing in in ways we find significantly misleading or incorrect (note: we don't use apps for things the vast majority of the time and if we access Tumblr via browser it immediately fucks up our formatting on PC, which can last several months). We will, hopefully, be posting these soon, but all is dependant on if we can actually scare up the time between courses to conglomerate that and fix any formatting errors in thoughts and such.

If that will happen any time soon... good question! Every time that our work practicum teacher opens her mouth, we take points of physical damage, and we don't think she understands the fact that getting back after we walk to a place also involves walking. We've had a lot going on for a while now and very little of it has been good. We're on new meds, and if the gods prove merciful, we won't have to tolerate this particular clown show past March. If there is no mercy to be found, however, we might have to keep doing this until June, in which case you can probably expect the quality of this to take a sharp downturn as the short time we have already spent in this program is already having immediate and catastrophic effects on our mental health.

We do not recommend going to university in any circumstances, but we are unfortunately aware that it may be necessary to get such things as a fancy piece of paper saying you are employable. Additionally, we would tell you to calibrate your expectations for anyone with a degree lower, but apparently what we consider the basic level of knowledge you should know before saying anything on any topic is everyone else's "bachelor degree and a bit", so our estimations on what people think is a high degree of knowledge to have are probably also off.

Opinions on the best and worst vanguard pics in is3?

I've personally really liked Texas1 and Poncirus, but I'm curious if relicless or high waves change things

Vanguards as a DP-generating class are sort of weak in IS3 just because almost every stage has a slow opener and so they end up being unnecessary. DP generation isn't irrelevant but it's far from a necessity it is in other contexts (like IS4!)

Elysium and Cantabile are definitely the strongest imo. Elysium just provides a ton of really really useful utility in conjunction with his DP generation in a way where he is much much more useful than Myrtle. He synergies with snipers, which are incredibly good in IS3 (2nd best class after specialists), and his S2 is an incredible impactful ability, both in individual combats, as well as being really nice for things like duck/dog/bear.

(With that being said, I think while Elysium vs. Myrtle is extremely Elysium favored, making sure you hit specific hope thresholds is more important. If you get +5 hope next combat, 6stars cost 6 hope, and you're currently at 3 hope, if you take Elysium you'll be at 5 hope next combat and if you take Myrtle you'll be at 6, so you take Myrtle anyway.)

IS3 only has 2 maps that actually need DP generation, which are (at sufficiently high difficulties), the Ishar-mla fight and the Gravestone fight, and Cantabile is the best DP generator on these two specific maps (S1, place her down immediately. For gravestone specifically you have to place her on the tile 2.5 tiles right of Gravestone's spawn, otherwise she'll be in range), which is why I rate her so highly. While Ines can substitute for Cantabile in these fights somewhat (with S3), and Ines is generally better as an unit that combines DP generation, combat strength, and utility, Cantabile is far better than it really counts.

Honorable mentions:

Saileach. She does so much, and in a way that's really well-suited for IS3. Her S2 has the DP/s generation of Myrtle S1 but also heals and increases Def (I think it also works on enmity operators? Not sure about that) and it's generally her worst skill because she's just that goated. She gives your units 12 ASPD just by standing there and looking pretty. Her S3 is a mini, faster-cycle Suzuran S3 that also knocks down low-altitude hovering enemies. She's definitely only an unit you want if you have excess hope, but if you do she is phenomenally good.

Muelsyse. Her clones copy Survivor Contract/Chitinous Ripper buffs.

Vigil is definitely the worst vanguard in IS3 to no one's surprise. In my IS3 D15 relicless Lupoknights run I had the opportunity to pick Vigil while not needing the hope for anyone else and I skipped him anyway. <3
