Video transcript:
[Music] [Applause] welcome back to Vivid racing I’m Aaron and today we’re talking drag racing we’re talking about the spicy staggered setup the Big mey L Hoover 305 come alive this is drag pack 101 and by the end of this video you guys are going to have a solid foundation of what wheel setup to buy for your car whether you’re on the street or on the track or even both so first and foremost what is a drag pack technically speaking this is a term that Ford used back in the day however over time it has become commonly used to reference a lightweight wheel and drag tire package now on the front you will typically see a really skinny wheel setup these are called Front Runners or more commonly known as skinnies these will typically be about 4 and 1/2 in wide now the obvious reason for running these is weight reduction they’re quite literally half the size I have heard arguments that there’s more to it than just weight reduction but that is the basic principle here these really probably shouldn’t be used for daily driving considering they’re quite literally half the wheel of your traditional setup you’re going to run the risk of cracking a wheel from hitting a pothole due to how just simply how skinny they are there isn’t a whole lot of mass there to absorb the impact but the real risk is the lack of traction purely because there’s not much of a contact patch at all you’re quite literally getting half the amount of traction to steer your car so if you run into rain or inclement weather of any sort might get real spicy real quick but keep in mind for the daily drivers out there you don’t have to run a 4 and 1 12 in wheel on the front to get your drag packed look all the wheels I’m going to show you today all have great staggered fitment options to maintain skinnyish fronts now the biggest thing you want to look for when fitting the fronts is making sure you have a large enough Barrel to clear your brakes and spindles and everything else going on in there if you have like a six or eight piston brake kit with massive rotors you’re probably not going to fit a 15-in wheel on the front you’re probably looking a bit closer to your factory fitment which probably has like a 17 or 18in wheel that are typically 7 to 9 1/2 in wide unless you’re the Roll Racing GTR that’s four-wheel drive you don’t really need thick mey sidewalls on the fronts your goal is that you get just enough Tire on the ground to keep the car going straight with the least amount of rotational Mass possible often times you’ll even see people run the factory fronts wrapped in like a Mickey Thompson Street comp all right so that covers everything for the front so let’s move to the back where all that big meaty thickness is the overall goal here is to get a smaller radius wheel that opens up the wheel well for a big old meaty sidewall and to have that big old wide and thick contact patch you may notice that your atypical drag pack is going to have bead locks on the rear as well this is so you can run a really low tire pressure to let that sidewall twist and grip on launch without the tire actually slipping on the wheel this is the same concept you see off-road vehicles using to grip in the dirt but rather than using a big knobby mud or dirt Tire they’re using a big smooth drag radial or drag slick all said and done the recipe is a small radius wheel plus a thick contact patch plus a meaty sidewall plus an optional bead loock all of that together equals Maximum Traction now an example of why you want a really meaty sidewall is perfectly illustrated by Top Field drag cars when they launch obviously this is at a much greater scale than a street car but the same principles apply the twisting of the sidewall is the tire working to grab traction and it lets the contact patch do its job and grip the track and stops the Wheel from just spinning into a burnout drag races are often won and lost by The 330t Mark or even the 60t mark getting that launchd down is critical now the reality is 98% of all cars don’t really need a bead loock typically anything under 800 horsepower you don’t need a bead loock but if I’m honest if I could afford a good bead loock I would do it in an instant I just I love the way they look they just they do it for me now for sizing you’re generally looking anywhere from 15 to 18in wheels that are at a minimum 10 in wide but as my old man told me a 12-in wide tire is where boys become men just keep in mind clearances it is really easy to put on a 12-in wide wheel on your base C5 because they technically do fit but they rub in every possible way they even poke out quite a bit and next thing you know the fiberglass on your rear quarter panel is cracked from hitting a pothole at 80 Mi an hour if wheel fitments confuse you you’re not alone we have a bunch of Wheel fitment videos that cover all sorts of platforms that can help so make sure you check out some of our older videos If you’re looking to learn more about that but if you guys want to keep learning and seeing us compare different car parts make sure you guys hit subscribe and while you’re at it smash the like button also follow us on Instagram our boy Shane makes a ton of build content on a daily basis to get your build started and if that isn’t enough and you’re looking to go deeper make sure you’re jumping into Old forums and Facebook groups a good form can be a gold mine of information they are full of people who’ve either done it all on that specific platform or are currently going through and are just sharing what they’ve been doing with their car just buy or beware if and when you go to ask a dumb question cuz we all have dumb questions do yourself a favor and use the search bar first every form has a Search tool and every Facebook group has a Search tool as well it is very likely that somebody has already made a post looking for information about putting a corset exhaust on a Corvette so use the search tool before you ask so let’s compare a few different wheel brands that are popular among the drag racing community and as always links are in the description below along with a little discount code if you guys want to save a few of those Pennies on checkout at vividracing.com each of the following Wheels come in a standard wheel as well as a bead loock option for the rear so if you like one of these styles of Wheels but you don’t want the bead loock don’t worry that wheel is definitely an option to purchase so first up is an affordable cast wheel option we have the racar 92 drag series these are great for someone who is getting into aftermarket wheels but doesn’t want to break the bank these wheels technically retail for around $400 a piece but they are more often than not on sale for about $280 to $300 depending on the size of wheel out the door for a full set of these wheels you can expect to be around $1,200 they are a simple but classic five-spoke design that work on nearly any platform they pretty much always look good they make finding the correct fitment for whatever car you have a breeze their data catalog is huge now the biggest thing you want to be aware of with these rayar wheels is that you will need to use a shank style lug nut this is a trend in pretty much every drag pack that I’ve seen so far you are more likely than not going to need to get some shank style lug nuts if I’m honest the only real negative about these wheels is that they are cast wheel which isn’t inherently a bad thing but lightweight and durable and strong is the goal you certainly can go lighter and you most definitely can go a lot stronger but hey if this is what you can afford there is nothing wrong with that these are a great wheel to get the party started they’re not the fanciest thing in the world but they definitely work next up is where you get a bit more value but it does come with some extra cost the following three sets of Wheels here are flow forged meaning they are a combination of cast and forged wheel technology first up we have two offerings from weld we have the Laguna s17 which is a super clean design that I actually absolutely love this would absolutely be my top pick outside of going for like a super clean forged wheel setup now these retail for around $350 a piece all in all you can expect to be around $1,500 for a full set next we have the well Ventura s104 now in my eyes these are a direct upgrade from the RAR 92s that’s simply because they’re both of simple five-spoke design the Ventura s104 definitely has a little bit more premium look to it out the door a set of four of these wheels will cost around $16 to $1,700 once again based off of the size of the wheels you’re looking for and for our last flow forged wheel we have the forar D5 just another classic simple look you generally can find these wheels from $4 to $500 a piece out the door you’re looking at about $2,000 for a full set of these wheels now like I said these three sets of wheels are flow Forge aluminum so they’re going to be stronger and slightly lighter than a cast wheel like the RAR 92s but obviously they do cost a little bit more but I would argue that this little bit of extra cost is worth it in the long run flow forged wheels are probably where you get the most bang for your buck compared to anything else that we’ve talked about plus there’s a reason you see forg star and weld wheels everywhere in the drag racing Community they’re just a really good wheel but just like anything in life doesn’t matter how good something is something better will always come along that leads us to the top of our list the forged forg line cf1 RS these are a lightweight super strong forged aluminum wheels they come in at a spicy $1,500 a piece these are about as high quality as I guess some fitments are readily available but realistically these wheels are made to order with full customization this is the type of wheel you put on a 2,000 horsepower car that’s running deep into the sevens or even in the sixes in the quarter mile but if you want to fleux on your buddies at cars and coffee and be future proof for all the horsepower and tourque you could ever dream of this is your wheel one day when I can essentially double the value of my car by throwing a set of these on it rest assured I will absolutely make the poor life choice without hesitation if you haven’t mathed it up already a set of these wheels will run you about $6,000 and that’s if you don’t do any customization to them and for that price why not just go a little bit deeper and add a little on to get the perfect fit and finish so there it is that is drag pack 101 plus a few buying options to get the part already started now I really didn’t include any Tire fitment in this video because that’s its own realm of black magic and Wizardry so we’re going to cover that in an upcoming video so make sure you hit that notification Bell to know when it’s posted if you guys enjoyed today’s video definitely let us know in the comments but what helps us even more is if you guys use the links in the description below but that’s all I’ve got for you guys today thank you guys so much we’ll see you guys next time peace oh [Music]

The Masked Singer Season 2: Preliminary Guesses
I’m watching tonight’s sneak peek of The Masked Singer season 2 (which kicks off next Wednesday), and 15 of the 16 masks will have their first clues revealed tonight. Tonight I’m just going to give my own pre-season guesses as to who may be behind each mask. We’ll start going more in-depth when the season actually starts.
Skeleton: Stephen King?
Fox: No clue.
Ice Cream: No clue.
Eagle: Bret Michaels (mainly because of the bandanna)
Tree: Kathy Lee Gifford
Flamingo: Adrienne Houghton (née Bailon); former member of 3LW and The Cheetah Girls, currently a host on The Real.
Butterfly: Michelle Williams (from Destiny’s Child)
Penguin: No clue.
Leopard: Helen Mirren? Definitely sounds English.
Egg: Pat Sajak (he hinted at the “first and last vowels”)
Rottweiler: No clue.
Flower: No clue.
Thingamajig: Wayne Brady
Panda: Awkwafina (The Panda’s outfit looks a bit like those tracksuits that we typically see her in)
Black Widow: No clue.
As for the final mask, it will be revealed during the Emmys next Sunday.
Who else watched the sneak peek? Do you have any preliminary guesses as to who may be behind the masks?

― task one. counseling session.
cristina settles into the plush leather couch, legs and arms crossed defiantly, eyes moving from painting, to painting, to graduate psychology diplomas. she knows EXACTLY why she’s been called into the counselor’s office and no part of her’s looking forward to the hour-long grief session dr. lewis has planned for her. in fact, at this point, spending an afternoon with the windsors fighting over who cared about dante the most while she has to play referee sounds more relaxing. ‘ you know, my parents pay an expensive family therapist to do this every week. this isn’t really necessary, she mutters, her eyes finally meeting with the counselor’s, as he flips to a new sheet of paper to add to his cristina alvares DOSSIER. ‘ while i’m sure they get paid a lot more than i do, no part of that makes them any more or less qualified to talk this through with you, cristina, ’ he smiles, taking off the cap of an expensive-looking fountain pen, ready to write down any and all of her reactions. not that he’s going to get much out of her. no one ever does. ‘ i have to do this, don’t i ? ’ she surmises, her arms uncrossing slowly as he shakes his head, almost as a sign of defeat. a deep sigh escapes her and she settles more comfortably into the couch.
‘ so, cristina, can you tell me about dante’s death ? what happened that day ? what were you doing ? be as specific as you want. ’
without warning, the words seem to trigger her mind, which — for the first time in weeks — fights against the CHEMICAL HAZE she’s cloaked herself in. she sees it all, suddenly. the senior year celebrations. she and dante agreeing to take different cars to get to the party. meeting with ares in a dark corner of the host’s home, unable to be away from him for too long and unable to keep her hands to herself. drinking more than she should and feeling a certain sense of warmth envelop her. all before it came crashing down. all before someone screamed at their phone, a scream that’s been ECHOING in cristina’s skull ever since. ‘ his car crashed, ’ she replies, after what seems like an eternity, her brain still playing a poorly edited supercut of the evening, ‘ i found out from someone who’d gotten a text from someone else. and then my mom called. and then i left the house i was in. the rest of the evening’s kind of a blur. ’ the answer pours out of her like she’s rehearsed it, emotion lacking completely from her face. like a ROBOT reading a script. any more emotion and she knows she’d break down. something she can’t afford to do in broad daylight at school.
‘ where were you when you found out about his death ? you mentioned a house ? ’
she thinks back to the walls, covered in awards, trophies and medals. cristina had though for so long that her mother was perhaps the craziest in boston, only to realize upon entering dante’s teammate’s home that athlete’s mothers were far WORSE. every inch of their home was decorated like an odd shrine to their son and his lacrosse achievements. it was like the louvre, but for douchebags. all that was missing were little plaques explaining each award, each black and white picture of the PRODIGAL son. ‘ we were all at dean sampson’s house, celebrating the fact that senior year’s coming to a close soon. someone drew devil horns on one of the many black and white portraits dean’s parents have of him in their staircase, ’ she mutters, eyes now focused on the comings and goings outside of dr. lewis’ window. she’s never cared much for the athletes at houghton.
‘ since then, what’s happened ? how have things been with you and family and friends ? ’
she holds back a scoff. EVERYONE knows how it’s been, thanks to every boston tabloid’s round-the-clock coverage of her family’s grief and the outfits they’ve chosen to accessorize their sadness with. she’s pretty sure she remembers reading that someone thought the death of her brother made her skinnier. she definitely remembers thinking that dante would’ve laughed. ‘ we buried dante on that sunday. and then the school held a beautiful memorial for him, ’ she continues, biting back comments about how RIDICULOUS the memorial was, with its gaudy decorations and speeches. it almost seemed like everyone with a pulse suddenly came out openly as dante’s biggest fan, fawning about how much they individually missed him to both his and cristina’s parents ( an act which led monica alvares to drink for the rest of the evening, convinced she hadn’t loved her son enough ). silence lingers for an instant and dr. lewis shifts in his chair, cocking an eyebrow in the hopes of making her realize cristina hasn’t fully answered his questions. ‘ things have been as good as you’d expect, ’ cristina finally states, realizing that there’s no way he’ll cut this session short, ‘ my parents are really doing the most they can to support me right now. we aren’t the BRADY BUNCH of beacon hill at the moment, but we’ll build ourselves back up together. ’ another eye roll is suppressed as cristina thinks back to her mother on the phone with the lifestyle editor of the boston globe, talking about potential times for cristina to be interviewed about her tennis skills. because no part of an alvares twelve-step grief program is complete without tone-deaf image damage control.
‘ have you been through any other difficult times recently prior to or following the loss ? ’
she inhales rapidly, as if to start a sentence, before catching herself — god, he’s GOOD. almost better than the expensive family therapist, who — truth be told — has never gotten this close to making cristina cough out an honest answer. the girl’s years of practice in the art of deception are wasted on her. plus, that doctor’s probably sleeping with her father. at this point, no one would be surprised. ‘ it’s been tough but, as i said, i go to therapy weekly. plus, senior year’s keeping my mind busy. so, don’t you worry. i’m still the SAME OLD cristina, who eats her five fruit and vegetables a day and can put a yearbook spread together better than the entire yearbook staff put together. ’ she ends her sentence with a smile, prompting dr. lewis to take his glasses off and put them to the side. he knows she’s LYING, but he also knows not to push someone in the steps of their grief process. after all, there’s always a stage of denial before acceptance rolls around. so, instead, he just makes a note to see cristina alvares again in a week as she gets up to go back to class, also noting to check if she’s on antidepressants next session. no one’s this cheery after the death of a twin.
the impact of the impromptu grief counseling session doesn’t hit her until she makes her way to one of the more secluded locations at houghton. shaking hands go straight to the lining of her bag as she tries to hold back tears, fingers racking through various objects before coming in contact with a lighter and a pre-rolled joint. she expertly places one end between her lips and sparks up the other with her lighter, exhaling a cloud of smoke into the air above her, feeling herself RELAX almost instantly. ‘ thank fucking god, ’ she whispers, exhaling another cloud, not bothered to wonder if the smell would tip someone off. she needed this if she was going to go back to class and face her classmates. because if her facade were to fall for even an instant, all would CRUMBLE.

Zomorod (Cindy) Yousefzadeh is the new kid on the block . . . for the fourth time. California’s Newport Beach is her family’s latest perch, and she’s determined to shuck her brainy loner persona and start afresh with a new Brady Bunch name—Cindy. It’s the late 1970s, and fitting in becomes more difficult as Iran makes U.S. headlines with protests, revolution, and finally the taking of American hostages. Even mood rings and puka shell necklaces can't distract Cindy from the anti-Iran sentiments that creep way too close to home.

Julie & Julia (2009)
Biography, Drama, Romance |
Julie & Julia is a American comedy-drama film written and directed by Nora Ephron starring Meryl Streep, Amy Adams, Stanley Tucci, and Chris Messina. The film contrasts the life of chef Julia Child in the early years of her culinary career with the life of young New Yorker Julie Powell, who aspires to cook all 524 recipes in Child’s cookbook in 365 days, a challenge she described on her popular blog that made her a published author.
Ephron’s screenplay is based on two books: My Life in France, Child’s autobiography written with Alex Prud’homme, and a memoir by Powell, Julie & Julia: 365 Days, 524 Recipes, 1 Tiny Apartment Kitchen. Both of these books were written and published between 2004 and 2006.
Julia Child – 1950s
In the 1950s, Julia Child, an enthusiastic and unabashed woman, moves to Paris with her diplomat husband, Paul Child. She attends Le Cordon Bleu to learn French cooking, and is initially met with skepticism as she is the only woman in the class. Madame Elizabeth Brassart, the proprietress of the school and Child clash. She is undaunted however, and begins collaborating on a book about French cooking for American housewives with Simone Beck and Louisette Bertholle.
Julie Powell – 2002
In 2002, Julie Powell is a young writer with an unpleasant job at the Lower Manhattan Development Corporation’s call center, where she answers telephone calls from victims of the September 11 attacks and members of the general public complaining about the LMDC’s controversial plans for rebuilding the World Trade Center. She is discontented with this, and is disheartened at watching her acquaintances succeed in their own professions. She is happily married to Eric Powell, a writer for a magazine.
Director: Nora Ephron
Writers: Nora Ephron (screenplay), Julie Powell (book), Julia Child (book), Alex Prud’homme (book)
Stars: Amy Adams, Meryl Streep, Stanley Tucci, Chris Messina, Linda Emond, Helen Carey, Mary Lynn Rajskub

The Masked Singer: S2, E11 Running Commentary
I’m watching on a delay tonight, so this may be posted after the end of the episode’s airing, but I’m watching on the DVR (I watched the first half hour of AEW Dynamite and also ate some dinner before I pressed play on the recording).
Our final five Masks will become three by the end of tonight’s episode.
As always, no spoilers.
Fox 🦊: Richard? Wayne Brady’s middle name is Alphonso, not Richard. But it does sound like him in this performance...at least how I’m used to hearing him sing on Whose Line and Let’s Make a Deal. I’m sticking with Wayne Brady. Has he done any work with Joey Fatone (who was The Rabbit 🐰 from last season)? And, uh, Dr. Ken...Jamie Foxx’s real name is Eric Bishop, not Richard Bland.
Rottweiler 🐕: A gift to Cadence? Does Chris Daughtry have a kid named Cadence? No, but Cadence was the name of his first band, in which he sang and played rhythm guitar during his high school years. I’d be shocked if Chris Daughtry doesn’t make next week’s finale! And as for the gift clue, Chris has had some comic book art published, doing a Batman cover in 2016.
Thingamajig 🤓: He had a tough year (he had a knee injury and needed physical therapy). He also mentioned his parents came from nothing (possibly immigrants). Victor Oladipo’s parents are West African immigrants. His mother is from Nigeria 🇳🇬, while his father is from Sierra Leone 🇸🇱. I’d also like to see Victor Oladipo in the finale. Indiana Jones leads to the Indiana Pacers, for whom Victor plays. I think Dr. Ken actually has this one right!
Flamingo 🦩: She grew up singing in church and was in a movie called I’m in Love with a Church Girl. Still pretty sure this is Adrienne Bailon. I think it’s between the Flamingo 🦩 and the Fox 🦊 for the last spot in the finale. Her husband’s name is Israel Houghton, by the way.
Leopard 🐆: He sure does have a flair for the dramatic, doesn’t he? I’m sure Leopard’s four “cubs” will be proud of how far their dad Seal has gotten. And I believe Seal did study architecture when he was in university before becoming a singer.

Rory: Finding His Match by PJ Fiala

Detective Rory Richards has had better luck with his career than women. He gets an unexpected second chance with the one-who-got-away, only to find himself in danger of losing everything when the ruthless criminals he and Al are after mark them for dead.
Don’t Dare a Diamond by Stacey Joy Netzel
Raine Diamond is destined for Olympic equestrian gold—until a horrible accident leaves her unable to face the jump that could end her career. Army veteran Reyes Torrez is tasked with getting her back in the arena, but he recognizes her crippling case of post traumatic stress as if he’s looking in a mirror. Can they help each other heal, or will the fallout destroy dreams that have begun to merge into one?
Once a Fool (Houghton County Book 1) by Donna Marie Rogers
Army veteran Officer Cameron Nichols is jaded when it comes to the opposite sex. So why does the cute new librarian have him tied up in knots? Harley Rose Lawson isn’t looking for a relationship—she’s looking for her long-lost brother. A search for family leads her to the love of her life, but when Cam betrays her heart, the happy future she imagined threatens to crash and burn.
Engulfed by Rachel Rivers
Dallas Fire Lieutenant Keeley Summers can read fire like the pages of a book. It speaks to her as it winds up, down and around its victims. She’s never lost a crew member, but that doesn’t mean she’s never lost anyone. Owen Prescott broke Keeley’s heart when he left school to join the Army as a combat K9 handler. Plagued by memories, he’s returned to Dallas to start over and build a legacy to honor his fallen teammates, but an explosive encounter with Keeley stirs feelings too hot to ignore.
BAD BOY BLUES by Jessica Lemmon
He’s not your typical bad boy…
With his dangerous job and busy life, Officer Brady Hutchins prefers steamy one-night hookups over romantic relationships. The beautiful stranger in Evergreen Cove fits that profile perfectly. But after a scorching encounter leaves them both breathless, he’s considering a future with the gorgeous brunette… If only he can convince her to stay.
